Zeph Baker's residency claim at Bolton Assisted Living leaves us with with having to decide what his priorities are... will he deny an elderly person or two of a bed and assistance, or will he oust the current Live-in-assister for a bedroom of his own?

L-E headline/story: "Columbus High drops from No. 1 spot in Georgia * Columbus High School has dropped from the No. 1 spot in Georgia, according to the 2018 U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of Best High Schools. * This year’s rankings put Columbus High at No. 3 in the state, trailing No. 1 Gwinnett County School of Mathematics, Science and Technology and No. 2 DeKalb School of the Arts. * Nationally, GCSMST is No. 31, DeKalb School of the Arts is No. 75, and Columbus High is No. 105. * Columbus High had improved its ranking every year since 2013, when it was No. 5 in the state and No. 202 in the nation, then No. 4 in the state and No. 104 in the nation in 2014, then No. 3 in the state and No. 85 in the nation in 2015, then No. 2 in the state and No. 80 in the nation in 2016." -- Hmmm... So Dr. Lewis's tenure correlates the time line of Columbus High school's evolution in this story.... of course, he would have no effect on the 2014 stats, and little, of any on the 2015 and 2016 stats as the previous Superintendent's programs were the impetus in those years, so the current rankings are really the first under Lewis' direction.. and it's not the direction we need. Of course, it could be that we have 2 existing MCSB members who's attention to the MCSD needs is secondary to their own personal needs. One is working in another School System, and one has a child in a private school Oh, and the chair of the MCSB that brought Lewis to Columbus wants his job back.. Vote for improvements.. Keep Frank Myers in District 8, and Mark Cantrell in District 6,, and elect Toyia Tucker in District 2, Sheryl McCraine in District 4, and Tony McCool in District 9 At-Large.

In the same story we learn: "Early College Academy of Columbus is the only other Muscogee County high school honored by the magazine this year. It isn’t rated high enough to receive a ranking, but Early College received a bronze medal for the fifth straight year. -- Good grief.. we have only one high school that's good enough to get a ranking, and only one other that got a "participation trophy" How long can we allow our students to tread water before we make changes?

---
In a related online story: "For the second year in a row, the No. 1 school in the country is BASIS Scottsdale. Public high schools in the BASIS charter school network in Arizona dominated the top of the national rankings, claiming the first five spots." -- Is anyone in the MCSD or on the MCSB pushing to see what BASIS is doing? Seems to ]me that the only outside look our school administration has looked into was for Camelot.

---
Your vote for your school board reps are important...one thing particularly clear is that we need improvements.. and improvements will not come from reps who feel Dr Lewis is doing a job that doesn't need improvement.

---
Just a reminder for a bunch of you who's wives want you out of the house more.."Fore Kids Columbus" needs some volunteer help ..especially Monday and Friday afternoons right now.. No pay, but free TV and free golf at Godwin Creek. Call Richard Callahan for info..706-324-0583.

Random question: Anybody seen/heard from Comey in the last week?

---
Amazing...mainscream media wants an apology for what someone said about Senator McCain that was leaked. You know, maybe there should be...but it should follow the apology by mainscream media for reporting leaked gossip as news.

---
Online headline: "Spikes in chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis take STDs to record highs in California" -- Hmmm... maybe drugs aren't the "evils" slipping across our Southern border with illegal aliens... Maybe California should concentrate on "Sanitary Cities" than "Sanctuary" ones...

---
Online headline/story: "Mexican woman charged with voter fraud, accused of illegally voting in 2016 election * According to the attorney general’s office, Garza is accused of voting illegally in Harris County in November 2016, as well as in elections in 2004 and 2012. * Paxton said a joint investigation with the Texas Department of Public Safety determined that Garza obtained documents to steal the identity of a U.S. citizen and illegally register to vote." -- It happens... because it can without good voter registration laws in effect and being enforced.. This is also why we need to use the Republican Primary Ballot here in Chattahoochee Valley area so we can vote for our own Josh McKoon for Secretary of State.

---
From the "let's punish the workers... yeah that's the ticket" department - Online headline/story: 'Seattle’s new ‘head tax’ blasted by city’s mega-corporations * A new tax approved by the Seattle City Council has triggered a fierce war of words between the liberal city and its behemoth corporations usually known for their progressive outlook.
* Starbucks and Amazon are now blasting the decision to slap a new “head tax” on businesses to pay for homeless services and affordable housing -- saying the government's own lack of efficiency is to blame for the city’s woes. * “The city does not have a revenue problem – it has a spending efficiency problem,” Drew Herdener, Amazon vice president, said in a statement. “We are highly uncertain whether the city council’s anti-business positions or its spending inefficiency will change for the better. * The Seattle City Council on Monday passed a plan to tax businesses making at least $20 million in gross revenues about $275 per full-time worker each year. That “head tax” is estimated to raise about $48 million -- which authorities are marking for housing and homeless services." -- Hmmm... looks like liberals have found a way to get the money back from the workers benefiting from the Trump Tax Cuts. Since corporation cannot physically "be taxed", Seattle's Council is going to take away workers' salaries/bonuses BEFORE their companies can put it in their pockets.. and of course, the low income workers are the ones that may end up homeless themselves after being taxed to take care of other homeless people.

Another day has passed that Zeph Baker has not turned in his donations/expenses records as required.. Of course, how can we expect them to be accurate as the Financial Disclosure Form he has filed is filled with "omissions and overstatements".. He owns other properties he failed to list, and he claims business assets that no were longer in existence when he filed.

---
Online headline/story: "Lawsuit alleges 'con shell game' to build Obama Center in Chicago park * Protect Our Parks filed the lawsuit Monday seeking to block construction of the Obama Presidential Center in historic Jackson Park on Chicago’s South Side, where a young Obama cut his political teeth. * Established law precludes the Chicago Park District from transferring public parkland in Jackson Park to a private non-governmental entity for its own use, the lawsuit claims. * According to the lawsuit, the original purpose of transferring the land was to house an official Obama Federal Library. However, that is no longer the case. Obama decided the center will not include his presidential papers." -- Good grief.. of course Obama will not put his "papers" in a location where researchers can expose them for what went on before and during his White House Years..

---
From the "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" department - Online headline/story: "North Korea threatens to cancel US meeting over American military drills with South Korea, report says * " -- Good grief.. Mainscream media has made so much of the US-N. Korea meeting in Singapore, that Kim Jong Oooops feels threatened his own people will feel encouraged their lives will improve that Oooops HAS to "rattle his saber" one more time...

---
Online story: "The city of Atlanta would contribute $100,000 toward a $1.5 million trail that would run along the Chattahoochee River for 100 miles under an ordinance introduced by Councilman Dustin Hillis." -- "$100,000.00 toward a $1.5 MILLION trail.. (of) 100 miles"? -- Hmm.. let's see,, that means Atlanta, who obviously will be the greatest benefactor, is putting in $1,000.00 a mile for a trail that will cost $15,000.00 per mile... who's paying for the other $1,400,000.00?

