A couple in Philadelphia were cuffed and detained in front of Independence Hall on May 18, 2013 for exercising their 1st Amendment right of Free Speech and Free Press. They were handing out flyers RE: Ending the Federal Reserve System, and were accosted by 2 Park Rangers who confiscated their remaining flyers and told they had to have a paid permit to do this. This was within steps of our Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall where our Declaration of Independence was signed. This also the home of 59 precincts that had not one vote cast for Mitt Romney in November of 2012. Both of these conditions need investigation , and by someone else than Eric Holder.

Online story: "A man was arrested for firing a warning shot at a burglar. Corey Thompson of Medford, Oregon, fired the shot when he found Jonathon Kinsella trying to break into his home. He has now been arrested for firing his weapon. * As a veteran, Thompson explains that grabbing his AR-15 was a natural reaction. He contends that it was never his intention to harm Kinsella, he simply wanted to frighten him off the property. Thompson reportedly warned the burglar that he would fire the warning shot before it happened. * Thompson served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Kinsella is a convicted felon, who was wanted at the time of the break-in. Despite the circumstances and the backgrounds of both men, Thompson was arrested for discharging his weapon. * Medford Police Lieutenant Mike Budreau states that Thompson simply went too far:“There was nothing that the suspect was doing that was aggressive enough to justify the shooting. * Thompson had to surrender his weapon as it was used in the commission of an alleged crime. He has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, and reckless endangerment. If found not guilty, his weapon will be returned." -- Huh? Attempting to break into someone's home is not "aggressive" enough? And now other felons know Thompson has been disarmed from protecting his home again? Wonder how many lawyers Judas 00-bama and Eric Holder will send to Medford to help persecute... uh prosecute Thompson, and make sure the felon has cable TV and 3 meals a day? Oh, and what about Bleep Veep Biden's permission to fire a warning shot?

Well, I hope the Columbus Black Museum and Archives is recording the insane number of black-on-black gun/drug related deaths that seem to escape meaningful discussion within the black community. There is no valid defense of the actions of mob mentality of 117 years ago, nor of court/police handling of such, but to harp on this when there is something that can be done about what is going on in today's real world environment is a disservice to the black community as well as the community as a whole.

The MCSD applauding the 1300 +/- local high school graduates is a perfect example of liberalism. True, we should be happy that 1300 students have been graduated, but the reality is "How many would have been graduated had all who started 4 years ago been encouraged, been motivated, to stay in school? Is the "class" half full or half empty?

L-E story concerning Common Cause's challenge to the new Atlanta Falcon Stadium's infusion of $200 MILLION tax dollars: "Sorry, Mr. Mayor, but private deals involving taxpayer money don't satisfy most people's definition of progress. Especially in a state that has tried repeatedly to legalize even more closed-door negotiations over private use of public assets." -- Hmmm, if I didn't know that Common Cause was talking about Atlanta's Mayor Reed, it could have been making this same argument to Mayor Obamalinson about Whitewater...

Further, we have to trust that those who will govern in the future will be guided by a sense of noble obligation and community pride that seeks to make our city better, not worse." -- Coming from a paid campaign staffer for Congressman Sanford Bishop, this already qualifies as the "Joke of the Century" and we have 87 more years left in it.
