From the "can I have a mulligan, please?" department - Online headline: "Michael Avenatti accuser says he dragged her, left her with marks on skin" -- Hmmm... sounds like @venatti could use a good lawyer and a lot of good advice.. Maybe Judge Kavanaugh could offer some..

Oh! where are the "#I believe her" crowd?

Online headline/story: "U.S. Rep. Fudge says she will not challenge Pelosi for House speaker * Pelosi announced that Fudge next year will chair a House subcommittee overseeing elections activities to help ensure that voting across the United States is conducted according to law." -- Aside from the obvious "buy off", I imagine that Brenda Snipes, Broward County FL's ex Superintendent of Elections, is available as her Chief Assistant..

---
Online story: "Ron Perlman joins a number of celebrities - including Alyssa Milano, "West Wing" actor Bradley Whitford and Steve Pasquale - who have announced plans to boycott film and television productions in the state, where a large number of projects are filmed." -- Perlman? Milano? Whitford? Pasquale? Hey...I think I've pretty much been unknowingly 'boycotting' whatever they've ever been cast in...who cares..

Sam's Club needs to evaluate it's new policies...especially the one where they no longer require membership cards to enter. On Monday, 3 teen girls entered about the same time as I did... all were wearing those "fanny pack" bags in front of them...all were pretty flat. About 30 minutes later, I saw them again, this time coming out of the restroom, only now those "fanny packs" were fully packed. I watched as they strolled out ..unchallenged by the exit door checker.

You know..when an appointed Lower Court judge gets "shopped", and takes it on his/herself to 'stay'/override a Presidential Executive Order that cites a current Supreme Court decision, then that judge should face an automatic impeachment and disbarred if convicted.

From the "Hey Stacey Abrams.. now here's a vote fraud you ought to be championing" department - Online headline/story: "Ridiculous that Georgia’s Rodrigo Blankenship was not finalist for Lou Groza Award * “The Groza” was created in 1992 to go to the player deemed to be the nation’s best place-kicker. But if Blankenship isn’t even a finalist for this year’s award, then the trophy is not worth the stainless steel plate on which they’ll engrave the winner’s name. * The three finalists are: Cole Tracy, LSU; Andre Szymt, Syracuse; and Cooper Rothe, Wyoming. Only one of them deserves to be on any list that would include Blankenship. None of them could hold Blankenship’s right shoe lace." -- Good grief.. no one is disputing that the 3 "finalists" all had good seasons, but 2 of the 3 don't even do the "kick-offs" for their teams.. Not even going to name the so-called finalists.. none deserve to carry Rodrigo's gym bag... but I'm betting Rodrigo will be the first kicker drafted.

Another from the "Hey Stacey Abrams.. now here's a vote fraud you ought to be championing" - department - Orange County California...voters favored the Republican candidate by over 50% of the votes, and supported the eventual Lt. Governor with less of a percentage than the winning statewide percent.. yet.. did not elect a single Republican Congressional candidate, and ALL the Democrat candidates received higher percentages of votes than the Republican candidate for Governor..

Online headline: "Stacey Abrams Says She Was Almost Blocked From Voting In Georgia Election * In fact, Abrams said she experienced the problems in her state firsthand — after nearly being denied a ballot during early voting. * In an interview with Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee said that when she went to vote last month, a poll worker initially told her that she had requested an absentee ballot and couldn't cast an in-person vote. Abrams replied that she never filed for an absentee ballot, and after a conversation with the site's manager, the matter was quickly resolved." -- You know.. when the candidate goes to a voting site, it is usually with an entourage of media and politicos.. so there is not going to be a major confrontation, but I surely would like to know where that absentee ballot is today.. and the political party affiliation of her county's Superintendent of Elections..

From the "things you find out accidentally" department - Online story: "Democrats will stick with their current state House of Representatives leader after gaining nearly a dozen seats in this month’s election. * House Minority Leader Bob Trammell, D-Luthersville, has led the caucus since last year, when Stacey Abrams stepped down to run for governor. Trammell faced a challenge from an Abrams ally, Rep. Carolyn Hugley of Columbus. * Democrats backed Trammell with a 43-to-27 vote in a closed-door meeting held Monday at the state Capitol." -- Looks like another "TKO' for Columbus.. Hugley, wife of Columbus' City Manager, challenged the Democrat leadership after enjoying her previous title of "Minority Whip", and got her head handed to her..seems like Columbus' Democrat team of Legislators just hit bottom in Atlanta... from BOTH parties. Now neither party will be interested in Columbus' needs ..or future.

In the GA Secretary of State's runoff between Rep. Brad Raffensperger and Dem. John Barrow..the Libertarian has now endorsed the Democrat ... I just wonder how a guy named Smythe Duval got 2% of the vote in the General Election to cause a run-off. After watching the scandals involving certain Florida counties, can you imagine what would have happened if Florida's Secretary of State had been a Democrat? December 4th is the run-off date.. make sure you get out and vote for Raffensperger!!!

It is going into the holiday weekend and there are still three things we are still left hanging about the facts: 1st...the Mayor's car accident 2nd, the cause of death of the man pulled out if the river in August with a head injury and 3rd, what's the status of Chuck Williams with the Columbus L-E?

From the "well, well, well...isn't this special" department - it's not that we don't feel... KNOW.. the liberal bias of Facebook, we just didn't know how the Democratic Party was in setting the liberal bar so low. Yesterday, I learned that one of Sen. Chuck Schumer's , D-NY, daughters works for Facebook! Now, I'd like see her resume'...I want to see what qualifications she has other than being Chuck Schumer's daughter.

BTW, Facebook has donated about $50,000 to her Democratic Senate minority leader dad, a vocal defender of the social media titan on Capitol Hill.

From the "it must be tough for the Columbus L-E to have to praise Trump.. even backhandedly" department - M/C headline/story: "Holiday spending expected to surge as best deals sought * If the survey’s predictions hold true, the average consumer will shell out just over $1,000 on gifts this 2018 holiday season — $1,007.24 to be exact — which would be 4.1 percent higher than shoppers’ average guesstimate a year ago of $967.13. Altogether, according to the retail federation, retail spending as a nation will surge to as much as $720.9 billion in November and December combined, which would be nearly 5 percent higher." -- Hmmm.. here's a headline the L-E hasn't.. couldn't...  run in the last 10 years.. of course the L-E storyline totally failed to mention that this is happening because of the soaring TRUMP ECONOMY!

On a local issue.. we just suffered the death of a retired Columbus Law Enforcement officer in a helicopter crash involving the local Metro Drug Task team on a routine flight for maintenance..another person also died who was not affiliated with the Metro Drug Task team.. while we are sad for both families, we taxpayers may be hit with a liability suit.. Hope Council considers this possibility as a potential issue if they allow Columbus Safety personnel to drive their City provided vehicles home in other counties and states.
