Online headline: "More than 5,500 drug inmates to be set free early * The Justice Dept. says about 40,000 prisoners may eventually be eligible for release as part of a new program aimed at reducing prison populations." -- "reducing prison populations"? Good grief.. how about restocking the streets with habitual offenders...

---
Online story: "U.S. President Barack Obama kicked off a sales pitch on Tuesday for a 12-nation Pacific Rim trade agreement, urging farmers to push their lawmakers to approve what he called a "generational deal." -- "generational deal"? Yeah.. but more like a "deal from the bottom of the deck". There's no provision to corral .. nor penalize.. currency manipulation of China and Japan...

Online headline: "DC considering 16 weeks paid leave" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought Democrats in Congress were going to leave Washington until after the 2016 elections...

---
Instant replay - Online headline/story: "DC considering 16 weeks paid leave *  New D.C. Council legislation introduced Tuesday would give workers 16 weeks of paid leave in circumstances ranging from the birth of a child to caring for a dying parent. * The legislation would allow employees who work in Washington and city residents who work outside the city to access a fund that would pay for the leave, its sponsors say. * A government-run fund created by a new tax on employers would pay for the benefit. Workers earning up to $52,000 a year would get 100 percent of pay. Higher earners could get $1,000 weekly plus 50 percent of additional income up to a maximum of $3,000. * Workers can use the time to bond with an infant or adopted child, to recover from an illness, to recuperate from a military deployment, or to care for an ill family member.*  D.C. Council member David Grosso, who introduced the bill along with six other members of the 13-member council, said in a statement Tuesday that the so-called Universal Paid Leave Act "will support our D.C. workers and families." -- First, before we all feel suckerpunched in the stomach..  the DC Council cannot include federal government employees.  Still, this will be a catastrophe for non-government employers... and their customers!  Basically, every private business employee could take 1/3rd of the year off in paid leave... and still get vacation time as well.

---
Online story: "California Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation on Tuesday aimed at closing the wage gap between men and women, a law that supporters say is among the strongest in the country." -- Good grief.. all this will do is assure men get preferential treatment over jobs and promotions as employers are shutout from getting a job done by whomever will/can do it for less. It will hurt women that way directly, and in the future as well as a vital "foot-in-the-door" access will be slammed shut.

Online headline: "Beyonce and Jay Z snag a massive LA mansion * The pop power couple just put down new roots in Los Angeles and are reportedly renting ($150K per month) a $45 million Holmby Hills palace." -- Just last night, a show about the "Filthy Rich" came on after a favorite show of ours, "Shark Tank". Though we weren't planning on watching the "Filty Rich" show, it started out mentioning the excessive gifting to each other Beyonce and Jay Z are engaged in.. She gave him a $2 Million dollar car, and a $5 Million dollar watch.. he reciprocated by buying her an island off Mexico for $20 Million, then she 1-upped him by buying him a nearly $40 Million dollar jet. The show ended before letting us know how many millions it provided for the homeless or how many scholarships they gave to needy students... yeah.. right.

Online headline/story: "HARVARD VS. CONVICTS Ivy League debate team loses to New York inmates * the inmates were tasked with defending the position that public schools should be allowed to turn away students whose parents came to the U.S. illegally. Harvard's team responded, but a panel of neutral judges declared the inmates victorious." -- What a condemnation of the education system curriculum basically created/influenced by Harvard graduates....

---
Online story: "One of the top public universities in the state of California has recently announced a new $20 million fund to endow scholarships for African-American students and to foot the bill for diversifying faculty chair positions. " --- Hmm .. let's look at the "diversity " in California:
                                                                                                        California     USA
Black or African American alone 2014 (a)                                              6.5%         13.2%
American Indian and Alaska Native alone 2014 (a)                                  1.7%          1.2%
Asian alone 2014 (a)                                                                           14.4%          5.4%
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander alone 2014 (a)                         0.5%          0.2%
Two or More Races, percent  2014                                                          3.7%          2.5%
Hispanic or Latino, percent 2014 (b)                                                       38.6%        17.4%
White alone, 2014                                                                                 38.5%        62.1%

Hmmm.. wanna bet that some Harvard education specialists had a hand in figuring this out.? Probably the debate team coaches....

Online story: "the lying President of the United States said this: "We know that the states with the most gun laws tend to have the fewest gun deaths. So the notion that gun laws don't work, or just will make it harder for law-abiding citizens and criminals will still get their guns is not born out by the evidence." Right...only in the mind of Barack Obama." -- Good grief..Washington, DC though not a state.. YET... has the toughest gin laws and the worst per capita "gun deaths" in the country.. and Obamageddon's home city.. Chicago.. has had 2,354 people shot so far in 2015 (351 have died).. wanna talk about Chicago's gun laws?

Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke has entrenched himself in my Top 3 Law Enforcement officers in the country. (Numbers 1 & 2 are in Columbus). Responding to a story about a Dunkin' Donuts refusing to serve a police officer ( in uniform) a cup of coffee (and subsequent generic apology by Dunkin Doughnut) Clarke responded to a suggestion made by Fox Anchor Gleta van Susteren that Dunkin Donut's CEO issue a directive that all police officers get free coffee and doughnuts.. Clarke showed his proficiency and accuracy in taking out a target.. he simply added that he preferred Krispy Kreme... We already avoid Arby's for a similar reason, but avoiding Dunkin Donut coffee will be a true sacrifice as my bride loves DD coffee..but it's what we must do in support of our law enforcement men and women.

