Think I've figured out why Obama was confused ... While the world knew what ISIS is/was.. Obama was trying to use a play out of the old Clinton playbook...Obama now says it depends on how you define "is....is".
---
It's a sad state when the US Supreme Court turns its back on an Amendment.. Yesterday, it was the 9th & 10th.. Tomorrow it could be the 2nd.. followed by the 1st and 4th. October 6th may be the date that eclipses 9-11-01 and 12-7-41 as THE day of infamy.
---
HuffPost headline: "Seattle replaces Columbus with indigenous people" -- Well, no one has to ask what they have been smoking... anymore.
---
Hmmm..... Washington libs want to ban the use of "Redskins", yet celebrate Columbus Day by taking a long paid weekend off.
---
From the "what you find on the I-net without even trying: department" Adrian Peterson.. recent NFL headline fodder.. has sired 6 children.... with 6 different women...whatta role model...NOT!
---
Saban may not be the cure-all magician after all. Having major contenders for several years running has shown that new talent goes elsewhere so they have a chance to play before their Jr/Sr seasons.
---
Wonder if Ole Miss has Harvey Updyke "Wanted Posters" all over "The Grove".
---
Rumor has it that Nick Saban has requested that all future games with Auburn end after the 3rd quarter.
---
The little girl we loved on the Bill Cosby Show is... well, she's BACK! On Oprah, she told her that she rejects the notion of labels completely in all areas of her life. "I'm tired of being labeled," she says. "I'm an American. I'm not an African-American; I'm an American." That's a big step in fulfilling Martin Luther's King's "dream", and Rodney King's query of, "can't we all just get along?"
---
You know, our Mayor Obamalinson travels a lot to other cities to bring back what she feels are good ideas for projects here in Columbus.. hmmm.. on the other hand.. how many of those cities' mayors have come to Columbus an taken back her ideas?
---
HuffPost headline: "Chicago-area teen arrested for plot to join ISIS" -- Hmmm.. guess he thought he needed to get off the streets of Chicago for safety...
---
Online story: "President Obama announced Monday, after meeting with top health and security officials about the Ebola outbreak in Africa, that the U.S. government is preparing additional measures to screen passengers in the U.S. and overseas as part of the expanding effort to contain the virus." -- Good grief.. what good is screening for ebola in an airport after everybody has been exposed to it waitin 2+ hours in line to be mauled?
---
Online story: "It appears as though former Obama official Van Jones has taken Rahm Emmanuel’s belief that you never “want a good crisis go to waste” to heart during a Sunday appearance on ABC’s This Week w/ George Stephanopoulos. During a panel discussion on the upcoming midterm elections, Jones suggested that Democrats should point out that the “Ebola thing is the best argument you can make for the kind of government that we believe in.” -- Huh? "Ebola thing is the best argument".. you know,, there's a bit a truth in this assessment by V(_*_)n Jones.. the Democrats do not have anything positive to flaunt.
---
It's said that 90% of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Walmart. You know.. Walmart could put a cell tower at each store and have better coverage than all the other cell companies.
---
Online story: "Rep. Elijah Cummings said Sunday that a majority of black Americans, excluding himself, fear the Secret Service is failing to adequately protect President Obama due to racism. * “Face the Nation” host Bob Schieffer suggested that many members of the black community are worried the Secret Service would better protect a white president." -- Hmmm... doesn't the sitting president pretty much control the Secret Service.. maybe looking at the quality of who Obamageddon appointed is a better measuring mark.
---
Online story: "The Sandy Hook (Connecticut) Advisory Commission, created by Governor Dannel P. Malloy in the aftermath of the school shooting in Newton, Connecticut, claims that the Sandy Hook massacre occurred because Adam Lanza was homeschooled and his emotional problems went undetected. * Although Lanza's mother pulled him out of the classroom, he earned a degree from Newtown High School, an option not available to any homeschooled student." -- Other than L(_*_)nza shot up a elementary school, I want to know why getting a high school in Connecticut is considered a "degree" while everywhere else considers it a diploma. Additionally, wasn't it BECAUSE of his "emotional problems" that his mother, bless her heart, was probably made to pull him from public high school?
---
L-E headline: "2 INCOMING SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS, SUPERINTENDENT OFF TO ROCKY START
Documents show Frank Myers, John Thomas have disagreement with Lewis" -- Hmm.. isn't this exactly why the voters REPLACED Harris and Wells with people more in touch with the voters?
---
From above L-E story: "The relationship between the superintendent and two Muscogee County School Board members-elect already is strained, three months before the new representatives take office." -- The election was held during the primary election in May..it's a total of 7 months before ousted Board members vacate their positions of power..this is just one more reason to have our local Council and School Board elections held on the November General Election date.
---
Open letter to one of our State Representatives:
What will it take to get our local elections back on the November General Election dates?

The politics that followed our Charter Amendment to make sure local elections were decided by a majority versus a plurality have moved the elections from November, first to August and now to May, but all the "situations" that preceded these political moves no longer exist.
Contact yours, too.
---
L-E headline: "Benning to send medical soldiers to fight Ebola in West Africa" -- God help them.. us, too, if our warriors have to follow the same "rules of engagement" they have to abide with concerning the enemy firing first.
---
On a local note.. we certainly wish Councilman McDaniel a speedy and full recovery. First because he's a good man.. secondly because we do not need an "appointed" interim replacement.. in fact, we can't afford an interim 'lapdog' for Mayor Obamalinson
---
L-E headline: "South Lumpkin Road Winn-Dixie to close" -- Hmmm.. musta seen the future...Walmart is acoming.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Women are key to stopping the cycle of violence. Mothers, stop hitting your kids. That is the start of the cycle." -- Women probably are the key.. but the cycle won't end until women wait to be married before having children, and a family to raise those children. The influence of a complete family is the odds for children's futures.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Conservatives have the problem that reality continues to punish their worldview. Abstinence education doesn’t prevent teen pregnancy; tax cuts don’t generate revenue; climate change is real; supply-side economics doesn’t create sustainable growth; etc." -- Whoa! Requiring a photo-ID is no longer enough.. what we need is a sanity authorization by a psychiatrist stating who should be able to vote!
---
Things are getting tough again.. the Columbus L-E's "Foreclosure Section" has expanded again, but at the same time the L-E has shortened the Tuesday edition by a completer section. The "Foreclosure Section" use to be "Section E",; today it's "Section D".

Remember the Vermont college that engaged an ex-Black Panther who killed a Philadelphia policeman as it's "graduation speaker"... godDARD... the school that says the graduates chose (_*_)bu-Jamal as a way to "engage and think radically and critically"? Well, godDARD students design their own curriculums with faculty advisers and do not take tests or receive grades.... Good grief... I hope any institution who has loaned money to a student, or parent who has paid good dollars to godDARD join together and make a class action suit to get all their money back from the school.

