Soapbox Moment: The National Park Service lied! Yesterday's reports said all, well, "most" of the memorabilia at the Flight 93 Memorial storage area was in fireproof safes. Today, the park service says losses included a handful of personal items of passengers and crew, DVD copies of the annual commemoration ceremony and meetings of the Flight 93 National Memorial Federal Advisory Commission.... AND the US Flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol on September 11, 2001! All the National Park Service can say is that " the cause hasn't been determined." -- "the cause hasn't been determined"? Good grief.. government started a "safe" for our Social Security" contributions.. government says it will keep our borders "safe".... government said kept all the 9-11-01 memories in a "safe"... and now government says it is bringing ebola to America and keeping it "safe" in special sealed areas.. "Help the Hooch" ... a noble effort...in fact, a MOST noble effort.. on paper.. volunteers have gathered for the past 20 years now, to pick up garbage, clean out trash and debris washed down (or just dumped by indiscriminate citizens) or thrown into the Chattahoochee. Like I said.. it's a MOST noble effort.. on paper. I also noted pictures of a local Power Company's personnel/equipment removing tree trunks out of the "Hooch". Since when are tree trunks that provide a living/feeding environment for the Hooch's habitat considered trash/debris? Sounds to me that removing such natural habitat is for the convenience of vendors and recreational users.
