HuffPost headline: "Algeria's president absent amid crisis" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought it read America's president. Of course, they could be first cousins.
---
If McDonald's had a branch in the White House, a new ad could feature Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Omar Gonzalez... "over the fence, across the lawn, through the door, over a Secret Service agent, down the hall, and nothing but " bull".
---
Online headline/story: "Report: 76 of 79 deceased NFL players examined had brain disease * The reports says the number more than doubles the number of players previously found to have chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE.* CTE occurs when repetitive head trauma begins to produce abnormal proteins in the brain known as “tau" * retired NFL players and their beneficiaries have until Oct. 14 "to decide whether to opt out of a proposed settlement in the class-action concussion case brought against the league by more than 4,500 former players." -- You know.. it's not the league's fault.. look back at players who did not chase the lure of big money following college. If there is a lawsuit that's appropriate, it's probably against the agents who benefited greatly from encouraging players to sign one more contract extension.
---
Online headline/story: "NFL: Officials shouldn't have flagged Husain Abdullah for Muslim prayer * Chiefs' safety Husain Abdullah was penalized Monday night after returning an interception for a TD and sliding into a prayer position to celebrate." -- Hmmm, then sports announcers should never have condemned Tim Tebow's Christian beliefs, and no flags should ever be thrown for end zone expressions for praising the god of More Money.
---
Online story: "The White House dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit a snag given Modi is conducting a nine-day religious fast. * During Modi's meal with President Obama on Monday night, Modi opted for warm water while the President chowed down on compressed avocado with goat cheese and baby bell peppers, crisped halibut with ginger carrot sauce, and mango crème brûlée * Modi is in Day 6 of abstaining from food, in observance of the Hindu festival of Navratri" -- And we wonder why other countries call us "The Ugly Americans". The Prime Minister of India hadn't eaten for 6 days, and Obamageddon brought in guests to gawk at him. Of interest: There was a picture of the group as they dines.. Salt shakers were all over the table.. so much for Michelle's health kick claims.
---
Online story: "One person's requirement for religious accommodation can seem all-too-much like discrimination to another. * An El Al flight from New York to Tel Aviv last week encountered delays when several ultra-orthodox Jewish men refused to take their seats next to women over religious objections. * Ultra-orthodox Judaism forbids physical contact between men and women unless they are first-degree relatives or married to one another. In an airplane with close quarters, maintaining such separation is not easy." -- Good grief.. the last three stories have been about religious observances that weren't observed.. just political incorrectness. Wow...what if the women on El Al had been Muslims.....
---
Online story: " 'Jeopardy' slammed over sexist 'What Women Want' category" -- Good grief.. political correctness needs to be taken out to the wood shed, and be "whupped" by Adrian Peterson.
---
Online story: "The American Civil Liberties Union has brought a lawsuit against a Vermont police officer who they claim illegally detained a man, towed his car and then charged him a tow fee even after they found no crime was committed." -- New England.. the kingdom of liberalism in action, and the master plan liberals have for America. Wonder when the ACLU will notice this and drop the lawsuit?
---
Online story: "A single speed camera in Brooklyn is proving to be a boon for for city coffers after it issued 1,551 tickets on a single summer day. * Drivers traveling 10 miles per hour or more down an exit ramp near Ocean Parkway were treated to a $50 ticket. All told, the one camera generated $77,550 in speeding tickets July 7. * A Department of Transportation spokesperson told the New York Post that the 400-foot ramp gives drivers ample time to slow down to the posted speed of 30 mph" -- Whoa! Here locally, Mayor Obamalinson has installed cameras on the major thoroughfare in Midtown... the future is getting clearer.
---
Speaking of Midtown, the association is having an event that costs $50.00 a person to mingle and rub elbows with Mayor Obamalinson.. that oughta bring in all economic levels of neighbors...NOT!
---
Wow.. who'd have believed our government and China's would be handling any situation in a similar manner, but on the issue of individuals' freedoms, it's a shocker. Wonder if the mainstream media will start referring to Chinese students as "Tea Baggers"?
---
Online story: "FCC commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to repeal the rules that allowed sports leagues, mainly the NFL, to bar regions from watching their home teams on television if games did not sell out." -- Hmmm.. looks like Big Networks have bought the FCC....
---
From the "truth be known" department: Baby Clinton-Mezvinsky made her debut... mainstream media made an immediate connection with the debut of England's Baby Prince George's debut..of course the imagery was mirrored of the Royals.. the Royal's did it the Right Way, and the Clinton-Mezvinsky's did it the Left Way. Of course, Kate looked a whole lot better in her blue dress than Chelsea did in hers.
---
Have you seen the video of two Great White Sharks fighting off the coast of Australia? Rumor has it Harvard Law has purchased the rights to use as a training film for 1st year students.