---
A school that doesn't test or give grades.. what is a degree based on... 4 years of receipts?

---
Hey... I think I'll rewrite my resume...I think I'll claim I have a Master's, MBA, and PhD degrees. I will say I paid cash and who could check it out and prove I don't?

---
You know.. having an ex-Black Panther who killed a policeman as you "celebrity" graduate speaks droves about the quality of a godDARD experience.

---
Online headline/story: "Unbelievable: What MSNBC Just Blamed Ebola On Destroys Any Shred Of Credibility They Had * On Thursday, two MSNBC contributors attributed the Ebola crisis to the National Rifle Association (NRA), as the NRA stood steadfast against the most recent nominee for Surgeon General, leaving the post vacant." -- "destroys any shred of credibility"? Isn't that sorta like what you get when you multiply anything by nothing... you still have "nothing" .

---
Online headline/story: "What Juan Williams Just Said About White People Has America Shocked * Williams’ rant was interrupted by host Chris Wallace, who asked, “Do you think that the Republican opposition to this president—you heard Hakeem Jeffries talk about hatred, is racial, or do you think it is based on principles and policies?” * Williams responded by claiming that he can’t help but consider the demographics. * “If you look at the core constituency, the people who are in, let’s say, tea party opposition, support of impeachment, there’s no diversity, it’s a white, older group of people,” Williams claimed. “But I would say if you just break it down as a matter of politic analysis and say who is this group, it reminds me that the Republican Party has become almost a completely white party.”" -- Hmmm..."has become almost a completely white party"? Fox must have thought it was earning political correctness points .. showing up NPR, when Fox hired Williams after NPR fired him. Fox thought it had engineered a coup d'etat.. Now it looks like Fox News has a case of "poop d'etat" that it will have to scrape off the bottom of its shoe.

---
Continuing the above subject: "Democrats Racially Diverse; Republicans Mostly White" -- Well, since Democrats are "mostly White".. how is that any more racially diverse. When you get down to it, the racial mix of Republican supporters/voters is greater now than anytime in the last century. What the "headline" is is a "headlie".
---
You know, the number reason there are not more black Republican office holders is that the black bloc vote will not support even other blacks that run on a Republican platform. We had such a case this past election in Columbus. The president of the NAACP stepped down to run for the at-large post on the Muscogee County School Board. The black bloc vote snubbed him as he ran with the support of the local Republican Party.

---
An online story says David Perdue said, "‘I spent most of my career’ outsourcing" -- As a business leader, he probably did, but you know, that makes him a better potential job creator in America. Perdue understands how the tax laws so favored by Obamageddon make businesses look for ways to save money.. which includes "outsourcing". Perdue is equipped with the knowledge to eliminate the government persecution of American jobs.
---
Hmmm... when...if ever.. have both Mississippi SEC teams been ranked higher than Alabama? Go State Go! Huge showdown with Auburn on Saturday! You know.. this year's "Egg Bowl" may be bigger than the "Iron Bowl".
---
L-E story: "You will remember back in August, when Chuck Williams filled in for me and wrote about the metal bench seats that were stolen from the football field at Shirley Winston Park. * They have now been replaced, and it wasn’t as expensive as I’d feared. Parks and Recreation Director James Worsley told me Friday that they’d been replaced at a cost of about $6,500. One reason the cost was reasonable was that a city crew installed them. They were replaced with identical aluminum benches, Worsley said, “And hopefully they won’t get taken.” Let’s hope." -- As long as we are "hoping", let's hope the City "marked" all the metal bleacher benches there and elsewhere around our public parks.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Seventy-four percent of Americans are angry with the Republican Congress. Well … vote them out." -- Libs just know so much that isn't true. If 74% of Americans are against the Republican House, then the Democrats would have a supermajority like they did in 2009-10. As history recorded, Americans replaced that supermajority of Democrats with the largest turnover of representatives as ever seen in American politics.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Islam is no more or less a “way of life” than is Christianity. Christians are all taught to witness our faith in our everyday lives. Why should Muslims be any different?" -- Good grief.. you know, it is not about "faith", it's about what the tenets of that religion is. Christians are taught to turn one's head when wronged, Muslims are taught to chop the same head off.
---
Astute L-E "soundoff": " Ledger-Enquirer: Why are all of your “cartoons” anti-Republican?" -- You know.. the L-E use to carry cartoon panels/strips like "Shoe" and "Mallard Fillmore et al.. but they all suddenly disappeared in a short time frame.
---
It's nice to know that major school football coaches will dismiss thugs from their teams, but a lot of anguish could be eliminated if major college coaches just refused to recruit/sign/play them to begin with.

