Online story: "The Arkansas Supreme Court says a lower-court judge overstepped his jurisdiction by halting the executions of eight death row inmates, but then granted its own stay so the inmates have enough time to challenge a state law that shields the source of death penalty drugs from the public." -- Good grief.. Where's HILLsbury DOUGHgirl when we need her.. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES the "source of death penalty drugs" MAKE! Did the (_*_)s on death row inform their victims of what brand of bullets they were using to kill them?

---
From the "how stupidly biased can mainscream get" department -- Online story: "The Texas boy arrested for bringing to school a homemade clock that was mistaken for a bomb is moving to Qatar, his family said on Tuesday, a few hours after he was at the White House for an astronomy night hosted by President Barack Obama. * A***** M***(_*_)**, 14, a bespectacled ninth-grader who became an Internet sensation for an arrest that supporters said was influenced by bias against his Muslim religion, has accepted an offer from the Qatar Foundation to study at its Young Innovators Program." -- "to study at its Young Innovators Program"? Yeah.. Qatar thinks it looked like a bomb, too, but also see that perhaps some suicide bomber could get away with taking a bomb that looks like a clock into an American school or the White House.

---
Online headline/story: "How serious is Donald Trump? * His campaign lacks one essential tool * He has a commanding lead in the polls, but Donald Trump is the only Republican presidential candidate who hasn't purchased a database of voter information, which political campaigns use to target supporters and mobilize them on election day." -- "hasn't purchased a database of voter information"? Good grief.. How well has purchasing "a list" worked for all the "also ran" candidates? For that matter, how did purchasing "a list" work for McCain & Romney? How effective can "a list" be when it hasn't produced a winner.. not even a contender in the primary jockeying? Trump doesn't need "a list".. people are responding to him because of his leadership.

---
Online headline: "US Marine stuns with a total transformation * The 33-year-old, born Matthew, served six combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before beginning her transformation in 2012." -- "her transformation"? Whoa..

---
Online headline: "Biden contradicts Clinton account of bin Laden raid – and his own" -- Good grief.. what chance does a liberal have to get elected if he/she ever tells the truth? Oh, well, what chance does he/she have if he/she doesn't lie?

---
It's amazing...Obamageddon tapped Biden as his running mate pretty much insuring his good health as no one, even Democrats,  wanted Biden to sit in the Oval Office. Now Democrats are looking toward him as a healthy alternative for Bernie and HILLsbury DOUGHgirl. Go figure..

---
Online headline/story: "Saudi prince avoids felony sex assault charges * Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud, 28, was arrested last month after a bleeding woman fled from his LA mansion. * Los Angeles County prosecutors announced late Monday that they will not file felony sexual assault charges against a Saudi prince arrested last month at a compound near Beverly Hills (despite the bloodied woman's presence, the prosecutor cited insufficient evidence) . * Los Angeles County prosecutors announced late Monday that they will not file felony sexual assault charges against a Saudi prince arrested last month at a compound near Beverly Hills." -- Excuse me.. but if the 28 Saudi prince doesn't have diplomatic immunity, probably no job,  and is not an American citizen.. he's basically an illegal alien.. Trump is so right!

---
nline headline: "Russia, US reach deal to avoid fights over Syrian skies" -- Good grief.. wonder what Kerry gave away this time!

---
Online headline: "Bill Clinton to headline rally for wife" -- Good grief...it would be more believable if he'd supported her when he was president...

---
Online headline: "ISIS might have used lethal chemical weapon" -- Well.. like ISIS should be worried about Obamageddon crossing the line in the sand he drew when ASSwad was using chemical weapons years ago?

---
You know, if we can't get Newt Gingrich "in House" as Speaker, I can live with Paul Ryan.

---
L-E story: "A 37-year-old man who was shot multiple times on Southside Court in July died today at Midtown Medical Center, authorities said. * Eric Shaw was pronounced dead of blood clots to both lungs *  (The Coroner) said Shaw didn’t die of gunshot wounds, but died as a result of the shooting almost three months ago." -- Good grief.. last week a jury convicted a woman of assault with a deadly weapon, but not of murder.. what chance do we have on the prosecutor getting this killer convicted since the Coroner has said the shooting victim did not die of his gunshot wounds?

---
Canada just proves that when low motivated people with poor education are promised free stuff, it's easy to buy their votes. No wonder Bernie and HILLsburt DOUGHgirl sound good to Democrat voters.

---
Of course "W" bashes Cruz...he's trying to generate Texas donations for his Florida brother.
---
Online story: "San Francisco supervisors vigorously reaffirmed the city's status as a sanctuary city on Tuesday, nearly four months after a woman was killed by a Mexican national who had been released from jail despite federal requests to detain him for deportation proceedings." -- Why cannot we expel California from the United States and build the border fence on its Eastern border?

---
Online story: "Senate Democrats on Tuesday blocked a Republican-backed bill that would crack down on so-called sanctuary cities by threatening to withhold funds to local governments that don't cooperate with federal immigration officials." -- Trump.. not only right.. we need him!

