Join in together in remembrance of D-Day. We can't count on White House leadership, because Judas 00-bama won't realize what today is until he wakes up tomorrow and reads about it.

---

Online headline: "Report: NSA Secretly Collecting Phone Records Of All U.S. Verizon Calls" -- Hmmm, let's see... he just 'resign/retired' and was replaced by Susan Rice who was promoted(?) from the UN after falling on a sword for Judas 00-bama and Hillary regarding Benghazi, and Rice was replaced by Hillary's deputy, Samantha Power. Again, Judas 00-bama really thinks he's covering his scandal bases. He's moving Hillary's deputy secretary out if Washington to get lost in the halls of the UN. Now Rice & Powell are still under his thumbs, but at different places. Ingram has already been deposited as the IRS's ObamaCare Compliance queen, Shulman & Miller retired from IRS (with benefits), and Lois Lerner just buried herself in the debris. Ain't transparency grand?

---

Online headline: "Tom Donilon Resigning: Obama National Security Adviser To Be Replaced By Susan Rice" -- Oooooh... someone or something is getting close to the Benghazi or other scandals we know about... otherwise, Judas 00-bama would not be throwing Rice into the discussion pit to divert the Republican interests.
---

Naming Susan Rice as the new head of the NSA is a stroke of 00-bamaism at its conniverring best. Not only is she clueless on what's going on, Judas 00- bama doesn't need visible strings to make her lips move to lip sync his words.

---

The TSA getting rid of those invasive x-ray machine is making sense..All these 00-bama appointees that have 'retired' will be flying commercial airlines in the future, and none wanted the media to find out for sure that none of them had cojones.

---

Finally it makes sense... why FLOTUS has so many 'attendants' on the payroll. With all the secret e-mail addresses, Judas 00-bama always know where Michelle is at all times, especially when she's coming back to the White House.

---

Looks like Tsar Sebelius had appointed herself the first death panel member of ObamaCare. She told the parents if a 10 year old girl she wasn't going to act on their lung transplant request.

---

Online update: "PHILADELPHIA -- A dying 10-year-old girl has become eligible to seek donor lungs from an adult transplant list, after a federal judge Wednesday granted her family's emergency petition. * U.S. District Judge Michael Baylson granted the request because of the severity of Sarah Murnaghan's condition, according to court documents filed after a brief hearing." -- Hmmm, now we'll see if Sebelius can trump a U.S. District Judge.

---

Online story: "NEW YORK — Girls of any age can buy generic versions of emergency contraception without prescriptions while the federal government appeals a judge's ruling allowing the sales, a federal appeals court said Wednesday. * The order, the latest in a series of rulings in a complex back-and-forth over access to the drug, was met with praise from advocates for girls' and women's rights and scorn from social conservatives and other opponents, who argue the drug's availability takes away the rights of parents of girls who could get it without their permission." -- Hmmm, where were these "advocates for girl's and women's rights" when the 10 year old girl was being denied a lung transplant to live? Did they think she was just a candidate for an "after birth abortion"?

---

Since the heckler at Michelle Obama's pay-for-play fundraiser was kicked out, did she get a cheerful refund?

---

You know, looking at 'zero traffic' on 13th Street between Veterans Parkway and the bridge at the river, one must assume the only people who use that bridge are Alabamians. How come 'we' paid for it, and why isn't a toll booth set up to collect funds from Alabamians crossing into Columbus?

---

Can you believe there is a parasitic company selling "no cost" stairlifts for seniors under the company name of "ACORNLift"?

---

Whoa! Whitewater Express has done it's second flip-flop. First it lowered the projected prices downward to be inline with other venues, but now that it's got a current exclusive arrangement, Whitewater Express is showing its new jacked-up prices online. Guess the new name for it will be "Cut Bait & Switch".
THE CHATTAHOOCHEE: Opening Season Discount!

---

For info sake, my daughter's church group took the Chattahoochee on yesterday afternoon in a low flow time, and with bypassing 'cut bait & switch". Not too impressed (except for the "guide").. prefers the Ocoee.

---

The IRS scandal is worse than even the Republicans are making it. IRS's job is to decide which exempt status best fits an organizations purpose, issue the proper status, then monitor the 990's to see how resources are being accounted for and dispensed. If all churches, and all unions were pre-screened with the same enthusiasm as conservative groups, we'd have a lot less churches and unions.

---

Now that the British and French have confirmed the use of sarin gas in Syria (and Judas 00-bama has had time to read about the next day), did he conform this line had been crossed?

---

Online headline: "Eric Holder: Media Probe Got 'A Little Out Of Whack'" -- "a little"? No, a whole LOT out of whack. In fact, I can visualize the next version graphics on "Whack-a-Mole".

---

Deacon Jones.. the man who "coined" the word "sack". has passed at age 74. He was quite the roll model for our generations. Too bad the NCAA & NFL are producing many of these we can hold up to the current & next generation. The few out there get "Tebowed" by the media AND the NFL.

---

L-E headline: "Muscogee Clerk of Superior Court Linda Pierce hires lawyer to fight mayor's proposed budget cut" -- Well, I hope she has to pay for it out her budget that we already pay for. Boo... Hisss!

---

Mayor Obamalinson thinks she has slipped one by, but her deal with Whitewater Express to pay Columbus a 3% 'fee' in lieu of collecting sales taxes was pretty underhanded. (BTW, the GA Attorney General is looking into the 'exempt' status for such businesses).

