Some Michigan State Senator wore a face mask his wife made that looked pretty much like a take-off of the Confederate Battle Flag.. That was stupid... but he was even more stupid when he claimed it looked more like the KY or TV State Flag.. Obviously, he hasn't sen either of hose flags.. He may have fared better had he mentioned it did sorta resemble Bill Clinton's home state of Arkansas, but it would have still been stupid. I'd been offended if he wore a mask  depicting our US National Flag as well, as he shouldn't display a US Flag with the intent to soil it..

From the "Letters" department - Columbus L-E printed a letter concerning 2 Mark Rice stories this week.. The letter writer mentioned on 1 of the stories though.. one about the Pacelli Graduation plans.. The other story got no mention.. I imagine it was about the MCSD high school rankings.. I'm injecting my take on that: "I'm trying to digest why the L-E reported the three worst performing MCSD high schools on one line and a "range" of numbers which included the worst of schools in GA and the nation. I could be wrong but it appears Spencer has staked out both bottom numbers. Not only is it an embarrassment to taxpayers considering the amount of money spent on a new school building isn't even needed to serve the number of students of high school age in Columbus, but it's even more embarrassing to the legacy of a pioneer educator in Columbus, and the MCSD and Ledger-Enquirer were trying to hope no one noticed. SHAME SHAME SHAME!

Has anyone seen a total of his compensation for doing so?

What bias?" department - On this date in 1982. the trial of John Hinckley, Jr., who shot four people, including the President Reagan, began in Washington. (The trial ended with Hinckley's acquittal by reason of insanity.) -- Hmm.. so MSM-13 put Reagan being shot as secondary to the other 4 people shot.. but the real issue is why the venue wasn't changed.. who could expect a jury pulled in Washington, DC , with it's history of voting 85%-90% against Republican Presidents, to find an assassin attempt against a Republican President to be a convictable crime?

Even in the SEC, the NFL Draft disclosed the inequity of divisions.. the WEST had 38 picks, and the East had but 25.. Maybe there needs to be more inter-division scheduling East Conference records would be more reflective of the West's dominance.. Of course, I can see EVERY East Conference team rushing to sign up games with Ole Miss.. Ole Miss had ZERO players picked in the 2020 draft.
