Backtracking a little.. I now see that Columbus's Council 4 runoff is not until Aug 11th, not July 9th.. Aren't runoffs generally done 4 weeks after the general elections? Oh,, early voting started on July 20th...you know, no matter what the results are, it's a real waste of $50,000.00 in tax dollars that could have been used for the betterment of our City.

Just a few weeks ago, hey had 60 players "try-out" for the 40 roster spots (only 30 suit up for games) so they should have been able to bring 15 players up to fill in their roster to game level strength.

History... it's a strange happening under the best of conditions.. it's primarily an account of an event through the eyes of the victorious which is then tempered with feedback from the vanquished.. It is more accurate in the first 10-20 years than later on when a later generation re-parses it looking for an angle to reflect their own point of view. You know, a couple of years ago, Council had a forensic audit of the Clerk of Council, and too many things were found "amiss" and the Chief Clerk was terminated..other audits were promised but we haven't seen any results.. You would think with the slowdowns in public foot traffic , the last 5 or 6 months would have been a great opportunity to get all of the departments audited.
You know, a couple of years ago, Council had a forensic audit of the Clerk of Council, and too many things were found "amiss" and the Chief Clerk was terminated..other audits were promised but we haven't seen any results.. You would think with the slowdowns in public foot traffic , the last 5 or 6 months would have been a great opportunity to get all of the departments audited.
This has got me thinking , too, that when the Chief Clerk was terminated, she was replaced by another employee from within that department. You know, if Council can do that from a troubled department, why can't they replace our Fire/EMS Chief, our Water Works CEO, and eventually, our Chief of Police from within as well?

Update time for abortions and Covid-19 deaths:
Looks like this morning's count for killed babies is 25, 092,000 while last week it was 24,271,000... so 821,000 babies were killed this passed week.. For deaths associated with
Covid-19 claims, another 693,587 died .. last Monday's figure was 652,872 so 40,715 died.. Isn't it time we get our priority straight?