---
From the "we need some 'splainin' " department - Online headline/story: "North Carolina teachers rally for more funds in latest US school walkout * Thousands of North Carolina teachers were expected to rally at the capitol on Wednesday for higher pay and increased education spending in a walk-out that follows similar protests from teachers in other states seeking more money for schools." -- Two questions: 1 - How do students benefit for teachers pay/benefits taking more of the allotted revenues for Education, and 2 - What's stopping any teacher from trying to take a job in other lines of work? Don't get me wrong.. teaching is a noble calling.. but as a calling, shouldn't one called be expecting hardships in his/her path?

---
From the "be careful .. you may get your wish" department - Online headline: "Angry nurses want Mark Zuckerberg's name removed from a San Francisco hospital (FB) * They're concerned about Facebook's privacy practices and worried that patients will associate the hospital with the social-networking company's recent scandals. * One suggestion? Re-naming the hospital after José Sarria, a legendary San Francisco LGBTQ civil rights activist and drag queen." -- Ooooowww... I'm sure the San Francisco Hospital would do so if the nurses raised the money to replace funds 6uckerberg donated, but.. if nurses are fearful patients might fear their privacy coming to a hospital named for 6uckerberg , wouldn't some patients have more fear that their appendectomy operation could end up as a gender re-assignment procedure?

---
Since "Stormy Daniels" is not her legal name, shouldn't all mention of any lawsuits she files be done in her real name? Can't you imagine how embarrassed her 7 year old daughter is .. especially on Mother's Day?

---
Is it only me, but have you noticed that when Spectrum is out promoting it's faster Internet speed upgrades, my standard WiFi seems to slow down...

---
L-E headline/story: "2014 DRIVE-BY SHOOTING *Judge sentences Walker to 20 years *
A jury on May 2 acquitted Walker, 26, of murder charges in Marvine Bailey’s death, but convicted him on the assault charge." -- Just the results of another Columbus "jury fail" the felon wasn't trying to kill the dead person, so he's not guilty of murder... sad.. sad.. sad

Is the NBA season over.. or will it overlap into next season?

I'm curious .. DIMocrats are so into "Climate Change... why aren't they into the positive "Change of Climate" Trump's election has brought to American taxpayers and leaders of our world allies and foes alike?

Our First Lady underwent surgery yesterday, and most mainscream media headlines mentioned it ... some were so bold as to pass along that it was successful... I won't say "none" as I could have missed one, but I didn't see any such that actually prayed for her or her husband or family. Just in case you hadn't already, please pray for Melania Trump, her husband and family

---
From the "where's PETA and the ACLU and the leftist Judicial conclave" department - Online headline/story: "Colorado rangers kill bear suspected of mauling child * "Based on the description of the bear and that it returned to the same general area, we believe it is the same animal," Porras said by telephone." -- Talk about "profiling" and "circumstantial evidence"!... In Columbus, GA, we can't get murderers convicted of killing people they weren't aiming at but die anyway.

---
What a month Trump, the USA and world have had...Kim Jong Ooops has seen the light , 3 Americans freed, meeting set in Singapore, 5 ISIS leaders captured, fabulous GDP predictions, Obama's unsigned deal with Iran vacated, and opening the US Embassy in Jerusalem. He could get a LIFETIME achievement award for the last 30 days or so.

---
A week from today is our primary/non-partisan election date..Early voting is going on, and while I've spoken out for the local Council/MCSB candidates, and Josh McKoon, we have other races on the ballots..I'm basically supporting Columbus candidates that are running in State offices. It's something all Columbus voters should consider.

---
I think the most disappointing aspect of the upcoming primary/non-partisan elections is (no, not Zeph Baker... though it's close) is that the GA District 2 seat of Sanford Bishop has no opposition in the DIMocratic Party primary. Surely.. DIMocrat voters cannot be happy... even partially pleased with the state of GA District 2...

---
You know, it's discovery of late information like what's coming to light now that makes the best argument against extended early voting periods. While I personally prefer to actually vote on Election Day in my assigned polling center, I can support an extra day or two prior to the date to circumvent a voter being unable to vote on the scheduled date, but weeks ahead is wrong...I wonder how many votes cast for Zeph Baker in early voting, may be regretted today.

---
"Thank you President Trump..for keeping your promises!" ..words out of Benjamin Netanyahu he has never uttered about a DIMocrat!

---
As an American, it surely is inspirational, comforting, to watch as promises made by a President are kept.

---
And DIMs and mainscream media just sit back dumbfounded at Trump's success...Netanyahu explained to to them, but neither group is listening...it's all about knowing our President keeps his promises.

---
Israel has learned that America is it's true ally when DIMocrats are not in power...I still do not understand how...why.. the Jewish community in America overwhelmingly supports the DIMocratic Party.

---
Want to hear from our existing Councilors, but I heard from a knowledgeable source that it will be 2018 before the much talked-about River Road roundabout could become a reality...now it's even more important than ever that Council be transparent about the projected costs will be..In 2012, it was going to be a $1.5 Million dollar projected paid for with GA DOT revenues...as of Feb of 2016, the GA DOT said it would be a $2.7 Million dollar project with the GA DOT still paying the original $1.5 Million, but the City would have to cough up the extra $1.2 Million..We must assume that the GA DOT will hold it's ground on the original $1.5 Million, and Columbus taxpayers will get stuck for the extra costs of Tom-LYING-son's vanity.

---
Is it just me or do notice that putting "DIMocrat" on campaign signs or in ads is avoided at all costs?

---
News alert.. Stephanie Clifford.. a.k.a. "Stormy Daniels", considered a brief US Senate campaign in 2009 in Louisiana.. she was the perfect DIMocrat candidate..she was a professional at laying down on the job, and her husband may have been the first man to create a #metoo4men twitter account.

---
Well... here it is.. the Together_2017 promised exercise station at Rotary Park.. a fellow BC sent me photos and a couple of questions about what now EXISTS.. He asked.. 1 - who's gonna maintain it, but more importantly, who's gonna u it when the seats are red hot from sitting out in the sun all day, and can you imagine how hot that concrete slab will be to bare feet (surely you don't expect bicyclers to exercise in their cleated riding shoes do you?)?

Why didn't "they" just ask any child who's slid down a park slide on a sunny day?

---
Good... no... GREAT News.. Fox is bringing back "Last Man Standing".. ABC dropped it because of Tim Allen's conservative stance on political issue and his non-politically correct posture clashed with ABC's gender neutral executive team. It won't return until the Fall Season, but you can get a taste of Tim Allen on TV... he's the voice in those pretty soothing pro-Michigan ads.

---
Hey MidTown Columbus.. check into the law about not taking down old chimneys.. this may be the "Achilles' Heel" of the proposed low-income housing project Mayor Tom-LYING-son has "gifted" to Columbus on her way out.

---
L-E "headLIE": "Supreme Court makes sports betting possible nationwide" -- WRONG! We have had nationwide sports betting for decades,, maybe centuries; what the Supreme Court did was possibly legalize it nationwide...

