It's here! Master's Week! Yes!
---
Hey, NCAA officials... I really never heard of a double-dribble being called for dribbling off one's foot, but kicking the ball with your foot.. accidentally or intentionally... was always a turnover when I played.
---
Online headline: "In Iowa, Bernie Sanders says states should allow felons to vote from behind bars" -- Well, I guess it's the culture Democrat politicians live in.. Dems feel other criminals should get to vote as well..
---
Sen Kamala Harris vowed to give America's 3,200,000 teachers a raise of $315 BILLION over 10 years...of course that's less than $1,000.00 per teacher per year. Hmmm..didn't PeLOUSY proclaim $1,000.00 bonuses/increases by the private sector in response to the Trump Tax reduction as "crumbs"?
---
Online headline: " M/C L-E "headLIE": "#MeToo founder Tarana Burke calls Biden's response 'disrespectful and inexcusable'-- Good grief.. the top two Democrats have the stirred up #MeToo and created #MooToo..
---
Online headline: "Obama worries that progressives risk creating ‘circular firing squad’" -- Yeah.. they've encircled Trump in the middle, and every time they shoot, Trump ducks, and the Demos are taking each other out.
---
I tell you what, if some states are allowing illegal immigrants to acquire driver's licenses, then those states should lose representation in Congress and votes cast in federal elections should not be counted!
---
Whatta finish to the inaugural Augusta National Amateur for women. Jennifer Kupcho not only finished 5-under par over the last 6 holes, she realized many moments of her youth as she rolled in a birdie putt on the 18th hole. And it probably wasn't the first time she did this. Every youthful golfer has stood over many putts on the putting clock visualizing their putt going in for a birdie on the 18th to win the Masters at Augusta National...only unlike boys that age, Jennifer never knew that one day she would actually have an opportunity to win a golf tournament at Augusta National...until this year.
---
Online headline: "Chairwoman Waters Introduces Bill to End Homelessness in America" -- Good grief.. she can't even do this in California! Maybe Maxine Waters will unlock the gate at her house and take in a few homeless illegal aliens to use the many empty bedrooms she has.. Maybe she will even move into the district she's elected to represent and get to know those homeless as well.
Speaking of ending homelessness, how is Columbus, GA's "End Homelessness in 10 Years" project doing? Yeah, right.
---
From a fellow BCer's observation: "Has anyone noticed that the MSM has gone ape over reporting the danger of avocados not coming across our southern border and seem to care less about all the fentanyl that is killing tens of thousands." -- Think about this,, Democrats are more concerned that they will miss an avocado on their salad versus parents missing their children who die from Fentanyl overdoses..
---
There have been a number of Hollywooder homes hitting the real estate market in the past year.. is it because of a political split of smarter Hollywoooders, or because the only way to avoid the higher California taxes is to move to another state?
---
Have you noticed that MSM-13 and Democrats only acknowledge the success of blacks if they are liberals, entertainers, pro-athletes, members of the Congressional Black Caucus, or Civil Rights lawyers? Successful black conservatives in business, politics, or journalism ate treated like crap..
---
I heard a TV political contributor refer to Senator Kamala Harris as "the only black female running for the Democrat presidential nomination... Excuse me, but when does being the child of a Jamaican father and a mother from India make a child "black"? I thought the left had learned a lot about wishful "feeling" when Elizabeth Warren was outed from her claim of being Native American, and Rachel Dolezal was fired as president of the Spokane, WA NAACP.
---
M/C L-E headline: "Teresa Tomlinson hopes to gain statewide appeal" -- She probably has even more to worry about from Columbus voters who know her all too well.
---
You know what is sad... no.. pathetic... about the M/C L-E's existence? Even though ex-mayor Tom-LYING-son hasn't actually thrown her pointed hat officially into the 2020 political arena, the Ledger-Enquirer has already given her more front page time than it did when Columbus's own Josh McKoon was running for the Secretary of State position.
---
M/C headline: "DC seems ready to discuss increase in federal gas tax" -- Good grief.. what really needs to be discussed ... and acted on... is eliminating the DC Swamp gas!
---
M/C L-E commentary headline/content: "Trump picks Haley for VP, a shift in 2020 strategy *
BY JOHN A. TURES * News out of Washington, D.C., that Mike Pence would not be on the ticket for the 2020 election stunned members of Congress, media personalities and pundits like myself. While Pence did say he would serve out the remainder of his term until January 2021, it was quite a blow to the conservative wing of the party." -- Good grief, we're certainly use to John Tures' lack of grasp of reality, the closest confirmation to self-proclaimed "pundit" Tures' claim is that even Snopes calls Tures' fake news "FALSE".