That 3% all goes into the general budget rather than shares being designated to the revenue strapped MCSD for it's SPLOST, and the also revenue strapped Public Safety Departments for that LOST. And the state, local and area interests are short changed by not getting revenues for the T-SPLOST.

---

L-E headline/story: "Woman, 84, claims $590M Powerball pot * Gloria C. MacKenzie, who lives in a modest, tin-roof house in Zephyrhills, where the sole winning ticket in the May 18 drawing was bought, took her prize in a lump sum of just over $370 million. After federal taxes, she is taking home about $270 million, lottery officials said." -- Thank goodness she lived in Florida where there's no personal income tax to strip her winnings down further. Sad thing is that she will be adored and doted on by the media, while Mitt Romney, who worked hard all his life and was/is villified for amassing a fortune that's less than her windfall.

---

L-E's "Late laughs": PRESIDENT OBAMA says he is renewing his efforts to close Guantanamo Bay. How about closing the IRS? Why don’t we do that? How about shipping the IRS to Guantanamo Bay? — Jay Leno " -- Hmmm, Jay knocked this out of the ball park. Jay is the "comeback kid".

---

From looking at the picture in today's Columbus L-E of teachers rafting the Chattahoochee, it's apparent the schools need to reintrocuse PE to all schools and make taechers participate as well.

---

You mean the Pacer-Heat game 7 was not the end of the NBA season... you mean we may have to endure NBA past Father's Day?

---

L-E headline: "Cheerios stands by TV ad showing mixed-race family " -- Bravo Cheerio! It's a cute, poignant, effective ad.

Online headline/story: "Michelle Obama DNC Fundraiser Speech Interrupted By LGBT Protester * The first lady was speaking to a private Democratic fundraiser on Tuesday when a woman in the crowd began shouting at her. * About 12 minutes into Obama's 20-minute speech, a woman standing at the front of the crowd began yelling for an executive order on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights. * "One of the things that I don't do well is this," replied Obama to loud applause. She left the lectern and approached the protester, inviting the woman to "listen to me, or you can take the mic, but I'm leaving. You all decide. You have one choice." * The protester was then escorted out, saying she wanted "federal equality before I die." --Hmm, it's getting nasty when FLOTUS goes to a $500.00 - $10,000.00 per person event of hand invited guests, threatens to leave, but opts to have the heckler escorted out.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON — Some of President Barack Obama's political appointees are using secret government email accounts to conduct official business, The Associated Press found, a practice that complicates agencies' legal responsibilities to find and turn over emails under public records requests and congressional inquiries." -- Hmmm, the "most transparent administration in history (BS!)" has been outed for using a 'secret e-mail system' outside their government accounts. Hmm, told ya a several if weeks ago that Congress & the AP needed to be looking at Judas 00-bama's personal Blackberry account. Now, it appears all his sycophants have one also.

---

The 2000 room New York Hilton has dropped 'room service'. Its excuse is there's no money in it. I personally think it's because customers found ways around the exorbitant prices charged. Sorta like movie theater candy. And look how much hotels charged for daily internet use... smart phones with a 'hot spot' took care of that.

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- President Obama resumed the judicial wars on Tuesday, seeking to pressure Senate Republicans into confirming his nominees to an influential appeals court. * "There's no reason — aside from politics — for Republicans to block these individuals from getting an up or down vote," Obama said during a ceremony unveiling three nominees for the federal appeals court in Washington, D.C. * "It's important we don't play games here," Obama said. * "It's hard to imagine the rationale for nominating three judges at once for this court given the many vacant emergency seats across the country, unless your goal is to pack the court to advance a certain policy agenda," said Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee." -- "It's important we don't play games here"? Gimme a break! Judas 00-bama whole concept of politics is a game... 00-bamanopoly.

---

Hmm, could it be that Judas 00-bama wants to hurry up the judge-approvals so he can find job openings for all the soon-to-be-former IRS executives?

---

Hmm, Reresenative McDermott says the IRS was fully justified to single out conservative groups for more questioning because they were asking for status that would allow donors to have deductions. Mr McDermott had nothing to say about moveon.com getting a full 501 (c) 3 status which allows every donation to be tax deductible, nor how quickly Judas 00-bama's half brother got his 501 (c) 3 status approved so quickly.

---

Congressman McDermott is a separate type of DUMBERat. He's in an especially egregious genre of DUMBERats. Will have to decide on a fitting name but Damnocrap and Condemnocrap are early frontrunners. Suggestions will be considered and appreciated. Personal opinions, too.

---

McDermott... D-Representative from Wash. State may have opened up a can of worms he thought was buried long time ago. He was one of 3 who accepted a trip to Baghdad shortly before Desert Storm funded by Saddam Hussein.

---

Our Constitution requires the government to protect and guarantee the rights within it, not to monitor what we do, what we say, as individuals. Nothing less, nothing more.

---

The Congressional Committee for the IRS won't make any progress until it overrides Lois Lerner's claim for the protection of our 5 Amendment, and brings her back for an uninterrupted/ unlimited session.

---

Since the military court recognizes Major has an ability to represent himself, shouldn't the court change his status from a military offense to that of an enemy combatant which he was/is.