---
Have you seen the editorial cartoon that implies it's "Trump Family Values" making ICE split illegal aliens' from their families? What a crock... American criminals subject their families to the same family split every day in America.. perhaps protesters should devote themselves to stopping American criminals from committing crimes that separate them from their families.

---
Whoa! Mayor Tom-LYING-son's legacy is SOARING! Today's L-E "Foreclosure Section" has 12 pages!

Monday, May 14, 2018

From the " it's hitting the fan ..at high speed" department - We really do need an investigative newspaper in Columbus.. unless, of course the L-E already knew this..... The plot thickens over the residency of Zeph Brown... sure, he's the owner of 1091 Bolton Avenue, but 1091 Bolton Avenue is listed as an assisted living (capacity of 4) center under the mantle of B & O Services of which Joann Thomas Brown.. a 2016 candidate for the MCSB is the CEO.

Here are the links to B & O Services :

And now I hear that the Board of Elections still has the power to disqualify candidates up until election date... will they is another story. While Zeph Baker's name cannot now be removed from the ballots, disqualification now will avoid post election expenses such as a "run-off" or lawsuits BY the City.

---
Zeph Baker's campaign slogan of "It's Time" may really be prophetic... It IS time, for Baker to be honest and transparent as he wants us to believe he is.. It IS ...in fact, PAST TIME for Baker to spare Columbus of any more expense of the scandal it's become... It's WAY Past time for Baker to file his campaign reports and address his legal issues.

---
After Thursday's foul mouthed explosions from Patrick Reed at the TPC, I wasn't about to trust the PGA having done anything corrective. So whenever Reed came on camera this weekend, I just hit the mute button. Hey, Zeph... It IS time.. to do the right thing...

---
McCain IS demented...he just came out and said that naming Sarah Palin as his VP choice was a mistake...really.....I do not think I would have voted for McCain without Palin on his ticket.

---
From the "mainscream media never imagined" department - Online headline/story: "Trump Thanks North Korea for ‘Smart’ Move to Dismantle Test Site * A ceremony will be held between May 23 and May 25 for the dismantling of North Korea’s northern nuclear test ground, weather permitting, the state-run Korean Central News Agency said Saturday, quoting the Foreign Ministry." -- Just think...an actual deal... signed at that ... that will reduce the threat of nuclear disaster immeasurably.. Hey, Iran.. you're NEXT!

---
Fox's Neal Cavuto nailed mainscream media Saturday...reporters being invited to attend North Korea "cleaning out" its nuclear testing facility was being discussed. A commentator said that was not enough..and that experts need to be invited, too. Cavuto then asked her, "Does that mean that you think "prompter readers" are not experts?"... Well reported Cavuto!

---
From the "Trump Effect" department - L-E headline/story: "2nd Democrat says he’ll vote to make Haspel head of CIA * Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., announced Saturday his support for Gina Haspel’s nomination to be CIA director, providing a crucial second Democratic vote that should provide enough margin for confirmation to overcome questions about her role in last decade’s controversial interrogation program. * Donnelly joins Sen. Joe Manchin III, D-W.Va., as the only other Democrat to announce support for Gina Haspel."  -- Hmmm... could it be that some DIMocrats have stopped drinking UpChuck Schumer's Kool-Aid... or is it simply that they are running for re-election against good Republican candidates in states that decidedly supported Trump-Pence in 2018?
---
L-E headline.story: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL BUDGET REVIEW COMMITTEE AGENDA
A Budget Review Committee meeting is held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Columbus Council Chambers at the City Services Center. It is aired live on CCG-TV. * Council Budget Review Session Agenda Public Works, Pat Biegler Probate Court, Judge Marc D'Antonio Trade Center, Hayley Henderson Elections, Nancy Boren Parks & Recreation, Holli Browder Metra, Rosa Evans Fire/EMS, Chief Jeff Meyer Muscogee County Prison, Warden Dwight Hamrick District Attorney, Julia Slater Police, Chief Ricky Boren Finance, Angelica Alexander Human Resources, Reather Hollowell Information Technology, Forrest Toelle Clerk of Superior Court, Shasta Glover Superior Court Judges, Ed Berry Transportation Projects, Deputy City Manager Pam Hodge" -- Let's hope... no PRAY HEARTILY, the Budget Review Committee parses Tom-LYING-son's projected revenue stream to make sure her budget proposal is "good" rather than an albatross around the neck of next year's Council and new Mayor

---
From an attack letter to the Editor of the L-E.. David R. Schwimmer (the CSU professor.. not the "Friends" star) - Good grief... Schwimmer is an oft printed leftist supporter who finds no bias in the drivel of Leonard "the" Pitts words, but detests the logic of Walter Williams, a brilliant conservative black professor.. Schwimmer is a not worthy of having his word spread about... but he does reflect the L-E leftist bias.. go figure... OK.. times up.. you've figured out why the L-E prints him. Sadly... this guy is preaching his biases to our college aged children.

---
Speaking of Leonard "the" Pitts, here's the headline of his latest drivel printed in the L-E Sunday - L-E Commentary headline: "Why we need the new Poor People’s Campaign * BY LEONARD PITTS JR. * Miami Herald" -- Though not in his words, Pitts is really promoting the efforts of the only president since Reagan that has had the interest of America's "Poor People" in his heart.. Yes, Trump IS the champion of all Americans.. more jobs, less welfare, and less government interference ARE the needs for Poor People to escape the "enslavement mentality" of the Socialist/DIMocratic Party.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Michael Avenatti posts photos of Cohen with Qatari investor accused of bribery" -- This news? Good grief... lawyers make their living representing many, many dubious people accused of crimes... in fact, I bet I can find 1000s of photos of Michael Avenatti out and about with a whore.

---
From the "tell it like it is" department - Online headline: "'I don't get involved with pimps': Rudy Giuliani escalates battle with Stormy Daniels' lawyer" -- And Giuliani is "spot on"...When some one represents someone using her porno film name, he's basically her "agent", and that.. my friends, describes a pimp.

---
AT&T just lost any possibility of my ever using their services again...AT&T's blanket dismissal of the services of Michael Cohen as an attorney AT&T CHOSE from a pool of qualified attorneys just makes AT&T sound indecisive and petty.

---
Online story: "The National Rifle Association on Friday sued New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the state's financial regulator for engaging in what it said was a "blacklisting campaign" aimed at swaying banks and insurers to stop doing business with the gun advocacy group, according to a complaint. * The NRA's lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, follows a $7 million fine on May 2 imposed by NYDFS against insurance broker Lockton Cos LLC, which administered an NRA-branded insurance program known as "Carry Guard." * On May 7, NYDFS fined insurer Chubb Ltd and its Illinois Union Insurance Company unit $1.3 million for having "unlawfully provided liability insurance to gun owners for acts of intentional wrongdoing," the regulator said." -- Good grief.. one DIMocrat wanted to "fine" for not carrying (health) insurance, now another DIMocrat "fined" an insurance company FOR insuring us.

