I am going on a diet...Not too long ago, one of my daughters stuffed my
granddaughter's "Ladybug" pillow under my then 18 month old's shirt, causing it
to have a pillowy effect. She then asked her niece, "where's Ladybug", then

not in sight, and Sophia was asked, "where's Labybug?". She turned and patted me

This reminds me of a true story concerning my Mother's first teaching job.
She was teaching in a North Carolina high school. An election was coming up in
November so she was constantly talking about the citizens taking their voting
rights more seriously. She had students aged 21 who were eligible to vote. On
Election Day, Mother called in "sick". She was only 20 at the time, and with all
the preaching she had done about voting, she was afraid some student would ask
her if she had voted. She couldn't lie about such, and she was afraid for the
students to know some of them were actually older than she was, so she played
hooky.

When my Dad died in 2003, my sister's husband took a final picture of us 4
siblings on the steps of the home we grew up in, and my sister had that picture
put on coffee mugs for each of us with the caption, "The Kirven "Boys" from 833"
. My sister was never the last person picked in a neighborhood pick up game, so
we all said "counting my sister, I have 3 brothers". Having had bad luck with
"special mugs" being destroyed by dishwasher soaps, I rarely used it over the
past 10 years, making sure to handwash it when I did. I'm using it now, and it
brings me solace as I deal with the death of our oldest brother.

Interesting... After spending 45 minutes mesmerized ... NOT... by one, BUT
two flat screen TVs bookending the waiting line with HLN's SBT show on
highlighting the life of Miley Cyrus, I left the Tag office, but took a side
trip by the natatorium next door at 1:00. No wonder Parks&Rec couldn't
devise a plan to cover the area without losing money. I witnessed the pool area
with one adult swimmer doing laps, and a woman watching over her 2 kids in the
play pool. There were 3 Lifeguards on active duty, and three ladies manning the
ticket booths, plus sundry employees in various office areas. It's one thing to
price services at a break even rate, but when you have 8 people on the clock for
3 users... It's a financial disaster waiting to happen... no, a financial

close' to home... Yesterday AM, one of my nephews called me. It was New Year's
Day. Not that it was usual to get such a call, but it was one that started out
as a pleasant surprise. Until... until he said his dad had died just a bit
earlier. His dad, you see, is my brother; my older brother. He was only 70.
That's young in our family... way too young. I'm 66.

children, illegally smuggled into the US to their illegal immigrant parents.

first phase going forward, * The first phase is expected to cost about $15
million, Williams said. Nine million will come from federal and state tax
credits, $4.4 million from the housing authority, $1 million from the
Consolidated Government and a $600,000 mortgage, he said. The cost and funding
will be similar for phase two" -- Wait a minute! Who is getting tax credits? I
thought you had to be working as a citizen to get any sort of tax credit. This
sounds like a program designed by Bernie Madoff.. government confiscates taxes,
builds something, then gives itself a tax credit which taxpayers are basically
double-billed, then government repeats the same process for the next phases..
Question: what's government gonna do with the tax credits it gets on phase 3
since there is no phase 4 to apply them to?

keeping its members accountable, but when cases like this arise, the ABA should
have its 'powers' stripped going forward, and a judge should order the
plaintiff's lawyer to pay for the defendants annoyances.

Can't wait until the Oscars this year to see Hollywood brand Justin Bieber
