L-E headline/story: " Americans view Trump negatively across board *  For Americans of nearly every race, gender, political persuasion and location, disdain for Donald Trump runs deep, saddling the Republican front-runner with unprecedented unpopularity as he tries to overcome recent campaign setbacks. * Seven in 10 people, including close to half of Republican voters, have an unfavorable view of Trump, " -- "close to half of Republican voters, have an unfavorable view of Trump"? Good grief..that means that Trump has MORE than half of the Republicans that don't feel that way.. and  that can be said about any candidate in any party's primary.. That's what primaries are about!

---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story: " Americans view Trump negatively across board *  For Americans of nearly every race, gender, political persuasion and location, disdain for Donald Trump runs deep, saddling the Republican front-runner with unprecedented unpopularity as he tries to overcome recent campaign setbacks. * Seven in 10 people, including close to half of Republican voters, have an unfavorable view of Trump, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll. It’s an opinion shared by majorities of men and women; young and old; conservatives, moderates and liberals; and whites, Hispanics and blacks " --

"majorities of men, women, young adults, older adults, conservatives, moderates, liberals, whites, blacks, and Hispanics"?  Good grief... 10 different polling groups each have a "majority". looks like this must have been a poll devised by the problem designers of Common CRAP Math.

You know, if Trump were as detestable as the mainscream media-DNC coalition tries to make him out to be, he would not still be in the running, much less LEADING,  for the Republican nomination.

---
Online headline: "The U.S. Postal Service Just Lowered the Price of a Stamp For the First Time in 100 Years" -- Good grief.. I want a refund on the ones I bought to hedge against price increases! Shoulda known it was a lie.. it happened under ZERO-bamageddon's watch....

---
From the "enigma" department - Online headline: "Bill Clinton says Black Lives Matter activists are defending murderers" -- Wow... how do you believe a liar when he begins to actually injecting a "truth" in his campaign rhetoric?

---
Online headline: "Fidel Castro makes rare public appearance after Obama visit" -- "rare public appearance"? Guess Castro is driving in the point that he actually SNUBBED ZERO-bamageddon when he was in Cuba.

---
Online story: "With Puerto Rico edging toward financial ruin, House Speaker Paul Ryan forcefully entered the debate over the island’s fate last week with a plan that his allies say would allow the island to cope with its enormous debt. * The plan by Mr. Ryan and Representative Rob Bishop, the chairman of the Natural Resources Committee, would provide Puerto Rico, a territory barred from Chapter 9 protection under the U.S. bankruptcy code, with some of the important tools that are available in normal bankruptcy proceedings. * It would, for example, allow the island to restructure the very same kind of debt that American cities and states are permitted to restructure, including municipal bonds and public corporation bonds. It also permits the restructuring of a form of debt that is peculiar to the island, so-called COFINA bonds that are backed by a local sales tax and issued by the Puerto Rico Sales Tax Financing Corporation." -- Good grief.. now the establishment Republicans are trying to set up a precedence that would allow even US states to be "bailed out"! The problem is basically ALLOWING cities/states to put their taxpayers in more debt to the point that the solution (more taxes) devalues the taxpayers salaries as well as savings. The best solution would be to jail all the politicians who have spent the public into such debt!

---
Online headline/story: "Ted Cruz can win by losing in the New York primary * His key goal, because of New York's unusual delegate-allocation rules, is to keep Trump under 50% of the vote." -- Oh.. so to Cruz.. less than 50% is "losing".. Hmmm.. looks like Cruz has called himself "a loser" since he couldn't get but 43% in his HOME State of Texas!

---
I really do have sympathy for the girl who was killed by her airbag.. and especially for her family, but she/they ignored a multitude of "Recall" notices to replace a know safety hazard...hopefully, others who haven't done so will schedule appointments to fix this known time bomb...

---
Online headline/story: "Former US sailor cleared of murder, rape after 33 years in prison * Virginia's top court on Thursday ordered the release of a former U.S. sailor who has spent 33 years in prison, because new DNA evidence showed he did not murder a Newport News man and rape the man's wife in 1982." -- I cannot believe that old cases that have viable DNA evidence that was properly secured at the time, has not been automatically tested. WE owe that to the criminals' and victims' families ... and for "the truth".

---
Online headline: " Pope Francis Relaxes Church Rules On Divorce" -- Hmmm.. so Poop Francis feels he's passed God in authority...you know.. it's not about whether the... uh... a Pope approves/disapproves an action of 'man".. it's all about the personal relationship we develop  with HIM in all forms.

---
Online headline/story: "CNN: ‘White People’ Cannot Comprehend Islamic Culture * That comment was made on “CNN Tonight” with Don Lemon on Wednesday, Rula Jebreal argued for funding Islamic integration into society when she went after Buck Sexton, a former CIA analyst. *  “I don’t know, Buck, if you speak Arabic,” Jebreal said to Sexton. “And clearly, you talk about terrorists, but you need to understand the culture. You need to understand the language. You need to understand what is appealing — what is the message that ISIS actually is selling in these prison cells. And what they are selling online.” * Sexton responded, “Respectfully, I served in Iraq and Afghanistan targeting people who were doing beheadings that were building suicide vests. I mean, so I was doing that at a very specific level.” Jebreal responded, “With all due respect, white people like yourself who doesn’t understand the language, doesn’t understand the culture and doesn’t even know the religion.” -- Good grief.. I can only imagine what Jebreal would say about ZERO-bamageddon's and "Black Lives Matter"'s understanding of white culture, and US history!  But to her point, I don't have to "understand" the Islamic culture to know I do not like or trust anyone who does..

---
You know... has anyone noted whether any of those e-mails Hillary sent/received on her personal server had an Oval Office e-mail address? I cannot imagine there being none. It would explain why ZERO0-bamageddon wants to "move on".

---
Ernie Els did something yesterday that I've never done before. Sure he's done other things like win Majors and other professional tournaments, but those are/were not in my capability realm, but Els 7-putted the first hole.. I've never done that though it's certainly within my ability to do so. I love this game...

---
Jordan Spieth went bogeyless and is leading at -6. That's 5 straight rounds he's lead the field! This has never been done before.. and he's only 22 years old!

---
You know..It's sorta weird that college students feel they should have "safe places" to protest on campuses, yet have they no concern about whether our deployed soldiers have a safe place to sleep at night.

---
Have to laugh at Cathy William's website address...www.cathy4thekids.com , What kids is she talking about...the Harris County kids she looked the other way about when she previously sat on the MCSB that took places at Columbus High that should have filled by Muscogee County students?