Online story: "On August 28, the NRA presented ATF and FBI data showing Americans have purchased “170 million new guns” since 1991, and violent crime has fallen “51 percent.” * The NRA tweeted, “Since ’91, Americans have acquired over 170 million new firearms and violent crimes have declined by 51%.” -- Hmmm.. though not a member of the NRA or its poll, I did buy my first hand gun in 1993 following the Chicago riots after the Bulls won the NBA championship, the Rodney King riots, and a local carjacking in a neighborhood I passed through often. I could no longer consider not being able to defend myself.  I have never had to pull it.. nor brandish it, but I have had a couple of incidences in a mall parking lot where wearing it on my hip seemed to divert possible criminal acts... It was good money spent ..

Could the Democratic Party leadership's focus on "climate change/global warming" simply be that the Democratic Party leadership is so old that they are all post-menstrual and need estrogen treatmemts?

L-E headline/story: "PATH-TEC TO ADD 100 NEW JOBS IN EXPANSION * Company taking over plant left vacant by Litho-Krome *  A Columbus company called Path-Tec is expanding into a 126,000-square-foot plant left vacant earlier this year by the closure of the Litho-Krome printing operation by greeting card firm Hallmark. *  Path-Tec said Monday it has purchased the facility at 5700 Old Brim Road, inside Muscogee Technology Park, and expects to add 100 new jobs within a few years. The 10-year-old company already has 100 people on its payroll at its existing 79,000-square-foot location on Belfast Avenue, an area in which Char-Broil once assembled outdoor grills before moving production out of the United States. * Litho-Krome vacating the facility and the city a “kick in the gut, * The closure by Hallmark eliminated about 50 jobs locally and ended Litho-Krome’s more than eight-decade presence in the city. The erosion began years ago, however, with Litho-Krome’s work force at about 275 in 1998 when it operated off 13th Street near downtown Columbus. It fell to about 140 employees as it moved into the new and more efficient showpiece printing plant in the Midland area in 2003" --- Hmmm.. so Litho-Krome closing shop was a"kick in the gut".. Funny, I don't remember Char-Broil's shipping local jobs to China being described that way back then.. local favoritism?

Jonathan Gruber LIV's L-E "soundoff": "To the counselors who haven’t made up their minds about the tax referendum: The voters put you into office. Why can’t the voters speak with the same wisdom and judgment to decide this significant issue?" -- You know.. It's not an issue among homeowners.. just greedy politicians.. The freeze was enacted by homeowners and defended by homeowners on separate occasions.. if there is another onslaught by greedy politicians, it should voted on only by property owners...

Online story: " Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday lashed out at the special House committee investigating the deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya, calling it a partisan political exercise designed to "exploit" the deaths of four Americans. * House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy's recent comments that the Benghazi panel can take credit for the Democratic front-runner's diminished public standing prove Republicans are going after her for political reasons, * she told NBC's "Today" show that if she were president, she would have "done everything" in her power to shut down such a partisan investigation." -- "going after her for political reasons"?  Since when are accountability and responsibility and transparency and decency  "political reasons"?  Besides.. her alternative is to tell the truth.. and we know that is not within her..

---
From above story: "she told NBC's "Today" show that if she were president, she would have "done everything" in her power to shut down such a partisan investigation."  -- Hmmm.. sorta like Nixon and Watergate, Bill and Monica et al.. oh.. and HiILLsbury DOUGHgirl and Whiewater/Rose Law Firm files?

---
From the "only in California" department - Online story: "California will become the fifth state to allow terminally ill patients to legally end their lives using doctor-prescribed drugs after Gov. Jerry Brown announced Monday he signed one of the most emotionally charged bills of the year. Online counter story:
"On July 16, 2014, federal judge Cormac J. Carney of the United States District Court ruled that California's death penalty system is unconstitutional because it is arbitrary and plagued with delay. The state has not executed a prisoner since 2006." -- Good grief.. ordinary citizens are qualified to decide to take their own lives, but aren't qualified to decide the fate of heinous criminals?

---
Random thought: How is it that Louis Farakhan's "Nation of Islam" is not in today's limelight? At best it is a terrorist organization.

---
Online headline: "Democratic Senators: 'We Can And Must Do More' For Syrian Refugees" -- Hmmm..wish someone would post this at every VA and Entitlement office in the country so those already in need would see the Democrats want to cut into the already sparse reserves of existing funds.

---
What's the first thing that pops into your mind when you see the Burger King "Black Whopper"?  Mine is an in=mage of Obamageddon making a speech.

---
Online story: "Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton on Monday proposed tighter gun-control measures, including expanded background checks, and suggested that if elected she would use executive powers to achieve her goals." -- " use executive powers to achieve her goals"? Good grief.. though Democrats try, no president has the power to repeal a Constitutional Amendment, and Congress and the US Supreme Court should use their powers to remove such a person from office... it's literally treasonous.

---
Online story: "Patriotic teenagers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming showed up to class Wednesday waving American flags in defiance of educators who canceled “America Day” over fears it might upset students who don’t consider themselves to be American." -- Good grief.. what an education fail!

---
Biden just called the Republican candidates "homophobic".. not one , but most of them...guess between Biden, Clinton, and Sanders, the Republicans could label all the Democrats as post-menstrual.

---
Why are people concerned about whether or not Trump is in for the long haul? He's leading every Republican poll..shouldn't mainscream media be asking the lower echelon candidates when they will pull the cord?

---
Where's Algore? If Charleston, SC was in Louisiana, he'd be out claiming climate change and blaming Bush.

---
Speaking of Charleston, SC.. where's Obamageddon as well?

---
L-E story: " Last year, it cost the city about $425,000 over the revenue the courses generated to keep Bull Creek and Oxbow Meadows operational. The bulk of that — $250,000 — was spent at Oxbow." -- You know.. if the golf course were mandated to provide a profitable margin.. even a "break even" one, the savings would exceed what is being gained by dropping garbage pick ups to once a week.

---
L-E story: "The competition pool at the Columbus Aquatic Center has been closed due to a malfunctioning pump and will remain closed until it can be repaired, according to Holli Browder, assistant director Parks and Recreation. * The therapeutic pool and the rest of the facility will remain open and available for use, Browder said." -- Good grief! Just close it down altogether until it is 100% operational! Even tough revenues collected don't justify it being open anyway, when it's not able to charge fees for use, then it is nothing but a money pit!