---

Regardless of whether you think Judas 00-bama knew anything about the scandals before he heard about them on the news (guess that means he watches Fox News, because mainstream news didn't carry them until it was too widespread for them to ignore), what's more important, and damaging, is that he hasn't done anything about them since.

---

A coach of a basketball player indicted on point-shaving should be fired and banned.... just for being a bad coach. A good coach knows when his player is having an "off night", or took the "night off".
---
Online headline: "Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Says He Was Defending Taliban" -- This just magnifies why Major Hasan should be sent to Gitmo rather than getting a non-combatant's trial in the military system. Oh yes, and stop paying the SOB!
---
From the "excessively bad timing department" - Online headline: "Michael Douglas' Throat Cancer Caused By Oral Sex Virus, Not Smoking Or Drinking" -- Hmm not exactly the news to announce when you're "acting" in a 'now showing' movie about Liberace, "Behind the Candelabra" .
---
Online story: "NEW YORK (AP) - A group of about 100 high school students traveling from New York to Atlanta were ejected from an AirTran flight after the pilot and crew lost patience with kids who wouldn't sit down and put away their cellphones. * AirTran's parent company, Southwest Airlines, said in a statement that the crew and captain asked passengers several times to put their mobile devices away. The airline said that when some passengers didn't comply, the whole group of students was ordered to disembark. * School Executive Director Seth Linfield said Tuesday that administrators are still looking into the situation, but "preliminarily, it does not appear that the action taken by the flight crew was justified." -- Hmmm, if I ever fly again, it will be on Southwest, exclusively, and the school's Executive Director showed with education in this country is failing the students as well as the future of this country.. this conduct is allowable in classrooms. No one can be a positive factor who cannot see nor exercise self-discipline when it's necessary.
---
Online headline: "Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Boston Bombing Suspect, Getting Donations From Supporters" -- Two questions: Are the donors being investigated by the IRS? and FBI, and has the money been confiscated?
---
From the "what's wrong with this picture" department - Online headline/story: "20-Week Abortion Bill Advanced By All-Male Congressional Panel * Republicans in the House Judiciary subcommittee voted on Tuesday to expand Rep. Trent Franks' (R-Ariz.) proposed D.C. abortion bill to apply to the whole country and advanced the bill favorably to the full committee. The bill would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy in the United States in all cases except those in which the mother's life is in danger. * All four Democrats on the panel voted against advancing the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, arguing that it is unconstitutional and allows no exceptions for rape victims, incest victims, women whose health is endangered by a pregnancy, and cases of severe fetal anomalies." -- This is a multiple-answer (versus multiple choice) poser... Since all the reservations of the DUMBERats are covered by the "all cases except those in which the mother's life is in danger" provision, what's their beef; since it's a moral issue that should be conversation with women and God, what's the Republican beef; and since there are no women on the panel, why does the panel exist?
---
From the above story: "The 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade protects women's ability to have an abortion up until the fetus is viable outside the womb, which is usually believed to occur around the 24th week of pregnancy." --Please tell me how any court can take this ruling and apply it to cases of "partial birth abortion" not being infanticide in which the mother and the doctor should be charged with murder?
---
Online headline: "Kathleen Sebelius Won't Intervene In Transplant Case Of 10-Year-Old Girl" -- Yeah, it would conflict her stance that abortions shouldn't be limited to the unborn children, and no one under ObamaCare should get life-lengthening procedures.
---
Online story: "NEW YORK (AP) - A group of about 100 high school students traveling from New York to Atlanta were ejected from an AirTran flight after the pilot and crew lost patience with kids who wouldn't sit down and put away their cellphones.
---
L-E headline: "Free summer meals for kids at some Muscogee County schools" -- Here we go again... classrooms close because of a shortage of revenues, yet our MCSD and MCSD board continue the nannyism of federal programs that also drain local matching resources out of the classroom. The main reason for the summer program is not to feed children, it's to keep non-teaching staff on the payroll during the non-school summer months. Not only do we pay for unnecessary salaries etc, but for the abusive utility bills that come with opening inefficient school building in the summer heat.
---
One question for Council: When the Government Center services relocate to Columbus Square, will the public get its parking garage back at the Government Center?
---
L-E story: "The Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission recognized Dr. Edward Kinner with the Edna Kendrick Award at its recent awards luncheon.

In presenting the award, the story was told of how Kinner approached John Turner about eight years ago asking how he could help with the whitewater project." -- Hmmm, then how did GA Power get away with adding these ugly... real ugly contraptions on the power towers lining the RiverWalk?

---
L-E's "Thought for Today: “A lie has no leg, but a scandal has wings.” — Thomas Fuller, English clergyman (1608-1661). " -- Guess that means the DUMBERat Party symbol should be a legless vulture.

---

L-E headline: "France, Britain confirm use of sarin gas in Syria " -- Hmmm, where is that "line" Judas 00-bama demanded he see crossed before helping?

---

L-E's "Quotable “If you always do what interests you, at least one person is pleased.” _Katharine Hepburn American actress (1907-2003)" -- Hmmm, guess she met and advised Judas 00-bama before she died.

---

L-E headline: "Commentary: Mona Charen * How Obama gets us to forget his Afghan failure" -- Hmmm "Blame Bush"? Remember when Judas 00-bama was campaigning on the Iraq was the wrong place to be at war, he's take it to Afghanistan? Well, even the liobs are having their memories jogged by the assault on the other half of the 1st Amendment.

