Burt Jones scores another victory over use of campaign cash" --  How can a "loan" from one entity  to another of the same purpose that can spend it in ways prohibited to the first entity, and there's no expectation of repayment be considered anything but an illegal donation!  In fact, no politician should be able to donate from its "campaign account" the another politician.. it allows to many ways to get around the donation limits already in place.

I met Ty Cobb in 1954..or 1955 at my grandfather's home here in Columbus, GA..Cobb and my grandfather were good friends.. they played baseball against each other before Cobb went to the Majors, and Cobb tried to get him to come to Detroit and play with him.  As an enticement, in 1906, Cobb gave him two Louisville Slugger bats and a glove to join the Tigers .. My grandfather declined (pro baseball was not a "big money" job at that time) to join his father in the family business now remembered as "Kirven's Department Stores (1876 to 1993). I have one of those bats today .. its trademark reads "J.F. Hillerich & Son"... later, the company became "Hillerich & Bradsby". Later. they played lots of tennis and golf together... once at Augusta National in 1937.

For the past 2 years, I’ve asked questions about 3 Semi truck cabs that have been parked in the Motel 6 parking lot on Veterans Parkway in Columbus, GA.. I tried to reach out to the carrier and leasing firms shown on them, but both denied current ownership.. all three of these units were not currently up-to-date on licenses.. This past week, I drove by.. and one of the units was gone…was it just reclaimed by the unknown current owner or stolen?
