From the "Br'er MSM-13 and Br'er Democrats sure sure are slow learners" department - Online headline: "White House digs in on border wall demand, risking shutdown" -- "risking shutdown"? Good grief.. after dealing with Trump since 2015 and "knowing" Trump "can't win", you'd think the Br'ers would realize they haven't a clue in how to beat him... American patriots need a new slogan/chant.. "Shut them down!" Shut them down!"

Trump should also issue an Executive Order saying that government employees who are considered "non-essential" and effected by the "shut down" not be allowed back until their jobs are re-assessed and determined "needed".

From the "trolling with a practice fishing lure" department - Online story: "Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, the likely incoming chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told NBC's Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press" Sunday that he wants to obtain President Donald Trump's records with Deutsche Bank because they could expose "a form of compromise" with Russia." -- "likely incoming chairman of the House Intelligence Committee"? Good grief, maybe Trump should write ab Executive Order requiring the chair of the House Intelligence Committee to be tested to actually see if he has any intelligence... the short take? "Schiff is full of Schi**"

Amazing.. why haven't we heard Schi** mention going after the Clinton Foundations Canadian bank records/accounts?

Online headline: "Miss Spain to make history as first transgender contestant on Miss Universe" -- Good grief.. Spanish senoritas should be embarrassed that judges picked a "she-it" to represent Spain! Perhaps, like the Miss America contest, the swim suit competition be replaced with a "genes" competition.

Was looking at a comparison of "green cards" issued by states in 2015.. The top 5 were pretty much predictable (NY, FL, NJ, CA and HA) but found it most interesting that GA was the 18th highest issuer. In fact, GA was higher that New Mexico (29th) and barely below Arizona (17th). Of course the most disturbing data was the number of "green cards" issued to those "known" to be from banned countries.

18. Georgia
> Green cards issued in 2015: 254.1 per 100,000
> Immigrant pop.: 10.0% (16th highest)
> Most common country of origin: Mexico
> Mexican pop.: 263,036 (2.58% of total)
> Pop. from countries under ban: 12,911 (0.13% of total)

Once again, Saturday Night Live brought in Hollywood trolls to troll Trump during it's "Christmas" show... you know, SNL pretty much OWES Trump a debt of gratitude if not a monetary one.. In 2016, SNL said it was eliminating 2 "Commercial ad breaks" so it could add more content.. What BS! The reality was that SNL couldn't draw enough ad interest.. In comes Trump for the 2017 season, and SNL raises it's rates as more liberals tune-in for "Trash Trump" episodes.. Not surprising, major companies buying SNL lives are Big Pharma ads for depression medications, and Amazon (Jeff Bezos) and Geico (Warren Buffet).. both very outspoken 'Trumpophiles' I guess Big Pharma recognizes the audience SNL attracts, and since I need/want none of hose "meds", I cannot go after them, but I can boycott Amazon and Geico.. there are plenty of other options that we can turn to...

I'm gonna cancel my doctor's appointment this week. After overdosing on sugar from Hallmark movies, I'm sure the sugar intake has pushed me into the diabetes area.

Michael Cohen...good grief ..how does a man who plea bargains for less jail time for lying then claim someone else is lying?

---
It hit me yesterday why liberal Democrat women are so anti-Christian and against prayer in schools.. they are mad at God for sending us HIS son rather than a daughter.

Franklin Graham pretty much shut Apple's Tim Cook DOWN. Cook (who’s openly gay and supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, defended his company’s banning of certain speech or news media on Apple’s platforms when they “violate the values of the company.” He said that not banning what is “wrong” is irresponsible and “a sin.”) stated that Apple would shut down contrary opinions to what he/Apple feel are are right. Graham simply said, "Who defines morality?" Then he followed: "Responding directly to Cook in a Facebook post, Franklin Graham asked the question, “Who defines Morality?” And Graham reminded his followers that Cook’s comments “should concern all of us.” * “The only thing is, as sinful human beings, we don’t get to define morality or sin according to our own desires, preferences, or agendas,” Graham pointed out. “Tim Cook can’t; I can’t; and you can’t. * “Sin and morality has been defined by the God of the universe. God and God alone. God’s Word, the Bible, is the standard by which questions of good and evil, and right and wrong, are determined,” Graham continued. * “We run into all kinds of problems if Apple or Google or anyone else tries to censor according to their own personal code of right and wrong. That was the problem among God’s people a thousand years before Christ appeared, as the Old Testament Book of Judges drew to a close: “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25),” he concluded."