---

L-E story: "DETROIT — A defiant Chrysler is refusing to recall about 2.7 million Jeeps the government says are at risk of a fuel tank fire in a rear-end collision. " -- How much stock does the Government own in Chrysler? This alone is the reason Eric Holder cannot lead the investigation into the scandals he and Judas 00-bama are connected with.

---

Hmm, I'm still trying to figure out how pundits can stake Columbus' future to the Whitewater project after only the opening weekend. The launch site wasn't ready, the 14th Street Bridge wasn't ready, 'cut bait' wasn't ready, the big rafting dog bailed out before it opened, and the Mayor worked out a deal with the equipment providers for a fee instead of taxes (the tax situation is headed to the GA Attorney General with pretty good backup) supporting our LOSTs, SPLOST, and T-SPLOST taxes. Sorta reminds me of how these same pundits knew BRAC was going to be our salvation before this.

---

Tuesday, June 4, 2013

Now we hear that the Bomber Brothers were indeed milking the welfare system, and bought the pressure cookers with their EBT/food stamp cards. Sure, government programs work fine.

---

Ever notice that the folks that want to remind Christians of the biblical commands to love and give to your neighbors through government programs are the takers rather than givers?

---

With the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-NJ, Governor Christie has the opportunity to appoint a replacement. While his choice would/could have a slight effect on the balance of DUMBS/REPS in the Senate, he could appoint himself, and please the DUMBERats.

---

The NJ situation could be tricky. There are conflicting conditions in the NJ laws as to the protocol of Special Elections. New Jersey Democratic Party Chairman John Wisniewski said, "We have to see how the governor sees to enforce the law. If the law is not enforced correctly, we may need to go to the courts.” DOH! How do we trust any politicians, but particularly DUMBERat ones. There are conflicting laws in NJ because that's what the DUMBERats wanted just in case a situation like this ever arose. No matter which law Christie follows, the Wisniewski-led DUMBERats will file suit with a favorable c

judge if Christie's choice is not what Wisniewski wants.

---

There are alarming news items from the FDA and private sources about the food quality, well, lack of such, on foods imported from China. China just bought one of the oldest and most respected American food icons, Smithfield Hams of Virginia. When looking for a prestige gift for the next holiday season, perhaps you may want to change suppliers to, say, another fine American ham provider, Wayco Hams of Goldsboro, NC.

---

Speaking of foods and China, China has all but stopped buying Georgia peanuts. A lot of Georgia peanuts have been shipped in through Vietnam, which has less import taxes than shipping direct, so China just won't let Georgia peanuts in. Better check to see if your peanut butter has a 'made in China' byline... FOR SURE in the future.

---

When Hillary said, "What difference does it make?", she was talking about the truth and it not making any difference in the minds of the DUMBERat base.

---

Well, all those expensive AND overly invasive TSA airport scanners are gone. Guess they'll end up in the hands of the IRS so it can find that extra 2¢ conservatives have managed to save.

---

Now it's being circulated that the word in the White House suggests Holder step down... as he's now "a political maladroit" . Of course, it's also being said it's not all his fault. There is plenty of 'fault' to pass around, but when you get to the core, Holder & Judas 00-bama are equally responsible. When you have influence, whether given or thrust upon you, you either control it or it controls you.

---

Amid all the scandals surrounding him, Judas 00-bama has announced that he wants to focus on mental health problems. Hmmm, guess he has a lot if that close to home... Voter base, advisors, spokespersons, mainstream media...

---

Hey! There may be a future in promoting new tougher background check laws for gun purchases... add on a rider requiring the same mental health background check for voters. There's hardly a judge around that could rule against stripping DUMBERats of voting privileges once the judges have read ObamaCare.

---

McClatchy headline/story: "First Democratic senate ad runs away from Obama agenda * Mark Pryor of Arkansas on Friday became the first Democratic senator to air a TV ad in advance of next year's elections. * In the statewide ad, Pryor defends his decision to vote against an amendment pushed by the president to expand background checks for firearm sales. * “Nothing in the Obama plan would have prevented tragedies like Newtown, Aurora, Tuscon or even Johanesboro," he says looking into the camera. "I’m Mark Pryor. And I approve this message because no one from New York or Washington tells me what to do. I listen to Arkansas." -- Hey, Arkansans (and anyone who has friends/family in Arkansas, don't believe him! He ain't gonna vote against the DUMBERat mantra when he's in Washington.

---

McClatchy headline: "Feds could slow down California’s high-speed rail" -- Yeah, right. The Surface Transportation Board has three presidentially appoint members.. like they are going to stop a DUMBERat project in California... dream on. Hmm, but they might in GA since GA is Republican . Maybe we should all write the STB and stop any more waste of tax dollars on a high speed rail to Atlanta airport. To begin with, just Federal regulations covering luggage and passenger inspections, and the necessity to get to the depot so far ahead of time to do this, GROOM Transport or our personal transportation will get us to Atlanta easier and in less overall time.

---

L-E headline: "Performance, not seniority, top criterion for teacher layoffs in Muscogee County" -- Yeah, right... let's see upsetting the tenure clause in action.