---
L-E story: "Uptown Columbus Inc., a downtown nonprofit organization, held a meeting to discuss the parking issues and about 40 merchants and property owners for businesses on Broadway, First Avenue and 12th Street attended. * “This is a different downtown and different customer base than it was 30 years ago,” Nelms said." --  Here's a compromise.. make parking meters to be  used only after 6:00 PM .. It will eliminate college students from parking on the streets overnight, and patrons from camping out all night on bar stools. Ought to increase the restaurant table turnover as well.

Yes, this is absurd as reinstalling parking meters to begin with.. The merchants lost 107 parking places when Broadway was remodeled..the City siad that those places would be regained by the Front Avenue garage, but the City nor CSU do not monitor the use of those spaces being infringed on by CSU students and faculty.. even though there are 3 floors of spaces accessible only by CSU students/faculty provided.

Jonathan Gruber excessively thin-skinned and stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The Bill Clinton cartoon in the Monday, Oct. 5 edition was classless! If the paper was looking for that “jump out and shock” factor, come back up on the high road, fellas, and try, try again." -- "classless"?  Well, that made it accurate and  "spot on"!

---
L-E editorial: "We’ve all heard and read arguments for and against Mayor Teresa Tomlin-son’s plan for phasing out the Columbus property tax assessment freeze. *  What we haven’t heard is a convincing argument for why Columbus voters shouldn’t be allowed to make that decision.  What we’ve heard recently is that some members of Columbus Council haven’t yet made up their minds. About what?  The freeze has been a contentious and controversial issue for the more than three decades it’s been in effect. Letting the voters reassess it now shouldn’t be." -- "the freeze has been contentious?  Whoa.. voters have already spoken ..twice.. the only contentious people are the politicians who want to raise taxes rather than operate efficiently within the revenue flow.

On the chance it should be back on the ballot, I could go along with it if only property owners are allowed to vote on it.

---
L-E story: "   Coming off a three-day whirlwind tour of Nashville, several Columbus leaders say among the most important lessons they learned were the power of effective planning and establishing a city’s brand. *     In the 1990s, Nashville leaders banded together and decided to do something about the city’s decaying center and lack of growth. Since then, a series of five-year plans has resuscitated the city into one of the nation’s most vibrant, focusing on its brand as “Music City.” The city’s leadership is currently early on in its sixth five-year plan, and the results are palpable, visitors say *  Tomlinson said her sister lived in Nashville in the 1990s and it was a “do-nothing town” with most of the challenges larger cities face." -- Hmm .. obviously Nashville grew after Mayor TomLYINGson's sister left Nashville.. maybe Columbus would grow better if we were TomLYINGson free...

One online news source said HILLsbury DOUGHgirl :choked up discussing "gun control".. and her audience responded favorably.. I guess so.. look at her hand-selected audience.. You know, if politicians really wanted to do something about gun crimes, they work hard at clearing obstacles for the prompt enforcement of death sentences for gun related crimes.

HufPOOPOO story: "Less than 10 percent of the world's population will be living in extreme poverty by the end of 2015, the World Bank forecast on Sunday.  * The Washington-based institution's latest projections expect the number of people who survive on $1.90 a day to drop from 12.8 percent of the human population in 2012 to 9.6 percent this year. That means 702 million people still struggle to survive." -- Hmmm... according some survey,  some 702,000,000 people are living on $694.-- a year...you know... The World Bank probably spent more than $694.00 per person to conduct that survey...
---
Online headline: "Clinton wins endorsement of National Education Association" -- You know.. this reflects the sad state of the NEA leadership... the headline should read, "Students win endorsement of National Education Association".
---
You know... Even CNN hasn't asked HILLsbury DOUGHgirl  the same question Bill is famous for... Boxers or briefs?
----
Malia and Sasha must really have a tough time figuring out their dad..Obamageddon sends them to school with armed guards, wants other parents to turn in their guns, but wants to give Iran nuclear bombs. And my children think I embarrassed them.