Why do we have so many schools here in Columbus that have too small enrollments to help grads to meld into larger college populations (or into real life if not going to college). We should ask our MCSB to look into establishing just 5 high schools...one in each quadrant, and 1 centrally located. School enrollments of about 2,000 would prepare students better for life following high school.

Hopefully, before the MCSD decides to spend MILLIONs of dollars on replacing existing high schools. (others too), it will look into a new plan for serving student and taxpayers needs. For out high schools, I suggest the city be divided into population quadrants with one high school being built in a central spot in each quadrant, and a 5th one - perhaps a central magnet school - built in the center of the other 4 quadrants serving all of Columbus by application. Separate plans could be drawn up for the elementary and middle schools as well. .. maybe 4 large enough to be efficient in each quad plus a central site for elementary schools, and two middle schools per quadrant and a central site as well.

Healthcare is back in the news...now, properly, it has been ruled unconstitutional as it always has been in spite of Judge Roberts' opinion. Now, to get something good out of this opportunity, individual Democrats will have consider what's good for America rather than what Pelosi and Schumer want to elevate their own egos.

From the "grasping at straws California feels are plastic" department - Online headline: "Biden team considering Beto O’Rourke as 2020 running mate" -- Talk about trial balloons that won't get off the ground..to begin with.. Biden would have to beat Beto in he primaries to win the nomination to be able to PICK his VP choice, but the reality is Biden cannot beat Beto, and Beto wouldn't pick Biden....

From the "all channels boycott" department - Online story: Stoney Westmoreland, 48, who appears on the Disney Channel series “Andi Mack” as granddad  Henry (Ham) Mack was arrested in Utah on Friday after he allegedly booked a car to meet what he thought was a 13-year-old for sex. * Westmoreland was in Salt Lake City to film the show — which centers around a 13-year-old girl and her friends. The set is at a middle school in the area according to the Internet Movie Database. * He got in contact with an undercover cop posing as a child on a dating app, sent pornographic pictures and asked for snaps back, police said. * Westmoreland has had roles in TV shows such as “Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul” and “CSI: Miami.”" -- His most recent stuff *(other than a 2018 movie, "The Strivers") are above, but here's his IMBD website with a full list to block/boycott:

M/C L-E headline/story: "Woman identified in Macon Road collision that left one dead, one injured" -- At the Jenkins Road intersection... Hey.. isn't this at one of those redesigned intersections that are suppose to be safer.. guess we'll see a {roundabout" there next year..?

Was watching Fox News and one of the anchor women was talking about the latest sexual harassment stories about Les Moonves...you couldn't help but notice...and feel the hypocrisy as she wore a dress with a "keyhole" opening spotlighting her decolletage...

What an inviting picture Columbus paints for visitors and industry scouts as they drive around Columbus..If they drive on Veterans Parkway from River Road to 13th St downtown, they get an eyeful of 19 businesses with barbed and/or razor wire, dozens and dozens port-a-potties galore, and an open trash processing business, and if they drive down 2nd Ave, it's on one of our worst maintained roads, a GA Power Company Eye-Sore, a horrid railroad crossing, and the homeless hangout. Maybe the 2019 Council will try to make a difference... BUT.... Of course, now we now have a pedestrian bridge over Victory Drive...

From the " the check your ego in the locker room" department - Was watching the Father-Son Golf from Orlando, and as Jack Nicklaus... THE Jack Nicklaus... addressed a sand shot, the announcer was giving us advice on how he should play it. Good grief..I think I'd be watching the Bear and hope I'd learn something!

You know.. commentary has become warped in the expression by liberals.. no longer is analyzing "what is" sufficient for liberals,, they seem to feel they need to express what they "want" versus the reality of "what is and what's right".

---
From the "I wish it was a District 9 judge" department - U.S. federal judge rules Obamacare unconstitutional" -- Personally, I'd rather see ObamaCRAP die on it's own.. as it is doing, since the "fine" has been stripped out for not buying it, but I'm real curious as to how Chief Justice Roberts will re-examine his own previous position since the "fine" has been removed.

---
From the "please, don't make me laugh" department - Online headline/story: "Chief Justice of California Supreme Court quits GOP over Kavanaugh" -- GOP? Gimme a break! A California Republican is a dictionary example of an oxymoron. Chief Justice of California Tani Cantil-Sakauye was appointed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who's mother-in-law was the sister of Jack, Bobby, and Ted Kennedy..