---

Obviously a teacher (or teacher's spouse) worried-about-being-laid-off's "L-E "soundoff": "Teachers are paid to teach, not to make you learn. If half the students graduated, then the teacher did his/her part to teach. The other half just did not want to learn. " -- No, a teacher is paid to educate. That involves getting the students involved, engaged, not just orating or writing material on the board. This teacher could be replaced by a tape recorder.

---

Very low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The problem with a “Berlin Wall” on the Mexican Border would be the cost. Washington and state politicians would give the work to no-bid contractors. The final cost would be 10 times the original estimate. " -- Aside from pulling whatever figure's convenient at the time, this low-info voter would be blown away to know that even if the fence did cost 10X more, the cost would pale compared to annual expenditures now incurred for government programs supporting illegal aliens.

---

From the L-E's "Today in History": "In 1998, a federal judge sentenced Terry Nichols to life in prison for his role in the Oklahoma City bombing. " -- Now, looking back 15 years, tell us how Terry Nichols being alive has improved or enriched our lives, or soothed the losses so many Oklahoma City families still endure. Hang the guys publicly!

---

L-E story: " CINCINNATI — A Catholic school teacher who was fired after she became pregnant through artificial insemination (and unmarried, as well) was awarded more than $170,000 Monday after winning her anti-discrimination lawsuit against an Ohio archdiocese. * The jury said the archdiocese should pay a total of $71,000 for back pay and compensatory damages and $100,000 in punitive damages. Dias had sued the archdiocese and two of its schools; the jury didn’t find the schools liable for damages. * Steven Goodin, the attorney for the archdiocese and the schools, had argued Dias was fired for violating her contract, which he said required her to comply with the philosophies and teachings of the Catholic church. The church considers artificial insemination immoral and a violation of church doctrine" -- The part about artificial insemination was sketchy grounds for the church to stand against, but for an unmarried woman working under contract for the Catholic church should not be rewarded for engaging in such an irresponsible act of parenthood. Hope the church appeals.

---

L-E's "Late laughs": "The winner of the spelling bee gets $30,000 in cash. I can’t imagine what I’d have spent that kind of money on when I was 14. — Craig Ferguson" -- Well, Craig, when you were 14, $30K was a lot of money. The kid won't have to imagine spending $30K very long.

---

L-E story: "ATLANTA — Authorities say a man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for distributing child pornography over the Internet. * (U.S. Attorney spokesman Bob) Page says an undercover agent offered to trade child pornography images with Cashwell online. Page says Cashwell sent the agent five explicit videos — including one of a man raping a girl who was about 6 years old. * Page says Cashwell is ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release after his sentence. " -- We all know how non- effective government monitoring is unless you are a conservative being targeted by the IRS. The Boston Bombers were monitored... until government lost interest. Speaking of interest, why not just migrate Cashwell into the shower room wearing a "child abuser" t-shirt. The problem of a lifetime of tax dollars being wasted on scum would be saved.

Monday, June 3, 2013

Online story on Top/Bottom 10 states 'spending' per student:
1. New York
> Spending per pupil: $19,076
> Total education spending: $59.2 billion (2nd highest)
> Pct. with high school diploma: 85.0% (16th lowest)
> Median household income: $55,246 (16th highest)
50. Utah
> Spending per pupil: $6,212
> Total education spending: $4.2 billion (16th lowest)
> Pct. with high school diploma: 90.3% (14th highest)
> Median household income: $55,869 (14th highest)

-- Georgia was in neither group, but how interesting are these figures between the highest and lowest? Utah spends about 1/15th of what NY spends, has a higher graduation rate, and its citizens earn more than New Yorkers. This shoots the hell out of DOE figures and myths.

---

From the 'instant discrimination' department: "The New York Daily News reported Sunday that Blitzer's on-air time may be reduced as president Jeff Zucker continues his overhaul of programming. “Wolf is going to be gradually phased out and replaced with a younger, hipper host,” a source told the newspaper. “The decision has been made that people want to look at beautiful people, and although Wolf is no beast, they’re thinking younger.” -- When he was on air, Walter Cronkite dominated the news and trust of a nation. He was neither a spring chicken, nor a babe-magnet. People gravitate to the truth.

---

Online headline: "Egypt's Highest Court Rules Legislature Elected Illegally" -- Hmmm, where was Cuzzin Jimmy?

---

Online headline/pic: "Israeli Army Disciplines Female Soldiers For Racy Photos"

A female soldier from the 'Karakal' Battalion in action during training near the Israeli-Egyptian border on December 14, 2010 near Azoz, Israel. The Karakal is a mixed-sex battalion formed in 2004, with men and women serving together in this combat unit, based in the Negev desert on the borders with Egypt and Jordan" -- What's wrong with this pic? Looks more like a shot we might expect from a Victoria's Secret catalog. Who amongst you sights with your left eye and use your right hand on the trigger?

---

Online headline/story: "Roy Hibbert apologizes for use of gay slur, fined by NBA * Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert used the term "no homo" at the end of his response to a question about the Miami Heat's LeBron James * The phrase "no homo" is slang used by some to separate themselves from what could be construed as a gay, placing homosexuality in a negative light." -- I wish Hibbert would challenge the NBA fine on the basis of his 1st Amendment rights alone. Political correctness and sensitivity are something Hibbert has to deal with in his his position, but referring to James as "no homo" was a compliment... manliness and no weal wrist. Gays should offended that someone else has to speak up for them on such an issue.

