Trump is right to bring our soldiers home from Syria...Even with America's available "fire power", 2,000 soldiers in a dangerous foreign situation pales to the number of Border Patrol Agents (21,000+) here at home. This is a job for the UN working with Syria.

Trump 2020! Praise him for standing up for America's future by not signing the continuing resolution bill that didn't allow any funds for "the Wall". And this time, no voice votes! America should know who loves America....and which Democrats just want to kiss Schumer's rear. What sick teens we have that stand ready before an incident happens ready to video the action rather than stepping in to help a fellow human being.. Oh... and as for the "blond" girl mention,, I've never seen a girl of Nordic descent with long dark roots...

I love what I'm seeing with American patriots stepping up to donate to "Build the Wall", but I'm not sold that doing it through "GoFundMe" is effective for anybody but the "GoFundMe" principles. Soapbox Moment: You know, the FMOC (a.k.a. "the Fed") has reins on our economy.. it's purpose is to keep inflationary pressure from building up by tightening money supply.. of course, if the "Fed" tightens the reins too early, it does damage to a growing economy. After years at keeping rates at "zero" for Obama, the "Fed" has raised rates 4 times this year..and inflation is not an issue... but the higher interest rates pretty much punch car and home buyer and sellers in the gut.. Two examples: on a $200,000.00 mortgage, house payments on a 3%, 30 year mortgage would be about $843.00 but the same $200,000 30 year mortgage at 6% would be about $1,200.00 .. Second example : Saw a Toyota presented on a Fox and Friends segment yesterday saying the base model Camry ($23,645.00) could be had for 36 months at a $219.00 lease rate, yet if you are "squeaky clean credit wise to be able to lease), a 4 year purchase at 0% would give you payments at $493, and at more likely interest rate payment at 10% would make your payments $600.00. This does not calculate what the slow downs in sales of cars and homes does to the economy and job markets.. The "Fed" can kill a country's growth and momentum quicker than any war..

Rode by Columbus High to see the new wrestling/cheer practice facility progress..I was caught off guard...it's even worse than I had imagined possible..it looks like a prison guard tower designed by the Animal House fraternity who redesigned Flounder's uncle's Lincoln into the Deathmobile.

 

Speaking of Columbus High, not only is the new wrestling/cheer building going to ruin the outfield fence configuration, the whole field has been dug up for some sort of renovations ...where'd that money come from..it was announced earlier this year that ALL the various SPLOST 2015 funds for baseball improvements were being re-assigned to fund major overhauls at Jordan and Kendrick.

I hope the injured and families of the dead sue the hell out of Brown.. personally as well as for "malfeasance in office".

In Columbus, we just had a criminal case tried in Federal Court, and the convicted got a stiffer sentence than he would have gotten in a Superior Court trial...the defendant's lawyer tried to "save face" by complaining about this fact, "The fact that his case was moved into federal court added additional time to Walker's sentence, said his defense attorney Jennifer Curry. * "The fact that he was a career offender caused the points to add up and that's what hurt him," Curry said. * Curry said Walker would have gotten less time to serve in the state courts." -- You know.. other than the possibility of another "jury fail" not happening because of better jury pool screening in the Federal Court, this should be a wake call to our standards in selecting local jury pools.. I've mentioned this in the past on several occasions, but this lawyer just confirmed why we have more crimes committed by recidivism than the community should be subjected to...

I cannot believe that Frank Myers and John Thomas leave the MCSB seemingly defeated by what they didn't accomplish.. they should be proud of creating a more open forum that has awaken Columbus parents and students that more can... and should.. be done.. both have thrown a stone into the water, yet neither will see the final effects of the last ripples still moving toward their goals.