What else could Mueller say about Gen Flynn...that he coerced him to plead guilty to lying because he was going to ruin Flynn and his family if he didn't say what he wanted him to say?

---
What are car dealers thinking? I got a mailer from one bragging about its "one price for all" policy.. "LOW PRICE, NO PRESSURE" it proclaims...I would add, "NO FUN!"... and "NO SALE!" either. Why do dealers feel customers are happier getting the same price everyone else pays versus a "good deal"?

While there are a few male Democrat spinmeisters ranting off merciless vitriol about Trump's successes, most of the rangers are women..but they all fit into one category.."Toad Rage".

After listening to Diane Feinstein's obvious lack of comprehension about the circumstances concerning the unfortunate death of a little Guatemalan girl who became dangerously dehydrated by the actions of her parent/guardian, there's no doubt we need "the Wall", and we need it NOW!

From the "Anybody see this in any MSM-13 outlets?" department - Online story: "President Donald Trump took a big step to help disenfranchised communities this week with an executive order. * The president signed an executive order Wednesday to bolster the already existent Opportunity Zones established via the GOP tax bill in 2017. * The mainstream media did not provide much coverage of the event that focused on Trump’s work to help minority communities. Unlike some of his executive orders, this one did not air on C-SPAN or on most of the cable news outlets." -- Hmmm.. guess, MSM-13 couldn't come up with a common negative sound bite to push as "Fake News".

You know, I hope the new Mayor and Council make a New Years Resolution to take care of unfinished street and park repairs, and fill empty jobs within the CPD left by the last mayor.

---
From the "now we know" department - You know, we wondered why former House Speaker John Boehner was so emotionally quick to break out in tears so often.. now we're hearing John Boehner is an expert on deciding which cannabis stocks to invest in...we wonder no more.

---
So Flake and Kasich are floating balloons about running against Trump for the Republican spot in the 2020 Presidential race. You know, they'd have a lot better chance running in the Democratic Primaries. Of course, they won't win there either.

Soapbox Moment: We are having too many "jury fails" in capital crime case here in Columbus! Another jury just released another probable killer, because another "charged with another killing" witness refused to testify. It's not the first time, nor will it be the last.. We've also had "jury fails" for cases where a person was shot and killed but the jury decided that the dead person was not the intended target, so the shooter didn't commit murder, and the mixed verdicts concerning the brutal murder of three generations of a family in Upatoi. Our jury system needs an overhaul! I remember the last jury call I got.. I was so disappointed at the number of "strikes" the defense and prosecutors got.. There's not much incentive for defense lawyers to "accept a plea bargain until AFTER the jury selection process. I experienced this last year when I was on Jury Call.. It wasn't until after a jury was chosen that the defense lawyer took the plea bargain.. because, I believe, the jury selected was not going to be easily swayed with a "social ills" defense. So, why not make reasonable changes in the jury selection process? I suggest once the complete pool of jurors have been questioned about whether or not they know or are related to, go to church with, are social with, or do business with any of the victims, perpetrators, or witnesses, that those who are be isolated, then the defense and prosecutors be given 2 "jury strikes", and the first 12 people available be seated as the jury panel. There'd be no room for lawyers to "cherry pick" jurors by whether they could be more easily swayed to find for their side.

---
You know.. this recent local "jury fail" in a Columbus shooting case highlights the enigma Columbus faces.. the neighborhoods will not cooperate with the Columbus Police Department when it tries to give them a safer neighborhood, but welcomes the CPD with open arms when they pass out Christmas gifts in the same neighborhoods...

Speaking of he number of jury fails in Columbus, GA felony cases, this makes my point that we need a better jury selecting process - M/C L-E headline/story: "Columbus dad found guilty of neglecting underweight triplets after judge replaces juror * After hearing testimony Tuesday and Wednesday and closing arguments Thursday morning, the jury started deliberating about 1:30 p.m. * They had deliberated about six hours when Land got a note Friday morning stating one juror had broken his oath, was not following the law, and was referencing information other than the law and the evidence * Asked about possible bias, he admitted wondering, “Is this something that really needed to be presented criminally? … I don’t know how other states do it.” * He acknowledged having been on Facebook during the trial, and having noted the “not guilty” verdict in a murder case being tried in another courtroom on the same Government Center floor as Adams’ trial. * Land afterward said he had “grave concerns” about Juror No. 12, because the man wasn’t saying the evidence was insufficient for a conviction, but instead had “a conscientious objection to the court system handling cases like this.” * That amounts to a jury’s negating the law by refusing to abide by it, Land said: “That’s jury nullification. It is contrary to what our entire system stands for.” -- This is a result of lawyers being able to "strike" good people to find... cherry pick" jurors they feel might be sympathetic to not following the judge's charges..