---
Jim Webb has dropped out of the Democrat candidates running for its presidential nomination. Now who's going to be the other bookend for the next DNC debate.

---
Ypu know.. if Biden officially enters before the next Democrat debate.. it'll mean 5 candidates again on stage.. who will the DNC put in the middle slot?

---
A poll shows 60% if kids think everybody should get a trophy for "participating " versus only trophies for the winners/runners-up. Liberals have destroyed the work ethic. This is why we need Trump.

---
Online story: "When San Francisco middle school principal Lena Van Haren saw which kids on her campus had been elected to the student council, she was disturbed at the lack of diversity among the winners. There were no Latino or black candidates chosen for the top four spots." -- WHAT! Good grief..this school has 80% minority students .. what is this awful liberal principal telling the kids..that they can't vote for people of other races? Get her out of school now..it's obvious that  the students have a better grasp of community than she does!

---
Professional pundits keep saying Trump would be a foreign affairs disaster because he doesn't understand the restraints ..the intricacies... of diplomacy.. Well, what has Obamageddon's approach..for that matter, what did "W"'s or Clinton's approach,  do for America's world respect. Let's face it..none of theses 3rd world despots understand anything but a strong response. Look at what Reagan sending in missiles to take out the guard towers at Ghaddafy's compound did to shut him up.

---
With an assist from a fellow BCer - This is an interesting map by the perspective it demonstrates.. It shows all the countries that give foreign aid:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liberals just don't get it...how many of the mass shootings have happened in areas that guns are allowed..? Gun Free Zones are their preference.. FOR OBVIOUS REASONS!

---
You know... before any government body can raise taxes on the people who pay their salaries, it should be a law that all government salaries be cut by the same percentage they are seeking. Bet budgets would be better managed as well.

---
L-E headline/story: "Fourth Street Towers renovation completed * The funding for the project came from a combination of federal community block grants administered by the city of Columbus and a bank loan" -- "grants"? "administered by the city of Columbus"?  Didn't we just read about an investigation headed up by Mike Bowers of an Atlanta situation of tax dollars being illegally used for work on private property?  How can this not be the same!
---
L-E headline/story: "Oprah Winfrey explores faith and spirituality in series ‘Belief’ * “We live in a world where when your belief isn’t the same, you literally can get your head chopped off,” she said at the series’ premiere Wednesday in New York" -- Hmmm.. bet Oprah doesn't get invited back to the White House.. well unless Trump gets elected..
---
Online story: "The powers that be in Edina, Minnesota have a problem with alcohol.
Officials there are attributing a 7 percent hike in property taxes to rapidly declining sales at city-owned liquor stores.
After years of operating some of the state’s most profitable municipal liquor stores, Edina faces a sobering reality. Profits and payments to the city’s general fund continue to plummet in the face of competition from a nearby Total Wine and More superstore, which entered the marketplace in 2014." -- While I applaud Edina for making a profit that benefited  taxpayers.. what this shows is that private industry can do the same thing better.. Now taxpayers who don't drink will have higher taxes  because the City gouged the drinkers, while the drinkers, who will have to pay the higher taxes as well, can rejoice at getting a break on liquor costs.
---
Online headline: "STATE DEPARTMENT SUDDENLY DISCOVERS 1,300 PAGES OF AMB. STEVENS’ EMAIL" -- Well.. Deja Vu all over again.. remember the Rose Law firm "lost files" that suddenly reappeared on a hall table in the lobby of Hilary's old law firm?
---

Online headline: "Ole Miss student senate seeks to remove state flag from campus" -- Good luck with that! In 2010, students voted on replacing the their Col Reb mascot with a Black Bear, but every end zone paint job at Ole Miss still has "Rebels" scrawled across an end zone.

Online story: "Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee Olympic runner who fatally shot his girlfriend in 2013, was released from prison and placed under house arrest on Monday night, a South African official said." -- Good grief... Pissed-all-over-us served less than a year in prison...what are they going to do.. put a monitor anklet on all of his removable prostheses?

---
Online story: " Democrats on the House committee investigating the deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya, issued a report Monday disputing what they say are unsubstantiated claims about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by some Republican members of Congress and GOP presidential candidates." -- "disputing what they say are unsubstantiated claims about the former Secretary of State"? Which one... that HILLsbury DOUGHgirl worked for the US rather than herself?

---
Online story: m"An anonymous hacker claims to have breached CIA Director John Brennan's personal email account and has posted documents online, including a list of email addresses purportedly from Brennan's contact file. * The CIA said it referred the matter to the proper authorities, but would not comment further." -- "referred the matter to the proper authorities"? There are proper authorities higher than the CIA... wait a minute.. there are PROPER authorities in the spy business!

---
Online headline/story: "Obama administration backs bill to reduce prison time * It would eliminate mandatory life sentences for three-time, nonviolent drug offenders, reducing those minimum sentences to 25 years.
The aims of the bill are to make the sentencing system fairer, reduce recidivism and contain rising prison costs." -- "reduce recidivism"? How will putting a 3-time drug dealer back on the street reduce recidivism?