---
Democratic Party voters aren't voting for Bernie because Hillary seems 'out of touch' with the people; the American people, including Democrats,  are just tired of Hillary and Slick Willie "putting the touch" on us.

---
Things are picking up in the Democratic Party  pre-primary confrontations. Bernie says Hillary isn't qualified to be president, and Hillary has responded that Bernie is not qualified to be a Democrat. Huh? Hillary has already fumbled the question about what the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist is, and now wants to disqualify her clone as unqualified. Seems to me that she's saying that she is as unqualified as he is.

---
Two men escaped from the Washington State Mental Hospital. They sent there because they were deemed to be mentally incompetent to stand trial. Good grief...how can 2 mentally incompetent men stage an escape? This "defense" tactic needs to be eliminated.

---
From the "100% delusional" department - Kasich e-mail plea: "Hal, nearly every poll shows that both Trump and Cruz will get crushed by Hillary Clinton in the fall. * If we want to win the White House, there is only one Republican candidate who can defeat Hillary: Gov. John Kasich" -- Good grief.. Kasich might win if he were running in the Democratic Primaries, but as a Republican, even his own state's Republican voters didn't give him a majority of votes in that primary.

---
Mike Owen's column in the L-E today explores the salaries of City employees. Of course, what would be more revealing would be adding the total compensation expenses including salaries and benefits, but what this reveals is that bout 2,500 people work for the City's about 200,000 populace, and the MCSD employees 6,000 +/- people to care for 32,000 students for about 80% of a year (counting holidays and weekends which most do not work).  Who says a forensic audit of the MCSD wouldn't benefit both students and taxpayers?

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The GOP establishment doesn't seem to understand the party's voter base. Trump is the meanest, nastiest, racist, most sexist, richest, most backward liar available. He is simply representing his party's values." -- Hmmm... you know.. if any was true, then why are the Democrats and mainscream media so intent in helping the RNC/GOP leadership derail Trump? Seems to me that if I was watching my opponent self-destruct, I'd just sit back and let them.

---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "   In 1864, the United States Senate passed, 38-6, the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution abolishing slavery. (The House of Representatives passed it in Jan. 1865; the amendment was ratified and adopted in December 1865.)" -- Hmmm.. a little Wikipedia history:
"The Senate passed the amendment on April 8, 1864, by a vote of 38 to 6; two Democrats, Reverdy Johnson of Maryland and James Nesmith of Oregon voted "aye." However, just over two months later on June 15, the House failed to do so, with 93 in favor and 65 against, thirteen votes short of the two-thirds vote needed for passage; the vote split largely along party lines, with Republicans supporting and Democrats opposing."  No wonder Martin Luther King, Jr was a Republican! Oh, if there are ereparation that the Democrats want to pay to keep the black bloc vote, then only  those who vote "Democrat" should pay it.

---
L-E headline: "Black male group rolls out plan to curb violence in community" -- Yes.. and let their motto be "LIFE.. black, white or otherwise, Matters"! On the other hand.. pushing segregationist "black newspapers" is not a way to create unity in the future.

---

L-E headline/story: "Man hurt in shooting testifies defendant was not gunman * Travis Porter says he lied about Reginald Jackson * Detective: Porter picked Jackson from photo lineup * Porter hit 3 times in shooting that killed Dior Cheney" -- You know... actions like this we negate any gain from the program being started in the above story. Travis Porter should arrested. jailed and fully prosecuted for lying..and any bailment include cash up front for the expenses the taxpayers provided to save this liar's life!

Thursday, April 7, 2016

There's seems to have been a few nerves pinched between Bernie and Hillary.. the Clinton camp scourged Bernie for saying he didn't "feel" that the gun manufacturer which made the gun used at Sandy Hook School should be sued, and Bernie retorted that Hillary should apologize to Iraq War victims. Personally,, Bernie is right on his point about not suing the gun maker, but they both need to apologize to out military.

---
From the "how many tines are in Hillary's "forked tongue"" department - Online headline/story: "Sanders: Clinton is not 'qualified' to be the president  *  Just as Hillary Clinton attacked Bernie Sanders for not doing "his homework" when it comes to taking on the financial industry and its big banks, a group of former government officials — once in charge of regulating Wall Street and now working in the financial industry — are holding a fundraiser in her honor in Washington, DC. * The Intercept reports the April 6 fundraiser described as a "conversation" with "Hillary for America" financial officer Gary Gensler and Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Carl Levin, D-Mich, is basically a who's who of Washington elites either advocating for corporate clients or advising them on how to best get around the regulations they themselves once helped write."  -- "how to best get around the regulations they themselves once helped write"?  Boty do we need TRUMP, and his promise to arrest/prosecute her when he's elected!

---
What an opening salvo for Masters' week. 9 holes in one, including one by Gary Player, and two consecutive ones on one group..Justin Thomas was topped by Ricky Fowler, and their third was Spieth who "only" birdied. To top it off, Jimmy Walker made one en route to a 19 (that's -8) on 9 holes.

---
Online headline/story: "Mexico makes big moves in response to Trump rhetoric * The Mexican government announced Wednesday it would be making major changes in response to the increasingly anti-Mexican atmosphere in the U.S.  * Mexico's government on Tuesday unexpectedly changed two of its top officials responsible for U.S. relations, citing concerns about an increasingly anti-Mexican climate across the border." -- Hmmm.. looks like Mexico has its own polls and is trying to get more concessions from ZERO-bamageddon before Trump takes over.

---
Online headline/story: "Ex-St. Paul's student convicted of sex assault, seeks new trial  * O*** L*****'s lawyers filed a motion for a new trial on the grounds he had an inadequate defense — because his trial team didn't pay enough attention to the computer-related seduction charge." -- For years now, I have warned about upper courts throwing cases back, especially ones using Public Defenders, on the catch all basis of "inadequate defense", but this involves a highly paid personally chosen legal team.. and from what I can tell, they are claiming themselves to have prepared an :inadequate defense"..Not going to mention any lawyer names, but if this is true, then the judge should make them state to a new jury that they "are suing themselves, and taking up court and jury time because they are bad lawyers".

---
Well, well, well.. our neighboring Russell County in Alabama has topped its state in number of car thefts.. over 570 per 100K vehicle thefts in 2014.. While Muscogee County wasn't the worst in GA (Fulton County with 670 per 100K got that "honor"), Muscogee County did have more per 100K vehicle thefts.. 591,   20 more per 100K than Russell County.  For perspective, there are "only" 198 vehicle thefts per 100K in the entire USA.  No. Mayor TomLYINGson... the tax freeze is not what has stagnated growth.. crime is "the  Criminal".... do something about THAT!