---
From the "lists, lists, everywhere a list" department - Online headline: "Most Dangerous States in America"-- Well, Georgia made it well up the list of "most dangerous".. WE know personally about the dangerous environment in Columbus simply from the "jury fail" reports I post of juries not convicting felons on their "worst" charges so that the prison system will let them out "way early" . What's more disturbing is that half of Columbus is represented by the same Congressman.. DIMocrat Sanford Bishop... as Albany,GA and it is rated THE worst metro area in GEORGIA, Of course, with the number of murders here in Columbus this year on a RECORD pace, Columbus could take over Albany's "title" for 2018.

21. Georgia
> Violent crimes per 100,000: 398
> Total 2016 murders: 681 (5th most)
> Imprisonment rate: 666 adults per 100,000 (9th highest)
> Poverty rate: 16.0% (10th highest)
> Most dangerous metro area: Albany
---
And the lists keep coming... Now there's one on the highest state/federal taxes on gas-per-gallon.. Georgia comes in number 20 on this list... this may explain why Georgia is also so high on the "dangerous crimes" list , too.

20. Georgia
> State gas tax: 31.0 cents / gal.

Maxine Waters.. D - CA, is without a doubt a fool... Now she's melting down and saying she "resents MAGA". Hey, Maxine...don't be fooled (as compared to "don't BE the fool).. no one was blaming you for REPRESENTING America's Greatness to begin with

---
Online headline: "Town & Country apologizes to Monica Lewinsky for party disinvite after Bill Clinton accepted" -- Hmmm... seems to me that if Town & Country "disinvited" Monica AND Bill, everyone else attending would be "more comfortable".  Hmmm... in the world of #METOO!, don't you find it strange that not only is Bill Clinton's "past" a taboo subject, but his "sexual addiction" diagnosis is also?

---
A fellow BCer sent me this, and I'm sharing with the rest of you:

"Why No Transgender in the Military?

Trey Gowdy just said a few things about the military in response to a stupid question from a CNN reporter about the ban of transgender. He nails it. * “Nobody has a "right" to serve in the Military. Nobody. What makes people think the Military is an equal opportunity employer? Very far from it.

The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to deny citizens from joining for being too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too tall or too short. Citizens are denied for having flat feet, or for missing or additional fingers. Poor eyesight will disqualify you, as well as bad teeth. Malnourished? Drug addiction? Bad back? Criminal history? Low IQ? Anxiety? Phobias? Hearing damage? Six arms? Hear voices in your head? Self-identify as a Unicorn? Need a special access ramp for your wheelchair? Can't run the required course in the required time? Can't do the required number of push-ups? Not really a "morning person" and refuse to get out of bed before noon? All can be reasons for denial.
The Military has one job. WAR!

Anything else is a distraction and a liability. Did someone just scream "That isn't Fair?" War is VERY unfair, there are no exceptions made for being special or challenged or socially wonderful. YOU change yourself to meet Military standards. Not the other way around.
I say again: You don't change the Military...you must change yourself. The Military doesn't need to accommodate anyone with special issues. The Military needs to Win Wars.

If any of your personal issues are a liability that detract from readiness or lethality... Thank you for applying and good luck in future endeavors.” --

---In a word of my own.... AMEN!
---
Did I hear right..that the FEC is considering allowing candidates to pay for childcare out of political campaign donations..If that's so, then let's make all donations be considered "earned income " and taxed accordingly. And since it involves children's welfare, maybe all donors should be vetted for moral background deficiencies before they can give a donation, and all corporations/PACs be eliminated from donating. In fact.. all donors should be eligible TO VOTE for a candidate they donate funds to.

Took Mark Cantrell up on his advice.. called General Steel about the costs of a 40x60x20 foot, 3:12 roof pitch, steel building using "red iron".. Jon F. at General Steel answered all my questions.. a complete package of all the steel components including framed cut-outs for 2 standard walk-in doors and an 8' opening can be delivered to the site for $38,429.00 and that includes 3-sets of construction plans. and the building meeting all Georgia standards for wind and snow. Seems like there would be $711,571.00 to pour a slab, assemble the building and equip it with HVAC, electric service, plumbing and wrestling pads.. OK, Mark Cantrell, and other School Board members/candidates... how much for the subs to do these, and what are you going to do with the $500,000.000 or so that WON"T be needed to do so?

With the new tax law being worked on taking away US Passports for Americans owing IRS $50,000.00 or more, GA gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams could become the first state governor who promotes illegals allowed into America, but can't legally leave America.

From the "didn't I suggest this earlier?" department - Online headline: "JOHN KERRY SPOTTED WITH IRANIAN DIPLOMATS After Iran Threatens To Release Names Of Officials Who Took Bribes To Pass Sham Nuke Deal"

President Trump is right on the target wanting the Big Pharma companies to advertise the prices of the medicines they are advertising...many of them are "tweaks" of their older products that have or are about to become generic, but the prices are not mentioned because Big Pharma knows that if you ask your doctor about them he/she will prescribe them and you will only know what your c0-pay costs.. A recent example is Eucrisa.. a topical ointment for a type of dermatitis.. the ad shows a child smiling as a parent rubs some on a spot.. but it doesn't tell you that it's a guaranteed CURE, nor does it tell you that a 60 gram tube (a shade over 2 ounces) of a 2% mixture (i.e. 98% of product is an inert carrier) costs between $619.05 to $666.31 in the Columbus, GA area if you do not have this kind of insurance coverage...

---
Well, Mitt Romney is blasting Trump's choice of pastors to give the blessing at the opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem.. Romney is consistent... now... as he also blasts President Trump... Could it be that Romney is just kicking himself for listening to the establishment Republicans who told him he should get more passive in his campaign against McCain in the 2008 primary, and Obama in the 2012 General Elections he lost, because Romney saw Trump win by doing what he needed to do to win? Maybe we should rem=name Romney... how about Nitt as in nitpicking?

---
Online headline: "Pakistan bars US diplomat from leaving amid tense relations" -- Hmmm...isn't this... basically.. "kidnapping" possibly a declaration of war?

---
Online story: "President Trump had plenty of kind words for his own mom on Mother’s Day, but he conspicuously failed to mention any of the mothers of his children. *In a 90-second video on Twitter, Trump spoke fondly of Mary MacLeod Trump. * “She was just incredible,” he said. “Warm, loving, really smart, could be tough if she had to be, but basically she was a really nice person. So much of what I’ve done and so much of what I’ve become is because of my mother.”" -- and what did mainscream media use as a headline, "President Trump forgets about Melania on Mother's Day" Good grief.. President Trump did what nearly every man, woman, and child in America did.. took 90 seconds of reflection of his/her Mother on this special observance day. And like most, if not all men, praised his wife in private. And guess what, Trump will praise his father on Father's Day.. not reflect on his own fatherhood.

You know.. it's this continuous nanny-nanny... no... Pelosi-Pelosi-Pooh-Pooh from the left that will sweep more Republican Trump supporters into office in 2018, and give Trump a major landslide win in 2020!