Online story: "Auburn took advantage of its humongous new video board by posting a photo of top-recruit Jauan Williams in an Auburn jersey for the recruit to see while visiting the stadium for Auburn’s game against San Jose State. * The only problem? The Tigers spelled his name wrong. * The board displayed his first name spelled “Juaun” instead of “Jauan.”" -- Hmmm let's even simply how stupid Auburn was.. If the name was speeled correctly, Auburn could have lit up the video board with "J-AU-AUn".. instead, the everlasting impression is "J-UA-un". Saban sends his regards...
---
Online story: "The African nation of Angola has become the first country in the world to entirely ban Islam. Angolan Minister of Culture Rosa Cruz e Silva stated that Islam is “contradictory to the customs of Angola culture,” and so it cannot exist in the Christian nation." -- Hmmm... now here is a great example how "Black Lives Matter" can actually help.
---
You know.. scientists can speculate.. even postulate, its theories of the creation of life and evolution, but the undeniable truth is that "life" began without the first scientist being present. God is good.
---
Hmmm.. since Congress turned the House into a pulpit for Poop "Pat".. doesn't that mean the voters can sue to remove Congress from the "state"?
---
L-E headline: "WILL TAX FREEZE REFERENDUM BE PUT ON BALLOT? * Some Columbus councilors say they’re still unsure of putting referendum up for a vote" -- You know.. better that this... How about putting Mayor TomLYINGson on the ballot with a yes/no option.
---
From above story: " In addition to the tax freeze referendum request, the proposed legislative agenda includes requests for: Legislation that would increase 911 fees from $1.50 a month to $2.50 for local landlines and from $1 to $2.50 for wireless telephones." -- Whoa!  Safety is one thing, but GREED is another.. Why should each land-line to one address be "taxed", and how about one fee charge for each cell phone ACCOUNT rather than each cell phone on an account?
---
Comment on above: Who is going to pay the $2.50 a month on "free phones" and "pre-paid burner phones"? You know, even if a cell phone has no day-to-day service, or has been disconnected, the phone can still make 911 emergency calls.. who's paying that monthly fee?
---
Another comment on the above story: I have 5 phone numbers on my cell phone account.. my bride, my daughters, and myself. 2 of my daughters reside out-of-town.. are their cities going to get that fee for their 911 services?
---
Another issue in the same L-E story above: " • Action or legislation that would ensure that all the sales taxes collected in and due to Muscogee County would be remitted, whether that includes audits, privatizing sales tax collections or allowing local governments to collect and audit local sales tax collections." -- Two things.. is accounting for taxes due a current issue, and why does Council want "audit" power here, yet denies forensic audits on how taxes are spent?
---
You know, before any new.. in fact before any more fees are collected on any phone, there should be publication of how many phones there are.. Let's just parse the numbers a bit.. we have 65,000 households. If half of those have a single land lines, that would be 32,500  times $30.00 annually which would generate almost $1,000.000.00 in 911 fees (throw in businesses, and the totals soar). And cellphones.. (do you know anyone over 12 who doesn't have one? With more than 200,000 people in Columbus, and sya 90% have cell phones, that would be another $5,400,000.00  in fees. Combined, we're talking $6,400,000.00 in phones fees for the 911 Service Center.  Two things should be assured,, that this much money is needed, and that all fees be guaranteed to be spent or the 911 Service Center and if such amounts exceed direct 911 Service Center costs, than either the fee rate be reduced, or the excess fee collections go to reduce the property taxes collected.
---
You know.. how smart can HILLsbury DOUGHgirl really be.. she doesn't know how bake cookies, tell the truth, keep her spouse close, or how to pool all her personas into one aura.
---
Because of numerous, well equipped ER rooms in the area that keep stabbing and shooting victims from being murder statistics.. maybe attempts at murder should be grouped into the category of "deaths/near deaths". That's a statistic that should be very embarrassing to Mayor TomLYINGson.
---
You know.. the problem on the field at UGA is kinda obvious.. lack of leadership.. but.. what did Richt think would happen when he pulled in an outsider at QB, and thrust him into the huddle? Players that had bumped and grinded with the team for a year or more in practice while building camaraderie with teammates  were just displaced at the whim of Richt.. and I predict that promising QB talent will not be eager to put themselves into a program that might just do the same to them in a couple of years.
---
Jonathan Gruber dangerously stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " I think it is high time that we start the dialogue to repeal the Second Amendment. It is no longer a viable thing for this country." -- "I think"? Right away we know this lib has "copied & pasted" "I think" from some other liberal talking points/mantra document, but that's minor compared to the message this is sending.. The 2nd Amendment is the only thing that insures the viability of the rest of the Constitution.. including this stupid lib's opinion. Without it, the 1st Amendment would be moot, and our ballots would look like those of Cuba and other third world despot run countries.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “America has believed that in differentiation, not in uniformity, lies the path of progress. It acted on this belief; it has advanced human happiness, and it has prospered.” — Louis
   D. Brandeis, U.S. Supreme Court justice (born 1856, died this date in 1941). -- Can you imagine how mainscream media would treat Justice Brandeis today for calling on diversity as the building block for individual achievement? Today's liberals have warped the "diversity/differentiation" aspect into some sort of collective basket where everyone is merely equal and all receive the same compensation regardless of effort .

Trump is right again.. but there is more needed than more/better mental health attention.. there also has to be more toughness in dealing with people with mental health issues.. All to often, we give too much sympathy for the situations, and spend too much time, energy, and money trying to rationalize a motive and/or understanding for the person who snaps. We give too much "space" for a soon-to-be-self-imploding- person" to have access to a situation in which something a tragic is going to happen. The sentence of "guilty but insane at the moment so we won't/can't hold them permanently responsible" just perpetuates additional tragedies. A developing mental health issue is not much different than a cancer diagnosis caught in stage one.. we cannot let it fester to stage 4 without radical treatment... like cancer, mental health issues will not cure themselves.. nor get better by not treating them aggressively when first detected. Even the act of giving people mood-altering drugs they administer themselves is insane.

Online headline/story: "Vatican sacks gay priest after highly public coming out * The Church does not consider homosexuality a sin but priests, whether heterosexual or gay, are meant to be celibate." -- Just another Poop "Pat" moment among many. He was for it before he was against it..

Online story: "Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday delivered the strongest statement of support for gay rights in the 2016 presidential race when she promised that ending discrimination against gay, lesbian and transgender people would be a central pillar of her administration." -- Maybe she should run for Pope... maybe HILLSbury DOUGHgirl should make every citizen's rights the central pillar of her existence!

Online headline/story: "Chef exposes the pope's incredibly unusual diet * During Pope Francis' recent trip to New York City, restaurateur Angelo Vivolo had to pay attention to his highly restricted diet.* Types of vegetables he won't touch * The Pope passes on pasta. He likes cooked vegetables, but doesn’t eat greens, or any vegetables with seeds, cooked or uncooked, such as tomatoes or eggplant. " -- Remember when mainscream media flayed Bush43 when he mentioned he didn't eat broccoli anymore since he was an adult and could choose what he ate? Well, Poop "Pat" doesn't eat the national food of Italy...and it's "OK" with mainscream media.. go figure

Online "headlie": "Scientists engineer pet pigs that never grow * Genetically modified micropigs are the latest creation that will let you keep your swine friend in the apartment without space concerns. " -- Truth be known.. the "never grow" pigs GROW to 33 pounds.. and "stop" yeah, right.. and I have some great investment land near the Okefenokee, and a bridge in Brooklyn for sale as well.

