From the "please don't throw me in that there brier patch" department - Online headline/story: "Chiefs cut RB Kareem Hunt after TMZ releases video of him shoving and kicking woman * When action finally came, it was swift, including the Chiefs cutting Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing yards last season." -- You know, it doesn't really matter to the other 31 teams that Kansas City took corrective and absolute action... some of them have probably already contacted Hunt's agent with a better contract than he had with the Chiefs.

Online story: "Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on Friday responded to Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) calling on him to resign by attacking the lawmaker’s history of drinking. * “It’s hard for him to think straight from the bottom of a bottle,” Zinke wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “This is coming from a man who used nearly $50,000 in tax dollars as hush money to cover up his drunken and hostile behavior.” * Zinke is referring to a 2015 settlement that the House Employment Counsel paid to a Grijalva top staffer who accused the lawmaker of frequent drinking and creating a hostile work environment, as The Washington Times reported. * “[Grijalva] should resign and pay back the taxpayer for the hush money and the tens of thousands of dollars he forced my department to spend investigating unfounded allegations,” Zinke added. "-- Hmmm.. what Zinke should do is shut down a lane of a major road in Grijalva's District and post a sign that it will be fixed as soon as Grijalva repays the money he cost the taxpayers.

Have you seen the videos of the "caravan" of illegal aliens camped out on the Mexican side of the border? Unless you know better, you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference of illegal aliens encamped in Tijuana or San Francisco?

Weeks have now passed since the California fires were out of control.. yet not one new law has been offered that allows for proper/better maintenance of the forests nor the excessive undergrowth.

Online story: "Georgia voters with limited ability to speak English will be able to bring an interpreter of their choice to the polls, according to a settlement approved by a federal judge Thursday." -- You know, if a valid citizen and registered voter does not know ahead of time who is running and he/she plans to vote for, they probably shouldn't be voting.. but if there is am "interpreter" allowed into the "booth", then there ought to be only one particular booth at each precinct and it should be with an election official monitoring an audio/video monitor to make sure the "interpreter" does not influence the voter or "help" mark the ballot.

M/C L-E headline: "‘SOLID SOUTH’ SEEING A SHIFT * Midterms in region reveal marked urban, rural split" -- Good grief.. MSM-13 is trying so hard to make a lackluster Democrat mid-term election seem like a definitive trend! Facts are that in the House races, 5 uber-lib states had 500,000 more Democrat surplus votes than the 8.6 Million the Dems point out as an indicative "landslide result"..but in actuality, the other 45 states preferred Republican representatives. In fact, those 5 uber-lib states (CA, NY, IL, NJ,and MA have 102 Dem Representatives and only 18 Republican ones. One more point about GA's House election results.. the only "pick-up by the Dems was District 6 which was the highly targeted race Dems poured close to $40 MILLION in last year in a special election without success, and it will probably go back Republican in 2020 when a better Republican candidate runs. Oh.. and statewide in GA House races, Republicans took 52.2% versus Democrats getting but 47.7% so Democrats must find over 9% more voters to make any sort of dent in 2020.

M/C L-E headline/story: "Muscogee school board to have new leader * Mike Edmondson, who will be the District 2 representative Jan. 1, after Thomas didn’t run for re-election, won’t pursue the chairmanship now, but he is interested in eventually serving in that position. * “I think, given that I will be new to the board, that I should focus on my district, my expertise and working with the collective board,” he said. “At some future point, if it seemed a good idea, sure, I would not mind chairing." -- Edmondson's comment reveals the real problem an elected vs appointed school bard creates.. we have 8 specific districts that put specific district "wants" ahead of the overall system "needs".. What should happen is that the 8 specific District reps should be the voice of their district voters in making the overall system the best it can be, not just worrying about getting re-elected.

