One thing very obvious since the firing of our former City Manager by the Columbus GA Council is that it’s shown we don’t need a City Manager and TWO Deputy City Managers… Heck.. it doesn’t even feel like we need a new City Manager, much less a new City Manager and TWO Deputies at all.. how about eliminating one of those jobs ….

Online headline/story: "College kids’ math
skills worse than ever, California finds — blame our pass-the-buck public schools
* What happens when a child is promoted, grade by grade, through America’s K-12
school system but can’t actually perform at grade level in reading,
writing or math? * As the University of California at San Diego found,
they get into college — and become someone else’s problem. * In 2023, 13% of
students who took a UC San Diego math assessment could not perform
at first-grade level, and 25% of kids got the equation 7 + 2 = [ ] + 6
wrong. * This was a giant error, as Harvard University found: In 2024, it
too had to add a remedial class for incoming freshmen who lacked “foundational
skills” in basic high school math, after admitting them without a standardized
measure of their readiness for college.” – And while I haven’t seen reports on
how it is now at Columbus GA State University, I do remember 15 years ago (+/-
2 years) when CSU, under Dr Mescon, proudly announced a new enrollment record
of about 4,000 new freshmen , but that about a thousand of those
were having to take remedial math at the Columbus Technology Center, and
I do remember when the Graduation Test for high school seniors in Muscogee
County was eliminated and the graduation number soared here in Columbus…Tell me
how the grads and community benefit…

Online story: "Federal payroll costs
ballooned from $217 billion during fiscal 2020 to $270 billion by the end of
fiscal 2024, a new report published by Open The Books has found. * For the
federal government, fiscal 2020 began in October 2019 and fiscal 2024 ended in
September 2024, covering almost the entirety of the Biden
administration." -- The federal payroll got inflated by 24% in 4 years
under Biden... It's not about pay increase... it's about increasing federal
employee numbers as well by expanding social programs and creating new programs
and adding many more political appointees.. both of which increase the
inflation rate taxpayers have had to live with…

Online headline: "Rogan and Carolla shred
Newsom, say he should blame Palisades fire on bad management, not climate
change" --Gimmee a break! A politician...especially a DemoKrat one... and
extra- especially, one from California.... has a chance to choose to tell CNN
that it was CLIMATE CHANGE (or Donald Trump) rather than a bad
decision/management issue on his/her part is never gonna admit he/she's the
blame!

Online headline: "The new property tax
revolt: No taxation without consent" -- Hey, Columbus, GA... the
current odds-on-favorite for our next Mayor "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley
has teamed up former Mayor Queen TT Tom-LYING-son and current Mayor Skippy the
POO, so we can expect another assault on our "Property Tax Freeze" if
he does win.

WRBL-TV3 headline: "Sunday Conversation:

Hmmmm.... Is there any other charitable organization that owns as much
commercial real estate than Goodwill Industries?

Online headline: "The Ogallala Crisis: What
Happens When America’s Largest Water Source Runs Dry? -- "FAKE
VIEWS"! Is Algore behind this? What an alarmist! Claiming the Ogallala
Aquifer is being drained but has not enough replacement source.. This
aquifer could only become so big BECAUSE it has a huge resource system.

Wanes Hales, publisher of the Eco Courier Latino
in Columbus, GA wrote this in his today's edition: "White folks
understand something we often ignore: money is power. Money is
leverage. Money is a vote with decimals. * They will boycott, redirect,
unify, and strategize around their interests. They invest in their own businesses.
They hire their own people. They circulate their money within their own
community. * We, on the other hand, give our fruit to the oppressor. We
run from the Black businesses struggling to survive but flock to the
corporations that wouldn’t hire our children to sweep the floor. We tear down
the very leaders who stand up for us — because they’re not perfect — while
voting for people who don’t even pretend to care." -- Hmmm... what
he doesn't say is that he's basically describing the White DemoKrat leadership
he advocates for! ...Yet Wane Hales is so committed to skin color segregation
and division , that he divides the Black population according to whether he
thinks some successful in industry Blacks aren't BLACK ENOUGH because they they
do not segregate ..and are forward looking.

Online headline/story: “Uneven Spotlight? Harris
County Arrest of Assistant Principal Raises Questions About Media Double
Standard. Is there a double standard in how the arrests of Black and
white public officials are covered in Muscogee County — and does that reflect a
broader pattern in American crime reporting?” -- Good grief! All of a
sudden Wane Hailes is concerned about a school issue involving skin
color, when everything he presents in his stories is completely about skin
color.