---
Online headline: "Christian saint's bones unearthed in monastery destroyed by ISIS" -- Yeah.. and Christians are expected to turn the other cheek... why, so Islamist terrorists get another free shot at killing?

---
Online headline/story: "Government seeks to limit questions in Clinton email case  *  Lawyers for the State Department have asked a federal judge to limit the scope of testimony about Hillary Clinton's use of a private email account as secretary of state." -- Wait a darn minute! This sounds like a conflict of interest... the American people's interest!

---
Trump says he will have Hillary arrested and prosecuted when he's elected. This is why we vote for Trump...it's a vote for the people! Besides, have you heard Cruz make the same promise?

---
HuffPOOPOO story: "Attackers in Bangladesh wielding machetes killed a liberal blogger, police said on Thursday, the latest in series of murders of secular activists by suspected Islamist militants." -- "suspected Islamist militants"? Good grief.. ZERO-bamageddonphobia KOOL-AID has destroyed mainscream media!

--
HuffPOOPOO headline: "The First Casualty of War Is the Truth" -- Yeah,, and HuffPOOPOO burieds the truth as soon as it exposes liberalism.

---
Online story: "On Tuesday, the chair of Georgia's independent commission that is in charge of removing bad judges from office quit in a tug of war with powerful legislators who want to be in charge.  And he wrote a blistering resignation letter. * Lester Tate was chair of the Judicial Qualifications Commission.  * Tate, a Cartersville attorney, quit because he says legislative leaders are trying to take over the commission, in order to protect their friends on the bench. * Of course, legislative leaders insist they're not trying to protect bad judges. * But they are trying to take over the JQC.  And that's why Tate quit, in protest." -- If all is true, then the "legislative leaders" need to be named...Of course, I do question that Tate's "quittinG' is the best route to keep the two entities separated so that justice prevails.

I have requested info from the MCSD concerning the collection of out-of-county fees by two particular students that got favorable treatment for a temporary address in Muscogee County. The family has lived at the same address in Harris County since 20-3/04 and currently do as well.  * This morning, I got an electronic latter from the MCSD legal team requesting a payment of $177.00 to get the info. *  I responded that she can bill me or let know and I'll bring a check or cash down today! I will not be bullied! The sad thing is that one of the current candidates for the May election knows the information but will not reveal it.

---
ZERO-bamageddon says he's concerned that tax loopholes make college education more expensive for middle-class parents. What absolute BS! No one in government actually wants to cut any costs concerned with education, because the lion's share of money goes towards government/union jobs and they vote for government officials who distribute tax dollars to pay their salaries.

---
I still enjoy 60s era Perry Mason episodes. Forget his winning record..but who's not envious of the cars he and Paul Drake drove...those were cars!

---
You know.. a good law to enact would be to ban merchandise made out of this country by businesses with 49% or more American ownership/investment from being shipped back to America. That ought to put a big dent in the "trade balance" deficit.

---
L-E headline: "FEEDING THE VALLEY * Group to break ground on $3.5M distribution facility * 31,000-square-foot food distribution facility in north Columbus to open in early 2017" -- While I'm pleased that this organization can build a facility for $112.00 a square foot )versus the MCSD building similar constructed wresting rooms for $312.00 a square foot.. I do question why it is being built in a more affluent area of Columbus.

You know, I do believe that the older building at Brown Ave and MLK Blvd recently vacated by Columbus Habitat might serve that purpose perfectly.

---
L-E headline/story: "Top haven for tax cheats: the U.S.  * The U.S. lambastes and strong-arms countries that help drug lords and millionaire investors hide their money from tax collectors. Critics say it should look closer to home. *  America itself is emerging as a top tax haven alongside the likes of Switzerland, the Cayman Islands and Panama, those seeking reform of the international tax system say. And states  are competing with each other to provide foreigners with the secrecy they crave. * “There’s a big neon sign saying the U.S. is open to tax cheats, *  More than 90 countries have signed on to a 2014 information-sharing agreement set up by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development; the U.S. is among the few that haven’t joined. American banks don’t even collect the kind of information foreign countries would need to identify tax dodgers. *  Individual states, including Nevada, Wyoming and South Dakota, are making things worse, critics say." -- "Nevada"?  Hmmm... maybe there should be a little more scrutiny involved in looking at Harry Reid's donor list...

Wednesday, April 6, 2016

With all the gaffs by Trump.. with all the collusion of the RNC/GOP leadership and mainscream media, Cruz still could not get 50% of the Wisconsin Republican voters. Additionally, the Republican turnout was 39% higher than the 2012 primary, and .. get this. even though Trump came in second, Trump got MORE votes than Romney did in 2012!

---
On the Democrat side, not only did Bernie win, Hillary got 24,000 less votes than she did in the 2008 Wisconsin primary..

---
Online headline/story: "SCOTUS denies request from DC Madam's attorney to release info *  The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday denied a request from a lawyer who once represented a woman known as the "DC Madam" to release records from her famous escort service. * Those records include such sensitive information as customer names, Social Security numbers and addresses— information the lawyer, Montgomery Blair Sibley, has said could affect the 2016 presidential election. *  Sibley wanted the Supreme Court to lift a lower court order, in place since 2007, that bars him from releasing any information about her records." -- Good grief.. if the lawyer wanted to release the info, all he has to do is basically "let" his computer to get hacked or his office "get" broken into. There's something fishy about the lawyer even approaching the Supreme Court unless he's trying to get public leverage to blackmail someone.

---
Why is it that Cruz hasn't grasped that the RNC/GOP leadership is not talking about him being the "fresh face" to win the nomination if Trump gets derailed?

---
Think I've come up with a family friendly political name for local GA State Rep RINO Smith....S**t*.

---
Irony strikes mysteriously..The IRS building burst into flames...I could only think about the childhood chant we all remember.."LIAR, LIAR, pants on fire."

---
Hmmm...Wonder how many e-mails and servers went up flames when the IRS building burst into flames.

---
In the upcoming NY debate, I hope Wolfe Blitzer asks Hillary did she refer to Chelsea's daughter as : fetus, unborn person, or her grand baby when she found out she would become a grandmother.

---

From the "slogans we'll never see on the walls of a Democratic Party voter registration office or in any government entitlements office" department - L-E's  "Thought for Today": “Never think that you’re not good enough yourself. A man should never think that. My belief is that in life people will take you at your own reckoning.” — Isaac Asimov (1920-1992)." -- self explanatory....