---
Online headline/story: "Canadian Liberals win landslide majority in election, unseat Conservative government * the Liberals won 184 seats. The Conservatives were a distant second with 99 seats, while the left-wing New Democratic Party placed third with 44 seats. * "We beat fear with hope," Justin Trudeau said in his victory speech to supporters in Montreal early Tuesday. "We beat cynicism with hard work. We beat negative, divisive politics with a positive vision that brings Canadians together. Most of all we defeated the idea that Canadians should be satisfied with less." *  Trudeau promises to raise taxes on the rich and run deficits for three years to boost government spending" -- "promises to raise taxes on the rich and run deficits for 3 years"? Good grief.. sounds like the US poltical playbook of Bernie & HILLsbury DOUGHgirl on steroids...besides.. the top 25 Billionaires in Canada (based on Canadian dollars) combined have less than just Gates and Buffett.. so who are they going to raise taxes on?

---
A Washington School system odered a football coach not to pray after a football game.. on what basis.. that he was praising God? Good grief.. it's not like he was asking for unfair outside help before the game was over. Even more beautiful was that the opposing coach and some of his school's fans joined the coach as well. How do people who challenge the US Constitution's Amendments get put in charge of educating our future leaders?

---
L-E headline/story: "Muscogee County School Board split vote supports putting property tax freeze thaw proposal on ballot * Although the school board isn't required to vote on whether the proposal should become a referendum, Tomlinson has said the legislative delegation prefers a local consensus from the governing bodies before taking such a request to the state capitol." -- "isn't required to vote on whether the proposal should be a freferendum?..."a local consensus of the governing bodies"? How about being more accurate, L-E, these are the two groups that have taxing authority endowed by the citizens and the property owners have already spoken twice on the issue. PS -  With all the ills within our school system, why did the MCSB waste so much time on a non-school issue/discussion?

---
L-E story: "While media has focused on the demands of the rebel group to weaken the House leadership still further, it has missed a crucial piece of breaking news. Rep. Daniel Webster of Florida, the candidate for House Speaker endorsed by the rebel faction, has just seen his congressional district cut out from under him by a Florida court ruling against Republican gerrymandering. * Gerrymandering? Mention it and most of the current generation of political reporters roll their eyes, dismissing it as an age-old and therefore irrelevant political malady." -- "Republican gerrymandering"? Whoa.. let's go back 15 years to what the Democrats in GA tried to do following the 2000 Census.. Democrats carved out three districts with "arms" that incorporated minority majority areas of cities with nothing in common to create "super minority districts" that would guarantee Democrat representatives. Fortunately, the courts threw this out.. In effect, what the Democrats basically did was attempt to revise the "reservation system" that worked so well for the Indians...

---
ou know.. what the once-a-week garbage pick-up has done is basically stolen "long weekends" from citizens in north Columbus...think about it.. with Monday & Thursday pick-ups, north Columbus citizens could put out there trash on Thursday then take off on that afternoon after the cans were emptied, and stay through Monday and not worry about stinky garbage being left in their garages. Now, with Monday only pick-up, going off on a long weekend means garbage put in the garage sits until the second Monday.  (hey.. I'm not talking about government holidays when garbage pick-up days are altered)

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-quadruple extra stupid with a jalepeno pepper on top LIV's L-E "soundoff": " To Councilors Allen, Thomas and Huff: You may try to keep us from voting on the tax freeze, but we still get to vote on you." -- First, you're not getting to vote "on" the tax freeze, you'd be voting to raise your taxes.. secondly, regardless of the outcome, voters in on these Councilors districts wanted their representatives to preserve the freeze.. thirdly, this person probably works for Mayor ObamaLYINGson anyway..

---
Online headline: "Illegal immigrants ask Georgia Supreme Court for right to sue over denial of in-state tuition " -- Good grief.. how does any court in our nation give any "standing"  to a non-citizen over something that is reserved to the American citizens of our state?

---
Online story: "The state’s first-ever presidential “Peanut Poll,” a straw vote being conducted at the annual Georgia National Fair in Perry, has become the largest straw poll in America, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp announced Friday." -- good grief.. just what Georgia needs .. fodder for the mainscream media to refer to Georgians as the "goober vote".. let's just pray that not only was this the first such "vote", but the LAST as well.

---
Online story: "The Georgia Lottery Corp. doesn’t typically trot out its quarterly numbers. * But the first quarter of fiscal 2016 was so strong lottery officials couldn’t resist. * The lottery brought in a record $253.9 million in profits for education during July, August and September, surpassing last year’s first-quarter transfer to the HOPE Scholarship and pre-kindergarten programs by nearly $26 million, the lottery announced Friday.
 * “Our fiscal year is off to a strong start,” lottery President and CEO Debbie Alfordsaid. “It is rewarding to know that Georgians support our products and lottery-funded educational programs.” -- Good grief.. if it's a record setting profit, it's only because the GA Lottery has cut back on HOPE Scholarship distributions.. now we have to wait for "the other shoe to drop".. you know the one where the GA Lottery announces pay raises and bonuses for the executives...