Online Hong Kong story: ""We are not seeking revolution. We just want democracy!" said Joshua Wong, a 17-year-old student leader. "We hope there will be no violence," he said. "It would be unfortunate if this movement ended with bloodshed and violence." -- "We are not seeking revolution".. I can imagine words similar being expressed in the months leading up to July 4, 1776, but government does not like to easily relinquish powers it has already usurped.
---
You know.. our own knowledge of our history sides with the Chinese students seeking freedom. It's sad, though, that our own college students are swayed by promises of free government health care, government wage controls, student loan forgiveness, and legalized sins.
---
Soapbox Moment: The National Park Service lied! Yesterday's reports said all, well, "most" of the memorabilia at the Flight 93 Memorial storage area was in fireproof safes. Today, the park service says losses included a handful of personal items of passengers and crew, DVD copies of the annual commemoration ceremony and meetings of the Flight 93 National Memorial Federal Advisory Commission.... AND the US Flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol on September 11, 2001! All the National Park Service can say is that " the cause hasn't been determined." -- "the cause hasn't been determined"? Good grief.. government started a "safe" for our Social Security" contributions.. government says it will keep our borders "safe".... government said kept all the 9-11-01 memories in a "safe"... and now government says it is bringing ebola to America and keeping it "safe" in special sealed areas.. I don't feel very "safe".
---
HuffPuff headline: "Biden apologizes to Turkish president over remarks" -- Well, if there is any apologizing Veep Bleep Joe needs to do, it's to the American people. Hmmmm.. but if he did that, he'd have no time to do his government day job... wait a minute.. that would be good America wouldn't it?
---
Online headline: "Amal Alamuddin Rejects UN Request To Investigate Gaza Conflict" -- About 2 months ago, the United Nations' Human Rights Council announced the formation of an international commission of inquiry into possibly human rights violations by Israel and Hamas. Human Rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin was offered a position but turned it down." -- Hmmmm.. Amal Alamuddin... where do we know that name from... oh yeah... she just married George Clooney. Guess Mr & Mrs Clooney didn't want to get stricken from the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl's invitation list.
---
HuffPost headline: "San Fran may tax sodas" -- Good grief..San Francisco already taxes soda 8.75% in general sales taxes.. how quickly Councils forget about how much they take out of their friends', neighbors', and families' pockets... but San Francisco doesn't have "a lock" on this.. Columbus, GA's Council does the same thing.
---
25 of the Top 25 ranked teams were in action this week in 18 games. 8 of those ranked teams, including numbers 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8) went down in upset losses. This is the kind of weekend football all weekend schedules should try to emulate.
---
Online quote source: "“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don't.” - Steve Maraboli " -- Hmmm.. this is another bit of wisdom that won't be hanging on the walls of our class rooms, any entitlement office, or printed on any Democratic Party campaign platform.
---
In spite that this has been Breast Cancer Week.. New Mexico State's "hot pink" jerseys still bested West Virginia's mustard softball-look uniforms as this weeks "worst".
---
As for helmets' category alone".. Texas A&M helmets. ...... What was with the silver mirror finished lettering and decorations? The NCAA needs to outlaw those.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "OMG! According to the morning paper, the mayor took another trip out of town. How many negative comments will your area make about this?" -- Good grief.. hey, it's not about the trips Mayor Obamalinson goes on.. it's about her returning with more ways to tax us then waste those tax dollars.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I’ve come to the conclusion that Michele Nunn is a Republican. The reason she’s running as a Democrat is to please her Paw Paw." -- Good grief.. another Kool-Aid drinker.. Know Knothing Knunn just talks like a Republican to get elected, but she's a Harry Reid Democrat pawn if she does.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Over 9,000 dead and injured veterans and their families on permanent financial life support. Republicans always conveniently forget and ignore soaring Medicare and deficit cost when the war bills come due." -- Good grief... Kool-Aid drinkers are out in numbers today. Obamageddon says he can change things with his "pen and phone". Obviously, changing the VA is not on his agenda.
---
Have you noticed more and more illegal aliens are being allowed to join our military. Of course, under the political correctness protocol of Obamageddon, all officers will have to go back to school to learn the language of their new soldiers rather than new soldiers having to learn English so the officers can address/give orders all their men at once.
---
"Help the Hooch" ... a noble effort...in fact, a MOST noble effort.. on paper.. volunteers have gathered for the past 20 years now, to pick up garbage, clean out trash and debris washed down (or just dumped by indiscriminate citizens) or thrown into the Chattahoochee. Like I said.. it's a MOST noble effort.. on paper. I also noted pictures of a local Power Company's personnel/equipment removing tree trunks out of the "Hooch". Since when are tree trunks that provide a living/feeding environment for the Hooch's habitat considered trash/debris? Sounds to me that removing such natural habitat is for the convenience of vendors and recreational users.
---
You know,, the White House Security was safer when Obamageddon locked out visitors and school tours during the government "shut down". Hmmm government shutdowns WORK!
---
Good grief.. pot isn't even legal in the US, but two states have voted for contrary handling of pot within their borders, and already the liberals are shouting for legalization of heroin and other devastating drugs. You know, there hasn't even been enough time nor information as to whether the positions of the "pros or cons" on marijuana is more correct, and already libs are salivating. Guess their campaign motto will be "Don't shoot (up) until you see you need red veins in your eyes".
---
Why is mainstream media so alarmed at the ineptness of the Secret Service? Lack of leadership is what destroys efficiency, and lack of leadership is the connecting web of all the Obamageddon agency appointees.
---
Good grief.. the Columbus L-E has an ad running with an Alabama Casino saying "Eat Free Daily - Now - October 31 * GA Residents Only" and "Free Never Tasted So Good".. Hmm.. even the sin economy sucks.

Soapbox moment: There was a fire at the site of crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, PA. Though not confirmed as "safe", the memorabilia stored on site was kept in fireproof safes. What's enlightening, though negatively, is that the memorial tower, appropriately 93' tall, is still not complete after 13 years. All told, our government will spend some $70 Million at the site, but you know, its excruciatingly embarrassing to show the world how inefficiently our government can work on a project that should reflect our unity.