---
L-E story: "No limit — Stop the violence” is a call to action that’s been circulating on Facebook this week. If you’re wondering what it all means, here’s some background. *  The man behind the slogan is Minister Antonio Carter, founder and president of a Columbus-based organization called the National Joshua Generation. He’s calling on 100 black men to meet 3 p.m. Thursday at the Citizens Service Center on Macon Road for a press conference, where he will roll out a plan to address the moral decline of the black community.” -- Finally, I hope, and initiative that not only addresses THE issue.. but one that can adopt a message of ""Black LIFE Matters".  It's only a step.. but journeys begin with the FIRST step.

---

L-E headline: "Ford to invest $1.6B for new plant in Mexico" -- and you wonder why Trump leads the pack and won in Michigan...

---
L-E headline/story: "San Francisco approves full leave for parents *  The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday  to require six weeks of fully paid leave for new parents   *  The state already allows workers to receive 55 percent of their pay for up to six weeks to bond with a new child. The money comes out of a state insurance program funded by workers." -- "funded by workers"? What BS! It's the EMPLOYERS who have to build in such "payments" into the salary packages  to make employees' "net" attractive enough to keep them on the job. In addition, that "extra" costs will be built into what consumers pay, so the success of such a program won't be determinable until after companies prove they can survive adding on expenses.

---
On the above item.. think about this.. what's better for the baby.. having mom at home, and dad wanting to get home after work to see his new baby, or.. the husband being around too much, and the wid=fe making him leave and go play golf or something so she doesn't have two babies to deal with?

---
Once again.. who is paying for all the ads being run by "together2016/BuildingBetterColumbus.com"? Several problems and their solutions could have be paid for by the amount those ads cost.

Now that was a ball game... not the end result I wished for, but ... WOW!. You know.. If liberals had their way, last nights game would have ended in a tie.. Villa Nova would have been penalized 3 points for excessive celebration.. Of course if Bernie was president of the NCAA, he'd have just given all 68 of the teams that qualified 1/68th of the title and trophy and not played the tournamnet.

---
After listening to Greta question Kasich last night, Kasich should be leading the nomination race....in the Democrat party.

---
A Long Island, NY resident asked Kasich how she was going to be able to sell her house because a change of policy in flood insurance would make the new owners pay $10,000.00 for flood insurance while she is "frozen" at $3,600.00. Sounds like Mayor TomLYINGson has been to the Democrat tax school.

---
You know, if Kasich is right .. and he does come into play at the convention, then the conservative movement must abandon the Republicans and create a party based on the future for our children and grandchildren. Kasich is not much further to the right of Bernie or Hillary.

---
From the :\"sorry to have built your hopes up too high" department: "Clinton, Sanders agree on big move before NY primary" -- Sorry... Cuba us not their destination.

---
Online headline: "Climate change threatens hearts, lungs but also brains: U.S. study" -- Eureka! Now we know what's wrong with liberals...they think too much and overheat their one-track brains!

---
Need a (or another) reason to vote for Trump? How about what Hollywood liberals opinion of the 1st Amendment:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Online headline: "'The View's' Joy Behar calls Donald Trump 'the most dangerous man alive'" -- Hmmm.. another few million votes fro Trump!

---
I cannot believe that the GOP is trying to hype Paul Ryan as the "fresh face" to get the nomination at a brokered... brokered?  how about "broke" convention. Whatta blow it must be to CRuz's ego to realize he's only a party pawn to the RNC/GOP leadership.  Now, about Ryan.. he played second fiddle for Romney already, so he's damaged goods, but also Ryan.. a smart fellow.. is about as warm as a candidate is as Bobby Jindal came off delivering the Repiublican response to one of ZERO-bamageddon's SOTU speeches.

---
From the "gotcha" department - Online headline: "White House nixes petition to arrest 1 2016 candidate"  -- Guess what.. it's not Hillary! Would you believe an online petition was signed by 100,000 libs proposing Donald Trump be arrested for inciting violence at his events? Justiv=ce would be better served by the White House arresting the petition signers for rioting at a private function they weren't invited to.

---
Online headline: "Attorney General Loretta Lynch is the most powerful figure in the Democratic presidential race" -- Hmm.. wanna bet she deals women's rights and workplace equality a blow by not doing the job she's been appointed to?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "This British Poo Museum Is Literally Full Of Crap" -- How totally appropriate that the HuffPOOPOO does a "crap" piece on the British POO Museum..

---
"Heather" of Fox was in Wisconsin diner this morning at 5:36 AM CDST and was talking to probable voters before the polls opened. One said he was going to vote for Bernie. "Heather" asked him if he realized Bernie wamts to take 90% of his earnings in taxes. The guy said that was OK because it would be help his 4 kids. HUH! Obviously he has nothing to do with his 4 kids..probably not even living with them since he's out leisurely dining when he ought to be home helping his kids' mother get their kids ready for school et al. I also bet that he gets most of his income via the government entitlement system so he knows he's not going to pay 90% of his income in taxes.

---
The Alan Colmes Show? Good grief..are their any listeners other than his mother?

---
Alan Colmes......would you believe his Wiki-Pedia bio says that his sis-in-law, Monica Crowley is a "conservative radio commentator"? Good grief...maybe compared to Alan, but she could be a VP choice for either Hillary or Bernie to attract Democrat "Progressives".

---
From the "the truth shall set you free... from future government jobs" department - Online story: "In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Clinton planted her foot firmly in her mouth — and defied left-wing talking points — when she said on abortion, “The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights,” and that her administration would “help a mother who is carrying a child and wants to make sure that child will be healthy, to have appropriate medical support.” * Abortion advocates were quick to lash out at Clinton for referring to developing babies as “unborn persons,” because it goes against years of carefully planned pro-abortion rhetoric." --  Hmmm.. wonder what her catch word is for "partial unborn-person" abortions?

---
L-E story: "The biggest beef board members voiced last month was the proposed Thanksgiving break being that Wednesday through Friday instead of the whole week. Rather than rely on the 19-member calendar committee the administration had appointed, board vice chairwoman Pat Hugley Green of District 1 reminded those in attendance, the board directed superintendent David Lewis to survey all school-based employees, as the administration did last year. * The survey was emailed to more than 3,000 employees, including bus drivers, MCSD assistant superintendent Rebecca Braaten told the Ledger-Enquirer last week. They had to enter their employee identification number to ensure no one could vote more than once, she said." -- "the board directed superintendent David Lewis to survey all school-based employees"...."survey was emailed to more than 3,000 employees"?  - 3000 school-based employees? Then how come our tax dollars are paying for 6,000 plus employees? If we had only 3,000 school-based employees, the MCSD would not have ANY budget problems!