---
L-E story: " WASHINGTON — A U.S. ambassador in a dangerous country asks the State Department for more security. Washington sends the ambassador a request for advice on talking points. *  Rep. Trey Gowdy, the chairman of a panel investigating the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012 is describing ambassador Chris Stevens’ pleas, and Washington’s response, as a “total disconnect” that left the U.S. consulate vulnerable to attack. “He didn’t need help with (public relations), and he was asking for more security,” Gowdy said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” -- " he was asking for more security"? Hey HILLsbury DOUGHgirl... THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE!

---
L-E's "Quotable" feature: "Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is the right thing to do." - Potter Stewart, American jurist (1915-1985)" -- Hmmm another of the adages available that will not grace the walls of HILLsbury DOUGHgirl's or DNC's offices.

---
L-E editorial comment headline: "Cigarette tax is about revenue, not public health" -- Good grief.. Donald Trump has opened the eyes of even the editorial staff at the L-E...after all the taxes  issued on cigarettes over the years that were "earmarked" for health programs, the L-E finally notices the oxymoronic nature of them.

---
L-E story: " More than a dozen years ago, the newspaper went into Muscogee County Superior Court asking for records related to the shooting death of Kenneth Walker by a Muscogee County Sheriff’s deputy. *   It was tense. The newspaper wanted the records; the sheriff’s office, in my opinion, was being less than forthcoming. *  After it was over, one of the deputies, Randy Robertson, and I exchanged words in the hallway of the Government Center basement. It got heated, to the point I thought he was about to throw a punch. I wasn’t backing down, but if he ever hit me, he would have crushed me. *  Cooler heads prevailed. I remember one of the deputies saying something like, “It’s not worth losing your job for hitting a reporter." -- Hmmm.. "It’s not worth losing your job for hitting a reporter"? Looks like Chuck really set himself up on this one.. it seems his status changed over the years..and Randy has been steadfast.

L-E story: "CBS has refused to run advertising for “Truth,” the film starring Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford that revisits a painful episode in the network’s past involving a discredited 2004 news story on former President George W. Bush’s military service record. *  CBS has denounced the movie, which opens Friday, as a disservice to the public and journalists." -- LOL! CBS... worried about "Truth"? When has it ever been worried about "Truth".. especially in reporting it as news.. The reality is that Redford will probably have an "alternative ending" anyway, so it should be renamed "Truth... as CBS Sees It". Oh,, relax CBS.. the movie is about "Truth"..not "The Truth"...

Online headline: 'GOP: Probe into Benghazi is not targeted at Clinton * The Republican head of the investigation into the Benghazi attack said Sunday he is not seeking to take down the Democratic front-runner." -- Hmmm... he's right.. HILLsbury DOUGHgirl has already taken herself down...the GOP just wants to make sure she is held accountable..

---
Online story: "A federal probe into allegations of corruption at Wal-Mart Stores Inc's (WMT.N) Mexico operations has found few major offenses, and is likely to result in a much smaller case than investigators expected, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the situation.
The three-year investigation is mostly complete and the case could be resolved with a fine and without any criminal charges * a paper trail of suspect payments totaling more than $24 million was found" -- Good grief.. the DOJ tried to hammer Walmart for trying to expedite its business plan in the standard Mexican manner by sending 24 Million dollars, yet the DOJ seems to turn a deaf ear and blind eye on Mexico sending upwards of 24 Million of its problem population to the US..

---
Online headline: "Double shark attacks rattle Hawaii island" -- Oooops, my bad...just thought I  ha missed the article on Obamageddon and Michele arriving at the same vacation site at the same time.

---
Online story: "Hawaii saw a 23 percent increase in its unsheltered homeless population between 2014 and 2015, and a 46 percent increase in the number of unsheltered families, said Scott Morishige, state homelessness coordinator. * There were 7,260 homeless people in Hawaii at the latest count, meaning Hawaii has the highest rate of homelessness per-capita of any state in the nation. * The state has identified $1.3 million to expand services to homeless individuals and families," -- $1,3 Million for 7260 people.. what's that.. $179.00 a head? I imagine most of that is for hiring a staff to count them.

---
In a list compiling the first to worst consumer satisfaction levels of car manufacturers.. the bottom 3.. numbers 25, 26, and 27, are Jeep, Chrysler, and Fiat.. the team put together by Obamageddon via "bailout" at the expense of the American taxpayers. Figures doesn't it..

---
Hey Moon beam Brown.. just sign a bill making mudslides illegal and you've solved that problem, too.

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poor Branding is not Pakistan's Biggest Problem" -- "branding"? HuffPOOPOO considers "branding" a Pakistani issue? HuffPOOPOO must have an ex+HILLsbury DOUGHgirl strategist as its International Editor..