---

I'm not sure whether there is a law on the books, but if not, there should be one about intentionally feeding feral cats on public property. Went on the River Walk just south of the Columbus Mills location, and someone, perhaps more than one person, has literally built a "cat station" between the Walk and the River. It's complete with boxes to sleep/climb on, and has stainless steel feeding and watering bowls. When I saw it, someone had been there pretty recently as the food bowl was nearly full. There was also a cat sleeping on the boxes, and it seemed rather upset that I was in its 'space'. I backed out and it calmed down again, but what if a child wandered in and tried to 'pet' that feral cat.....

---

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Tell it like it is. Fox News would say anything and do anything if they thought it would create problems for the Obama administration." -- The news is what it is, and Fox reports the news, Fox doesn't create it.

---

I do not understand why any Court of appeals would reverse a criminal case based on purely on 'ineffective counsel'. Facts are facts, and it's a jury that determines the case based on those facts. It ius not always about how they are presented, but on how the jury determines the value of any particular factin its decision. Now, I could see a Court of appeals sending a case back for "ineffective Jurying"; the jury for OJ or Casey Anthony would lead that group.

---

L-E's "Looking Back" feature: "President Kennedy today outlined his strong new civil rights proposals to Democratic legislative leaders. Speaker John W. McCormack … and other Democratic leaders called to the White House for an unusual Monday morning conference were tight-lipped about what the new program would entail." -- Oh, the rest of the story is that it passed only because Republicans voted for it.

---

L-E story: "BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Alabama Democrats delayed a planned vote for a new party chairman, a move the interim chair said Sunday meant the struggling organization could go several more months without a permanent leader. " -- A couple of word exchanges nad you's think this was about the MCSD's superintendent saga. Guess neither the Alabama DUMBERats' chairmanship or the MCSD superintendent job is that appealing.

---

Online story: "The IRS scandal grows crazier every day. A few days ago it was reported that Douglas Shulman, former IRS commissioner, had 157 White House visits during his tenure. According to The Daily Caller, “publicly released records show that embattled former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times during the Obama administration, more recorded visits than even the most trusted members of the president’s Cabinet.” * Now it is being reported that Shulman’s wife, Susan Anderson, is a senior program advisor for an organization which could have had very much to gain from IRS targeting of certain groups. * Here’s a simple question. Do you think that Shulman’s wife’s organization, Public Campaign, would have any interest in Crossroads GPS? $71 million is a lot of money and that seems to be the exact sort of thing that Public Campaign is fighting against." -- This scandal has more layers than a peeled onion...

---

Online story: "Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, brought to light new testimony from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees on Sunday. On CNN’s State of the Union Issa pointed out the that the Obama administration’s claim about “a few rogue agents” being the ones guilty of targeting political enemies is patently false and his committee provided transcriptions, in which a Cincinnati IRS employee was clear in stating that they were ordered by Washington, D.C. personnel to heavily scrutinize Tea Party groups. After providing transcripts, Issa gestured towards the image of White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and called him a “paid liar.” -- Every Judas 00-bama spinmeister is a paid liar. Just look at the fall-out of casualties of 00-bama appointees in the last 5 years.

---

Why aren't the raft riders charged sales taxes for the entertainment they purchase? Mayor Obamlinson says the Whitewater Express is selling"services", so it is not a taxable item. I say Whitewater Express is selling "seats" to a recreational event, no different from your sport, concert, movie, cruise, or airplane tickets.

---

Judas 00-bama is appointing a Republican to head the FBI. You know, there's truly madness to his methods. With a Republican in the hot seat, he guesses theRepublicans will ease up on scandals.

---
The only reason not to dispense immediate consequences to the IRS department heads is because they not only know about the dastardly acts, the people who should have been fired have the goods on you, and they would strike back in the press. Even "disgruntled" ex-employees have credibility in number.

---

Now the government Housing Tsars have decided that "zoning laws" are discriminatory. Without zoning, some contractor could erect a bunch of Mac-mansions next to a public housing complex and raise the value of the public housing so even with the tax supplemental assistance, no one could afford them. Either that or all the Mac-mansions would be empty.

---

Hmmm, wonder if IRS has a department that audits the use of tax dollars to hold governmental department resort area conferences? How about for itself? Seems that the figure of $50,000,000.00 is floating around that has been spent by the IRS on holding 'team building' retreats for its own employees over the last 3 years.

Cut Bait".... You know, you have ti wonder whether altering it with concrete mattresses before it was tested may be the reason it's dangerous at certain water flow rates. You also have to wonder whether that concrete pit will withstand the power of Mother Nature.

Sunday, June 2, 2013

A couple in Philadelphia were cuffed and detained in front of Independence Hall on May 18, 2013 for exercising their 1st Amendment right of Free Speech and Free Press. They were handing out flyers RE: Ending the Federal Reserve System, and were accosted by 2 Park Rangers who confiscated their remaining flyers and told they had to have a paid permit to do this. This was within steps of our Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall where our Declaration of Independence was signed. This also the home of 59 precincts that had not one vote cast for Mitt Romney in November of 2012. Both of these conditions need investigation , and by someone else than Eric Holder.

---

Online story: "Barack Obama’s Attorney for the Eastern district of Tennessee Bill Killian and Kenneth Moore, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Knoxville Division, want Americans to know that if you say something negative towards Islam or Muslims, the Federal government may imprison you." -- Hmmm, I guess "we" can't get upset at people who throw this in our face:

Anyone see this as inflammatory?