Online headline: "Police refuse to utter Oregon shooter's name * Though the gunman's name is prevalent in media coverage, officials investigating the Oregon shooting have yet to refer to him by his name." -- Don't worry though.. mainscream media will mention the (_*_) at every moment it can.. Don't look for the dead (_*_)'s name here either.

How embarrassing...Middle Tennessee State was favored over Vandy.

From the "there oughta be a rule" department..there oughta be a rule preventing a SEC team from booking a non-conference, unranked team who is a line favorite..good grief..Midfde Tenn State wass favored over Vandy!

---
How embarrassing.. Vandy beat Middle Tennessee State with an end-of-game rally... and it was an
upset".

You know, with Porkchop HILLsbury DOUGHgirl on stage with Bernie Sanders, we could possibly see the first dual melt-down hissy-fit to see which can outleft the other.

---
I miss the old SEC...remember the one when you drove into a parking area at 9:00 AM, fired up your grill, opened up the coolers, got pumped up, went into the stadium for a Noon/1:00 kickoff, and headed back home after the game. Nowadays, the kickoff probably won't be til 3:30 or at night, and by time kickoff gets here, people are wasted, and after the game, you're in trouble if you didn't book a room.

Inane L-E commentary: "Maternity leave for U.S. parents doesn’t add up * The facts: the U.S. government does not mandate even a day of paid leave for new parents. Sweden pays 80 percent for up to 56 weeks; Canada pays 55 percent for up to 50 weeks; France pays 100 percent for up to 16 weeks; and China pays 100 percent for up to 12 weeks. That’s just a sampling of countries’ paid-leave policies" -- Good grief.. How quickly she forgets the "War on Poverty" welfare programs that paid for rearing illegitimate births! Not only do socialist government programs lead to financial bankruptcy, but moral bankruptcy as well. Give this whiner a free bicycle and a one way ticket to the country of her choice. There's a simpler solution though.. Ms Temesgen and her husband should just take responsibility of raising their child free of government intrusion or strings.. Nothing the government "gives" is without conditions.

You know.. Democrats feel the Constitution is something the government gave us to provide individual rights, so government can also take them away... WRONG! Our founding fathers gave the Constitution to US so that government cannot usurp our rights..

Online story: "The Vatican turned the tables on the Kim Davis affair Friday: Not only did it distance Pope Francis from her claims that he endorsed her stand on same-sex marriage, it said the only "real audience" Francis had in Washington was with a small group that included a gay couple." -- Pope? Nah.. Poop "Pat" fits better and better .. One thing for sure, Poop Pat has separated himself from holiness.. Jesus, son of God, of Mary, healed people as He winded His way through His Earthly appearance. Poop Pat divides..

Online headline: "Obama gives harsh ultimatum on budget deal * The president said on Friday he will not sign another 'short-sighted' funding bill after the current one expires in December." -- Good grief.. Hasn't mainscream media learned what the truth and  a "line drawn in the sand" means to Obamageddon?  Oh, and where are the mainscream media headlines saying "Obamageddon threatens a government shutdown"?
---
That (_*_) who killed people when they stood up as Christians... why hasn't the media broadcast his religion as openly? One thing that really bothers me is how the (_*_) got pass a gun background check when it was of record he attended/graduated from a school focused on learning disabilities in California?
--
Online headline: "Homeowners fined for flying American flags * A condo community in Utah has banned its residents from flying the Stars and Stripes, issuing $75 fines to those who refuse." -- Where's the ACLU when it's needed?
---
Tomorrow, the Sunday L-E will be printed on "pink paper" to show it's support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.. hmmm.. would using regular paper and printing a check to the Cancer Society for the savings be a better way to show such support?
---
Still thinking Florida will upset Ole Miss.. and believe it or not, I think GA will beat Bama.. This year's match up reminds me of 2010 when the previous inheritance rules ran out making no liability for state taxes.. George Steinbrenner died that year and his heirs didn't have to sell off his assets to get theirs. What I mean is that after years of not having Bama scheduled, GA catches them in a moment of weakness at the QB spot.. Go Dawgs!
---
The breach of information at Experian regarding T-Mobile accounts really pisses me off.. I have never given Experian permission to gather/dispurse my info, and as far as T-Mobile goes, I have a 18 year old account and there is no reason for T-Mobile to release any info about me to Experian.
---
You know.. looking at real estate sales in Muscogee County, it looks like new homes are going to follow the business pattern of new cars.. It looks like all new houses will start depreciating like new cars do.. My own experience shows that neighboring houses are not selling for the same per square foot as when we bought ours 12 years ago, and none of the improvements we added have bumped the potential selling price.
---
From the "proof liberals know nothing about business nor the economy" department - Online headline/story: "One simple tweak to cigarette packs might make you want to light up less * Last night at my local convenience store the man in line in front of me was purchasing cigarettes. "Let me get a pack of reds," he said to the guy behind the counter. * Tobacco companies have long studied how to make their individual brands attractive to consumers, which is why stripping all the logos and pretty colors from the packaging and just leaving the health warnings is a commonsense way to lessen the appeal of the product. * Now a series of research papers published in the journal Addiction suggest that replacing the branding on cigarette packs with plain paper and enlarging the health warning labels could be a deterrent to smoking." -- Good grief.. this, (and there's no there less blunt word that sums it up succinctly) STUPID person feels that if tobacco companies packaged their products to be less appealing, people would stop buying them, If tobacco companies want to sell less product, tobacco companies would probably just stop selling rather than waste good money creating a dying business! The real clue, though, about liberal stupidity, is that a slow down in sales, much less a complete stoppage, would stop all the taxes collected on cigarette sales that fund their stupid programs!
---
Online headline: "Jennifer Lawrence slams Donald Trump's 2016 bid * The actress did not hold back when recently asked about the possibility of Donald Trump being president. * 'That will be the end of the world'" -- Good grief.. another lib displaying her own stupidity as the one in the above item.. All Lawrence has done is reinforce why smart people know Hollywooders are the detriment of social change and acceptance in business and the political worlds. The world has survived Obamageddon, and the world will survive the stupidity of Jenni.... what's her name...
---
Don't you cringe when Obamageddon talks about unemployment? And why not.. This year alone, Obamageddon has overseen the reduction of 40,000 soldiers from our military...plus another civilian support staff for the military of 17,000 people. Our Constitution basically commits/authorizes  only four job classes. The Executive branch, The Legislative Branch, the Judicial branch, and our military. If government downsizing is going to work it should come from the other branches rather than the military.
---
Here's a list of the 18 biggest layoff/downsizing announcements  in 2015 (so far):