---
Online headline/story: "Canceled California wedding leads to feast for homeless * After a California couple called off their wedding, the bride-to-be's family decided to turn the $35,000 extravagant event into a feast for the homeless. * rather than cancel (you guessed it.. non-refundable) the reception, they invited Sacramento's homeless for a once in a lifetime meal Saturday at the Citizen Hotel, one of the city's finest venues *  About 90 homeless single people, grandparents and whole families with newborns showed up and enjoyed a meal that included appetizers, salad, gnocchi, salmon, and even tri-tip." -- And I'm sure the Citizen Hotel staff was thrilled at the situation... NOT! This sorta reminds me of the French Revolution.. when Marie Antoinette, learning the peasants had no bread, is said too have said, "Let them eat cake"...only in thois case, it was "let'em eat hors d'oeuvres"...

---
Online headline: "Kerry calls for end to 'senseless' Mideast violence after latest Israel attack" -- Good grief.. isn't this the same Kerry who just put Iran on the path to nuclear weaponry?

We drove over to Birmingham yesterday on some family business.. Bought gas for the return trip I didn't even need because regular gas was priced at $1.839 per gallon.. Thank you legislators for all thos extra taxes you added to our gas in GA....NOT!

L-E headline: "2015 International Sniper Competition kicks off today" -- If you get a chance to break away from your daily humdrum..this is open to the public (get passes/directions at I-885 visitor's center) , and well worth your time and effort to go see first hand.. I was fortunate to be asked to be the "official photographer" for the first two competition (2007-08) and was truly impressed at the skills and dedication of these men. It's a memory I'll never forget...

---
The camouflage suits (ghillies) are truly remarkable.. the soldiers add area indigenous grasses to their basic covers, and they truly "disappear" in the surrounding environment. I stood still trying to spot one during one competition, and it was until I heard the "pfft" as he fired at his target that I spotted him.. though if I had stepped 8" sideways, I would have stepped on him.

---
The Democratic Debate reminded me of a police line-up.. filled with the usual suspects, and the viewers are suppose to pick one as the winner...

---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Being a good debater should not be a prerequisite for being president." -- Yeah but being a leader and good deal maker is.. and DNC sent neither to their debate, and only Trumps has stood out in the Republican ones.

---
From the L-S's "Today in history" feature: " Ten years ago, a defiant Saddam Hussein pleaded innocent to charges of premeditated murder and torture as his trial opened in Baghdad." -- Hmmm.. after seeing a jury find a person guilty of assault but not guilty of killing he man, I'd lay odds that if Saddam Hussein had gotten his trial assigned to Columbus, his lawyers could have picked a jury that would have acquitted him.

---
L-E headline: "House Republicans return to face leadership mess" -- Well, what did the mainscream media expect.. Obamageddon is still in the White House.

---
L-E guest Commentary headline: St. Louis Post-Dispatch * Inflation may mean hikes in medical costs" -- Good grief.. can't liberals get anything right? Since healthcare is 1/6th of our economy, it's medical cost hikes that will fuel inflation!

---
L-E story: "The Muscogee County School Board will vote on a property tax assessment freeze resolution at its meeting tonight." -- Good grief.. "will vote on....tonight"?  How about "rubber stamping" it...There's already an MCSD "resolution drawn and printed agreeing to do this and the vote tonight is a sham at a minimum.. We know it will get at least 7-2 vote "for".. (though possibly a 6-3 vote and an outside chance at a 5-4 vote) but there is hope some of the other members will look at the support Myers and Thomas have from their districts and remember there are re-elections scheduled in a little more than 6 months.

---
You know.. tonight's Monday.. and now ABC has "Monday Night Dancing" rtaher than Monday NIght Football on its schedule.. nah.. ABC hasn't become more  liberal over the years... That's my story and it's sticking like molasses..

---
Good grief.. with a whole weekend of news available, the L-E could only put out an 18-page edition.. pathetic.

Online headline: "Season's first big snow to hit the US this weekend" -- Hmmm.. guess the Democratic Party debate didn't count as the first one...

---
Online headline: "North Korea reportedly willing to sign peace treaty with US to end conflict" -- Hmmm... sorta reminds me of the time Al Capp's "Dogpatch" declared war on the USA.. then immediately surrendered, and the USA completely rebuilt Dogpatch with "post war aid". either that, or N. Korea is drooling over what the Irani got during its negotiations.

---
Online headline: "Hawaii declares emergency for homelessness crisis" -- Hmmm... so this is where Obamageddon's Aunty Zeituni moved...

---
Online headline: "Clinton suggests she'd consider mandatory gun buy-backs" -- Yeah.. like criminals would take a loss on the cost of securing illegally attained weapons...

HuffPOOPOO headline: "Julian Castro Backs Clinton For President" -- What is it with the Democrats that attract support of Castros?