---
You know... It doesn't matter what Democrat spinmeisters "feel"..Michael Cohen was not tried in court and nor found guilty of anything..Cohen just plead out to avoid a court trial in exchange for Mueller dropping charges that would send him to jail even longer. And the judge did not rule on Cohen's guilt, either... the judge just decided the sentence based on what the prosecutor offered to get Cohen to say what the prosecutor wanted him to say.

Let's add another category to the Monday Questions list: Why doesn't the public have a description of the felon who assaulted the Fish House Gang member? Surely there may be details that trigger a "tip" to the police.

Online headline/story: "Ossoff strikes populist tone as he mulls Senate bid * Jon Ossoff’s bid for Georgia’s 6th District brought him to all corners of Atlanta suburbs, but late Thursday he arrived at a new setting: A crowded library meeting hall in deeply-conservative Habersham County. * The investigative journalist raised $30 million in last year’s special election for the U.S. House seat, which he lost to Republican Karen Handel. Ossoff is now considering another run for office, perhaps a challenge to U.S. Sen. David Perdue in 2020. * He added: “It’s because the people in charge are squandering the power and wealth entrusted in them to make our lives better.”" -- "investigative journalist"? Yeah.. about as much a "journalist" as Jamal Kashoggi was.. in fact, he didn't even live in the District he ran in. Speak about "squandering" $30-40 MILLION dollars! Hmmm.. with Ossoff and Abrams in the race, looks like Queen TT will be hard-pressed to at least come in 3rd in the state primary..

Online headline/story: "Dept. of Education to cancel $150 million in student loan debt * The U.S. Department of Education announced Thursday it would automatically cancel $150 million in student loans connected to for-profit colleges that closed in recent years. * The discharge of loans applies automatically to about 15,000 students who attended now-defunct colleges that closed between Nov. 1, 2013, and Dec. 4, 2018" -- Probably a good move to erase a real blight on the education system. Now, DeVos.. and Congress need to step up and make sure this cannot happen again. The solution will be to make "student loans" backed by the government only be issued to State universities/colleges, and only apply for two or four year curricula for career/professional degrees. For-profit businesses will just have to take their own risks on loans, and not being able to collect such loans if said businesses cannot find graduates jobs for which they were trained.

From the" another jury fail" department - Online headline/story: "Jury awards $25 million to mother of former Dallas Cowboys player killed in DUI crash
Brown was killed in the early morning hours of Dec. 8, 2012, when the driver flipped his Mercedes while going 110 mph in a 45 mph zone in Irving, Texas. * A Texas jury on Thursday awarded $25 million to the mother of a Dallas Cowboys player who was killed in a drunk-driving crash in which his teammate and best friend was behind the wheel. * Jurors in Dallas ruled that Jerry Brown Jr.'s death in the 2012 accident was the fault of both his friend and teammate, Josh Brent, and a now-defunct nightclub, Beamers. Both Brent and the club with its management company were ordered to pay 48 percent of the judgment." -- Excuse me, but how can a jury award a parent of an adult an award based on decisions the adult child made?

Did you see the Homeland Security report on the increased arrests of illegal aliens in our country? Did you see how many crimes they've committed? How about the 900,000 pounds (that's 45 TONS) confiscated ready IN America, in addition to the 1,300,000 pounds confiscated at the border before it's brought into our country? Build the WALL! Trump 2020!

Hmmm.. can anyone tell us what the construction on the "wedge" being built at the corner of Wynnton and Forest Avenue is going to be... my guess is another $244,000.00 Queen TT Lounge..

L-E headline/story: "Two dead after scooter struck on Macon Road * The second of two people who were aboard a motor scooter struck from behind by a small sport-utility vehicle on Macon Road, or U.S. 80, has succumbed to his injuries at a Columbus hospital. * on Macon Road just past the Jenkins Road intersection" -- While it may not be relevant (we have no clue from the L-E report), that intersection is one the GA DOT decided that rearranging the turn lanes so that vehicles from Jenkins Rd would have to stop and make a u-turn in front of hiway speed vehicles in order to head in the opposite direction would be safer.