From the "once again Mayor Tom-LYING-son disappoints MidTown" department - L-E headline/story: "Steep bank on Wynnton Road eroding a month after water main break * An area resident noticed the bank with no vegetation slowly disappearing and posed that question to city officials. The concern surfaced since the water main failed on April 13 and sent water down the street for more than seven hours before a Columbus Water Works crew shut it off. The pipe was repaired the next day. * Farhad AliFarhani, assistant director of engineering/traffic engineering manager, said the right-of-way belongs to the city and he has seen the steep bank with erosion on the top. He hopes the Water Works will return to the area and restore it." -- The discovery of the low-income housing plans at Wynnton and Hilton are not even addressed and now this.. First, the Mayor is an ad hoc member of the Water Board.. secondly, how can it take more than 7 hours for the CWW to shut the main off, and third, how much water passed through that burst main that the CWW will want to add on to our water bills to make up for it's slothfulness in shutting it down?

Earlier this week, I mentioned Nestle had picked up Starbuck's Coffee distributions... you remember Starbuck's the founder/chief shareholder saying he wished Trump voters would not buy his coffee... well, Nestle just bought that, too.. It'll be personally painful because Nestle makes a number of products that our household regularly "depends" on.. we will be finding replacements for Nestle/Deer Park/Poland Springs water... Butterfinger candy, Coffeemate, DiGiorno pizzas, Haagen-Dazs, and Toll House cookies. Oh, and it'll hit our cat even harder... he's been eating Purina ONE for all 17 of his years, and Tidy Cat has been out "go-to" litter. Anyway, we must do what we must do.. Bye-bye, Nestle.. the only product of Nestle I will buy is my grandson's "Gerber" formula mix..but only because it's the choice of his parents...

Finally got that call/chat in with Mark Cantrell...I had gotten some prices on my own about steel buildings just yesterday, and though Mark didn't have all the information I think all the MCSB members should have concerning the costs of projects they are 'approving'. he did give me some useful info into digging up info for myself.. Talked with Allied Steel Buildings earlier and found that if "we" committed today (Friday), we could get the steel components for a 60'x40'x20' steel building delivered to my property in September for $29,000.00...or if I delayed a bit, the company wouldn't guarantee that price and it might cost $40K..Mark listened and said that probably was not with "red iron" steel which better withstands the possibility of a fire. I have an estimate request in now for a building using "red iron" I-beams as Mark suggested. We had a good discussion on a number of subjects and I do heartily support him for his re-election to Post 6. Oh... the building supplies I mention first come with a 25-year warranty!

You know...Trump is beginning to remind the electorate that he is their new ROCKY! Mainscream media, the DIMocrats, and Mueller & Rowenstein are throwing every punch they can at him, and Trump takes it while building up a giant November knockout punch for the DIMocrats.

Received a Bart Steed mailer yesterday.. he left out that he is on the MCSD "dole" with an open ended $165,000.00 contract. He also says he is on the SPLOST committee... if he's talking about the 2015SPLOST committee I'm on, I haven't seen him at one, and I haven't missed any, and I don't see an e-mail address associated with him on my committee e-mails . I still wonder how anybody with a MCSD contract can run to serve on the MCSB. He's already beholden to the Administration and current MCSB for his job.

Since we're getting closer to election date (and early voting is in effect), I revisited Mike Edmondson's Campaign Disclosure page at the Elections Department..I thought I remembered he filed a document that he wasn't going to accept donations or make expenditures exceeding $2,500.00 but I've seen a whole bunch of major signage and billboards about town, and he's suppose to an additional report if he does.. I do not see one...

L-E headline/story: "Stepdad finds sex offender with 14-year-old girl — and tries to fight him, Columbus police say * Checking McCoy’s background, investigators discovered he was a sex offender from Opelika, Ala., having just been released from prison Feb. 8. He had served time since 2011 for raping an 11-year-old, Hogan said. * She said McCoy afterward had moved in with a relative in Alabama, but he got kicked out and came to Columbus to live with a sister, in a home with four juveniles in it. He had not informed authorities of his new address, Hogan said." -- A L-E Commenter delved into this (_@_)'s past crime and found he had gotten out early for "good time".Let's pray that 1- we don't experience another "jury fail" when this reaches court, and 2 - legislators will find resolve to make all sentences for sex offenders life without parole . Let's also pray for judicial review about giving any SEX OFFENDER an early release for "good time".

HuffPOOPOO headline: "John McCain's wife rebukes White House official who mocked him as 'dying anyway' -- You know.. if "the Missus" really wanted to make the end days "good", she'd have already had him retired to home.. Instead, she's allowed him to "mock himself" with statements and votes that negate his service to America.

Online story: "Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen reportedly drafted a resignation letter after President Donald Trump berated her in front of cabinet officials, but stopped short of submitting it, according to a New York Times report published on Thursday. * Trump reportedly railed against Nielsen on Wednesday, saying that she failed to adequately secure the US border, former officials with knowledge of the incident said to The Times. * Following the release of the report, Nielsen said in a statement that Trump "is rightly frustrated," according CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller." -- "reportedly drafted a resignation letter"? Good grief... and who would be the ONLY person to KNOW she had "drafted" a letter of resignation.... she herself! The fact SHE made such knowledge available is reasons for firing her NOW!

Online story: " A 104-year-old Australian scientist killed himself in Switzerland on Thursday by lethal injection in an assisted suicide he hoped would trigger more lenient euthanasia laws in his home country. * British-born David Goodall, who was not terminally ill, personally triggered a lethal dose of a barbiturate and died at 1030 GMT in a clinic near Basel, the assisted suicide group Exit International said." -- "hoped would trigger more lenient euthanasia laws"? Well, it's certain now, that he won't be around to witness such.. You know, this has to be a welcomed opportunity for abortion clinics.. now they can project that they aren't baby-killers, they are simply assisting in suicides.

I can appreciate Fox News' desire to present "fair and balanced" news, but when Fox presents good conservative issues, Fox runs to DIMocrat spinmeisters/politicians who only negate the opportunities of meaningful discussion rather than ones who will at least discuss the issues with some alternatives that are plausible.

---
Online story: "Gwinnett’s three congressmen were split along party lines as to whether President Donald Trump made the right decision to withdraw the U.S. from the multinational Iran nuclear deal." -- Good grief..It's not like Trump overruled Obama legislation when Trump opted out of the Kerry/Obama/Iran nuclear deal...it was never enacted/approved by Congress. nor even signed by Iran...and yet DIMocrats are literally defending nothing!

One thing for sure.. if Websters is looking for an example of stupidity to mention in an update of it's dictionaries, GA District 4 Representative Hank Johnson, DIMocrat, should be the leading contender. Once again he does not disappoint proving his concern over Guam tipping over was not a one-time "misspeak".. In today's e-mail of his work, Johnson says, "TRUMP PULLS OUT OF IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL: I issued the following statement after President Trump announced he would pull the United States out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action also called the Iran Nuclear Agreement: The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is working – with historic restrictions and invasive inspections preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and making the American people and our allies safer. Hey, Hank.. what about the FACTS that neither you or Congress ever voted to approve it it, and Iran never SIGNED it?