From the "mark this down on your calendars, and put website "link" on your "tool bar" or "favorites list" department: -- M/C L-E headline: "SIX COMIC EPISODES NAMED ‘GROUNDS’ * Playwright launches web series set in Columbus * BY NATALIA NAMAN TEMESGEN" -- Columbus is so fortunate to have Natalia Temesgen "back home"..we've seen her play "Ace: the Eugene Bullard Story", and now we are going to follow her future...

---
Online headline/story: "U.S., China declare 90-day halt to new tariffs, White House says * U.S. farmers have been hurt by reduced Chinese imports of soybeans and other products." -- You know.. if American farmers can produce all we need, and have reserves to feed the rest of the world... where else is China going to get what it needs.. Obviously, China cannot produce enough itself. so if I were a farmer, I think I'd raise my prices on exports upfront so I'd benefit from overseas sales.

---
From the "misplaced priorities" department - Online headline: "Amid #MeToo, radio station nixes 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'" -- Good grief...What's next, banning "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" because he couldn't play games with the other reindeer?

---
Online headline: "Photo of Pence with officer apparently wearing QAnon patch raises eyebrows" -- Hmmm.. I probably wouldn't have said anything either.. not knowing what it meant, I'd just assume the guy was Queer, very proud of it, had approval of his Commanding Officer, does his job well, and who am I or VP Pence to judge.

---
From the Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "How wrong is this, let me count the ways" department - Online headline: "Al Sharpton sells his life story rights for $531G — to his own charity" -- Good grief.. IRS should revoke the "501 (c) 3" status immediately and confiscate the money for back taxes

---
Good grief...the CBS announcers finally got to pronouncing Tua Tagovailoa's name properly. and he got taken off the field.

---
Normally, I would not have watched the TX-OK game but under the possibility OK might be considered for the playoffs, I did. I don' care what the results of the AL-GA, or Clemson-Pitt game are, OK is not worthy.

---
Online headline: "Democratic Socialist Ocasio-Cortez compares her election victory to moon landing". -- Well, maybe compared to the movie version, because there wasn't any US flag waving in the movie or her victory.

---
Excuse me, but why are the SEC headquarters located in Birmingham, AL? When was the last time a SEC team played in other than non-minor bowl game there? Of course, this makes one wonder, too, where the SEC Referees Headquarters are located.... Tuscaloosa?

---
If you are going to run a "fake punt", you do not "telegraph it to the other team ... Excuse me, but how many prior punts has Justin Fields ever been used for "blocking" in the backfield?

---
How can the sports analysts feel that Ohio State can be defined by last weeks Michigan game and this weeks Northwestern game versus the way O State has not shown up in so many other games this season?

From the "how many ways can the City and GA DOT waste OUR tax dollars!": department - M/C L-E headline/story: "Bottleneck on J.R. Allen Parkway gets closer look * Facing a traffic bottleneck on J.R. Allen Parkway from Bradley Park Drive into Phenix City, the city’s Planning Department won approval Tuesday for the Georgia Department of Transportation to conduct a $200,000 study on the roadway." -- "$200,000.00 study"? I can solve it for 2-cents.. It's Phenix City's and Alabama's PROBLEM! Just shut the bridge down on the GA side until "they" solve the exit problem.... and the solution involves 2 more lanes from the Bridge to 280 and a revamp of the interchange there. In other words, NOT OUR PROBLEM!

From Columbus Council Agenda: "An ordinance amending ordinance 98-30, 00-106, 01-29, and 08-69 for the readoption of the existing Enterprise Zone known as the Columbus Business Development Center for a 10-year period; and for other purposes. (Mayor Pro-Tem Evelyn Turner Pugh)" -- You know, with a new Mayor and a new Councilor coming on board in January, wouldn't it be better to have a 10-year extension approved by the new team?

---
From the "hypocrisy personified" department - M/C L-E commentary headline: " The Supreme Court jumps to unanimity on frog case * BY GEORGE WILL Washington Post Writers Group" - Good grief.. MSM-13 can applaud a unanimous SC decision limiting government overreach over concerning a small population of frogs, yet MSM-13 will fight against the 1st and 2nd Amendments for all Americans... fully well knowing that the 1st and 2nd Amendments are the two things that empower MSM-13 to exist.