---
L-E headline/story: "Let’s rethink plans for Golden Park  *  Two decades ago we rethought it and ended up with a nice little temporary softball stadium and the world at our doorstep. That was nice, but it was a fleeting affair." -- Not all of us "thought" that.. There was a proposal to tear down Golden Park and erect the Civic Center on that site, and build a new baseball stadiun/outdoor music facility north off Veterans Parkway near the North ByPass,  and go after preliminary Olympic baseball games.. now that would have been a win-win situation.

---
Instant repeat - L-E headline/story" : " "Let’s rethink plans for Golden Park  *  For what it’s worth, here’s my idea: Turn the dang thing into an amphitheater and outdoor performance venue, then bring in six to eight quality shows a year.  * It saves Golden Park in a meaningful and productive way. It basically gives downtown Columbus another performance venue. Last month when Elton John played the Columbus Civic Center, many people ate downtown and walked Broadway to the show. An amphitheater would bring more of that." -- You know.. on that night,, restaurants downtown weren't even aware ahead of time that the concert was relevant. We went to eat at the Cannon Brew Pub at 5:30 and were met with.. "we weren't aware of this, and half the wait staff wasn't even coming in until 6:00, so we can't seat you for 45 minutes".

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Thanks to gun lobbyists, police officers put their lives on the line with every call answered. Anyone could be concealing a gun. So don't blame the police for being trigger happy. Blame the gun lobby." -- Good grief.. police don't have problems when citizens legally carry open or concealed weapons.. the problem is felons and other criminals illegally using weapons.

---
L-E headline: "Atlanta airport served 101 million-plus passengers in 2015" -- and I bet the Atlanta Airport would not serve one less passenger if Deal had signed the Religious Freedom Act.

---
L-E story: "   The medical staff at a Georgia prison failed to treat an inmate who died from a severely infected tattoo he received while behind bars, a federal lawsuit filed Monday said." -- Hey Mayor TomLYINGson.. would you rather fund the Sheriff's Office federally mandated medical obligations or pay more of your froiends' legal bills?.. oooops.. I might not have worded that right for her to make a good decision for us taxpayers.... Sorry.

Misleading L-E headline plus real story: "Governor vetoes sexually explicit books bill * Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe vetoed a bill Monday that would force schools to warn parents if their children will be assigned books with sexually explicit content, saying it’s unnecessary and lacks flexibility in labeling literary works.
 *  The Democratic governor said the bill isn’t needed because the state Board of Education is already examining such a policy. He also said curriculum management should be left to local school boards, which he said are best positioned to make decisions about their students." -- "curriculum management should be left to local school boards, which he said are best positioned to make decisions about their students"?  Like our school board and administration's decision about making "The Bluest Eye" mandatory reading for minors in high school? For the uninformed,, that book painted a sympathetic eye for child abusers/pedophiles. I officially made a request that it be pulled from our schools libraries, but had my request rejected.

A moment of prayer and silence for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr... while media remembers his color and  speeches, mainscream media seems to forget his character and that he was a Republican as well.

---
From the department of Oxymoronic Logic- How come Hillary is so tired of hearing Bernie lie about her, yet has plenty of energy to lie every time there's a microphone in her face?

---
Late Saturday afternoon, we took our granddaughter out to Flat Rock Park for her first visit. We were shocked at the state of disrepair at the children's playground area and two of the bridges that traverse the creek. On the playground, concrete footings securing the slides were exposed, and the landing area at the coming off at the end of the slides was way to much of a drop for children who use it., And the bridges.. one was pretty much collapsed, and the other has had so much earth eroded away that it is a hazard to try to get on/off it on the east side. Why has Council been building "new" facilities and trails when it doesn't even keep its existing ones safe to use?

---
Apple has some 'splaining to do to its loyal users..it seems the FBI and a 3rd party company know more about the Apple OS than Apple does.

---
California just passed a $15.00 minimum wage..Let me ask.. do you feel (not even going to try to get you to "think" about this) that a part or full time entry level job. in a fast food or front line counter job at movie theater was a $30,000.00 per year career starter job?  Oh, and knowing that bored teen using an icon (versus math oriented) cash register is making $15.00 bucks a hour, .. doesn't it just revile you to think about  seeing a "tip jar" staring at you?

---
I'm getting tired of cashiers and grocery stores/Big Box department stores being forced/expected to panhandle for their employers. You know.. "wanna give a dollar" to some usually worthwhile organization. Hey Publix, Walmart. et al... I'm glad you're wanting to be "involved, but.. I donate directly,, why do you feel you should get credit for donating money your customers have given?  I do have one exception, though, during football season..one store occasionally rings a cowbell when donations are made.. I'm a Mississippi State guy.. I have had my own personal cowbell for 51 years now.. On occasion, and probably to the chagrin of other customers, will "feed" the checkout person several dollars in succession to keep her/him ringing that bell and this finish off with a "Hail State".

---
How can Hillary claim her husband and her had balanced budgets? The only budget the Clintons were totally responsible for wad the 1994.on which was over 10% out of balance. Then the voters put Newt Gingrich.in charge of the House, and Newt kept the budget balanced. Now, if Hillary wants take credit for anything she and Bill did, she should take credit for the housing and mortgage businesses going under water, and them destroyed our military preparedness which left us vulnerable to 9-11-01.

---
You know, why is Wisconsin being made an epiphany state for Trump? Wisconsin hasn't voted for a Republican since Reagan,

---
I do hope Cruz wakes up.. He thinks the RNC will favor him if he can get enough delegates to keep Trump from winning the nomination on the first ballot at the convention..hasn't Cruz been listening to the RNC spinmeisters saying a brokered convention will allow for a "fresh face" to be nominated...not one who will leave the convention with "egg on his face"?

---
Speaking of what is a "fresh face" in the Republican Party..all I can visualize is he RNC deeming McCain, Romney, McConnell, Boehner, or .. drum roll please.. Lindsey Graham as ""fresh faces". Puh-leeze! Trump is the only "fresh face" in the Republican Party since Reagan.

---
You know, the only poll that really matters to me is the donations poll... Hillary has the most corporate donations and Trump has the least.. Vote for Trump!