Rep. Johnson’s statement on Trump Pulling Out of the Iran Nuclear Deal
May 9, 2018 Press Release:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) released the following statement after President Donald Trump announced he will restore U.S. economic sanctions on Tehran, a move that effectively pulls the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal (JCPA), a 2015 agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, China, Germany and the European Union that halted Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions:
“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is working – with historic restrictions and invasive inspections preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and making the American people and our allies safer,” said Rep. Johnson. “Unilaterally walking away from this agreement will leave America isolated instead of Iran, weaken our international credibility during a critical moment with North Korea and recklessly put the catastrophic threat of a nuclear-armed Iran back on the table. The Trump Administration’s reckless, rash decisions are no substitute for real global leadership. Democrats will continue to show strong, smart leadership to keep our country safe.”

NBC's Andrea Mitchell...what a jerk..she tried to infer that VP Mike Pence doesn't understand how evil Kim Jong Oooops is, yet Mitchell fawned over for Fidel Castro as if he was God.

From the "best info award" department - an expert on interrogation on Fox made the best comment about the Congressional Committee vetting the new CIA nominee.."This committee must remember we're talking about the CIA, not the PTA."

From the "facts? We don't need no facts." department - Online headline/story: "New York Times slams AWOL Pompeo, then learns he was rescuing Americans *
As the New York Times was bashing Mike Pompeo for being missing in action while President Trump tore up the Iran nuclear deal, it turned out the secretary of state was busy rescuing three Americans who have been held captive in North Korea. * In an apparent jab at the administration, The Times’ headline said, “At a Key Moment, Trump’s Top Diplomat Is Again Thousands of Miles Away.” -- You know.. it's time for the Patent/Copywrite Office to revoke the NYT's use of it's motto first used in 1896, ""All the News That's Fit to Print."

One more point about Zeph Baker's qualifying "residence".. It's almost funny enough to cry about.. the Tax Assessed Value is $100,110.00 while Zeph lists it on his financial disclosure as worth over $200,000.00... Hey, he's one of 15 on the Board of Equalization, why hasn't he voluntarily changed the taxable value?

Oh... and how about filing some financial reports, Zeph Baker... we need some of the transparency you keep talking about..

Was watching PGA Live coverage of the TPC yesterday, and the PGA is going to have to either muzzle or penalize or ban Patrick Reed for his lack of language control. I hit worse shots and don't utter the gutter and lordly condemnation we were exposed to by the PGA Live broadcast.

Updates on local candidates I now support..

Council 1 - Pop Barnes.. don't always agree, but Pop is the hardest working Councilor in the field, and I cannot fault hard work.

Council 3 - Bruce Huff - good man with concerns on future of Columbus

Council 5 - Charmaine Crabb - running unopposed .. her hard work in the L}|Keep the Freeze Committee has endeared her to the District..

Council 7 - Sia Etemadi.. haven't met him, but what I read and research about him shows he is dedicated to the future of Columbus... and I like this in a candidate.

Council 9 - leaning toward Judy Thomas, but I do want more independence and consistency from her...

Council 10 - Tollie Strode, Jr.. a man meant to be in Columbus' future.. did a yeoman's job guiding the successful "Keep the Freeze" movement, and probably the best informed person running for a local political office.

MCSB 2 - Sheryl McCraine.. just what we need

MCSB 4 - Toyia Tucker.. we need a representative who's full focus is on OUR public school system's needs.

MCSB 6 - Mark Cantrell - believe he's about to come into his own with the upcoming MCSB needs.

MCSB 8 - Frank Myers.. he's why we have more public knowledge of what has gone on, and we need his dedication to the taxpayers and students.

MCSB - Tony McCool.. I cannot support a MCSB member who's time and energy is spent juggling her child's private school needs with what the MCSD students' need are.

And get the Republican primary ballot.. it includes all the non-partisan races as well, and it's the only way Columbus voters can support Josh McKoon for GA's next Secretary of State nomination.

L-E story: "The Harris County Board of Education went into closed session Thursday night — officially for an undisclosed reason, but the superintendent’s lawyer has said the purpose is to discuss firing the school district’s leader. * The Ledger-Enquirer reported Wednesday that superintendent Jimmy Martin’s lawyer, Ted Theus, said board chairman Shane Lipp warned the superintendent, if he didn’t resign, board members would vote to fire him after a closed session during Thursday night’s meeting." -- What I want to know, is why this story was not Thursday's Front page, above the fold lead-off..the story was "online" before 5:00 PM Wednesday...

From the "this is getting tired" department - L-E headline/story: "Police called on napping black Yale student * L****** S*******’s exasperated message to the campus police officers – and to the Yale graduate student who’d summoned them to her dorm – was simple and consistent: She didn’t have to do anything to prove that she was justified in being there, just because she happened to be black. * “I deserve to be here. I pay tuition like everybody else,” an annoyed S8888888 told responding officers after they repeatedly asked her to hand over identification. “I’m not going to justify my existence here.” -- "told responding officers after they repeatedly asked her to hand over identification"? Good grief... this whole thing would have died with a simple presentation of Student ID... every student would have been asked to provide such.. this isn't singling out.. it's an obvious attempt to draw attention... unnecessary attention to oneself.. but this mentality is rampant when innocent as well as the non-innocent refuse to simply co-operate with an authority figure simply doing his/her job.. I remember getting "called out by police personnel during the Stocking Strangler days in Columbus.. and I was walking in my parents' neighborhood while staying at their home as extra protection.. I wasn't upset at the police doing their jobs.. in fact, I was glad to see them taking no chance of not checking out anyone walking through an affected neighborhood.

From the "they're back" department - Online headline: "Trump welcomes back Americans freed by North Korea" -- "freed by North Korea"? Media bias is even present in the headline in spite of reality... the three were released because of Trump's presence in the White House..

From the "can you blame them" department - Online headline/story: "Mormons to end long association with Boy Scouts of America * The Mormon church announced Tuesday it will sever a more than century-old tie with the Boy Scouts of America and transfer its remaining 425,000 boys in the program into a gospel-focused youth group it is developing." -- You know, with 2.7 Million enrolled on Boy/Cub Scouts, losing 15% is not a "death blow", but it sure should be a wake-up call...What's significant, is that the Mormons are not a dissident segment.. the Mormons are the ones trying to keep the tradition...

Online headline: "9/11 alleged mastermind comes out against Haspel's nomination as next CIA chief" -- What a great reason to confirm her!

NBC Online headline: "Failed candidate Blankenship attacks McConnell, brings up China again" -- Typical mainscream media strategy.. Blankenship was handily rejected in WV by Trump Republican voters, so now NBC will give Blankenship air space to vent against other Republicans.. What's wrong, NBC.. Hellary doesn't have another "Would you believe this, then" book being released this week?

From the "lynch mob mentality" department - Online story: "Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia was indicted in a 1996 sexual assault case, but not tried after his accuser declined to testify, court records surfaced by the Detroit News show." -- Hmmm.. looks like mainscream media is opposed to the 11th Amendment of our Constitution, too.. about a person being innocent until PROVEN guilty by a jury of his/her peers.. Seems like mainscream media is more in favor of a "trial by furor" than a "trial by Jurors".