What's amazing was the HuffPOOPOO just ran a headline this week about Walmart  ending 100's of jobs... HuffPOOPOO .. remove the log from your eye.
---------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, the Columbus L-E reported of St Francis Hospital being "sold" to another entity.. who gets those receipts? A sale indicates money is changing hands.. is this more of an absorption of assets and liabilities.. a bailout .. or are some folks getting money out of it?
---
HuffPOOPOO "headlie": "Syria, the Times and the Mystery of the "Moderate Rebels"" -- "Moderate Rebels"? Good grief.. only in the minds of left-wing extremists can "moderate rebels" exist..
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Mexican Government Criticized For Alleged Widespread Use Of Torture" -- Hmmm.. guess now Obamageddon feels all the illegal aliens need to be treated as refugeees...
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "When You Raise a Person, You Raise a Community" -- True! Very true.. but taking a person and providing everything he needs in order to create a photo-op is not raising a community... it's called "enslavement".
--
Online headline/story: "Uh Oh…Here Are The 10 Drunkest Counties In Georgia:
1 - Dawson, 2- Forsyth. 3 - Fulton, 4 - Muscogee, 5 - Liberty, 6 - Harris, 7 - Haralson, 8 - Richmond, 9 - Carroll, 10 - Columbia.. --- Wait a minute.. this cannot be about a liquor problem.. Athens/Clarke County is not even in the Top 10.. Oh,, this must be about drunken politics!
---
AJC "headlie/story": "Report: Tuition policy on immigrants costs Ga. $10 million a year * Barring some immigrant students from in-state tuition rates costs Georgia about $10 million in lost tax revenue each year, by decreasing access to higher education and better-paying jobs, according to a report out today from the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute." -- Good grief! It cost GA a hell of a lot more in lost taxes just by the amount welfare programs spend on illegal aliens! It cost GA a hell of a lot more than $10,000.000.00 in the lost effect of illegal aliens send money back to their home country and family! It costs GA a hell of a lot more just keeping foreign speaking professors/teachers on the payrolls of our education system.
---
L-E headline: "Columbus delegation returns with impressions from Nashville" -- Hmmm.. wonder if Davidson County was ranked in the Top 4 "drunkest counties in Tennessee"?
---
L-E story: "Copenhagen is a good example of how an inner city doesn’t have to be built around cars. In fact, 45 percent of its residents walk or use bicycles as their primary mode of transportation, he said, and it’s likely because it’s easier than driving there." -- Good grief.. the issue is predicated by circumstance.. Copenhagen.. Copenhagen was charted in 1254 when horses, carts and walking were the only modes of transportation.. Comparing Copenhagen to Columbus is like comparing gondola use in Venice and the Sahara Desert.
---
Hmmm.. Lottery officials' salaries ... up,, college tuition.... up, college professorship...up, HOPE Scholarship payouts.. down (per recipient). Who is this lottey actually supporting?
---

Jonathan Gruber triple-double extra-extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " To the leadership of the NRA and all of my Second Amendment cousins: Spin Umpqua Community College." -- Good grief.. if a blanket blame can be issued for the inane acts of an obviously non-Christian, and obviously demented man, then the blame belongs on the back of liberalism.. privacy and HIPPA laws have neutered background checks on people with mental health problems.. absurd concern for death sentences not being carried out in a swift manner that would be a deterrent to copycat criminals .. those are the problems.. add sympathetic mainscream media concern for the perpetrators being a "victim" compound it even further. The NRA is the best preventer of additional crimes of this nature by fighting for the rights of patriotic, and non-criminals having access to defend themselves and their families as well as our country.

In his UN redress, Netanyahu reinforced the adage that, " the best intentions do not prevent the worst outcomes" . Why do Jewish voters in America still give credence to the same mantra liberals spiel about Iran or the Democratic Party?

---
If Trump wanes, can we draft Netanyahu?

---
Remember the "Pink Glove" video by a hospital nurses'/doctoral staff that went viral in 2009? Well, it has become an annual competition, and this year's winning video comes from Mobile, AL. Needless to say, the winners weren't invited to be on "The View".

---
Kerry says the Russians are going after the rebels, Russia says it's going after ISIS. What's obviously transparent is neither is going after Iran.

---
Saw a car aflame in the parking lot of the Columbus Water Works office. The Columbus Fire Department was johnny-on-the-spot to bring it under control, but it was sorta ironic that there wasn't a water outlet there for the putting out fires in the Water Works parking lot.

---
Online headline/story: "Treasury: Nov. 5 deadline for Congress to act on debt limit * Three weeks ago, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew issued a less precise timeline that was interpreted as mid-November or later, but he told top lawmakers in a letter Thursday that tax receipts have come in below estimates and payments into military retirement trust funds are higher than anticipated." -- You know.. this statement of "blame" highlights Democratic Party agenda and inept economic analysis. Less taxes means the economy is receding...but even that's not the correct issue... the correct issue is that the Administration has not curtailed its program spendings.. and blaming  "military retirement trust funds"... how shameless! The military retirement trust" was/is part of the security package our soldiers earn for service to all our citizens.. Democrats "blaming" their financial management inabilities on our soldiers is despicable!