---
Online headline/story: "ISIS holds Indiana Army vet hostage * Peter Kassig, 26, appeared in a recent online video showing a masked militant who threatened to behead the Iraq War veteran next. * what the former Army Ranger saw there prompted him to return, the next time as a medical assistant and humanitarian worker hoping to offer blankets, food and medical care to victims of the region's conflicts." -- Good grief.. it's sad.. depressing, that indiscriminate mutilation of people hasn't "grown old" for those of Islamic beliefs. Beliefs? You know... "beliefs" is not the word... Radical Islam has become more of a plague.
---
Personal note: Peter Kassig trained at Ft Benning here in Columbus, GA. Please pray for sanity amidst the barbarians, and for Peter Kassig and his friends and family.
---
HuffPost headline: "In an effort to reassure the public, the Obama administration said it was 'well-equipped to stop Ebola in its tracks.' -- Good grief.. Obamageddon has not stopped illegal immigration "in it's tracks; Obamageddon has not stopped IRS attacks on citizens "in it's tracks"; Obamageddon's Secret Service can't even stop a White House interloper "in it's tracks", yet Obamageddon wants us to feel secure he can stop ebola "in it's tracks? I don't feel so good.
---
Online headline: "Former defense secretary Panetta rips Obama decision * Mistake he thinks president made" -- "Mistake"? Singular? If there was a "single" mistake made, it was in Denver in August of 2008.
---
Online story: " About a dozen protesters were jailed after being arrested during Thursday's protests in Ferguson, and it has some local officials and rights groups questioning if police overreached. * A small number of people gathered outside Ferguson police headquarters, the latest of several protests since the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. * Protesters want Wilson to be charged in the killing of Brown, 18, who was black and unarmed. A grand jury investigation is expected to last into November." -- Have you noticed the one thing that's missing? None of the protesters wants "justice". If "justice" was a part of this mob gathering, Michael Brown's color would not be an issue, and if "justice" was a part of this mob gathering, the grand jury outcome will be accepted peacefully and life will go on.
---
HuffPost story: " A judge struck down part of Missouri's gay marriage ban for the first time on Friday by ordering the state to recognize same-sex marriages legally performed in other states, saying state laws banning the unions single out gay couples "for no logical reason." -- Good grief.. a judge says there's "no logical reason". First, what says a law has to be "logical"? If "logic" was the "key", logically thinking, then Congress would make a logical law that no attachments to a bill could be different from the original bill. (In other words, no author of a bill could add another legislator's earmark to his bill in order to gain the other legislator's vote on the main bill) On the other hand, what's "logical" about saying the voters of one state have the wisdom or power to force another state's voters to agree with their logic?
---
HuffPost story: "An unnamed man claiming to be a member of Congress made his way into a secure area backstage at an event President Barack Obama attended last week * The impostor claimed he was Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-N.J.) * The man was asked to leave the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation awards dinner after another member of the White House staff recognized that he was not actually the congressman. The man left without incident and was not detained." -- Good grief.. a man impersonates a Congressman, is finally "outed", and is allowed to leave, without detention, a secured event attended by a president? Obviously his choice of Secret Service director is questionable, but Obamageddon really did make one good decision in his life... naming Joe Biden as his VP.. no one, absolutely NO ONE (well except the Biden family) wants Joe to assume office.
---
Online headline: "Black Community Goes After Megyn Kelly For Ferguson ‘Racism’, Want Her Fired From Fox News" -- Hmmm the "Black community" wants someone fired for "racism". Funny, the "Black community" has never asked that Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, Charlie Rangel, or Pric Holder or Obamageddon be fired for "racism"...
---
On the above item.. this is what the "Black community" calls "racism"..
"Kelly brought on Fox contributor and Iraq combat vet Pete Hegseth to discuss the beheading video, and what it could potentially mean for the United States and ISIS. Halfway through their conversation, the Fox control room decided to go full-screen with live video of police clashing with protesters in Ferguson. * “Hold on,” Kelly told her staff. “I realize — just — I realize something’s happening in Ferguson, but we’re talking about something important here, so can you at least split-screen the video? Look, the protesters and the police are clashing again, alright? They’re clashing again. But we’re talking about the death of an American who was beheaded, and Pete deserves his say.” -- To be realistic, Megan Kelly would have been more guilty of "racism" if she hadn't protested being cut off from finishing her story about the plight of Pete Hegseth and the barbarian threat of an Islamic jihadist.
---
Why is it that we put our (and our employers' ) money into the Social Security "lock box" Algore created, and Congress is always telling us it's going to run out before we retire, yet,Congress never seems to run out of money for entitlement programs and earmarked projects?
---
Online quote source: "“Why do we close our eyes when we pray? When we cry? When we dream? Or when we kiss? Because we know that the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but felt by the heart.” - Unknown" -- Hmmm.. I know, we all know, why we close our eyes when we pray, cry, dream, and kiss.. What I want to know is why so many voters and mainstream media close their eyes when voting/campaigning for liberals?
---
Online headline: "Sam Nunn condemns ‘shameful’ attack on daughter, says Harry Reid wanted her out of Senate race" -- Hmmm... sounds a litlle more credible.. forceful.. when Sam says the same things than when Michelle repeats them. There's little doubt who will be pulling the apron/puppet strings on Michelle if she's elected. Maybe Sam should run for himself.
---
Online story: "The Macon Telegraph believes government should be transparent and held accountable to the public. In order to fulfill this mission, we are placing a greater emphasis on watchdog journalism through the presentation of online databases." -- Hey.. Like the Columbus L-E, the Macon Telegraph is a McClatchy newspaper. too. Too bad, the staff at the L-E do not share the Telegraph's idealism of being a community watchdog for the local government.. Of course, in dog language, the L-E is a government "lap dog".
---
Online story: "Former Dalton Mayor David Pennington, and loser in the Republican Primary, is backing Libertarian Andrew Hunt’s campaign for governor." -- Good grief.. how does Pennington think he's helping attain a more conservative platform for the Republican Party when he basically is diverting voters FROM the Republican Party that will allow Democrats to win elections?
---
Online headline: "Avondale Estates mayor apologizes for lack of transparency" -- BS! He's apologizing for getting caught... nothing more; nothing less.
---
Online headline: "Teachers grade Common Core: C+ and room for improvement" -- Hmmm.. of course what the teachers don't say is that a "C" today is one point higher than a failing grade when we were in school.
---
L-E headline story: "TEEN GETS 35 YEARS FOR KILLING CSU COED AFTER SOLICITED SEX * Smith, 17, pleads guilty to choking woman to death, then stealing her car * The teen who at age 15 strangled a (21-year-old) Columbus State University student after soliciting sex from her on the Internet pleaded guilty Friday to voluntary manslaughter * Smith picked up the contents of Poupart’s spilled purse, put them back in the handbag and threw it in the trunk, * For the next eight hours or so, he gave friends rides in the car and went shopping at Peachtree Mall, using Poupart’s money" -- How dramatically confirming is this of the complete cultural collapse of an element of society? Prostituting and killing without remorse... and the 15 year old will see the light of day again. Heaven help us.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If the 90 percent weren’t stuck paying taxes for the one percent who won’t pay their fair share, we could afford to be more generous." -- Good grief..this "soundoffer" more than likely received a "refund" for tax creidts he/she didn't even pay. Here is the truth: "The tax rate paid by individuals with incomes in the top 1 percent averaged 23.39 percent, while all filers in the bottom 50 percent paid an average tax rate of 2.37 percent, according to a new Tax Foundation analysis" "The Tax Foundation is a nonpartisan research organization that has monitored fiscal policy at the federal, state and local levels since 1937".
---
L-E commentary column headline/story: " Another problem altogether * “Kids need to understand that guns kill,” Phenix City Police Chief Ray Smith told reporter Chuck Williams. “And that is what they are designed to do.” -- "guns kill"? "designed to do"? What an awful capsulization of the use/need for guns! None of my guns have killed anything. They are for the protection of my family should a criminal decide he/she is entitled to disrespect laws concerning our civil rights. I pray I will never have to pull the trigger on one of my guns because of a criminal's aggression. Otherwise, my guns are perfectly safe as none of them is capable of pulling their own triggers.
---
I saw something I've never seen before last night.. After tying the football game at 12-12, the team went for a 2-point play.. A pass. The ball was thrown, and the referee standing within 3-to-5 yards, looking directly into the play signaled the pass was incomplete. A referee across the field challenged the call, and after a 3-way discussion with, I assume, the head referee, the judgement call was overturned and the home team was given the two points. A game was basically decided by overruling a judgement call when no video replay was available or part of such a formula. Pathetic.