---
From the "in your face, Tim Cook and Apple" department - Online headline: "FBI offers to help agencies with locked phones" -- hat a simple act of patriotic concern could have circumvented.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Syria Says Mass Grave Found In Palmyra After Recapture From ISIS" -- hmmm.. yeah,, can any one.. that includes Hillary, too,  come up with a reason ZERO-bamageddon will not call ISIS "Islamic Terrorists"?

---
Normally I'd hint at it being something "rumored", but in this case.. an inside government source has revealed to one of my sources that Mayor TomLYINGson's "tax thaw" initiative will be at best "revenue neutral".. What that means is that until she can orchestrate a court case or get 5 Councilors to vote with her to change even the ongoing grandfathered freeze that she's "allowing" in her ballot initiative, that all the new home buyers will have even more taxes increases in the future than even she figures, or wants even the real estate community to know. Now to existing homeowners.. what this also means is your home value is going to be decreased when you want to sell it as new "unfrozen" home buyers will want to start our with as low a tax base assessment as possible. and the only way to get that is to offer/pay less. Vote "NO"... resoundingly! Oh, and vote "NO" for the legislators that supported Mayor TomLYINGson on this..  especially when someone opposes "John PEZ-soldout", and Richard Smith (I'm still working on a "new" moniker for Smith, but I write a family oriented blog and what I've dreamed of first isn't rated PG). Oh, and only vote "FOR" for Bruce Huff on Council.

---
Two Republican Senators who early voiced sipport for hearings on ZERO-bamageddon's latest Supreme Court nominee have now recanted.. You know.. the RNC/GOP leadership's best protection is to support Trump because he will attract that more voters who will support Republican Senators so that the Democrats do not regain control in November. Democrats regaining control of the Senate would be even worse than Hillary gaining the White House. Voter backlash at the RNC/GOP leadership's actions toward Trump would cause a lot of the existing 24 Republican Senatorial seats to be in jeopardy.

---
L-E headline: "Analysis: Funding snub part of political game * Rep. Richard Smith alleges that Columbus region lost almost $10 million in state funding because of Republican Sen. Josh McKoon " -- You know.. what's becoming apparent is that the petty politics of the RNC/GOP leadership at the National Level towards Trump has seeped into the local GOP arena.. We need true Republican candidates to run against Smith and John PEZ-soldout as there's no urgency for the Democrats to oppose either one. If you had plans to donate to Smith or PEZ-soldout. give extra to McKoon instead.

---
L-E headline: "Three Columbus residents hurled from SUV in fatal crash on Interstate 85 * Authorities said SUV overturned several times on wet highway All three victims were thrown from the SUV Four others taken to Egleston Hospital for treatment" -- I am praying for the survivors and the families of all involved... but what a horror story..  adults not even making sure the child was securely strapped in.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "A presidential candidate's wife posing nude for a magazine. Oh well, Donald isn't your typical candidate. No rules apply to him. Just ask him." -- Hmmm.. wonder if the ogler looked up completely nude pictures of France's immediate past president's wife,  but what really gets me is the concern about Trump, yet no concern that Hillary has always thought herself being ABOVE the LAWS of our country.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Because Gov. Deal and Republicans insist on arming Georgia criminals, Peachtree Mall is no longer safe. We’ll do our shopping on Amazon." -- Good grief.. what has allowing responsible citizens to be legally prepared if they meet an illegally armed felon on the street or in a Mall? The problem here is liberals who believe they can change criminals by placating them. Placating them doesn't work with thugs or ISIS..

---
A well informed L-E "soundoff": "   There’s no difference between Democrats, leeches, ticks or fleas. They’re all parasites." -- Very perceptive, but the writer did leave one important species off this list.. RINOs.. especially since several of them have recently come out of the closet.. Smith and PEZ-soldout, and several Councilors.  Keep Huff, and throw the rest out.

---
From the L-E's "Today in HIstory" feature: " In 1948, President Harry S. Truman signed the Marshall Plan, designed to help European allies rebuild after World War II and resist communism." -- Good grief.. a Democrat who wasn't a socialist/communist.. Hey Harry.. about today's Democrats.... "give hell, Harry!"

L-E story worth reading.... http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Olive/ODE/LedgerEnquirer/ .. A fine young MAN all can learn from.. and applaud his parents as well.

Online headline/story: "A senior adviser to the GOP front-runner told MSNBC Trump has a scheme to eliminate more than $19 trillion of national debt in eight years as president. *  As president, Donald Trump would sell off $16 trillion worth of U.S. government assets in order to fulfill his pledge to eliminate the national debt in eight years, senior adviser with the campaign Barry Bennett said.  * "The United States government owns more real estate than anybody else, more land than anybody else, more energy than anybody else," Bennett told Chris Jansing Sunday on MSNBC. "We can get rid of government buildings we're not using, we can extract the energy from government lands, we can do all kinds of things to extract value from the assets that we hold. *  Glenn Kessler, who writes the Post's Fact Checker column, deemed the plan "nonsensical" and gave it "Four Pinocchios."  *  "We regret we have only Four Pinocchios to give for this whopper," Kessler said. "Trump is insulting the intelligence of Americans for making such a claim in the first place. * when pressed on whether the United States could sell off $16 trillion worth of assets, Bennett responded affirmatively on Sunday. * "Oh, my goodness," he said. "Do you know how much land we have? You know how much oil is off shore? And in government lands? Easily."  -- "we  regret we have only Four Pinocchios to give for this whopper"?  Good grief, Kessler has been giving Pinocchios since the first Bill Clinton campaign and he's been able to keep a cap on the number of Pinocchios he could give to Slick Willie, Algore, Kerry, ZERO-bamageddon, and Hillary.. but without regret? I think Trump could accomplish this.. and I'd only put 1 restriction on him.. that any land sales be restricted to American citizens/corporations to perpetuity.

---
You know.. the American public really doesn't care if Trump was not successful, but it sure is for him to make an effort at doing something  since career politicians just wring than hands in apathy as they try not to deal with it.

---
Online headline/story: "Hillary Clinton gave us a preview of how she'll take on Donald Trump * Hillary Clinton is vowing to stay out of the mud with Donald Trump. * "I'm not going to be responding to him. I have pretty thick skin," she told Business Insider during a Thursday interview at Purchase College in New York * "I've been in the arena a long time," she continued, "and that means that I am not going to get down with him and go insult for insult." -- "I'm not going to be responding to him"?  What's new about that.. that's been her defense in every scandal. every investigation she been called on, and mainscream media has pretty much protected her.. Unfortunately.. for her.. her standard "I can't remember" response  won't work this year.