---
From the "how can a liberal news source try to pettily cast Walmart is a bad light" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Wal-Mart to cut hundreds of jobs" -- Good grief.. Walmart employs over 2.2 MILLION people around the world (1.4 Million in the US).. Yes, all jobs are important to their holders, but a job reduction of a few hundreds in Walmart's case, would be basically like the Employment Department just not filling opening over a lunch hour..

---
From the "it's not one world" department - Online story: "A 4-year-old Indian boy was reportedly beheaded Wednesday in a ritual in a southern coastal region of the country in what was believed to be an offering to a deity * the boy had been studying when he was kidnapped in the Prakasam district * A friend of the boy told his mother that he was taken by a man named Tirumala Rao, the report said. The mother arrived at the man’s house and reportedly found the body of her son in an otherwise empty home. He was decapitated and the report described a “utensil” that was filled with blood. The paper said it appeared to be an offering to a deity." -- Wonder when Obamageddon will want us to be tolerant .. accepting.. of whatever religion subscribes to this?

---
Sacrilege.... that's the only word for it.. some idiot has put caffeine in peanut butter... may his children get a steady dose of it for supper every night!

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Joe Biden will skip CNN's first Democratic presidential debate" -- Good grief.. maybe Biden is smarter than he appears....he can let HILLsbury DOUGHgirl and Bernie cat fight for the title of most socialist candidate then step in unscathed in the second one as the alternative...

---
From the "if yellow journalism isn't enough to derail Trump, then we will be chicken-sh*t journalists" department - Online headline: CNN's Don Lemon to Donald Trump: 'Some people may perceive you as racist' -- Hey, Don Lemon, when did you stop having a menage-a-trois with your parents? Hey,, it's just as valid a question...

---
Online headline: "Secret Service tried to discredit GOP rep. who was investigating agency scandals," -- This administration is vicious! The Watergate scandal of Nixon pales in comparison to Obamageddon people using the IRS and Secret Service to discredit individual citizens of their rights.

---
Online story: "House Speaker John Boehner on Thursday staunchly defended his chamber's Benghazi investigation committee after senior Democrats called for it to be disbanded, claiming Boehner's top deputy -- and the favorite to step into the speaker's shoes -- implied in an interview the panel was created to politically damage Hillary Clinton." -- Democrats are SICK! No committee created "Benghazi".. HILLsbury DOUGHgirl created "Benghazi".

---
Online headline/story: "House report: Planned Parenthood spent millions on ‘blowout’ parties, travel, salaries * According to the report, which cited tax returns, Planned Parenthood spent over $5.1 million on travel in 2013, or nearly $14,000 a day. On top of that, several affiliates reported spending hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on travel. The report also said Planned Parenthood "books first class or charter travel," though President Cecile Richards said at Tuesday's hearing that she, personally, does not travel first class.

The report also said Planned Parenthood gave nearly $22 million in grants over five years to its Planned Parenthood Action Fund, which is legally able to do lobbying activity. Campaign finance records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics show donations from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund Inc. PAC, in turn, go almost exclusively to Democratic candidates. " -- Once again.. no 501 (c) 3 should be able to divert donations from itself to a 501 (c) 4 division (or connected entity). It is a tax dodge and misuse of the the intent of a donation.

Without any additional comments, the following charts define the legacy of Obamageddon... and the path of the future if WE don't stop it in its tracks in 2016:

---
From the "Tale of two headlines, one event" department -  "Senate Democrats block VA funding bill"... "Republians don't get VA bill funded" -- all that's needed are either 6 concerned Democrats... or 1 concerned Commander-in-Chief..

---
L-E story: " A nearly 24,000-square-foot “lifestyle center’ is planned on the eastern end of Whittlesey Boulevard at Columbus Park Crossing, with West Georgia Eye Care Center opening a satellite office as its anchor. * Construction on the center at 6596 Whittlesey Blvd., adjacent to Homewood Suites by Hilton, has just begun and should take about 10 months to complete. City building permits value the work on two buildings — one 16,600 square feet and the other about 7,000 square feet — at just under $3.8 million. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor." -- Hmmm.. high tech buildings.. 23,600 square feet between them for $3,800,000.00... that's about $161.00 a square foot.. Thank goodness the MCSD is not involved.. the best it could do was to ask  taxpayers to fund metal buildings on concrete slabs for wrestling/weight rooms at $312.00 a square foot.. Perspective, if the new West Georgia buildings were built at MCSD estimates, they would cost $7,363,000.00!

---
L-E headline: "St. Francis Hospital reaches deal to sale to LifePoint Health" -- Good grief! Didn't the L-E run a challenge on sentence correctness this passed week? There's a huge diference between "to sale" and "to sell".. Obviously the L-E spell checker doesn't see it, as more obviously it didn't phase the editor.

---
Yesterday, I commented on a story about a club here in Columbus that experienced 3 parking lot shooting in the month of September.. alone.. I wondered why it was still open.. an astute commenter added..
"They were giving away Free Shots". -- That's funny.. sick but oh, so funny.

---
L-E story: "TUCSON, Ariz. — Two men were convicted of murder Thursday in the killing of a Border Patrol agent whose death brought to light the bungled federal gun-tracking operation known as Fast and Furious.
" -- Hmm.. now, when are "aiding and abetting" charges going to be brought against Pric Holder?

---
L-E liberal guest commentary: "Jeb Bush’s understated decency" -- Good grief.. Hey, Jeb.. liberal's have just anointed you as the 2016 John McCain.. call your funeral director!

---
L-E headline: "Auburn signs $78 million deal with Under Armour" -- Hmmm contract buy-out by Under Amour?