Online story: "The married stars of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" are trading the drama of reality TV for prison. * Teresa Giudice was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Newark to 15 months in prison on conspiracy and bankruptcy charges while her husband, Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice, was sentenced to 41 months." -- Hmmm.. wifey got 15 months.. hubby got 41 months.. where are the liberals demanding equal pay for women?
---
HuffPost headline: "Global Energy Use And CO2 Output May Double By 2100, MIT Report Finds" -- Well, well...."CO2 output may double by 2100".. as long as we're talking 85+ years into the future, why not claim it will triple.. quadruple? Or... as the way I see it.. with CO2 doubling, it looks like trees and grass, even weeds, will thrive, so why isn't Algore happy?
---
HuffPost headline: "U.S. Senator To FIFA: Release Your Corruption Report On The Qatar World Cup" -- Hmmmm.. Qatar... think I'll pass on tickets to this event..after reports of fan riots in civilized countries, can't you imagine how a riot in a jihadist state could quickly escalate into a beheading frenzy?
---
HuffPost headline: "Warren Buffett Defends Burger King's Plan To Flee To Canada" -- "Mr. Tax Me More", the man with an army of CPAs to keep his taxes at there lowest, has just nailed Obamageddon's failure at economic growth and job creation. Corporations have an obligation to their shareholders to be and stay profitable, and it's the tax structure imposed by Obamageddon and the Democrats that's holding progress down.
---
Online headline: "Iowa to Tesla: Stop test-driving your cars in our state" -- Hmmm.. doesn't sound like Iowa is a progressive state.. on the other hand, maybe we can get Iowa to shut down the Iowa Caucus and tell progressives not to test-drive Democrats there, also.
---
L-E story: "A little more than two years into the long-awaited widening of Whittlesey Road between Veterans Parkway and Whitesville Road, the project is lagging about six months behind schedule * “It will be finished about a year from now,” Wellborn said. “It was supposed to be finished about six months from now.” the contractors also ran into some unforeseen drainage problems and some additional cut-throughs were added to the median. Those will add about $900,000 to the price tag, raising it from a projected $8.9 million to $9.8 million project. * The Georgia Department of Transportation is managing the project." -- 3 years, and $900K over budget to make a two lane road into a 4+ lane road.. Good grief...glad it's not a full mile or the DOT would be talking 4.5 years at the rate it's working. Maybe some one other than the DOT should be managing the project.
---
From above story: "The DOT will pay the extra money, he said. Otherwise, the project is being funded with $7.17 million in federal funds and $1.78 in state funds" -- Hello! Neither the federal government nor the state government has a dime that wasn't plucked out of our pockets.. there are no such things as a "free" lunch nor "government grants/funds".
---
Online Associated Press biased story: "A federal appeals court Thursday gave Texas permission to fully enforce a sweeping abortion law signed by Republican Gov. Rick Perry last year that would effectively close all but seven abortion facilities in America's second-most populous state." -- "effectively close all but 7 abortion facilities"? On the hand, the Texas law will close all the abortion facilities that aren't properly equipped to handle emergency needs of a woman. Now.. is it the mainstream media or Texas who is trying to protect women's rights and health issues?
---
Online headline: "Carter says he would've beaten Reagan if he was 'more manly' against Iran" -- Good grief! What a dementia claim! Reagan won by a landslide and 90% of the Electoral College vote. While Carter's Irani position was indeed wimpy, the country dumped Carter because of double digit inflation and way too high tax rates.
---
Hey Jason Carter.. now tell the voters your grandfather likes your outlines for running our state government.
---
I see a lawsuit about to unfold..the Army says 30% of recruits won't be signed because they are 'obese'. Man, if that ain't profiling or discrimination , what is? If course, most of those 30% are liberals and won't be signing up to begin with, so the point is pretty moot.
---
Online quote source: "“Your reputation is in the hands of others. That's what the reputation is. You can't control that. The only thing you can control is your character.” - Wayne W. Dyer" -- "Your reputation is in the hands of others"? Hmmm, if Obamageddon appointed Gibbs/Carney/Earnest to speak for him, and Holder/Lerner/Pierson to act for him, what does that say about Obamageddon's reputation?
---
L-E headline/story: "PC teen homicide: Court records show suspect said 'Somebody gonna die tonight' * Three teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with the Sept. 20 shooting that took the life of 17-year-old Tyrelle Kynard after a party for a potential Central High homecoming king at the Central Activity Center * Martavious Miles, 17, was arrested and charged with Kynard’s murder. Miles and Kynard are cousins, according to earlier reports." -- "Cousins"? Anyone doubt that this is a result of a complete cultural collapse?
---
L-E story: "OPELIKA, Ala. — An argument over staring preceded the shooting that killed two one-time Auburn University football players and another man during a party, one of the hosts testified Thursday." -- Just confirmation of a complete cultural collapse..
---
L-E headline: "Muscogee elections board delays Sunday voting for study" -- Thank heavens for a little sanity. Democrats want to have Sunday voting at a Shopping Mall.. guess they feel it will be easy to get voters in on a "vote once/get another free" basis.
---
L-E story: "Midtown Medical Center and Doctors Specialty Hospital are now one entity, Columbus Regional Health, their parent company, said Thursday." -- Wait a minute.. Columbus Regional already owned both.. they were already one entity. Would love to see the accounting on this... especially an accounting of which executives got special bonuses.
---
L-E headline/story: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD * Senior admits ethics violations * “Because of my strong personal and professional ethics I will continue to stand up against the bullying tactics of Frank Myers and his cronies. I will continue to serve the best interest of the children in my district and in Columbus.” -- Huh? Isn't her role.. all Board Members' roles for that matter, supposed to be an example for the school system.. especially the students? While admitting to violations is "good" trying to excuse them because "everyone else does it" is pathetic. If "everybody else" committed a violent crime, would she think it is OK for her to do so as well?
---
LIVs L-E "soundoff": "It has been almost eight years that President Obama has served his country. It is too bad that you will not accept that a half black man, half white, is president of the United States." -- Ah! When all logic fails, out comes the good old racial trump card. Black/white...in between.. incompetence knows no color, and is unacceptable.

A special request for your prayers. A teenaged boy, son of a military officer who died all too young from cancer, has been diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma. We knew this family well when stationed at Ft Benning and they attended our church. Please pray with us.
---
Obamageddon is pushing the FCC to strip licenses of broadcasters that use the name "Redskins". Is that exclusive to the NFL use or does it apply to grocery store and restaurant advertising as well?
---
Why is it that Michelle Martin runs on the influence her father had in the Democratic Party, yet doesn't mention the Democratic Party in her ads?
---
You know, if "Redskins" is so upsetting to Obamageddon, I think he should demonstrate his commitment to cleaning up public airwaves by yanking TV & radio station licenses that play any music that uses the words, bitches, ho's or n-words (whether ending with "er" or "a").. FIRST!

---
HuffPost "headlie": Deceit Obama couldn't overlook" -- LIE! Obamageddon's capicty to overlook deceit is bottomless!

---
There's a new TV show premiering tonight...."Bad Judge". I was hoping it was to be a reality show about the California court systems.