From the "List, list, everywhere a list" department - Hmmm this list designates the most and worst literacy level of the states.. while it's definitely arbitrary, on particular state stands out from all the rest for a particular reason... California at 44th worst
44. California
> Adults lacking basic prose literacy skills: 23.1% (the highest)
> Pct. adults with bachelor’s degree or higher: 32.9% (14th highest)
> Public libraries: 2.9 per 100,000 (2nd lowest)
> Registered library users: 57.4% of pop. (15th highest)
The stat that draws special attention is the 2.9 per 100,000 population (that's less than 400 for the 39,500,000 people residing there... Combined with the number of people with Library Cards 57.4% of the population.. we probably can assume that having a Library Card is a part of the voter registration process if you don't have a driver's license, social security card or other California ID card.
Another interesting comparison is with California is Vermont. Vermont is Number 1 on this list:
1. Vermont
> Adults lacking basic prose literacy skills: 6.6% (4th lowest)
> Pct. adults with bachelor’s degree or higher: 36.4% (8th highest)
> Public libraries: 29.8 per 100,000 (the highest)
> Registered library users: 54.2% of pop. (23rd highest)
Note that Vermont has the HIGHEST percentage of libraries to population, yet it's registered library users is less than California's..

Having read that the River Walk was "complete", I went down to the RiverWalk Friday .. I guess you can say the River Walk is complete .. even though parts of it are blocked off from use. I went to see if I could find the Queen TT Lounge.. since it was built at a cost of $244,000.00, one would think there'd be signs.. even lit signs.. pointing it out as a tourist attraction, but, no, it's stashed away under the Pedestrian Bridge.. and as was speculated, closed.. I mean shut down with locked roller service doors. One question really jump to my mind.. since it opened over 3 years and one-half years ago (about 1337 days), exactly how many days has it actually been opened for public use?
---
You know, since ex-Mayor, Queen TT Tom-LYING-son has throw her pointed hat into the next Senator's race, why doesn't the City rent out the Queen TT lounge to her as her campaign headquarters.. I can see it now with campaign slogans attached.. "Tomlinson for US Sanitor" - "The Crap stops up here" - "Flush Away GA's Future".

Wow.. being intrigued at the dynamics of the Train Depot's current status as not only the home of Pope, McGlamry et al, and also the Chamber of Commerce is still there, too. My first intrigue was wondering where the Chamber was located now since the building was sold, then finding it was still located there. The second intrigue was learning that after the sale (and at loss of over $865,000.00 to the taxpayers), the property was reassigned an even lower Fair Market Value of $880,858.00 which meant the City (us) gets over $10,000.00 LESS in property tax revenues PER YEAR! Intrigued even further was that the new owner is Columbus Depot, LLC., and I first assumed that it was owned by some or all of the Pope, McGlamry law partners, but when I check the GA Corporate Registration, I found that the registered agent (lawyer fronting for owners) was a lawyer from another competing law firm, Hall, Booth,Smith. Does anyone reading this know who the principles are in Columbus Depot, LLC? I cannot imagine Pope, McGlamry lawyers using another law firm to shield themselves.. Hey Council.. will someone please answer this for me so I don't have to come down there in person?

