Democrat candidate Tom Steyer has more than being a billionaire working against him within the Democratic Party hierarchy. At first I thought the DNC was against him because he's using HIS money to run versus giving it TO the DNC, but even worse is Steyer is advertising for TERM LIMITS... and in the House, 66 of the 100 longest elected members are DEMOCRATS. Guess that clears up why the government is so inefficient.

Pray for Georgia Congressman John Lewis.

Online headline: "Jewish leaders urge action after 'senseless' attack" -- Good grief.. Anti-Antisemitism/anti-Israeli sentiment is openly TOLERATED... practiced.. within the Democratic Party, and yet the majority of American Jews vote FOR Democrats.. HOW? WHY!

Online headline/story: "Ari Behn dies at 47, marking third death this year of Kevin Spacey accusers * Author Ari Behn has died, marking the third passing in 2019 of a person who publicly accused actor Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct or assault. * The 47-year-old, who was previously married to Norwegian princess Martha Louise, died by suicide on Christmas Day" -- OK.. I gotta... well.. gonna... ask... anybody know what the relationship of Spacey and the Clintons is/was?

Tom Burdett might want to rethink Motel 6 "keeping the light on for you"...at least at the one on Veterans Parkway.. they light up 4 rat traps on the Veterans Parkway side.

Lights! Cameras! Action! Who says old and new can not complement each other? Here's a picture of the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church of Columbus (built in 1859) adapted to the 21st Century

I really don't understand why Burger King is promoting a fried plant over it's signature burger...if I wanted a fried "meat" salad, I'd go to Chick-fil-A.

From the "why is it?" department - Have you noticed how often in stories of the Biden/Ukraine issue the following statement is included:

"No evidence of wrongdoing has been found by either Joe or Hunter Biden in the matter."?

Excuse me, but when has an investigation of the Biden's ever been conducted in public?

---
You know, there couldn't be any impeachment charges if Joe Biden had simply been Law Abiding.

---
After watching Joe Burrow's 1st Half against Oklahoma, I think the Heisman Award should be retired in his honor..what quarterback will ever be able to equal Burrow's stats.

---
From the "shades of Prince Andrew" department - Online headline: "Hunter Biden, wife missing from Biden family Christmas photo posted on Twitter" -- Hey.. Creepy Joe.. thought you said you trusted Hunter...

Online headline/story: "Judge orders government to make changes to terror watch list * The Council on American-Islamic Relations had asked Judge Trenga to order specific, sweeping changes to the way the government places names on the list and providing a meaningful opportunity for those wrongly included to clear their names. * Instead, Trenga simply told the government to craft its own remedies to bring the list into compliance and to submit those proposals to him for review. * Trenga ordered the government to provide him a status report on its proposed revisions by early February. -- Hmm.. and the first changes I'd make would be to add the FBI Administration to the list, and prohibit any future Democratic Party President from being able to appoint an Attorney General or FBI Director.

Well, after getting excited at the possibility of getting something done over a pop-up eyesore at the Veterans Parkway and Double Churches Road intersection. a personal trip revealed my hopes were overblown a bit.. the advertising vehicle is still entrenched on public right-of-way..

---
Columbus Ledger-Enquirer headline: "Confederate group moving rebel flag suit to state court" -- I can say I've never owned a Confederate Flag, and the only flags I've ever flown at my homes have been either been the US National Flag or a flag of my wife's college (during football season but I object to what the City has done.. the City has basically desecrated a grave site.. this is even worse that when a grave site was created at a site that showed no evidence of any burials ever taking place on said site.

You know.. we saw "targeting" penalties inflicted in both of the Playoff games on Saturday.. and replays confirmed the acts of violence of obviously lowering their heads to use the crown of their helmets as weapons. What we didn't see was any remorse of the two players charged, Fittingly, neither of their teams "won" so they won't play in the Championship game, but their teams should remember that it was their own teammate's action that weakened their team, and may be the reason they did not win and advance..

What does Bernie know about working! He's been on the government test all his life, and doesn't feel billionaires...who create jobs, payrolls, and tax revenue streams...deserve to reap the rewards for superior efforts. Face it Bernie, billionaires ARE FUNDING YOU.. hey are providing the jobs.. and the disposable income your donors are sending you.

---
Good grief! A Michigan State defensive tackle caught a tipped pass and scored from the 6..and a referee called an "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalty because he celebrated by taking his helmet off and waved at the fans. This was an All John Madden Team highlight film clip. I believe if I was the Wake Forest coach. I'd have REFUSED the 15 yard penalty.

Online headline/story: "Tom Brokaw apologizes for 1996 reporting on Richard Jewell * Veteran news anchor Tom Brokaw issued a pair of tweets on Christmas apologizing for his reporting on Richard Jewell during the aftermath of the 1996 Atlanta bombing. * “24 hours after the bombing I talked at length with a Sr FBI official - who did not wave me off jewel [sic] as a suspect,” Mr. Brokaw, 79, wrote. “I reported that and speculated why, but my last line was for now he’s just a person of interest. When the truth emerged I apologized. * “NBC made a substantial $ payment to the family without going through contentious negotiation,” he added. “Richard and his mother went through a painful time which I deeply regret. I hope we all learned a lesson, including the FBI which was my principal source.” -- Obviously, neither he, nor NBC nor the FBI (under Democrat Presidents) have learned any lessons, Guess, also, it'll be in the 2036-2044 before he apologizes about his reporting about Trump.

