What is GM up to? It's been running ads about it's special tailgate that can't be used with a trailer ball hitch, but last night it ran an ad about a truck with a special tech package which included a backup camera system that sees around your trailer....pretty neat..until the ad finished with a special price....but with a "fine print" exclusion that read the price DID NOT INCLUDE the special high tech package or the special camera. Talk about "bait & Switch"! Oh..GM still owes us taxpayers $10 BILLION for the loan from Obama, and I think we should collect it...it sounds like GM might be going under again.

At this point, it's amazing that the death toll in the Bahamas is around 30.. and will probably go higher... one "community was known as The Mudd — or "Da Mudd," as it's often pronounced — and it was built by thousands of Haitian migrants over decades. It was razed in a matter of hours by Dorian, which reduced it to piles of splintered plywood and two-by-fours 4 and 5 feet deep, spread over an area equal to several football fields." -- I read this story.. and somehow 'feel' the AP is directing its energy at America.. but this is a situation none of our laws can change one thing.. Why isn't the British Commonwealth being asked why such conditions exist in 2019?

We heard about shooting o[incidents in Texas and Minnesota .. in fact, those incidents have been blasted over the headlines... while the reality is that if you combine the total number shot and killed in Texas and Minnesota, the total PALES in comparison to the number shot and killed on the streets of Shicago.. and yet, you probably haven't seen this in a MSM-13 news story... it's just normal for Shicago.. and there was no mention of Baltimore or St Louis...

Let's talk about my campaigns to do something about limiting dump trucks on 2nd Avenue from the JR Allen Parkway to 13th Street, and why is the River Road Roundabout even being built now... A great section of 2nd Ave is literally a top dressing over a brick road bed from long ago.. and the asphalt does not bond with the brick underneath, so 2nd Ave is constantly inn poor shape yet the heavy dump trucks are allowed to use it....why doesn't the Council ask the state to bar use of 2nd Ave by dump trucks? Now, the Roundabout.. think about this.. when it was first requested in 2012, the State was going to pay the $1.5 Million for it because.. I guess... the state felt it was needed. Faults were noted in he planning, and a new set of plans were drawn up, and the state still was going to put up $1.5 million and Columbus would have to put in $1.2 Million. In 2018, construction bids were let out, only now the state had pulled out it's $1.5 Million, and Columbus has to foot the whole bill...I think the state learned during the re-planning stages that the Roundabout was not really a "need", so it withdrew the $1.5 Million, and even local contractors wanted nothing to do with the job, so none even bid on it. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone on Council will want their names to be on the marker plaque associated with political road projects, though I can start out a "Name that Folly" contest.. I submit.. "The ex-Mayor Tom-LYING-son Circular Lie-way - Round and round she goes and where She stops, nobody knows"

Look at the design.. it was basically a straight highway with an entrance to the complex.. Now it has dual lanes for highway traffic and a private roundabout process to get to your tee-times without having to stop... basically.. a totally unnecessary "improvement costing $2.8 MILLION.. That's half of what our "unnecessary Roundabout" into Green Island is costing us (don't even suggest that it's only $4.5/6 Million.. originally it was going to be $1.5 Million and the State was paying it, but now we get none of the state money so our "real cost" is about $4.6 + 1.5 +$6.1 Million)
 
You know, come to think of it... DemocRAT Congressman Bishop, D-GA, may be behind this roundabout.. he conducts an annual Golf Fundraiser for himself at Green Island Country Club (so maybe he wanted a loner driveway for his donors). I have always wondered why Bishop did not conduct his fundraiser at a golf course IN HIS OWN DISTRICT so it would get the economic boost..