Ah! March Madness finally ends tonight..wait a minute..it's April 8th...March ended Sunday a week ago...
---
Have we gotten a financial report concerning the revenues the City collected in 2018 from Whitewater Express? I don't recall, but I remember past years when the reports were quite celebratory. Oh, and how do our revenues compare to Phenix City's?
---
Got asked a question the other day about why I brought up some "recent old news"... it was about a multi-department raid at the Pain Center in north Columbus that got no media follow up. I revisit such stories when it seems like local media obviously doesn't want to touch them.
---
When is John Brennan going to receive his just desserts for his unwarranted claims of knowing evidence that Trump was guilty of collusion...a good start would be eliminate his access to any classified files. The man has clearly demonstrated his ineptitude at being trusted.
---
Since you may not get this news if you get your news from MSM-13 sources, March jobs increased another 196,000, and the first time unemployment claims came in at a 50 year low.. In fact, 7 of the Democrat candidates for president are now living in a record low unemployment claim for their entire lives! This is what is Making America Great Again! Trump 2020!!
---
From the "whatta wuss!" department - Online headline: "Pete Buttigieg now regrets saying ‘All Lives Matter’ -- Good grief! Does Pete Butt-gig even realize that he's apologized for himself not mattering?
---
Online headline: "Man pretending to be Timmothy Pitzen may face criminal charges: children's safety advocate Francey Hakes" -- Good grief.. and yet Shicago's State Attorney whitewashed the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax! Sure. we all feel sad for Timmothy Pitzen's family, but we were ALL effected more by the mishandling of a hate crime that will never ever go away!
---
M/C L-E "headLIE": "Biden’s hugging steals attention from 2020 candidates" -- Wrong! MSM-13's focus on Creepy Joe has stolen the attention away from those who were "creeped out" by Biden!
---
Online headline: "Michelle Wolf zings Trump over WH correspondents’ dinner" -- So Michelle Wolf feels President Trump can't take a joke... hmmm seems to me that god humor is based on truth.. and the truth is, that no one wants to take any more of a "Wolf" in cheap clothing's bleeps anymore.
---
As a whole, GA ranked 17th in Firearm deaths per 100,000 people.. If you parse that down separating suicides from homicides, GA had 653 gun homicides.. or 6.2 gun homicides per 100,000. On the other hand, Columbus had 34 (I believe) gun homicides in 2018, and with a dwindling population at about 190.000 (https://suburbanstats.org/population/georgia/how-many-people-live-in-columbus), Columbus d 17.9 gun homicides per 100,000.. somebody please NAIL these numbers/facts to the front page of Sanitor-wannabe Tom-LYING-son's campaign website. Columbus has almost 3-times as many gun homicides  per 100,000 as the rest of GA.

From the "US Supreme Court .. here I come" department - Online headline/story: "Notre Dame women’s basketball coach explains why she will stop hiring men * n a recent interview with Think Progress, the 63-year-old Hall of Fame coach, said she would never hire another male assistant coach and believed women can do more to help each other * McGraw has had an all-female staff for the past seven years." -- Good grief! Does she feel she is grooming herself to be chosen to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg ? Tell you what, if my daughter were being recruited, Notre Dame is out! I would want her to be in an environment that those chosen to mentor her were the best available.. not just because they weren't men. Notre Dame should replace her.. now.. with the best coach they can find.. male or female..
Baylor won the NCAA Championship over Notre Dame...Poetically, while Baylor's head coach was a woman, her assistant head coach was a man..
---
Good grief headline: "States move to require presidential candidate tax returns" -- State's nor Congress have no standing over federal election requirements, and the requirements to run for President are spelled out in the US Constitution, and there's nothing about tax forms being shown in there. Just a simple.. (as in simple-minded) Democrat grandstand maneuver.

---
From the "look what I stumbled over" department -- Would you believe that a "dart" player in England has more career earnings than the highest career earning Bowler in the US? Phil Taylor has earned £7,634,754 ($9,925,000.00 American) while Walter Ray Williams, Jr has earned $4,787,224.00.
---
M/C L-E headline: "Homeland Security chief resigns" -- Trump is replacing the Secretary of Homeland Defense and his nominee for head of the Border Patrol.. MSM-13 will claim Trump can't keep help.. the truth is Trump doesn't settle for less than great results.. Compare that with Obama keeping Comey, Hellary, Holder and Lynch way too long on the taxpayer teat.

---
Another M/C L-E trip into Fairy Tales and Fantasy Land: - Headline/story: "Pelosi to be awarded 2019 JFK Profile in Courage Award * House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been named the recipient of the 2019 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. * Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of the late president, said in a statement Sunday that the California Democrat is “the most important woman in American political history.” -- "the most important woman in American political history"? Wow! A Kennedy has just alienated every black, white, Latino and Asian women in the US.. if not the world! I guess we will see a sequel from Hellary..
"I know what really happened to Mary Jo Kopechne and Where the other gun is buried in Dealy Plaza".