---
Probable online "headLIE":Hillary Clinton says she hasn't been contacted by the FBI" -- Hmmm.. other than Huma Abedin, is that anyone who believes this is not another lie?

---
Got an e-mail from Hillary wanting me to "stand with her"..excuse me..but I don't have muck boots tall enough to stand near her, much less by her.

---
L-E headline: "McKoon says he will consider his tone but not ‘sell out’ values *  McKoon says his stand on religious liberty legislation is personal, not political" -- This is the Republican Party attitude I can live with .. and we need.. we don't need the kind Republican input as recently demonstrated by Richard Smoth and JOhn PEZ-soldout.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If Rome, Ga., can have the Rome Braves, why can’t Columbus get and keep minor-league baseball?" -- "why can't Columbus keep minor league baseball"?  Well.. three good reasons.. 1 - Golden Park was altered to softball for one event, instead of using that $7+ MILLION to buils a new baseball/outdoor mi=usic venue in the 90's., 2 - MInor league baseball is a business and people have to pay for it.. even Bernie vcan't give away "free" seats. and 3 - Columbus has such good high school, college..and even Little League baseball programs that baseball fans will not flock to see "A" League level professional baseball when the Braves are just 100 miles away.

---
L-E story: " The Muscogee County School Board is scheduled to meet Monday when they should come to a resolution for the 2016-2017 school calendar * The work session will begin at 5 p.m. in the Muscogee County Public Education Center on Macon Road. * The school district surveyed 3,000 employees about the calendar." -- "surveyed 3,000 employees"? Hmmmm, why not survey the other half as well, but why not ask the parents about whether they like the schedules that seem to benefit administrative employees more so than families.

You know,, the MCSD needs to hire some construction professionals from the Phenix City system.. they are building a S.T.E.M Center for $1.5 MILLION dollars while the MCSD can only get 2 2400 square foot wrestling buildings built for $1.5 MILLION.

Listening to Karl Rove sorta reveals the RNC's "change of heart" about Cruz..Rove more or less admitted on Fox that the only purpose for the RNC in now supporting Cruz is to get a brokered convention and pick a "fresh face" candidate who plays the GOP establishment game.

---
You know, a Trump vs Hillary race could really set women's rights on it's ear.. The choice would be whether women will support a man who tells it like it is, or a pathological lying woman.

---
From the "when will mainscream media learn that Obama's not the sharpest knife in the drawer" department - Online "headLIE": Obama unloads on Trump: He doesn't know much about 'the world, generally'" -- Hmmm.. yet ZERO-bamageddon is $19 TRILLION in debt, and Trump has $10 BILLION in Net Worth.

---
From the "have you looked in the mirror" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Obama: Trump Is Clueless On Foreign Policy" -- what can I add? People in foreign countries OWE money to Trump.. ZERO-bamageddon's world.. NOT so.

---
Online headline/story: "‘Ice Wall’ Is Japan’s Last-Ditch Effort To Contain Fukushima Radiation *  The wall consists of a series of underground refrigeration pipes meant to form a frozen soil barrier around the four reactors that were crippled during the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. * Construction of the $312 million government-funded structure was completed last month, more than a year behind schedule," -- Hmmm ... speaking of being "more than a year behind schedule". anybody seen any work being done on the Whittlesey Road widening project? That too, is more than a year behind schedule, but it isn't finished nor does it look like it's anywhere close to being finished. Pathetic!

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   CCG is losing many good, experienced employees because there's no money to pay what they're worth. There's also no money to train their replacements. Efficiency and productivity are nosediving. Taxpayers get what they pay for." -- This is not a financial issue.. it's and issue of Mayor TomLYINGson not being an able nor efficient financial manager... which.. is her primary function as mayor.

My pink azaleas are in full bloom.. and the Masters is probably envious.

HuffPOOPOO "headLIE": "Anthony Weiner Would Rather Eat A Wooden Table Than Return To Congress" -- Good grief..what a liar.. and personal friend of the Clintons.. Makes sense doesn't it?

Online headline/story: "State Dept suspends review into 'top secret' Clinton emails *  Spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said Friday the department had paused the review to avoid interfering with an ongoing FBI investigation into Clinton's use of a private server while she was America's top diplomat. She said the decision was made after the department sought the FBI's advice on how to proceed with the review and received word that it should follow its standard practice." -- "follow its standard practice"? God grief.. the only "standard practice" of a ZERO-bamageddon appointed director is to make sure nothing gets completed!

---
There's a poll out saying Trump is the least popular candidate ever. Hmmm..how has having ZERO-bamageddon being popular with mainscream media worked out?

---
Online headline: "Viking discovery could rewrite America's history * Archaeologists believe they have uncovered an ancient settlement in Newfoundland, Canada, that might help solve a 1,000-year-old mystery.

---
Online headline: "President Obama says he'll take 3-4 months for sleep after presidency" -- Huh? I thought he's been pretty much asleep at the switch most of his term...either that of he's gonna hope he'll wake up like Rip Van Winkle and find the nightmare he created is back to normal

---
One of the real reasons tax revenues have dwindled in growth is the number of properties that have been bought up by the state. Properties that once paid property taxes suddenly become exempt.. yet the services from the City go on without compensation.. Same with some of the conversions of historic buildings to condos. Perhaps Mayor TomLYINGson should approach the local legislators on reviewing current laws, and get a new one that makes building exempt (or with discounted) property taxes, pay a fee for  fire and police services, and street maintenance.

Go see "Miracles in Heaven"! It's not an overacted, overplayed script.. aspects hit me between the eyes as I personally experienced a lot of the medical snafus involved in pecking order and misdiagnosis.

L-E headline: "TV, film production companies to leave N.C. over LGBT law" -- What BS! Like Disney pulled out of Florida when Florida passed its Religious Freedom Act? All these companies chose their current locations in order to bolster their "bottom lines" .. Taxes and costs in California/NY et al have sent entertainment companies to states with friendlier financial atmospheres, and those companies are not going back on "principle".

This picture is a half truth.. the kind that promotes conflict and conspiracy:

Please note that it doesn't say she objects to Muslim terrorists activity. It doesn't say she's a Christian. It doesn't say she's civil. It doesn't say she turns the other cheek at those who cause her harm. It doesn't say she prays for terrorism to stop. It doesn't say she's adopting American customs. It don't say s*** about her claim to be an American citizen like me.