---
Online story: "The Rockefeller family is divesting some of its massive fortune from fossil fuels, the New York Times reported on Sunday. The Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the family's charitable arm, will announce the landmark move in a video conference on Monday along with 49 other foundations. * According to USA Today, the 50 groups will divest from 200 major oil and gas companies." -- Hypocrites! What you're not hearing them say is that they are divesting themselves (in a charitable manner) of the long term profits of those oil companies.
---
HuffPost story: "California will become the first state that allows family members to ask a judge to remove firearms from a relative who appears to pose a threat, under legislation Gov. Jerry Brown said Tuesday he had signed." -- What California NEEDS is a law that allows families to ask a judge to remove legislators who impose their agenda to override Constitutional rights.
---
L-E story: SACRAMENTO, CALIF. — A federal judge has struck a blow against the sanctity of public pensions in California by ruling that U.S. bankruptcy law permits the city of Stockton to treat pension fund obligations like other debts, allowing the city to cut benefits." -- You know.. "public pensions" funded, either partially or wholly, from tax dollars should be the first obligation stricken from recognized debt in government bankruptcies. Pensions should be more for reward for good and loyal services as they are for hiring incentives just for showing up to a taxpayer funded job that's been carried out inefficiently.
---
Online story: "SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio city council committee has decided to ban the use of hand-held devices in cars. * The proposal would ban dialing, viewing a screen and texting. It would apply to all vehicles on city streets, even those stopped in traffic or at lights. It would not apply to drivers on public property or to GPS devices. Drivers communicating with first responders and people with hands-free devices would still be allowed to use their phones" -- Good grief.. can you even buy a new car today that doesn't have a electronic screen in the dashboard? My phone is a GPS device, probably most of y'all's are as well.. how's that different from a dash mounted dedicated GPS screen? Oh, speaking of 'driver distractions" how about those TV-type billboards that the transition between screens is DESIGNED to get you too look at them rather than the road? This is nothing more than nannyism with an eye on the revenue it can generate, rather than the disasters distractions can cause. Ban those billboards, and make cell towers have jamming devices for non-essential needs when a cellphone is moving faster than 5 miles per hour.
---
Hey.. why don't we swap Pric Holder to Mexico for Sgt Tahmooressi! I'm sure there are a few cartels that would welcome him with "open (and loaded) arms" he sent down via "fast & furious".
---
Online story: "A Milwaukee reporter is claiming that journalists covering first lady Michelle Obama’s speech at a campaign rally for Wisconsin Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke were told not to speak with the crowd at the event." -- When will mainstream media arise from it's Kool-Aid induced coma? Obamageddon has banned photographers from his events and distributes only pictures his staff photographer has taken, and now the pants-in-the-family wants reporters to print only opinions distributed by her staff as well. Mainstream media should probably start supporting our 2nd Amendment before it loses its First and Fourth Amendment rights.
---
Online story: "Even team mascots have rules to abide by. And Rocky, the Denver Nuggets mascot, may learn that lesson the hard way after attending a Colorado GOP rally on Monday without permission." -- I guess, in professional sports, being a Republican supporter is worse than being a wife beater.
---
Online story: "For his new book "No Meek Messiah" writer Michael Paulkovich studied the works of more than a hundred scholars who lived during and shortly after the time it's believed Jesus of Nazareth walked the Earth, which is sometime between 7 BC and 33 AD. He says that there is not a single mention of a man named Jesus in any of the writings. * "When I consider those 126 writers, all of whom should have heard of Jesus but did not. * I must conclude that Christ is a mythical character" -- Hmmm, obviously P(_*_)ulkovich didn't consider the writers of the books in the Bible authors. Obviously P(_*_)ulkovich doesn't know Jesus, either. Pray for him.
---
Online headline/story: "Ohio State fan who ran on field during game loses scholarship * Anthony Wunder was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing and pleaded not guilty in court. His attorney said the school is removing him from the Evans Scholars program, which gives scholarships to former golf caddies, because of the criminal charges. Wunder is a fourth-year engineering student at Ohio State." -- Good grief.. universities cover up violent sexual charges of its student athletes but dismisses an excited student supporter. Academia is sick.
---
Thought I had previously written my last item about "the Boob", but couldn't pass this one - Online headline: "Justin Bieber acted violently against paparazzi in Paris as his bodyguard tried to restrain him on Tuesday" -- Who would want a body guard who couldn't restrain "the Boob"?
---
Online story: "A Washington State teen with a violent criminal history snuck out of jail last week and officials didn't notice his absence until two days later. * Rhyan Vasquez, 19, was booked on September 16th for allegedly committing a violent robbery. * Then on the 22nd, he slipped through an unlocked door after attending a Bible study class held in the visitation area at Marysville Jail. * But officials didn't know until two days later when his lawyer showed up for a visit. When jail staff went to retrieve Vasquez, he was no where to be found." -- Hmmm, maybe the Washington voters might want to reconsider their vote to legalize R&R marijuana.
---
Online headline: "Can A Beyoncé Song Bring Peace To The Middle East?" -- Good grief.. The Kingston Trio brought forth the "Merry Minuet" over 50 years ago, and "they're (STILL) rioting in Africa, and there's (STILL) strife in Iran".
---
The RNC really needs to talk with Fox News to get Fox to stop bringing on Karl Rove to set out strategy plans for Republicans. His only real interest is himself.
---
You know, it shouldn't have been the option of Ms. Julia Pierson to resign/retire. Whether it came directly from Obamageddon or Jeh Johnson, she should have been fired.
---
Random thought: "If women golf pros want equal pay, then they should play equal tees with the men. Results count the same for everybody..
---
Online headline/story: "Goddard College picks convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal as commencement speaker * A man serving life in prison for killing a Philadelphia police officer in 1981 has been selected as a commencement speaker at his Vermont alma mater. * Goddard College, a liberal arts college in Plainfield with 600 students, says on its website that Mumia Abu-Jamal's recorded remarks will be played Sunday at a commencement, along with a video about him. * Bob Kenny, the school's interim president, is quoted on the website as saying the graduates' selection of Abu-Jamal reflects "their freedom to engage and think radically and critically in a world that often sets up barriers to do just that." -- You know.. if there has ever been a valid reason to remove God from education, removing God from the college's name is more than justified. I hope the parents boycott their kids graduation ....
---
Yesterday, I mentioned that California has become the first state to banned plastic bags, and that I thought the voters were recalling Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer. Now here's a question that California has created for itself: What about those reusable grocery bags..aren't they made from recycled plastic bags?
---
Now that California has banned plastic grocery-type bags, the bag manufacturers should get together and form a company to make paper grocery bags out of giant Sequoia trees.
---
Online story: "With a goal of getting out from under federal court supervision by the end of the year, Fulton County’s sheriff said he needs more money to hire 339 additional deputies and jailers to attain the minimum staffing and clear the last major hurdle required by an order that has been in place since 2005." -- Our Sheriff should carry this newstory with him to show Mayor Obamalinson anytime she chastises him for being over budget because of court/federal mandates.
---
Online story: "With a little more than two months remaining before county voters decide whether to extend a 1 percent special purpose local option sales tax, Commissioner Lisa Cupid has decided to remove anti-SPLOST activist Lance Lamberton, chairman of the Cobb Taxpayers Association, from the SPLOST Oversight Committee." -- This move is what exposes the tyranny of government entities.. rather than win the man over with facts, Ms. Cupid has literally become a beheading jihadist. It probably will bring more public awareness and distrust of government by taxpayers. Well, if not, it should.
---
Jason Carter... his v=comments at a local fundraiser this week seemed to excite the L-E, but with it being less than 5 weeks until the general election date, how can the L-E not call Carter on the carpet for presenting an "outline" of his platform.. by now it should be in stone, but that would mean he would have to say where he stands on issues that would cost him too many votes. Campaign promises made up at the moment are harder to make a politician keep if they aren't in writing.
---
L-E story: " A Columbus man jailed 19 months on allegations he threw his estranged girlfriend off a second-floor balcony soon will be free again. And that has authorities concerned the woman he assaulted won’t be safe. * After about three hours’ deliberation Wednesday, a jury found Ricky Bernard Burch Jr. not guilty of three felonies — aggravated assault, aggravated battery and terroristic threats — but guilty of two misdemeanors, assault and battery." -- What is wrong with this community! There's nothing racial about this.. this is the result of a full cultural breakdown! You know.. the guarantee of a jury of one's peers doesn't
mean the jury has to be composed of people who think like the defendant.
---
L-E Headline: "Local leaders bring back big ideas from Austin, Texas * 132 community officials travel to Texas for chamber’s annual inter-city trip" -- Wow.. where do we start analyzing comments made here:

1 - “Any Given Child,” in which fine arts groups partner with the public schools to expose children to the arts." -- Hmmm.. you know.. art IS in the eye of the artist more than the beholder. Give a kid a box of crayons, and you know what he/she is thinking. Kids don't need programs that basically restrict or curtail expression by criticism/approval of an instructor. Just giving a kid an opportunity to express him/herself is all the opportunity a kid needs to express him/herself. His/her desire will be all the motivation needed.

2 - " Mueller Project what could be accomplished with the proposed City Village project to address the blighted area along the First Avenue corridor between TSYS and Bibb City. * “The planned stuff that they put in there is just phenomenal, and I translated it to City Village," -- Speaking of being in the eye of the beholder, it is of selfish personal interest when you've already bought/built a house in the area when government redistribution of tax dollars will directly benefit someone.

3 - " it is clear that poverty is “an albatross around the neck of economic development.” If it is not addressed, an area will not grow economically as well as it could." -- Good grief.. Mayor Obamalinson just hung the albatross of excessive sales taxes, ongoing negative revenue projects, and increasing property tax projects around her own neck.
---
L-E headline/story: "$750K grant will be used to recruit airline to city * Marking the first anniversary of his arrival as director of Columbus Airport, Richard Howell acknowledged the “nice present” he received Wednesday in the form of a $750,000 federal grant. * That money, he said, will be used to recruit a new airline to the city, with a portion of the cash acting as a carrot of sorts. The airport will offer a “revenue guarantee” that will fund any shortfall a carrier experiences in its passenger loads as it gets up and running
* The $750,000 grant comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation and its Small Community Air Service Development Program, which assists airports with various service issues." -- " The $750,000 grant comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation"? Good grief.. "the money" may come from the government, but "the money" started in our pockets, went to Washington, has been divvied up by government employees, and about 20% has made it back to Columbus, and we are suppose to be grateful?
---
Why is all the Democratic Party attention aimed at gun confiscation from Christians? The Democrats, and America,  would be better off at creating knife control laws for Muslims.

