From the "First Budweiser, then Hilton, and now GEICO" department: "Parents say GEICO refused claim after car crash because their baby and toddler weren’t listed on insurance policy" --  and their babies were neither hurt or contributed to another vehicle hitting their car in a round-a-bout….Hmm.... this looks like a "DUD LIGHT" moment for GEICO!

The DemoKrats are known for “vetting issues”... remember when Obama was their chosen candidate to run for President in 2008? Now that we are officially in 2026, local election issues become more of a reality. One reality is that we have candidates running in Columbus Council Posts 5 and 7 that should be scrutinized as to whether they should be eligible to run.. In Council Post 5, Attorney Robert L. Wadkins Jr, and in Council Post 7, Rebecca Zajac.  Wadkins is the CITY ATTORNEY for Hamilton, GA... He says that makes him imminently  qualified but.. when you think about it, won't there be situations where Hamilton laws are different from Columbus laws, and if Hamilton needs his presence there on an issue, will he respond there versus attend a Council meeting here in Columbus... Then there's Zajac... she's the director of the Dragonfly Trail which receives quite a bit of Columbus tax dollars for the Dragonfly Trail projects... That's a conflict with many aspects .. "Of course" she'll "recuse" herself on voting on those issues, but it does not mean she wouldn't influence other Councilors to vote for them for fear she might retaliate by not voting for issues dear to their hearts. Both need to resign their current jobs before being allowed to continue, and not be able to resume them post election if they win.

Looks like after 1 year, only about  2O% of the 13,000 plus homes that perished in the Pacific Palisades fire in Los Angeles have received the "permits" required to rebuild... Hmmm... being "homeless" in Los Angeles has a different focus,, a different  definition... than the rest of the country

New NYC Mayor Mamdani has appointed Cea Weaver as head of the “NYC Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants”… but in doing so, she doesn’t want to protect owners…Something… well a lot of things…tell me the Mayoralship of Mamdano is going to be a disaster for NYC and the DemoKrat Party… other wise, it is going to be a disaster for America!

Online headline: "‘Long overdue’: New Georgia law cracks down on car booting" -- Yes.. I remember my bride and me going to my car in an Atlanta shopping strip and when we got back, the two cars parked beside us both had been "booted".. both those drivers were trying to settle their issue after parking there then walking across the street to Lenox Square... (we'd stayed in the stores associated with this particular lot). This new laws adds even more interest in our legislators.. and Columbus GA Council working together to get rid of those "speed zone cameras" that are draining our community of economic development.. Yes. Atlanta has issues with "booting" of cars, but Columbus is having a BIGGER issue with the "LOOTING" of car owners' wallets! (For the record, neither my bride nor I have been ticketed by those cameras, so this isn't a "sour grapes issue").