Online story: "A man was arrested for firing a warning shot at a burglar. Corey Thompson of Medford, Oregon, fired the shot when he found Jonathon Kinsella trying to break into his home. He has now been arrested for firing his weapon. * As a veteran, Thompson explains that grabbing his AR-15 was a natural reaction. He contends that it was never his intention to harm Kinsella, he simply wanted to frighten him off the property. Thompson reportedly warned the burglar that he would fire the warning shot before it happened. * Thompson served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Kinsella is a convicted felon, who was wanted at the time of the break-in. Despite the circumstances and the backgrounds of both men, Thompson was arrested for discharging his weapon. * Medford Police Lieutenant Mike Budreau states that Thompson simply went too far:“There was nothing that the suspect was doing that was aggressive enough to justify the shooting. * Thompson had to surrender his weapon as it was used in the commission of an alleged crime. He has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, and reckless endangerment. If found not guilty, his weapon will be returned." -- Huh? Attempting to break into someone's home is not "aggressive" enough? And now other felons know Thompson has been disarmed from protecting his home again? Wonder how many lawyers Judas 00-bama and Eric Holder will send to Medford to help persecute... uh prosecute Thompson, and make sure the felon has cable TV and 3 meals a day? Oh, and what about Bleep Veep Biden's permission to fire a warning shot?

Well, I hope the Columbus Black Museum and Archives is recording the insane number of black-on-black gun/drug related deaths that seem to escape meaningful discussion within the black community. There is no valid defense of the actions of mob mentality of 117 years ago, nor of court/police handling of such, but to harp on this when there is something that can be done about what is going on in today's real world environment is a disservice to the black community as well as the community as a whole.

The MCSD applauding the 1300 +/- local high school graduates is a perfect example of liberalism. True, we should be happy that 1300 students have been graduated, but the reality is "How many would have been graduated had all who started 4 years ago been encouraged, been motivated, to stay in school? Is the "class" half full or half empty?

---

L-E story concerning Common Cause's challenge to the new Atlanta Falcon Stadium's infusion of $200 MILLION tax dollars: "Sorry, Mr. Mayor, but private deals involving taxpayer money don't satisfy most people's definition of progress. Especially in a state that has tried repeatedly to legalize even more closed-door negotiations over private use of public assets." -- Hmmm, if I didn't know that Common Cause was talking about Atlanta's Mayor Reed, it could have been making this same argument to Mayor Obamalinson about Whitewater...

From Karl Douglass' opinion piece: "We must trust that those who will govern in the future will not unnecessarily undo the work of those who govern now. Further, we have to trust that those who will govern in the future will be guided by a sense of noble obligation and community pride that seeks to make our city better, not worse." -- Coming from a paid campaign staffer for Congressman Sanford Bishop, this already qualifies as the "Joke of the Century" and we have 87 more years left in it.

When is a promise not a promise? When a politician needs a spark to get re-elected or to get a Public Safety LOST or Education SPLOST tax approved by the voters.

L-E story: "No one was injured late Friday after a pistol accidentally discharged at Pla-to’s Closet in Columbus, police said. * Police said the gun fired around 7 p.m. inside the 5592 Whitesville Road business that buys and sells gently used clothing to young people. * Police didn’t state how the gun discharged" -- Knew it! Written by Hasn't Ever Ben Wright! Hmm, my guess is someone, whether intentionally or not, pulled the trigger. Hmm wonder if there is an investigator's job opening at the CPD... or as a real reporter at the L-E?

Online headline: "Giant Pink Slugs Found Living On 'Magical' Mountain In Australia" -- Ooops, my bad... thought some retired California Court of Appeals Judges had set up a timeshare community.

From the "what's wrong with this" department - Online headline: "Kindergarten Graduation Brawl Breaks Out In Cleveland" -- Yeah, that, too, but why are graduation ceremonies held for kindergartners? For that matter, why are graduation ceremonies held for 5th graders, or 8th graders as well? This is like 'participation trophies' for every kid on every youth sports team. Graduation... it's a SENIOR thing!

Hallelujah! Two major events have occurred in May. Our local NAACP called for an investigation as to why a black racist cop was kept on the CPD, and a national group is calling on Congress to investigate why abortion clinics seem to be committing genocide on children of black women. That should be short, as that's directly attributable to DUMBERat legislation. Guess the DUMBERats found a way to pad the voting lists for the future.

---

This IRS scandal should bring about discussion to take any appointive power out of the President's hands. Perhaps a panel of two Senators & 2 Representatives (chair & top minority member of such a committee) making a unanimous recommendation for a two-thirds vote by the Senate or maybe even the US Supreme Court, and giving up the right to plead the 5th must be waived by all IRS Department heads....... YEAH!

Ohio State University President Gordon Gee still has a job this morning?... Amazing... I'm willing to bet, that Ohio State may never get another Catholic athlete, maybe not even a Catholic student to attend OSU. Oh, and what about alumni donations?

How come liberal media is not holding the latest $590 Million dollar lottery winner up to public scorn? The same media scourged Romney for working hard and amassing a $250 Million dollar personal fortune while the lottery winner will amass more in one fell swoop at the expense of many low income lottery players?

Eric Holder's actions on so many fronts/scandals calls out for going back an reopening his actions on the New Black Panthers voting intimidation and attacks on state laws requiring photo voter ID's.