Online headline/story: "Clinton goes off on a Greenpeace activist for accusing her of taking fossil-fuel money * Clinton was shaking hands with supporters following a campaign rally at SUNY Purchase in New York when she was confronted by Greenpeace USA activist Eva Resnick-Day. * "Thank you for tackling climate change," Resnick-Day can be heard saying in a video from the interaction. "Will you act on your word to reject fossil-fuel money in the future in your campaign?" * The question clearly annoyed Clinton, who fired back at Resnick-Day, pointing her finger close to the activist's face. *  "I have money from people who work for fossil-fuel companies," Clinton said" --  "I have money from people who work for fossil-fuel companies"?  Hey Hillary, in your own vernacular,, "What difference does it make" since people who work for fossil-fuel companies got wealthy from working for fossil-fuel companies?

---
Online headline: "Clinton makes a play for the union vote" -- "makes a play FOR the union vote"?  Good grief.. Democrats OWN the union vote.. Hillary having Bill making a play FOR the union  vote in NY indicates that unions are abandoning the Clintons.

---
In above story, Bill Clinton told the SEIU that ""The problem is that in private companies, 80 to 90% of the profits are going to shareholders and top management, instead of workers, communities, and even customers, who are being hurt," Clinton said." -- "80 to 90% of the PROFITS are going to shareholders and top management"? Good grief.. PROFITS are what left over after paying worker salaries, manufacturing costs and taxes.. most companies have PROFITS of less than 5% which benefit the risk takers who invest in/provide the jobs and benefits!

---
Talk about an oxymoron, there's a Nuclear Security Summit going on in Washington, and its primary focus.is to find ways to keep nuclear materials out of terrorists' hands..HUH? Didn't Kerry and ZERO-geddon just hand over a nuclear path to Iran?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Hillary Clinton Tries To Remind New Yorkers How Much They Liked Her As Senator" -- Good luck with that!

From the "suspicions confirmed that being politically incorrect will get you fired from mainscream media companies" department - On;one headline: "Pittsburgh anchor Wendy Bell has been fired from ABC affiliate WTAE for a recent Facebook post in which she used racially stereotypical language in talking about "young black men." * "They are young black men, likely teens or in their early 20s," Bell wrote. "They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They've grown up there. They know the police. They've been arrested. They've made the circuit and nothing has scared them enough. Now they are lost. Once you kill a neighbor's three children, two nieces and her unborn grandson, there's no coming back. There's nothing nice to say about that." -- I thought Martin Luther King, Jr said "the truth will set you free"... I guess this aspect of King's "dream" has fallen on the wayside just as there'll be a day the people are judged by their character rather than skin color.

---
Hmmm.. wonder what would have happened to any ABC TV anchor who even hinted that there are rappers making tracks about killing Donald Trump yet they are not being arrested?

---
Online headline: "Elizabeth Warren goes on a tear against 'loser' Donald Trump on Colbert's 'Late Show'" -- Hey RNC/GOP leadership.. are you listening? The "indian" isn't attacking Cruz or Kasich...she's joining you in  YOUR attack on the one candidate the Democrats do not want to run against Hillary.. Guess she figures enemy of her enemy is a Kemo Sabe.

---
You know, the RNC/GOP leadership is confirming the image the Democrats have painted for it in the minds of Low Info Voters. Trump is the only candidate that appeals to single issue voters who vote against the normal Republican candidates based on that image.

---
Florida already has the Religious Freedom Act in force.. Why didn't Disney leave when Florida passed it? Greedy, money-driven hypocrites!

HuffPOOPOO  Headline: "The South Isn’t The Reason Schools Are Still Segregated, New York Is * New York City might be a liberal hub, but that doesn’t mean white parents want their children going to school with black kids." --

It's funny in a sad way, that when the flashlight holders have the light turned back on them, that what's in their shadows is as bad or worse that what they exposed in others.

I remember going to Boston in 1992 for the "Head of the Charles" crew racing extravaganza. My sister lived there, and her daughter  (my niece) was a member of the Stanford Women's 8 team participating in the race. While my primary memories are of the beauty of a late Fall New England weekend, and getting to watch my niece participate in an International event, I also remember a sad.. a startling story about how segregation.. in the town most associated with the revolution and our freedoms..was still practiced... and with malice.

Two Boston high school foot ball teams were playing off for the Boston championship. Both teams and their cheerleading squads were being picked up by police escorted buses, and transported to an unnamed neutral football stadium to play the championship game at 11:00 AM. All that would be there were the two teams, the coaching staffs, the cheerleaders, the referees, and the police. No parents, no students. no public fans were to be allowed. 1992.... and in Boston.. an all white schools team and an all minority schools team  were squaring off. I didn't know such situations still.. no could still.. exist. I was just a Southerner observing the real land of Kennedy and liberals.

---
Online headline: "Suspended Chicago officer charged with murder hired as union janitor" -- Hmmm.. a union janitor, huh... probably got a raise.

---
From the "rest of the story" department - Chris Matthews set a trap for Trump, then "forgot" to mention the bait to the TV audience.. The question posed to Trump was an "if" question about whether Trump would be consistent across the board. Matthews asked if Congress made abortions illegal, would Trump punish people for performing one. The "bait" was about punishing law breakers across the board.

You know..If Chris "tingling leg" Matthews interviewed Obama like he Trump, Obama would probably have "tinkled' on Matthews' leg.

From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: " In 1924, Adolf Hitler was sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the Beer Hall Putsch in Munich. (Hitler was released in December 1924; during his time behind bars, he wrote his autobiographical screed, “Mein Kampf.”" -- Hmmm.. sounds like Hitler was the beneficiary of an "early release" program .. Can't you imagine how history might have been effected if he served the full 5 years.. or as long as he could before the prison population caught up with him?

---
What a crock letter penned in the L-E today.. a long time realtor says the "tax thaw" will benefit Columbus long term. What has Mayor TomLYINGson promised him..(or hold over him)? Eliminating the Constitutionally protected "freeze" just insures that all those who have such will have it stripped away as soon as it is contested in Superior Court or if 6 Councilors vote to change the unprotected law. Columbus already has some of the highest millage rates in the COUNTRY (from 59 in District 2, 65 in District 1, and 72 if you're a business in the downtown B.I,D. District), and Mayor TomLYINGson seeks no route to lower them for anybody, and ... a challenge to the "new" law will make people protected now lose their current rates. The house next door to mine has been sold three times in the past 2 years. It's similar in footprint and square footage, yet for the first time in its history is actually valued more than mine I bought 13 years ago.
