From the "this is news... really?" department - WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Stacey Abrams to visit the Fountain City * Next week she’ll be holding events in a number of cities including Columbus. * Stay with News Leader 9 as we learn the details of Abrams’s visit to the Fountain City." -- Good grief! Of course she'll be campaigning in Columbus, but calling it a visit asinine! Columbus votes 60% for Democrats every election, so calling her trip here a "visit" when it's nothing more than a "meet & greet photo-op" with Democrats she expects a donation from is like claiming Kamala Harris "visited" the border and helped solve the issues.

You would think that Messenger Boy Biden would be upset with Putin bombing a maternity hospital in Ukraine.. but when you remember the Socialist-Democrat agenda about abortions.. it was probably only a "Meh" moment in his day...

---
WRBL-TV3 headline: "As qualifying starts, Zeph Baker tells News 3 he will not seek mayor’s post" -- Good grief! When is Baker going to be held accountable for his financial disclosures from past campaigns? Who knows what an audit would uncover?

---
Online headline/story: "Georgia leaders plan to temporarily halt state gas tax to give drivers relief * Gov. Brian Kemp announced Wednesday that he plans to work with the Georgia General Assembly to temporarily suspend the state’s excise tax on motor fuel sales." -- Good grief! The only thing this would do is take money out of our Roads and Highway maintenance funds, because stations are not going to cut back prices.. at least not more than the first day or so.. and then when the "relief period" is over, the tax goes back on and it's then just another gas price hike.

WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Columbus Parks and Recreation updates summer pool schedules * Tuesday in the city council meeting, Parks and Recreation director, Holli Browder, gave an update on what pools will be open this summer in the Fountain City. * According to Browder, the aquatic center on Macon Road will be open Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, the pool will be closed. * Double Churches will be open from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday - Friday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends." -- Wait a minute! When are the pools on Psalmond Road and St Mary's Road going to be fixed and re-opened! Every sitting Councilor and the Mayor and City Manager should be embarrassed ... and held accountable ... for a city of Columbus's size to have only 1 outdoor public pool available in working condition!Oh, and for that ill-conceived Natatorium off Macon Road, it's doors should be closed until a financial plan can be shown that makes it revenue positive from users.

WTVM-TV9 headline/story: "Biden Administration to cancel $6 billion worth of student loan debt * The Biden Administration is canceling more than $6 billion worth of federal student debt. * Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Education said it has identified 100,000 (@ $60,000.00 per) borrowers eligible for the ‘Public Loan Forgiveness Program" -- What BS! The "Biden Administration" basically just wrote of $6 BILLION tax dollars paid for by taxpayers who expect MORE from our politicians and education system to use wisely! The WHOLE Federal Student loan program needs to be overhauled, and limited to career paths that have a track to generate enough income to pay back a loan!

We really missed how desperate the Socialist-Democrats were to let illegal aliens infiltrate our country! After seeing how little they've been willing to do to help Ukraine, we're lucky Chuckles Harris's job wasn't to confiscate Winchester's, Remington's, H&K's, and S&W's inventory and have them issued out to all illegals as a "WELCOME" gift!

---
MSM... and most Democrats...are having a hard time reporting Ukraine... They either have to report the truth about Messenger Boy (he just reads the messages the WH handlers post on the Teleprompter) Biden , or apologize to, and report the truth about Trump.

Campbell's Chicken and Rice soup at my grocer has jumped to $1.88 a can.. Guess Campbell's needs to change it's jingle from "Campbell's Soup is Hmmm Hmmm good" to " Hmmm Hmmm. cha-ching!"

Online headline/story: "Supreme Court rejects GOP redistricting pleas in Pennsylvania and North Carolina * the justices are allowing maps selected by each state’s Supreme Court to be in effect for the 2022 elections. Those maps are more favorable to Democrats than the ones drawn by the states’ legislatures. * n North Carolina, the map most likely will give Democrats an additional House seat in 2023. * The Pennsylvania map also probably will lead to the election of more Democrats, the Republicans say, as the two parties battle for control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the midterm elections in November. * In Pennsylvania, Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed the plan the Republican-controlled Legislature approved, saying it was the result of a “partisan political process.”" -- "Tom Wolf vetoed the plan of the Republican controlled Legislature.. saying it was.. "a partisan political process"... DOH! and what was even MORE a "partisan political process" is Democrat Governor Wolf vetoing the bill because it was drawn up by a Republican controlled (READ: more voters preferred Republicans than Democrats) Legislature.

Now..the REAL "political partisans" are those that look at the number of people in a district based on their "political partisanship" rather than just their residency..

WRBL-TV3 headline/story: "Campaign trail heats up, candidates speak at Muscogee County Republicans meeting * Mayor Henderson spoke on the labor crisis and an uptick in Columbus crime. When asked about what sets him apart as a candidate, he says it comes down to experience in office. * “This campaign is going to be about experience. We’re still in a tight situation with regard to some of the challenges we’ve had over the last few years… we’re not done with them. So it really is going to take somebody who has already exhibited strong knowledgeable leadership that we bring to the table. - Mayor Skip Henderson" -- Hmmm... sounds like the Mayor hasn't decided on who he's going to vote for either...

WRBL-TV3 headline/story: "Could Kadie the Cow be mooo-ving from Manchester Expressway to Uptown? * Under the proposal, Kadie would be moved to Uptown in an area on Bay Avenue between, 10th Street and 11th Street. * It would be financed through a fundraising campaign that would raise $32,000 for the relocation. * An endowment would be established to maintain Kadie for ten years." -- Whatta dilemma! Poor Kadie has been around long enough to remember how "Boris the Stegosaurus" was moved from the Columbus Museum to Broadway... then it totally... and mysteriously... disappeared... but that would be only one of other dastardly results the future could hold for her.. at Bay at the River, Kadie would be DESTINED to be the abused subject of early morning college-aged revelers taking "selfies" as they relieve themselves on her legs..(or break their necks trying to climb and sit on her)... and then Kadie would be dependent on the City maintaining her.. Well, she's already older than the Government Center which is about to be blown up and replaced.. Oh,, and can't you see her new "make-up" as River fowl discover a new resting and nesting... and POOPING station? looks like Kadie's days will be numbered if she's moved.. I voted for Chick-fil-A taking care of Kadie..

Was checking the list of candidates qualifying for local races this May, and found one that's jumping into a School Board race who's name is on 4 different local properties with H1 "homestead exemption" status...

---
Let's see, our Columbus Police Department held a job recruiting event the last weekend in February, and Gwinnett County held a law-enforcement recruiting even this past weekend here in Columbus.. Now, Hey, Council..did Columbus gain or lose Police officers?

---
Online "headLIE" department - "Gas prices: Biden administration 'making sure' consumers are protected" -- The White House's name needs to be changed... NOW... to "Burger King Headquarters... home of the world's biggest WHOPPERS".

---
You know, long before he shot and killed Halyna Hutchins, I consider @lec B@ldwin and @-hole..after all that's happened in the recent months, B@ldwin has confirmed my conception...

---
Online "headLIE" "SCOTUS is an obstacle to fair elections, a new book argues" -- Wrong!

It's the US Supreme Courts' responsibility to make sure private parties do not... DO NOT usurp the US Constitution's instructions that only citizens vote and only state legislatures of a new Constitutional Amendment make changes to voting laws... Now, what's amiss is this author's megalomaniacal EGO!