Even if it's basically about Socialism vs Capitalism, I can understand, to a point, why Democrats are so aggressive in their quest to control government spending. It's that power over other people that drives them. On the other hand, I cannot understand the motivation of mainstream media to support the Democrats...if Socialism ever becomes the rule of government, the protection of the media by our Constitution will no longer guarantee the freedom of the press.

Columbus Ledger-Enquirer story: "Inmate homicides are on the rise in Alabama’s prisons despite a national spotlight on its corrections system and an acknowledgement of the state’s crisis behind bars, according to numbers from the Alabama Department of Corrections. * Prison system statistics show 11 inmate-on-inmate homicides in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30." -- You know, there was a time we didn't have so many inmate-on-inmate homicides... that was when violent felons were locked up in solitary.. and the key "thrown away". Of course, them liberalism raised it's "Medusa" head (full of snakes), and demanded such prisoners be given rights to roam around...

You know, Queen PeLOUSY cal-BagLady has really bit off more than she can chew. Holding up sending the House's impeachment charges has already exposed her to her own charges of "quid pro quo" and "obstruction of Congress", but her snub of the US Supreme Court having an equal position with the Executive and Legislative Divisions, and denying the US Senate being equal with the House have really been her downfall.

Online story: "The Georgia Public Service Commission on Thursday approved an increase for pipeline company Atlanta Gas Light, whose charges appear as a line item in the monthly customer bills of more than a dozen natural gas marketers. Typical residential customers will see a $2.54 monthly increase, or just over $30 a year, and about a 4% increase in the average total gas bill, according to AGL.The decision came just two days after members of the PSC voted 4-1 to let Georgia Power charge its electricity customers higher rates and fees, which could boost bills for average residential customers by more than $175 a year. Both Georgia Power and AGL are owned by Atlanta-based Southern Company." -- It must be nice that the Southern Company, parent of GA Power and Atlanta Gas Light only has to successfully "wine and dine" 3 members of the Public Service Commission to stick it to Millions of Georgians!

Hmm.. 2019 is about over but we still don't know what the salary/duties of "our" Deputy Mayor are, nor the site where Chase Homes will be rebuilt, nor a single site that citizens of Columbus.. and Councilors can find ALL the pertinent info regarding the purchase of the Virginia College building..so much more of that info has trickled out to make it a possible poor decision for the taxpayers ... and users of the Columbus Health Department.

---
From the "Bias? What bias?" department - Online story: "Two men have been removed from the (Alabama) Army National Guard after activists revealed that they are members of a religious group with ties to white supremacy." -- Hmmm... why is the word "religion" used to loosely by MSM-13? Judeo-Christian based religions certainly don't exclude anyone from seeking Christ, so what "religion" is "The Hill" talking about... Wicca, Islam, Atheism?

---
From the "don't laugh... we're getting there!" department - Columbus L-E headline/story: "Baltimore breaks city record for killings per capita * Baltimore broke its annual per capita homicide record after reaching 342 killings Friday. * With just over 600,000 residents, the city hit a historically high homicide rate of about 57 per 100,000" -- Hmmm... well with Columbus (GA) (194,000 pop) having 21.13 per 100K, and neighboring Russell County (AL) (57,000 pop) having 35.1 per 100K, we're getting there!

---
From a Columbus L-E story: So Biden will defy any subpoena to testify in the Senate because "it's all designed to deal with Trump doing what he's done his whole life: Trying to take the focus off him...The Issue is not what I did" -- Excuse me? The WHOLE ISSUE revolves around what Creepy Joe BIDEN did to thwart an investigation into his son's activities and Biden's "quid pro quo" demand!

Seems like an ugly situation has reared it's head for state "legally" selling marijuana.. people from other states are buying it and illegally taking it across state lines to their homes. Question: Since this is a "state-by-state" issue, why were conditions such as buyers must be residents of the state that sells to them?

---
From the "liberalism at it's worst" department - Columbus Ledger-Enquirer headline/story: "States charge more for electric cars as new laws take effect * The new year will bring new charges for some owners of electric vehicles, as an increasing number of states seek to plug in to fresh revenue sources to offset forgone gas taxes. * Though electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles comprised less than 2% of new vehicle sales in 2018, their market share is projected to rise substantially in the coming decade. State officials hope the new fees will make up for at least part of the lost gas tax revenue that is essential to their road and bridge programs." -- Good grief! It's not as if states don't already have sales taxes on the electric of propane fuel consumers already pay, liberals are now wanting to "bully" the 2% of owners by charging them ..AGAIN.. for being conscientious about their environment.. well.. maybe it's certain consumers trying to appear conscientious about it. Either way.. owners of electric vehicles will already be paying more sales taxes on their utility bills when they recharge their batteries!