---
Did you see the kick attempt at the end of the Michigan-Mich State game? Did it remind you of some classic last second Auburn wins over Bama? Do you think the Michigan coach might be a cousin of Nick Saban?

---
I think it's becoming evident that UGA QB Grayson Lambert may not have been such a good choice as a transfer player to UGA. His play shows why he wasn't playing at Virginia.

---
You know, if you support Mayor ObamaLYINGson's efforts to raise your own taxes, if you own a home under the freeze, you can go ahead and stop the "Home Exemption" and pay the higher and escalating amounts voluntarily.

---
Jonathan Gruber clone LIV's L-E "soundoff": "To members of the House and Senate pressuring Obama to do something about Russia and Syria: Do you guys want World War III? I know you have a lot of friends in the defense industry." -- "friends in the defense department"? Thank goodnesss! Our nations' defense and allies certainly don't have a friend in the White House or current batch of Democratic Party candidates!

---
Jonathan Gruber incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "  Some people weren’t paying attention. Obama saved us from a bankruptcy that Bush put us in." -- Good grief.. Obamageddon has added 44% more to the National Debt than he "inherited" from Bush 43!

---
L-E commentary headline: "Dems now party of ‘normal’?".. Bernie Sanders is "normal"/ Well.. I guess if you can accept a Clinton definition of what "Normal" "is".

From the L-E's "Looking back | Fifty years ago today, October 18, 1965: "The Ku Klux Klan came under a double-barrel attack here with House investigators confident they have the facts to expose the group as “possibly the greatest ally of communism in the United States," -- Hmmm ... well, they were  Democrats.. and we see how they have evolved... as Obamageddon like to describe the current Democrat Party.

Saturday, October 17, 2015

Online story: "As President Barack Obama took questions from reporters Friday, about half of the inquiries focused on the campaign to become the next president, not the issues facing the current one." -- "not the issues facing the current one"?  Good grief, why can't we elect new mainscream journalists before the next election!

---
Online headline/story: " Clinton responds to Obama's bold Afghanistan move * Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Thursday she supports President Barack Obama's decision to keep 5,500 U.S. troops in Afghanistan when he leaves the White House in 2017." -- You know... I'm more concerned about whether the 5,500 soldiers and their families support Obamageddon's "bold Afghanistan move"...I do have one question to ask HILLsbury DOUGHgirl.. Hey..."WHAT DIFFERENCE WILL YOU MAKE"!

---
Online story: "SeaWorld announced Thursday that it will challenge a state ruling that banned the company from breeding captive killer whales at its San Diego park." -- What kind of ban will Gov. Moonbeam Brown sign next... to ban Republicans?

---
Online headline bias: "Oklahoma delays all executions until 2016 after mishap * The attorney general agreed on Friday to halt execution dates as his office looks into why the wrong drug was used to put an inmate to death." -- "Mishap"? Good grief..it worked... the sentence was carried out effectively, and if the (_*_) suffered a little longer than planned, he deserved it!

---
Dueling online stories: "The United States has confirmed that Iran tested a medium-range missile capable of delivering a nuclear weapon, in "clear violation" of a United Nations Security Council ban on ballistic missile tests, a senior U.S. official said on Friday." & "Iranian actions, such as a ballistic missile test conducted last weekend, won’t derail the nuclear agreement with Tehran, President Barack Obama said Friday." -- Will somebody please draw a line at the doors leading into the Oval Office? We know he won't cross it, and we'll all benefit!

---
Did you notice that no Democrat candidate was asked how they felt about funding Planned Parenthood?

---
Online headline: "NYC mom to be evaluated after gruesome scene * ******(_*_) F*(_*_)*** was arraigned and held without bail Friday after witnesses say they saw her throw her baby from a sixth-floor window." -- "mom to be evaluated"? Good grief.. only to a liberal does this "m*m" have value.. she's probably going to be the next spokes(_*_) for Planned Parenthood.

---
Here's why the Columbus tax freeze doesn't need "fixing". There's a home (parcel 185-043-006) that was previously on the tax digest at $800,000 and paying over $8,400.00 in property taxes.. it just was sold for $550,000. ( about 69 cents on the dollar).. the new property taxes will be about $5,800.00.  Do you think the City and MCSD would volunteer to return the property taxes the previous owner has paid fro this year.. right, and I have some swamp land for sale.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Southern California Finds Itself Waist-Deep In Mud After Thunderstorms" -- "waist-deep in mud"? With all the "BS" bills Gov Moonbeam Brown has signed this month, maybe someone should get it analyzed...

Online headline/story: "Dems take turns cracking Canada jokes at Cruz * Ahead of Tuesday's 2016 debate, the Democratic Party’s official Twitter account tweeted it was so excited it forgot to wish Cruz a happy Canadian Thanksgiving. *  Then on Thursday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest invoked Cruz again as he celebrated his hometown Kansas City Royals reaching the American League Championship Series where they will face the Toronto Blue Jays. * “I certainly was pleased to see the Royals advance by defeating the Houston Astros last night, and they're ready to take on Ted Cruz’s other hometown team, the Toronto Blue Jays, next." -- I guess that when you ARE the "political correctness police".. Democrats and mainscream media can laugh at whomever they want.