You can argue until you are blue in the face about who is/was the worst president of the US, but two categories have a clear cut "winner"...LBJ is undoubtedly the most powerful evil president, and Slick Willie the most destructive...LBJ would never become a president except if Kennedy died, and Clinton sold our previously classified intercontinental ballistic missile and space launch technology to China.

---
With all the recent re-emergence of the scandals of Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Clinton's 26 documented flights aboard the "Lolita Express", don't you feel there are Secret Service agents that accompanied him or were 'ditched' by him that might be ready to talk?

---
from the "what judge in the US District 9 Court of Appeals will sign off on this" department - Online headline: "‘We will be fighting this.’ Day after suspension, Snipes rescinds resignation" -- Hmmm...and she probably wants a referendum on it so she can count the votes.

---
Online headline: "Obama aides say Beto O'Rourke reminds them of the ex-president. Obama agrees." -- I can see this..idea-less, inexperienced, and charming...

---
Online headline/story: "Democratic Rep. Joins Migrants in Tijuana, Slams Trump for Creating 'Humanitarian Crisis' * (Rep. Pramila) Jayapal (D-Wash), first vice chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, met with migrants who are seeking asylum in the United States. She told Politico on Friday that Trump is "lying about this caravan." --  Hmmm... I hope the border agents check her citizenship credentials very closely when she tries to get back in.

---
From the "setting the record straight" department - Online story: "When Barack Obama was President, the Border Patrol used tear gas on illegal aliens 79 times."

---
From the "obviously, she has no clue" department - Online headline/story: "ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ SAYS ALL AMERICANS SHOULD HAVE THE AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE SHE NOW GETS AS A CONGRESSWOMAN * "As a waitress, I had to pay more than TWICE what I’d pay as a member of Congress." -- She has no clue on what the costs of the Congressional Healthcare package actually costs the American taxpayers.. Why doesn't she insist on Congress using ObamaCRAP?

---
From the "if you have no proof or facts, bombard Trump with innuendo" department - Online headline/story: "Trump's threat to impose a 'chicken tax' on cars could cause a major mess for the US economy * Economists estimate that auto tariffs would result in a net loss of US jobs and be harmful to the US economy." -- " Could cause a major mess"? Good grief... GDP and Employment ACTUAL figures are the highest on many decades.. this is fact.. not propaganda.

---
From the "lips of Bruce Springsteen" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "Trump “has no interest in uniting the country, really, and actually has an interest in doing the opposite and dividing us, which he does on an almost daily basis,” the “Born to Run” singer told the magazine. “So that’s simply a crime against humanity, as far as I’m concerned.” -- No, Trump has no interest in allowing liberals... whether Dems or RINOs... to keep tearing down this country... and it's working.. as Trump could not have won without winning over enough Dem voters who recognized the dangers of Hellary, and Republican voters who recognized no other Republican candidate would have beat her. I'd call this "unity for America's future"!

---
From the "obviously warped liberal mind" department - M/C L-E headline:"Candidates vie to control elections, electricity costs" -- Good grief.. "vie to control"? It's sad. well. PATHETIC.. that liberalism.. supported by MSM-13.. looks at politics as a "control issue" rather than a "serve all the people issue".

---
M/C l-E headline/story: "Clogged sewer pipes shut down Government Center cafe for 2 days * The sewer pipes in the 47-year-old building were installed at 90-degree angles with many clumped together. * The same sewer pipes with the 90-degree angle wouldn’t meet codes now." -- "wouldn't meet codes now"? Hmmm and why did that meet codes back in the early 70's... it surely didn't meet the "code of common sense", for sure. Maybe Council should bar any more permits for local work from the main construction company (Batson-Cook, I believe - apology if not) until it either fixes this problem or pays for the "fixing" of this problem.