---
Online story: "President Obama shared an elevator earlier this month with an armed security contractor who has three felony convictions relating to assault and battery, in the latest report of a serious violation of Secret Service security protocols * took place in an elevator during Obama's Sept. 16 visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta." -- Obamageddon must have felt like he was at home in Chicago. So much for more background check laws keeping guns out of the hands of felons..or is the gun stolen?
---
From above story: "“You have a convicted felon within arm’s reach of the president and they never did a background check,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said. “Words aren’t strong enough for the outrage I feel for the safety of the president and his family.” * Chaffetz added: “His life was in danger. This country would be a different world today if he had pulled out his gun.” -- Hey.. a bit melodramatic since Joe Biden is next in line..
---
Online headline: "Microsoft debuts Windows 10 with familiar features" -- Whoa.. I've intentionally skipped Windows8 because I lost so many programs that wouldn't work on Windows7, but I didn't think I slept through Windows9..
---
L-E headline: "Illinois college to build sustainability center" -- Ooops my bad.. thought some college had adapted to career students.
---
Online story: "The state ethics commission has dismissed a complaint accusing Democratic candidate for governor Jason Carter of violating state law by sending fundraiser invitations during the legislative session.
* The commission responded to former state Sen. John Douglas in a Sept. 25 letter, saying that the complaint was rejected because Carter didn't solicit donations for his own campaign against Gov.Nathan Deal. * State Sen. Carter sent invitations for a New York fundraiser and cocktail reception to benefit the Democratic Party of Georgia's Victory 2014 fund." -- Hmmm.. when is an ethics violation not an ethics violation... when it involves Democrats.. guess it's because it's a morals issue, and Democrats have bee excused from being responsible for those.

General alert: Got an e-mail from "FedEx" claiming an attempt to deliver a package had failed, and I should click on an icon which would print out a "label" which would allow me to pick the package up. It's a scam. FedEx leaves a note at you door for a package it needs to get a signature on. The one I got today was from support@elcafia.com but I'm sure many fake names are used.

L-E story: " A Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office employee who was suspended with pay in August 2011 is still on paid administrative leave more than three years later without any significant response to the allegations against her, according to multiple officials. * Administrative coordinator Regina Millirons, who receives a salary of $40,737.59, is accused of an unauthorized release of protected employee information. * Millirons has been on paid leave for nearly 38 months since the Georgia Bureau of Investigation delivered its findings to District Attorney Julia Slater’s office on Aug. 17, 2011. * Slater on Tuesday would give no timetable for the decision, but Assistant District Attorney Al Whitaker said the case was “vigorously being viewed at this time. * Slater had no comment." -- 38 months "paid administrative leave"? .. that's over $129,000.00! "vigorously being viewed at this time" should have happened 38 months ago, yet our DA has "no comment". Pathetic.. shoot, that $129,000.00 would have paid the City's share of the $244K RiverWalk bathoom, but now it just joins that $244K as being tax dollars flushed down the drain. Hope Darr reminds Mayor Obamalinson of this the next time she complains about mandates that rip the Sheriff's Office budget to shreds.
L-E headline: "Government confirms first case of Ebola in US" -- This was by accident.. (well if you consider government inefficiency an accident).. but the NIH is going to voluntarily bring ebola infected patients into the Washington, DC area? As Forrest Gump was apt to say, "Stupid is as stupid does".
---
L-E story: " Columbus’ police chief and fire chief came before Columbus Council Tuesday seeking funding for critical needs for their respective departments. * Police Chief Ricky Boren asked council to approve his spending almost $700,000 that he carried over from the fiscal 2014 budget for overtime, vehicle replacement and other equipment." -- Hey...isn't this the stuff we thought the Public Safety LOST tax was covering? You know, Council approved more than this amount this past year for the Crime Prevention Committee projects. Obviously, those projects haven't decreased the demands of crime in Columbus... it's time to disband that Committee. Hey, and the CFD has needs as well.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "There is no other issue affecting the Governor's race in Georgia as important as education. We're talking about investing in our future, our lives. And education in Georgia is currently in the worst shape ever." -- You know.. why is it Democrats only complain about the quality of education when Democrats aren't in power. The reason Democrats aren't in power is because Georgians want better education and it take years of conservative attention to undo what Dems did while in power.
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "On this date: In 1885, special delivery mail service began in the United Stares." -- Hmmm, rumor has it the recipient's descendants are still looking for it.
---
L-E headline: "No images of Hong Kong protests in China’s media" -- Hmmm, guess China has taken another idea out of Obamageddon's playbook.. allow only "official" photographers to take and distribute pictures.
---
I see where Ft Benning is going to drop some 500 pound bombs on base. Hmmm, guess that would be the equivalence of seeing Blob Beckel deliver a defense of Obamgeddon on Fox New's "The Five".
---
L-E headline: "Braves’ hitting coach resigns" -- "Braves hitting coach"? Isn't that sorta an oxymoron?
---
L-E headline: "California becomes first state to ban plastic bags" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought California was recalling Pelosi, Feinstein, and Boxer.