---
Online story: "Russia has reportedly run tests to see if it can remove itself from the World Wide Web to stem the flow of information from foreign countries, according to a top industry official." -- You know.. this blog has had a following in Russia for the past 6 years, but last month, "views" dropped to a dribble..the last few days has seen it build back up..

---
The Clinton camp claims the Republicans "are out to get me".. She says Huma Abedin being called to testify  is proof of her claim. Good grief..HILLsbury DOUGHgirl really does believe she is above the law .

---
Huma Abedin testified in the Benghazi investigation today..she is described as HILLsbury DOUGHgirl's most trusted aide. Hmmm..what does a most trusted aide of a pathological liar do? One can only remember what lies she told to what people for so long.

---
Have you seen the paper towels at Sam's Club that have UGA bull dawgs all over them. Bet toilet paper with that image would be a better seller this season.

---
You know.. Obamageddon's true legacy will be about how low he has lowered the bar for future Democrat candidates for president.

---
From the "bet you want find this saying on the office wall of the NAACP, Al Sharlatan, or the DNC" department - L-E "Quotable": “My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there.” - Charles Kettering American inventor (1876-1958)" -- what can I add?

---
L-E commentary wisdom of John Tures, an associate professor of political science at Lagrange College" "Vice-President Joe Biden is either playing coy with his intentions, or is genuinely torn about whether he wants to run in the 2016 election. But after a good showing for all of the Democratic candidates in the first debate, the party demonstrated it doesn’t need Biden to rescue it."-- Good grief.. how can anyone have heard the Democrat debate and feel any of the answers to America's problems for the future can be solved by  any of the ones who were in attendance? John Tures is the equivalent of letting your pitcher be the designated hitter as well.

---
L-E story: "None of the seven members of the local legislative delegation are saying that they will oppose putting a referendum to “thaw” the property tax assessment freeze on the November 2016 ballot." --  Word to the legislators.. we're watching you! and you're all going to be on a ballot soon. This is not a ballot issue.

One other thing to keep in mind is that Red McDaniel was not represented well. The Mayor's personal appointee voted for the issue, Red McDaniel would not and the vote would have had only 5 "yes" votes..

---
Did you see the pics in the L-E of the United Way golf event? Seems to be it would be charitable if United Way spent some of the money raised this year to buy new golfing outfits for next years event.

---
Gut hunch... LSU big over Florida today.

---

From the "how biased can mainscream media get" department - L-E "headlie"/story: "  Factory output drops in sign of weak growth * Factory output declined 0.1 percent, the Federal Reserve said Friday, following a drop of 0.4 percent in August. Manufacturers also cut back on production of steel and other metals." -- "factory output declined 0.1 percent"? And that's "weak GROWTH"? Guess compared to the losses in newspaper subscriptions, a negative 0.1 decline looks good to newspaper owners.

Online headline: "Deadly California blazes will cost a colossal amount" -- Good grief.. why doesn't Gov. Moonbeam Brown just sign a bill banning fire in California.. he seems to "solve" every other problem simply by signing some stupid bill prohibiting "it".

---
Speaking of Moonbeam Brown "solutions". if he'd signed his ban of smokeless tobacco a couple of weeks earlier, Chase Utley would have been banned from the Dodgers, and maybe the Dodgers would have beat the Mets to get into the NLCS series.

---
Good grief...the UCLA's football uniforms looked like they were either designed for a "High School Musical' sequel about football, or came from Party City's " White Power Rangers" costume collection.

---
Online headline: "3rd baby in 3 months dies after being tossed from NYC window" -- Hey, "Black Lives Matter", hey, Al Sharlatan, Hey, Obamageddon.. where were you ?

---
Online story: "Police in Michigan raided the home and office of an allegedly rogue abortion doctor Tuesday night, following the discovery of what appeared to be a dozen containers of aborted fetus parts and a powerful anesthetic in the trunk of his car" -- Hey, Pro_Choice...hey Pelosi/Feinstein.. defend this as a woman's right to choose..

---
A fellow BCer has hit the nail on the head: Mayor ObamaLYINGson feels  "We are smart enough to parse the benefits of the "Freeze" and vote on the merits so why weren't we allowed to vote on the tax increase aka once weekly garbage pickup?" Call your state reps and tell'em "No" on a ballot initiative.. It's an issue of the people and by the people ..for the people.. and it works fine.

---
Online headline/story: "Words That Were Absent From the Democrat Debate * Liberty, Patriotic, National Debt, Entitlements, Abortion, Individual/States Rights" -- What was mentioned.. a lot, was "free tuition".. You know.. there is nothing "free" provided by any level of government...it's all paid for with tax dollars and we know where they emanate.

---
HILLsbury DOUGHgirl is about to celebrate another birthday.. Let's all get together and snuff out her candle of hope to get elected.

