Hallelujah! Two major events have occurred in May. Our local NAACP called for an investigation as to why a black racist cop was kept on the CPD, and a national group is calling on Congress to investigate why abortion clinics seem to be committing genocide on children of black women. That should be short, as that's directly attributable to DUMBERat legislation. Guess the DUMBERats found a way to pad the voting lists for the future.

This IRS scandal should bring about discussion to take any appointive power out of the President's hands. Perhaps a panel of two Senators & 2 Representatives (chair & top minority member of such a committee) making a unanimous recommendation for a two-thirds vote by the Senate or maybe even the US Supreme Court, and giving up the right to plead the 5th must be waived by all IRS Department heads....... An elementary school in Milwaukee, WI had a week of fun days... 'crazy hair day', crazy sock day... you know fun things... and Friday was "GENDER BENDER DAY! The school sent out flyers for the kids to cross-dress for Friday. One school board member remembers a day like when he was a student and saw nothing wrong with it. Most parents complied without a whimper. I pray nothing like this occurs in the MCSD... but, sadly, can see it being discussed.

Whitewater... We're talking about two different river projects. What started as a restoration of the river by 'simply' removing two dams matriculated into a full-fledged amusement park at the expense of both taxpayers and the Chattahoochee. Dams were not removed.. they were altered, and probably more concrete has been added than was excavated out. The users, and those profiting from it, should be re-imbursing every tax dollar that's been put in it.

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Where did all the educational SPLOST money go? I think the school board needs an external audit immediately." -- This was a Shool Board SCAM from the git-go. The SPLOST was to fund nearly $225 MILLION in projects over 5 years. The truth was, and is, that there was NO WAY that this revenue target was attainable. The MOST a 1-cent tax had brought received in 1 year was $36 Million. If the SPLOST had 5 consecutive maximum years of revenue, the total to be expected would top out at $180 MILLION. The MCSD Board just padded the project lists, knowing they were unattainable, but just to look good to voters in each of their districts. Shame on the Board.. fire'em all at re-election time.

Students would be so much better off if schools left parenting to their parents and concentrated on preparing the students for their lives once they are through with school. We have too many "nanny" programs going on, and each of them drain resources that could be used to educate.

Why would any judge allow bond to a previously convicted felon carrying an illegal gun, who has provided crack cocaine to a minor, and is a sure flight to run? Does the judge or any law the judge is operating under think the recidivist felon will be a model citizen until his court date?