From the "who's the Chief Public Safety Officer" department - Online story: "The Denver mayor whose son was caught on video using an anti-gay slur directed at a police officer during a traffic stop says he hopes his son can meet face-to-face with the officer again -- to apologize. * The comments from Michael Hancock on Tuesday came hours after a local news station published a video showing his 22-year-old son, Jordan, telling an Aurora cop “my dad’s the mayor, you f-----g f----t” during a March traffic stop. * Jordan Hancock was ticketed for driving 65 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone and agreed in court Monday to pay a $250 fine." -- What's missing in this story was the Aurora Police Officer's response to the "my dad's the mayor" rant.. the police officer responded , "(mayor) of Denver... you're in Aurora"...

You know.. the new bill Deal signed in making use handheld cellphones illegal basically shows how STUPID GA legislators can be.. Even in this era of built in Blue Tooth connections, most... maybe all, new cars cars are not equipped to handle two-or-more cellphones at the same time when a husband and wife are together and swapping of driving times. Can't wait to see the State AG defend this in court.

Online headline/story: "State probing voting problems in Atlanta mayor’s race * The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office said Tuesday that it has launched an investigation into potential irregularities during the city of Atlanta runoff in December that yielded a narrow victory for Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms." -- You know.. I really doubt this would have been an issue except that new DIMocrat mayor Bottoms has pushed to expose the illegal payoffs by the outgoing DIMocrat mayor...

Hmmm.. Question of the season: If Zeph Baker should win the mayor's race, will he actually reside at the address he filed in his candidacy declaration?

---
Looking into Zeph Baker's claims sorta brings his neighbors into scrutiny.. There are 5 homes on Bolton Ct including the one Zeph Baker lists as his qualifying address.. last month, another address was list on his record as the one to send tax information. That has been "cleaned up following a meeting we had 4 weeks ago. But looking at the tax base info and seeing the five homes on Bolton Fair Market Valued between $100,110.00 and $114,700.00 brings questions into Baker own evaluation of his 1091 Bolton Ct address listed at a value of "over $200,000.00 on his qualifying financial disclosure" (For the record, ZILLOW.COM feels this residence is valued at $114,710.00). For one of his neighbors, we also find that a H1 homestead exemption is given even though tax information to him is routed to an apartment in North Columbus.. We definitely need to know if Baker's definition of "transparency" is being defined by Slick Willie Clinton.

L-E headline: "Defense attorney calls witnesses ‘Three Stooges’" -- Hmmm... does that mean the ADAs can refer to the defendant as "Stooge number 4"?

From the "don't blame me for losing" department - Online headline: "Blankenship blames President Trump for Senate bid loss in West Virginia" -- Hmmm... what is it with candidates that blame everybody but themselves, nor give credit for another candidate being better at connecting with the voters? Maybe he and Hellary can have a "Tear Summit" and co-write another "blame book" together.

---
Nancy "Queen" Pelosi has visions of retaking the House Speaker role in 2019.. Whatta relief.. this means she's a bigger albatross for the DIMocrats in November than even Hellary can ever be.

Online "headLIE"/story: "Obama: Leaving Iran deal 'misguided' * Former President Barack Obama on Tuesday criticized President Donald Trump's decision to exit the Iran deal, a pillar of Obama's legacy on foreign policy. * "Indeed, at a time when we are all rooting for diplomacy with North Korea to succeed, walking away from the JCPOA risks losing a deal that accomplishes -- with Iran -- the very outcome that we are pursuing with the North Koreans," Obama said in a statement. "That is why today's announcement is so misguided."" -- Good grief... signing the current treated was misguided... unless of course, the signers representing America's interest benefited from all the cash that silently was exchanged...

Obama feels Trump leaving the Iran deal is bad...bad was getting into that agreement with Iran in the first place.

Trump comes through again...America is blessed. And even Jeff Sessions found his manhood ..again.

I've been doing some follow up "investigating" on Zeph Baker's claims..I was thrilled when he first got in as I'd supported his 8 years ago in a race against Tom-LYING-son.. but today... not so much..WE had a talk about claims made about his residency, and felt pretty good... until I learned he was getting legal papers delivered to his home residence in Newnan, GA, and had used that Newnan address to register his child in the Newnan School System. Then yesterday, I took another look at his financial disclosures concerning his "business interests/holdings in Columbus... and found they are now non-existent...the one at 5150 Macon Road.. Majestic Sunz.. is, confirmed by "Google" and a drive-by, "Permanently Closed".. his business of "Health Matters" at 1124 13th Street also is not operating.. instead, the shell building is a "billboard" for Zeph Baker signs. I do not understand how the Board of Elections ruled Zeph Baker eligible to run in Columbus..

_________________
In 1990, I ran for Columbus' mayoral spot as a write-in just to be able to vote "FOR" a candidate... While it's too late to do so again... I am considering a vote for "None of the Above" in this upcoming election.. What will be a determining factor is whether those in the know,, whether candidates for mayor of candidates running for re-election to Council become transparent about the costs of the River Road roundabout. OK, I will vote for the candidate that I think will serve the community best... I'm just not convinced who that is as yet.

---
On the other hand, I'm very convinced that Tollie Strode in Council Post 10, Bruce Huff in Council Post 3, Charmaine Crabb in Council Post 5. Sheryl McCraine in MCSB Post 2, Frank Myers in MCSB Post 8, Toyia Tucker in MCSB Post 4, and Tony McCool in MCSB Post 9 at-large deserve of support.

Earlier this week, I mentioned the "mosquito threat" that a store at the corner of Veterans Parkway and 38th St poses for Columbus.. here's a picture of it..please note the "healthy" image the barbed wire portrays as you ride along Veterans Parkway to the financial and historic district.. Hey, Amy Bryan, you oughta be more than concerned with this health and eyesore.. the business has one of your huge campaign signs attached to the fence..

-----------------------------------------
I as so glad that Coach Bobby Howard will have the opportunity to achieve his 1000th baseball victory in Columbus...I just wish he could do so under the banner of A MCSD program. It is a mistake...that the MCSD did not allow Coach Howard to finish his trek under this banner

When it gets down to absolutes, DIMocrats voted 100% against Trump's tax cut bill...and only because DIMocrats actually believe they can spend/watch out for YOUR money better than YOU!

---
I think I've figured out how we have so many "jury fails" in Columbus letting killers off from their worst felony charges..After hearing the case where a man said he didn't stab his victim, but the victim ran into and impaled himself on his knife. Listening to jury findings of reduced criminalities, I guess the shooters are learning jurors will believe them if they say their guns went off, and victims ran in front of the bullets.

You know...it's tough to hear the words, "Senator John Kennedy" and realizing this is not Ted ...nor a kinfolk of Ted, and you can support his positions ..meet Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana...a Republican.