HuffPost headline: "Algeria's president absent amid crisis" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought it read America's president. Of course, they could be first cousins.
---
If McDonald's had a branch in the White House, a new ad could feature Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Omar Gonzalez... "over the fence, across the lawn, through the door, over a Secret Service agent, down the hall, and nothing but " bull".
---
Online headline/story: "Report: 76 of 79 deceased NFL players examined had brain disease * The reports says the number more than doubles the number of players previously found to have chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE.* CTE occurs when repetitive head trauma begins to produce abnormal proteins in the brain known as “tau" * retired NFL players and their beneficiaries have until Oct. 14 "to decide whether to opt out of a proposed settlement in the class-action concussion case brought against the league by more than 4,500 former players." -- You know.. it's not the league's fault.. look back at players who did not chase the lure of big money following college. If there is a lawsuit that's appropriate, it's probably against the agents who benefited greatly from encouraging players to sign one more contract extension.
---
Online headline/story: "NFL: Officials shouldn't have flagged Husain Abdullah for Muslim prayer * Chiefs' safety Husain Abdullah was penalized Monday night after returning an interception for a TD and sliding into a prayer position to celebrate." -- Hmmm, then sports announcers should never have condemned Tim Tebow's Christian beliefs, and no flags should ever be thrown for end zone expressions for praising the god of More Money.
---
Online story: "The White House dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit a snag given Modi is conducting a nine-day religious fast. * During Modi's meal with President Obama on Monday night, Modi opted for warm water while the President chowed down on compressed avocado with goat cheese and baby bell peppers, crisped halibut with ginger carrot sauce, and mango crème brûlée * Modi is in Day 6 of abstaining from food, in observance of the Hindu festival of Navratri" -- And we wonder why other countries call us "The Ugly Americans". The Prime Minister of India hadn't eaten for 6 days, and Obamageddon brought in guests to gawk at him. Of interest: There was a picture of the group as they dines.. Salt shakers were all over the table.. so much for Michelle's health kick claims.
---
Online story: "One person's requirement for religious accommodation can seem all-too-much like discrimination to another. * An El Al flight from New York to Tel Aviv last week encountered delays when several ultra-orthodox Jewish men refused to take their seats next to women over religious objections. * Ultra-orthodox Judaism forbids physical contact between men and women unless they are first-degree relatives or married to one another. In an airplane with close quarters, maintaining such separation is not easy." -- Good grief.. the last three stories have been about religious observances that weren't observed.. just political incorrectness. Wow...what if the women on El Al had been Muslims.....
---
Online story: " 'Jeopardy' slammed over sexist 'What Women Want' category" -- Good grief.. political correctness needs to be taken out to the wood shed, and be "whupped" by Adrian Peterson.
---
Online story: "The American Civil Liberties Union has brought a lawsuit against a Vermont police officer who they claim illegally detained a man, towed his car and then charged him a tow fee even after they found no crime was committed." -- New England.. the kingdom of liberalism in action, and the master plan liberals have for America. Wonder when the ACLU will notice this and drop the lawsuit?
---
Online story: "A single speed camera in Brooklyn is proving to be a boon for for city coffers after it issued 1,551 tickets on a single summer day. * Drivers traveling 10 miles per hour or more down an exit ramp near Ocean Parkway were treated to a $50 ticket. All told, the one camera generated $77,550 in speeding tickets July 7. * A Department of Transportation spokesperson told the New York Post that the 400-foot ramp gives drivers ample time to slow down to the posted speed of 30 mph" -- Whoa! Here locally, Mayor Obamalinson has installed cameras on the major thoroughfare in Midtown... the future is getting clearer.
---
Speaking of Midtown, the association is having an event that costs $50.00 a person to mingle and rub elbows with Mayor Obamalinson.. that oughta bring in all economic levels of neighbors...NOT!
---
Wow.. who'd have believed our government and China's would be handling any situation in a similar manner, but on the issue of individuals' freedoms, it's a shocker. Wonder if the mainstream media will start referring to Chinese students as "Tea Baggers"?
---
Online story: "FCC commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to repeal the rules that allowed sports leagues, mainly the NFL, to bar regions from watching their home teams on television if games did not sell out." -- Hmmm.. looks like Big Networks have bought the FCC....
---
From the "truth be known" department: Baby Clinton-Mezvinsky made her debut... mainstream media made an immediate connection with the debut of England's Baby Prince George's debut..of course the imagery was mirrored of the Royals.. the Royal's did it the Right Way, and the Clinton-Mezvinsky's did it the Left Way. Of course, Kate looked a whole lot better in her blue dress than Chelsea did in hers.
---
Have you seen the video of two Great White Sharks fighting off the coast of Australia? Rumor has it Harvard Law has purchased the rights to use as a training film for 1st year students.
---
Online story: "President Obama shared an elevator earlier this month with an armed security contractor who has three felony convictions relating to assault and battery, in the latest report of a serious violation of Secret Service security protocols * took place in an elevator during Obama's Sept. 16 visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta." -- Obamageddon must have felt like he was at home in Chicago. So much for more background check laws keeping guns out of the hands of felons..or is the gun stolen?
---
From above story: "“You have a convicted felon within arm’s reach of the president and they never did a background check,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said. “Words aren’t strong enough for the outrage I feel for the safety of the president and his family.” * Chaffetz added: “His life was in danger. This country would be a different world today if he had pulled out his gun.” -- Hey.. a bit melodramatic since Joe Biden is next in line..
---
Online headline: "Microsoft debuts Windows 10 with familiar features" -- Whoa.. I've intentionally skipped Windows8 because I lost so many programs that wouldn't work on Windows7, but I didn't think I slept through Windows9..
---
L-E headline: "Illinois college to build sustainability center" -- Ooops my bad.. thought some college had adapted to career students.
---
Online story: "The state ethics commission has dismissed a complaint accusing Democratic candidate for governor Jason Carter of violating state law by sending fundraiser invitations during the legislative session.
* The commission responded to former state Sen. John Douglas in a Sept. 25 letter, saying that the complaint was rejected because Carter didn't solicit donations for his own campaign against Gov.Nathan Deal. * State Sen. Carter sent invitations for a New York fundraiser and cocktail reception to benefit the Democratic Party of Georgia's Victory 2014 fund." -- Hmmm.. when is an ethics violation not an ethics violation... when it involves Democrats.. guess it's because it's a morals issue, and Democrats have bee excused from being responsible for those.
---
General alert: Got an e-mail from "FedEx" claiming an attempt to deliver a package had failed, and I should click on an icon which would print out a "label" which would allow me to pick the package up. It's a scam. FedEx leaves a note at you door for a package it needs to get a signature on. The one I got today was from support@elcafia.com but I'm sure many fake names are used.

L-E story: " A Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office employee who was suspended with pay in August 2011 is still on paid administrative leave more than three years later without any significant response to the allegations against her, according to multiple officials. * Administrative coordinator Regina Millirons, who receives a salary of $40,737.59, is accused of an unauthorized release of protected employee information. * Millirons has been on paid leave for nearly 38 months since the Georgia Bureau of Investigation delivered its findings to District Attorney Julia Slater’s office on Aug. 17, 2011. * Slater on Tuesday would give no timetable for the decision, but Assistant District Attorney Al Whitaker said the case was “vigorously being viewed at this time. * Slater had no comment." -- 38 months "paid administrative leave"? .. that's over $129,000.00! "vigorously being viewed at this time" should have happened 38 months ago, yet our DA has "no comment". Pathetic.. shoot, that $129,000.00 would have paid the City's share of the $244K RiverWalk bathoom, but now it just joins that $244K as being tax dollars flushed down the drain. Hope Darr reminds Mayor Obamalinson of this the next time she complains about mandates that rip the Sheriff's Office budget to shreds.
L-E headline: "Government confirms first case of Ebola in US" -- This was by accident.. (well if you consider government inefficiency an accident).. but the NIH is going to voluntarily bring ebola infected patients into the Washington, DC area? As Forrest Gump was apt to say, "Stupid is as stupid does".
---
L-E story: " Columbus’ police chief and fire chief came before Columbus Council Tuesday seeking funding for critical needs for their respective departments. * Police Chief Ricky Boren asked council to approve his spending almost $700,000 that he carried over from the fiscal 2014 budget for overtime, vehicle replacement and other equipment." -- Hey...isn't this the stuff we thought the Public Safety LOST tax was covering? You know, Council approved more than this amount this past year for the Crime Prevention Committee projects. Obviously, those projects haven't decreased the demands of crime in Columbus... it's time to disband that Committee. Hey, and the CFD has needs as well.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "There is no other issue affecting the Governor's race in Georgia as important as education. We're talking about investing in our future, our lives. And education in Georgia is currently in the worst shape ever." -- You know.. why is it Democrats only complain about the quality of education when Democrats aren't in power. The reason Democrats aren't in power is because Georgians want better education and it take years of conservative attention to undo what Dems did while in power.
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "On this date: In 1885, special delivery mail service began in the United Stares." -- Hmmm, rumor has it the recipient's descendants are still looking for it.
---
L-E headline: "No images of Hong Kong protests in China’s media" -- Hmmm, guess China has taken another idea out of Obamageddon's playbook.. allow only "official" photographers to take and distribute pictures.
---
I see where Ft Benning is going to drop some 500 pound bombs on base. Hmmm, guess that would be the equivalence of seeing Blob Beckel deliver a defense of Obamgeddon on Fox New's "The Five".
---
L-E headline: "Braves’ hitting coach resigns" -- "Braves hitting coach"? Isn't that sorta an oxymoron?
---
L-E headline: "California becomes first state to ban plastic bags" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought California was recalling Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer.