---
Online headline: "Witnesses: Oregon shooter targeted Christians" -- What's Obamageddon's,, hell, Democrats in general.  "defense"?

Thursday, October 1, 2015

Cancer free for 10 years.. just passed the 10th Anniversary of my lung surgery... join me in praising God.

---
Online headline: "Lawmakers avert shutdown, but the fight isn't over yet * Just hours before the deadline, a divided Congress approved a stopgap spending measure on Wednesday to keep the federal government open." -- Good grief.. even with no pressure left, Boehner still won't do the "right" thing... glad he going! So much for establishment Republican candidates wooing voters back into their camps.

---
30 days ago, Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz of Fox Lake, IL PD was shot and killed by 3 men Why is it still not of interest to mainscream media?

---
From the "what, mainscream media biased?" department - Headlline: "Trump claims estimate of net worth is off-base * The 2016 Republican presidential candidate knocked Forbes' valuation of his fortune, saying its $4.5 billion estimate was far from the truth." -- Hmmm... so mainscream media doesn't believe Forbes could be in error....

---
Caitland Jenner won't be charged in the vehicular death... "another OJ defense.. if she-it doesn't "fit" you must acquit?

---
Can you believe mainscream media is talking about Porkchop HILLsbury DOUGHgirl's server being the target of 5 "phishing"  attacks? Good grief.. every connected computer gets "phish" attempts... I do not worry about "phish" attempts..hackers do not go "phishing" hoping you will "click" on or download something.. hackers are not "phishermen", hackers just "break in" and get what they want, and leave hoping your security program will not know they were there.

---
L-E story: "The 12th annual Career Expo was a well-attended event,  *  The four-hour expo, which kicked off at 10 a.m., generated traffic congestion outside and inside the Trade Center, with more than 1,000 people packing the hall in its first hour, shoulder to shoulder at times as they navigated the aisles. By the time it was over, 2,600 " -- Hmmm... looks like the local economic condition just got moved to the front burner...these are people with skills and motivation... and a true indicator of that the local economy is suffering.

---
You know, I'm beginning to believe Bill Clinton only supports HILLsbury DOUGHgirl so that she will be too busy to keep tabs on him.

---
Just looked at this weeks "lines".. something "jumped" off the page... Sucker bet...Ole Miss -7...Florida in an upset.

---
From the "good does triumph over evil" department - Online story: "We did it! We the people. Barack Obama pushed for it. Then-Mayor of NYC Michael Bloomberg supported it. The media actively campaigned for it — the elites in their increasingly fragile ivory towers stumped for the mosque.* But the people stood up and fought it and won. * The ‘Ground Zero mosque’ has been officially scrapped, after radical Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf had his own developer pull the rug out from under him. * Rauf’s proposal four years ago to create a 15-story Islamic cultural center near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks sparked a national uproar. Developer Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties, who was originally on board with the plan, rendered the whole debate moot by opting to build a 667-foot condominium tower for the property instead" -- Life is good...

---
Can you believe Kerry..says "we're" questioning Russia...good grief, he should have been questioning Iran!

---
Online story: "Dozens of MRAPs provided by the U.S. government to its Kurdish allies in Iraq have arrived without protective side armor *  one security contractor who works with the Kurds saying the missing armor makes riding in them tantamount to "committing suicide." -- Hmmm... with allies like Obamageddon, who needs enemies...

---
Online story: "Louisiana officials have issued an arrest warrant for a convicted killer they say was accidentally released from prison last week. * Benjueil Johnson, 32, was serving a 40-year sentence at the Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, La., after pleading guilty to manslaughter and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. *  Johnson was released on good behavior from Dixon for prior charges September 23. He was then transferred to the East Feliciana Parish jail to be booked on a misdemeanor count of battery of a correctional officer. After he was processed, Johnson posted a $10,000 bond and was free to go because the manslaughter conviction did not appear in his state Department of Correction file." -- "accidentally released"? No,, ineptly processed!

---
Now it appears that Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood did have those mammogram figures "at her fingertips". The number was " ZERO" (who can't remember "Zero"?)..NO Planned Parenthood clinics have mammogram machines!

---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff"; "   The garbage pickup change is a done deal. Stop whining, and buy a second can. Most people would not agree to an increase in their garbage fee." -- First, the garbage fee itself needs to be challenged.. state requirements require a community to provide garbage, police, and fire services in order to be a "city". Secondly.. if just as much garbage has to be picked up in 2 days as 4 days, that means the same amount of trips necessary to get it to the dump.. where is the savings?

---
L-E headline: "Russian strikes likely hit U.S.-backed rebels, not lslamic State" -- Good grief.. they are basically one and the same.

---
From the "look what I stumbled across by accident"department: While looking to see who the current officials of the Muscogee County Democratic Party are currently, I found a "Democrat Accomplishments" list. Most of what the Democrats consider and accomplishment are, in reality, albatrosses to progress., but one such claim really made me laugh.. and laugh out loud.. They claim the landing on the moon in 1969 as a "Democratic Accomplishment".. first it was a national fervor, national pride, that spurred the landing on the moon.. first.. by America.. Secondly, it happened in 1969.. remember who was president in 1969... that's right that "Democrat" Richard Nixon!

---
L-E story: "A Columbus man was shot multiple times outside of the Luxxx Gentleman’s Club early Wednesday, police said. * The victim was transported to Midtown Medical Center, where he was treated for non life-threatening gunshot wounds and listed in good condition *  The overnight shooting is the third reported shooting this month to happen in the parking lot outside the club." -- "third reported shooting... this month"? Why is this place still open?

---
The L-E just published its subscription info as required.. currently, it looks like circulation is down to 21,000 +/- copies,, that's less than 10% of the SMSA population.. you'd think the L-E would try to boost its sales.. printing the truth about local issue and government entities would probably get those results. To celebrate, the L-E edition today has a whole 20 pages..