You know, if Republican Patrick Morrisey beats the incumbent DIMocrat Senator in West Virginia this November, a History of WV Politics book..could be written highlighting the last 50 years.... my working title would be: "The Byrd through Morrisey years.. From White Hood to White Hat... Change is GOOD"

Recently, I heard a friend mention that OObamaCRAP was taken away by the Republican but the Republicans didn't offer an alternative plan... this is not how it works... except under socialism... What HAS happened is that individuals will no longer get fined (taxed) for not buying overpriced, under-serving health insurance, and.. that private insurance companies can now offer tailored, rather than all-inclusive, policies for consumers to select for their families. Now, Americans can decide for themselves... again.. what's best for them.

When adding that to a $50,000 donation from Alex Soros, son of the hedge fund billionaire, the Soros family has staked half-a-million dollars on Gillum via the PAC. " -- Hmmm.. From the "do as I say, not as I do" department: HuffPOOPOO headline/story: "NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigns amid abuse allegations * Schneiderman has long championed women’s causes and has been a vocal supporter of the Me Too movement. His office filed a suit against film producer Harvey Weinstein in February, alleging Weinstein had sexually harassed women for years. * “In the last several hours, serious allegations, which I strongly contest, have been made against me. While these allegations are unrelated to my professional conduct or the operations of the office, they will effectively prevent me from leading the office’s work at this critical time.” -- You know, a new day in politics is happening when the HuffPOOPOO will lead off exposing a DIMocrat for exploitation of women...

Once again, Columbus, vote in the Republican primary during this primary/non-partisan election period.. it allows you to vote FOR Columbus' own Josh McKoon for Secretary of State.. I cannot stop emphasizing you what good it will do for Columbus top have a local friend winning a state-wide office..

Online headline/story: "An Elderly Couple Were Apparently Kicked Out Of McDonald’s Because They’d Been There 30 Minutes * The Beckers are an elderly couple from Culpeper County, Virginia. Back in March 2014, Carl was 87 years old, while Barbara was 81. But despite their age, it wasn’t unusual to see the two of them out and about together around town, often on their way for a bite to eat. * he elderly couple have six children plus an impressive 15 grandchildren. But in recent times there had been one thing that they particularly liked to do together, just the two of them. And it was all because Carl, a World War Two veteran, had a penchant for a certain fast food chain * n fact, the couple were regulars at McDonald’s. So much so that they would visit the Culpeper branch of the fast food giant several times every single week. And not only did they enjoy the food, but the pair’s trips to the restaurant got them out of the house and gave them a chance to spend some time in a different environment. * While the elderly couple were still enjoying their meal, someone approached their table. It was the manager of the Culpeper McDonald’s branch, and he had something to say to the Beckers. They never expected him to utter something so rude, though. * “He said, ‘You two need to leave now, because your half-hour is up, and we need to clean this floor,’” the 81-year-old recalled. Needless to say, the couple were left in shock." -- Hmmm.. never had this happen, but... BUT, while campaigning against the Tax Freeze REMOVAL assault orchestrated by out-going-District-133-Representative (and local McDonald's heir) Pezold, a manager from the Bradley Park McDonald's tried to run the Tollie-Strode-led "Keep the Freeze" supporters off the right-of-way in front of that McDonald's. Like the referendum, WE seniors won this also!

My bride and I went to see "Infinity Wars" yesterday.. Not wanting to be a "spoiler", but if there are more "Avenger" movies in the future, the writers must be God-like in creative Clay Molding.

From the "there's another list out" department - Online headline: "30 hottest cities for new businesses" -- Hmmm...Atlanta came in number 6... and even Cleveland made the list.. but not Columbus, GA... why is the Chamber's head of "Growth and Development" running for a Columbus Council seat? Guess she "feels" she can vote to keep her day job if she wins..

---
Online headline: "Bitter McCain: I want Obama at my funeral, but not Trump" -- How appropriate.. Obama already buried him in 2008....

---
Good grief.. mainscream media and DIMocrats.. the one's trying to accuse Trump of unproven collusion with a foreign country, are DEFENDING John Kerry for OBVIOUSLY... OPENLY... trying to interfere with Trump's handling of the deal with Iran that Kerry negotiated.. I still think that Kerry's efforts is spurred by not wanting Iran to make issue of any of the cash it received possibly.... probably being put in a numbered account for Kerry.

From the "I can finally say, "I think I've heard it all" department - L-E headline: "Knife wielding man claims victim ran into blade and impaled himself, police said" -- More duct tape, please.. my head is about to explode.

---
Mainscream media and DIMocrats are so concerned about whether Trump "is above the law", but I'm more concerned that Robert Mueller feels he is above the law.

---
L-E headline: "Columbus company adding 80 jobs as demand surges for its fashion-based product line" -- Hmmm... looks like the Chamber is scrambling to cover-up the 1000 job loss of NCR pulling out .. I guess the Chamber is trying to salvage Amy Bryan's career as head of the Chamber's "Growth and Development" department AFTER the election date.

Heard a tidbit yesterday that leads to one collusive fact.. even if Muellers impanels a Grand Jury and subpoena's Trump to testify in front of it, the Grand Jury cannot "indict a President".. but the prosecutor can file "lying before the Grand Jury" as a result.. Only Congress can charge, try, convict a President. Mueller IS on a witch hunt.

L-E headline/story: "Bobby Howard is once again coaching high school baseball in Columbus * Howard was hired as St. Anne-Pacelli’s new head baseball coach on Monday. Howard replaces Brent Benefield, who spent one season as Vikings head coach. * In 39 seasons as a head coach, Howard has compiled a 985-296 record in stops at Jordan Vocational High School, Kendrick High School, Columbus High School and Central-Phenix City High School." -- Yessiree! Let's start the countdown to 1,000 career victories! On the other hand, wish MCSB chair Kia Chambers could have gotten Howard back coaching in the MCSD rather than at her son's school.

I think it's disgusting that people convicted and sentenced for sex-trafficking of minors have to register as "sex offenders" when they get out of prison... disgusting because NONE of them deserve to get out of prison!

---
L-E "Two Cents" headline: "Columbus animal lovers pushing for a second dog walk park like the one in Oxbow Meadows" -- Hmmm... I like a fee system.. how about the few that use it sign up with a credit card, and at the end of the year, the total expenses of maintenance. poop bags, and up-keep be equally divided by the users...

---
L-E headline: "Proud moment: Two local execs to lead Georgia manufacturers" -- Wow,, Congrats to George Boyd, Jr of Goldens' Foundry and John Anker of Ankerpak.. and kudos for Pratt & Whitney's Tom Bode.. the Trump tax rewrite for corporations will definitely benefit Columbus... well, if our local politicians don't mess it up.

L-E story: "A sign is seen March 24 in a Starbucks in downtown Pittsburgh. Nestle has entered an agreement, announced Monday, to bring Starbucks products to millions of homes worldwide." -- You know.. some deals have a different effect than intended.. for me, it just means I will stop bringing Nestle's into my home..

Good grief.. did I detect 11 pages of "Legal Notices" in the Columbus L-E!. I guess the NCR closing, Sears/hhgregg/K-mart/et al leaving is coming home to the Tom-LYING-son legacy.