Guess now Judas 00-bama will be out trying to undo the "Bush41 student loan tax increase".

---

For what purpose would the State Department request, no, demand that Ambassador Chris Stevens' death certificate be filed under "John Doe"? Excuse me, for what reason you and I can, or will "buy"?

---

When you think about it, 00-bama & Holder made a good strategic move in saying they contacted NewsCorp concerning spying on Rosen. They knew this would be 'categorically denied', so 00-Obama's spinmeisters could say that Fox News knew, but is trying to smear his administration.... again! And, if 'they' had kept AP from finding out it had been bugged as well, such a conspiracy theory would be eagerly received by the mainstream media.

---

For the record, what Eric Holder said 'off the record' was that he was sorry for getting caught. By saying so 'off the record' is that he can swear he never said that 'for the record'.

IRS director Shulman visited the White House 157 times, Hillary Clinton and Timothy Geithner visited 40+ times each, and Judas 00-bama says he had no idea of what was going on. Judas 00-bama is making Bill Clinton look like the object of Diogenes's quest to find a honest man.

---

A president who says he doesn't know what's going on with departments that he appoints directors is not only lying, he's failed in his sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution.

An elementary school in Milwaukee, WI had a week of fun days... 'crazy hair day', crazy sock day... you know fun things... and Friday was "GENDER BENDER DAY! The school sent out flyers for the kids to cross-dress for Friday. One school board member remembers a day like when he was a student and saw nothing wrong with it. Most parents complied without a whimper. I pray nothing like this occurs in the MCSD... but, sadly, can see it being discussed.

Another online story of run amok schools:

Polk County, Florida has decided to scan children's eyes as a way of identifying and tracking them. Big brother gone wild. * Parents in Polk County, Florida, were outraged to learn that their children’s irises were scanned without permission as part of the school board’s new security program called Eye-Swipe Nano. * One parent took to Facebook, posting: “This is stolen information, and we cannot retrieve it.” * While the school board did disperse a letter addressing the new program, parents received it on May 27, five days after the program had already begun. Because parents were informed later in the week, not a single student was able to opt out of the EyeSwipe-Nano procedure. * School board Senior Director of Support Services Rob Davis praised the program and its security features." -- Stories like this would never happen if school boards were still appointed. Even our school system is 'controlled' by seemingly 'good intentioned' federal grant programs, but only politicians think it's free money and it will help me get re-elected.

Benghazi was the fault of a video--- IRS was the fault of two 'rogue agents'... everything before was 'Bush's fault'... Judas 00-bama must have been the Community Organizer for the Liars Club.

Judas 00-bama ordered Marines to be umbrella holders, then snubbed a saluting Marine, and now hot meals at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan are being eliminated. Why does the Commander-in-Grief disrespect our Marines, but wants better conditions for terrorists at Gitmo?
---
Whitewater... We're talking about two different river projects. What started as a restoration of the river by 'simply' removing two dams matriculated into a full-fledged amusement park at the expense of both taxpayers and the Chattahoochee. Dams were not removed.. they were altered, and probably more concrete has been added than was excavated out. The users, and those profiting from it, should be re-imbursing every tax dollar that's been put in it.
---
A local group is having a 'remember the hate' celebration on the corner of Broadway and 11th St this AM to 'commemorate' the 'mod hanging deaths' of two black men 117 years ago. There appear to be no plans to highlight the vast changes that have occurred since. Forgiveness is not within this group... don't believe that any of this group has a relationship with Christ.
---
Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Where did all the educational SPLOST money go? I think the school board needs an external audit immediately." -- This was a Shool Board SCAM from the git-go. The SPLOST was to fund nearly $225 MILLION in projects over 5 years. The truth was, and is, that there was NO WAY that this revenue target was attainable. The MOST a 1-cent tax had brought received in 1 year was $36 Million. If the SPLOST had 5 consecutive maximum years of revenue, the total to be expected would top out at $180 MILLION. The MCSD Board just padded the project lists, knowing they were unattainable, but just to look good to voters in each of their districts. Shame on the Board.. fire'em all at re-election time.

Students would be so much better off if schools left parenting to their parents and concentrated on preparing the students for their lives once they are through with school. We have too many "nanny" programs going on, and each of them drain resources that could be used to educate.

L-E/McClatchy headline: "Sequester more tremor than earthquake " -- It was less than 2% of the non-budget based spending. It was akin to doing with out two or three pieces from a movie box of M&Ms. It was a media panic. Media should be ashamed of its initial coverage of 'sequester'.

---

L-E story: "Two men face charges of cocaine possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after they allegedly provided crack cocaine to a 16-year-old boy Thursday. * Seventeen-year-old M------- A-------- faces charges of felony cocaine possession with intent to distribute and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Jermichael Bellamy, 20, is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. * police discovered that the tag belonged to a different vehicle * The officer also told the court that Bellamy has multiple felony convictions, including robbery and aggravated assault charges * Judge ____ set Bellamy’s bond at $20,500" -- This is exactly why current guns are ineffective and new gun laws are futile. Why would any judge allow bond to a previously convicted felon carrying an illegal gun, who has provided crack cocaine to a minor, and is a sure flight to run? Does the judge or any law the judge is operating under think the recidivist felon will be a model citizen until his court date?
