Online Reuters headline/story: "Fear for civilians as huge Russian column bears down on Kyiv * Nearly a week since after Moscow launched war on its neighbor it has failed to capture a single major Ukrainian city after running into unexpectedly fierce resistance." -- Sounds like Putin should have hired the Democrat National Committee and the White House "handlers" to develop his political and military strategy to turn all the major Ukraine cities "BLUE" without firing a shot.

---
Online Reuters headline/story: "Americans, Canadians answer Ukraine call for foreign fighters * With their governments refusing to send troops to Ukraine out of fear of sparking a world war, Americans and Canadians told Reuters they were inspired by Ukrainians' fierce resistance. Many believe their democratic rights at home may ultimately be jeopardized if they do nothing to defend Europe" -- Whoa! Slow down patriots! That's just what Trudeau and Biden WANT you to do! Leave Canadian and American truckers without their backs covered!

---
Don't be fooled by any outward frustration or concern about Putin's war on Ukraine Resident JoKKKe Biden might exhibit.... This is a gold mine for him.. when was the last time you saw news about the antifa, BLM, border issues, Covid-19, inflation, Covid-19 HOME TEST KITS... or Hunter Biden? Oh, he still has to put up with the high cost of gasoline because that's always on voters minds, but that's just because it's an opportunity to try and push the Socialist renewable energy agenda.

---
Speaking of high gas prices, don't get too excited when politicians yell out they are going to wipe out the gas taxes to help with prices....If they do...it will only be temporary, and it's about 18-cents... and with in 2-3 weeks, station operators will just have raised their prices that much..since you're already used to seeing it at that level .... and than when the taxes go back on.. WOW!

The GA House passed "House Bill 1086" which would lower the age at which hospitals would be required to offer an inpatient the influenza vaccine prior to discharge from 65 to 50 years of age" -- Required to offer... First..isn't that a mandate? Secondly, GA House Republicans.. and Governor Kemp might want to rethink this... if GA House Bill 1086 gets signed into law, they have just gone on record to calling 50-year olds "OLD" just before a very important election.

---
GA House passed another questionable interest law... House Bill 1148, which would prohibit individuals from bringing a cervid carcass, such as a deer carcass, from outside Georgia into the state if any part of the carcass contains a portion of the nervous system, and this bill would provide exceptions for antlers, skulls, skull plates, teeth or jawbones that have soft tissue attached" -- Isn't the White-tailed Deer the official state animal of GA.. Shouldn't there be laws protecting our state animal...

I really would like to two local issues discussed in this years Council and Mayoral races.. Both are vital to the growth of Columbus.. First, is getting our local election date moved from the private party primary date to the General Election date in November. The other is to have all tax referendum issues be limited to the November General Election date in the even number years. Last year's $400,000,000.00 SPLOST was the only local issue on the ballot, and turnout was miserable for such a vital election..and tying the local non-partisan elected official election to the primaries is a negative for voters to get needed changes in leadership, and the fact that the winner in this May 24th's elections won't take office until over 7 months later... Hey, GA House of Representatives... help out Columbus .. and the entire state.. by at least requiring all TAX REFERENDUMS be required to be on a ballot during an "even year" November General Election date.

Hey Columbus, GA... got this in a Council "recap" for February:

"Finance Director Angelica Alexander and Mr. Miller Edwards from Mauldin and Jenkins CPA explained how the comprehensive annual audit went well. There were no findings and only a few recommendations to add personnel for double checks on expenditures. The Tax Commissioner has had a problem receiving bad checks. Several agencies have too much cash on hand. The CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report) will be posted on the Finance Department web site for the public to review if desired."

Hmmm... How come the $5 MILLION PLUS missing from Willie Demps' office accounts weren't "visible" to the CAFR?...

---
Online headline: "Vladimir Putin's mental state questioned by growing number of US officials" -- Hmmmm... I don't reckon anymore will happen with this as the same "questioners" haven't so much as mentioned Amendment 25 when talking about Resident Biden's mental state.

Have noted several American businesses that have cut business ties with Russia, yet haven't seen any doing the same with China after China made deals with Russia over oil and gas to cut the damage of the Biden sanctions. Now... about those deals China made to help Russia.. how much did those make for Hunter and 'the Big Guy"?

---
Online headline: "Gordon Chang: Biden’s feeble response to Russia will bolster China’s attempt to ‘destabilize the world’ * The Biden administration has just failed to protect the interest of the United States,’ Chang said" -- "feeble response to Russia"? Hey.. Biden is supporting his relationship with Xi Jinping who avidly supports Putin!

---
Online headline: "Russia-Ukraine crisis: Zelenskyy's on-the-ground images draw sharp contrast with reclusive Putin * Putin has not been seen in public as much as Zelenskyy since the invasion began" -- Hmmm... Sorta sounds like the 2020 election strategy of Biden...Trump was in the trenches while Biden hid away in his basement letting CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC to assassinate Trump.

---
Online headline: "Russia hikes key rate to 20%, tells companies to sell foreign currency * Move designed to counter risks of ruble depreciation and higher inflation" * Russia has ordered companies to sell 80% of their foreign currency revenues, the central bank and the finance ministry said." -- Hmmm... Putin wants Russian billionaires to dump their dollars and Euros... and what does Putin want them to convert to... Russian Rubles? Ain't gonna happen!