Online headline: "Georgia's new SNAP work
rules could leave thousands without food assistance" -- A sign published
with this article read, "SNAP FEEDS FAMILIES".
... "SNAP FEEDS FAMILIES"? True ..but "SNAP" also
takes food off the tables of taxpayers' families. It's the same principle as
"Affordable Housing" programs... hard working taxpayers supplement
other people's incomes by paying higher taxes than they ought to pay. Let the
churches handle this charitable facet…

Online headline/story: "Hundreds of
billionaires pledged to give away $600 billion to charity—but the Bill Gates
and Warren Buffett era of philanthropy may be over * Foundations have long
served as the primary structure for billionaire giving. But recent moves by
U.S. lawmakers could discourage that approach. A budget reconciliation package
approved in May included a new 10% tax on foundations holding more than $5
billion in assets.” -- What! "A budget reconciliation approved in
May included a new 10% tax on foundations holding more than $5 Billion in
assets.".. I betcha all the DemoKrats vote "FOR" on this issue
...they never see a tax they don't like... I just want to know how the issue
EVEN MADE it to the Floor of the House for a vote, and then wasn't removed by the
Senate....

Online headline: '20-Years-Old Georgia Man

Online headline: "Johns Hopkins University
Will Be Tuition-Free For Families Of Undergraduate Students Making Up To
$200K" -- Hmmm... this may not get the results
"intended"... You know what more doctors does to health and
insurance costs?... I guess this means there will be fewer patients per
doctor…and it will raise the cost of healthcare... Huh... you say....
well, do you think MORE doctors coming into play will affect the normal effect
of "supply & demand"? Not me... I don't see new or older doctors
working for less just because there will be more competition for job
slots.....think about it...

Washington Examiner Poll: "Republicans more
likely than Democrats to have close friends in other party"
-- Hmmm ...I can see where moderate DemoKrats are more likely to
have more Republican friends than liberal DemoKrats are likely to have any
Republican friends, .. in fact, I can also see where moderate DemoKrats are
more likely to have more Republican friends THAN they have friends on the
liberal side of the DemoKrat Party as well.

WTVM-TV9 online headline: "68-year-old

From the “If you thought SNOPES was a liberal
tool, wait’ll you read this!” department – Online headline/story: “Wikipedia
donations go toward paying liberal activists to rewrite articles * When
clicking on a Wikipedia page, users are often met with fundraising
pleas that strongly imply the site is in dire need of funds to ensure
its wealth of knowledge remains available to all. A closer look at the
financials behind the website, however, reveals that the foundation running
Wikipedia has enough surplus cash to bankroll groups responsible for inserting
left-of-center viewpoints into its articles. * The Wikimedia Foundation, the
nonprofit organization responsible for administering Wikipedia, paid out more
than $1 million in grants to groups that host mass-editing events aimed at
introducing the perspectives of feminists and racial justice activists into the
website's articles, according to tax forms filed in April covering activities
between July 2023 and June 2024.” -- I've always seen "facts" I
considered “questionable in a lot of Wikipedia "articles", but I did
not realize Wikipedia knew about and actually paid for them. Now.. there is a
new APP source available on line.. “GROK”… and it’s part of Elon Musk’s “X”
empire so it is going to be better balanced.

Local question: Why is Pepsi the exclusive .. even
obtrusive... soft drink vendor at Columbus GA's Civic Center... Coca Cola
was started here and responsible for funding many of the charitable
organizations here ..Dr. Pemberton... the formulator of Coca Cola is even
buried here. Our Council needs to look closely at how the contracts with
Pepsi evolved... and even RC Cola/Nehi was started here... so how did our past
City Manager put Pepsi in?

It’s been illuminating at how Letitia James and
Eric Smalwell and Adam Schi** have been exposed on “mortgage fraud” but it’s a
lot closer to home when you realize Congressman Sandford Bishop, D-GA2, and his
wife have homes in both Columbus GA and Albany GA that have “Homestead
Exemptions” which lessens their property taxes.. the Homestead Exemption
status is suppose to be only for their one PRIMARY Georgia house… and we have
no clue about any of his Washington arrangements..

Online headline: "Comedian Samantha Bee Tells
Stacey Abrams to Attack MAGA: Civility Is ‘Worthless" -- Hmmm
... so Samantha Bee lost "her TV comedy show" because she could not
get a desirable audience of viewers with "common sense", so Stacey
Abrams has brought her on her "podcast" to spew her garbage to an
audience with less "common sense" ... neither of which are
required nor desired.

Online headline: "City Councilor Bruce Huff’s
Efforts Spark Growth in District 3" -- Hmmm... Government initiated
housing in NOT "affordable housing" ...in fact, it's DISCRIMINATORY!
Hard working families who have taken responsibility to provide for themselves
and their own future are forced to pay more in taxes to make up the difference
that allows politicians to give those tax dollars to government contractors to
make up the difference for the discount given to low income renters to live in
those units.
Hmmm… Columbus GA welcomes Zack Lee to the
Columbus GA Council Post 3 race… maybe, just in time..