Online headline/story: "Deployed soldier unable to return to his Decatur house because of squatters * Fowler said DeKalb County police have been called to the home four times, but he was told officers are not able to remove the squatters. * Police were able to get the names of some people living at the home. Fowler said he's learned at least one has an extensive criminal record. * "I have not authorized these people to be on my property in any way, shape or form. I have never rented this property to them, they have no lease agreement with me. The utilities on the property are not on either. I fail to see how this is not breaking and entering or trespassing," Fowler said." -- Of course it's a crime... and the police should be able to extract them... but... BUT when you have a Democrat passed anti-eviction law in a Democrat ruled city, laws protect criminals more than law-abiding citizens...

---
Online headline: "Georgia moves to sell off Russian assets in state retirement funds" -- Wow... this brings up the question of WHY GA Retirement Funds were invested in any foreign country... Shouldn't all 50 states and the federal government be more interested in supporting our own citizens best interests ... especially for when they retire? Putting American dollars into foreign countries not only weakens our job market and economy, but strengthens foreign countries. It also makes it harder for pressuring foreign countries "to do the right thing" because doing that might damage politically connected American investors.

---
Online headline: "Grandmother shot dead while staying at Gwinnett hotel, police say " -- How devastating.. but what's worse is Gwinnett County will be in Columbus trying to recruit some of our police officers to join them up there...and a Columbus Institution welcomes the Gwinnett team!

Online headline/story: "Houses of Worship To Build Thousands of Affordable Homes with $8.5 Million in Grants from Wells Fargo * Nationwide expansion of faith-based affordable housing development kicks off in Atlanta with plans for 1,000 units locally. * Joined by Mayor Andre Dickens outside Atlanta First United Methodist Church, Enterprise Community Partners earlier this week announced $8.5 million in grants from the Wells Fargo Foundation to help houses of worship across the U.S. convert underutilized land into affordable homes and community facilities. * In Fulton County alone, faith-based organizations own more than 6,000 acres of land, much of which is underutilized, according to the announcement. With Wells Fargo’s support, Enterprise will help approximately 15 houses of worship in the Atlanta metro create 1,000 affordable homes for community members over the next five years. * Enterprise’s Faith-Based Development Initiative launched in 2006 in the Mid-Atlantic region, where it has helped faith-based organizations to create or preserve more than 1,500 affordable homes and one community-based health clinic, with more than a thousand additional affordable homes in the development pipeline. * “To meet my Administration’s ambitious goal of creating or preserving 20,000 units of affordable housing, we will need the assistance of all facets of our community using all tools at our disposal,” Mayor Andre Dickens said. “By partnering with houses of worship to develop underutilized land owned by faith-based groups to develop affordable housing, we have the opportunity to get at least 1,000 units closer to our goal. Thank you to Wells Fargo and Enterprise Community Partners for their investment in housing equity in Atlanta.”" -- I'm sure there are more details concerning money and costs, and tax-exemptions (which of course means "regular" homeowners/taxpayers will brunt the additional costs of fire and safety expenses) but I was just wondering why this project wasn't referenced by Neighborhood Works of Columbus in putting together the recent "Elliott's Walk" project in Columbus, GA for 229 houses/apartments with a $40,000,000.00 .. (and property tax deferrals worth $10,000,000.00). Maybe Columbus Council should have looked into this before giving T.A.D. tax dollars to a private non-profit run by an elected official!

Online headline: "Sara Carter: 'Absolutely incredible' that Mayorkas put in charge of Ukraine conflict threats" -- Hmmm... I guess because of how he's handled the invasion crossing on our Southern Border...and Resident Biden surely doesn't Russia stopped at Ukraine's border...

---
Online headline: "Ukraine receives shipment of Starlink terminals less than 48 hours after Elon Musk promised them * A Ukrainian official tweeted a picture of a truckload of Starlink user terminals on Monday" -- Love when a man keeps his promises.. hey, Messenger Boy Biden, where are the Covid-19 Home Test Kits YOU PROMISED?

---
From the "Close, but no bananas" department - Online headline: " Jill Biden introduces Kamala Harris as 'the president,' then says she was joking" -- Hmm...maybe Jill has already invoked the 25th Amendment on her husband...

---
Online headline/story: "Former Hunter Biden business partner sentenced to prison for role in scheme to defraud Native American tribe * Hunter Biden's business partners continue to be trailed by controversy * Devon Archer was sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison by Manhattan Judge Ronnie Abrams for his role in a ploy that defrauded the Oglala Sioux tribe of nearly $60 million in bonds. * Before being arrested, Archer and Biden sat on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings." -- Hmmm.. sounds like the Lone Ranger went free while Tonto took it for the both of them...

---
Online headline: "'We have to stand up:' US govs impose sanctions on Russia" -- Please note, neither Governor of california or New York followed suit... guess they didn't want to toss out their favorite Russian vodka..

---
Online YAHOO headline: "Jury selection in 1st trial for accused Jan. 6 rioter raises questions about impartiality" -- Hmmm... just as Lott couldn't find God another good man in Sodom or Gomorrah, it's probably even harder to find a non-Democrat voter in Washington, DC.

---
Online Reuters Headline: "Exclusive-Biden sends former top defense officials to Taiwan in show of support" -- Hmmm... guess he and Xi Jinping figured out that the easiest way to take over Taiwan was to send in Democrats and turn Taiwan "BLUE" at the ballot boxes.