--
In the last 10 days, the prisoner count at the Muscogee County jail has grown by 44 net..there are currently 1089 prisoners in jail..wonder if Mayor ObamaLYINGson wants to cut the Sheriff's budget some more? Maybe she wants them to not eat while they are incarcerated?

---
A friend and fellow BCer reminded me that Mayor ObamaLYINGson campaigned (correctly, I might add) against the T- SPLOST but she sure seems anxious to get her picture taken when checks are returned (in spite of the negative return of the T-SPLOST tax revenues we local taxpayers have to pay).

---
I've got a great idea...tell Netanyahu to arrange for Israelis to ask for refugee status in New York City, get registered to vote, and vote all Democrats out of office, then go back to Israel with America's full military and political support.

---
When Obamageddon refers to our soldiers killed in action as making "the ultimate sacrifice" ...it just sounds sleazy coming out of his mouth, and you wonder when he's going to tell a fund raising group he was just working the room.

---
Obamageddon says he will reduce troop presence to 5500 as he leaves office. Good grief! That will put 5500 of our soldiers at the mercy of the incoming president as to whether they will have back-up support.. Do you think they want to depend on the Demon of Benghazi to do this?

---
AJC headline/story: "Georgia pols give $2.7 million (of other people’s money) to charity * The recently released DeKalb County corruption report has called into question commissioners’ use of county funds to donate to local charities. * Former Attorney General Mike Bowers, hired by the county to investigate allegations of corruption, said state law prohibits doling out tax money to charities. * “You don’t have to be a constitutional law expert to know that you can’t spend government money on your favorite charity, no matter how worthy the cause,” he told the AJC." -- Hey Bowers.. hurry to Columbus, and bring plenty of handcuffs.. Our Mayor/Council do this in so many ways.. from "grants" from the Public Safety SPLOST funds, charging City owned facility fees that don't cover costs, to sending public employees to clean up private proerty (recent Beallwood-area  rental properties is a good example). It's all "vote buying"!

---
Online headline: "Hillary Clinton to visit Atlanta on Oct. 30 " - She'll be flying in on Broom 1.

---
Online headline: "Atlanta promises more officers on streets, jail time for repeat offenders to combat crime" -- Hmmm... wouldn't it be more cost effective to just keep repeat offenders in jail rather than releasing them early so they can commit more crimes?

---
Jonathan Gruber incredibly stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": "The reason why your garbage fee doubled is because your property tax has been frozen while everything else under the sun has increased in cost. Do the math." -- Good grief.. if I didn't know better, I'd think Mayor ObamaLYINGson has Gruber on her staff.. The reason our garbage fees (and I still question the legality of garbage fees, as a city must provide garbage services along with police and fire protection which should be paid for by the property taxes we pay) are high is because facilities provided by the city for entertainment are not pulling enough revenue from the users. Taxpayers supplement the golf courses, the ice rinks, the Civic Center, the natatorium, Golden Park, Memorial Stadium, the softball complex, Columbus Regional, Whitewater, the Queen TT Lounge, the dog walk, the bicycle trail, recycling center, even MCSD SPLOST election..et al.

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-double stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " As a result of Roe v. Wade, it is now unconstitutional for court-ordered or any other forced drug test to be taken on any male or female." -- Like Reagan said, "liberals just know so much that isn't so".

---
L-E headline: "SOCIAL SECURITY * Government: No benefit hike for 2016" -- Good grief.. Social Security for most Americans is not "a benefit".. American WORKERS/Employers pay into a retirement fund  that is not added to by government.. the only issues to the solvency is that government has tapped other programs to be funded by other people's saving accounts, and by not letting the "owners" (you and me) put our money in investment accounts.

---
L-E headline: "Gun makers compete for Army handgun contract * Army wants smaller, harder-hitting firearm to replace M9 and M11" -- Good grief.. why won't the Army stop being politically correct and simply say it wants a girl's gun.. just don't buy one that is pink camouflage in color.

---
L-E headline: "Georgia jobless rate remains 5.8 percent during September" -- Hmm.. I know,, there;s an adage that figures don't lie, but there's another that says "liars figure a lot... Looking at the job figures for non-Atlanta based population has me scratching my head.. the Augusta area is the only one of these that has more than half it's area population working..

SMA population &  Jobs"

Augusta-Richmond County  - 392,000 & 230,600

Columbus city - 254,000 & 124,200 (note: add Phenix City, AL to the SAM figure and we're talking 314,000)

Savannah city - 372,000 & 171,600

Macon/Warner Robins  - 418,000 & 170,600

I have a three letter acronym favored by Democrats to describe the Democratic Debate.. it was a "BFD".. Big Faking Dud."

---
Bernie Sanders' camp reports huge influx of donations after debate; HILLsbury DOUGHgirl camp reports her performance has built momentum and probably dampened Biden's entry into race. Hmmm.. who ya gonna believe.. a Democrat who openly and proudly admits he's a socialist, or HILLsbury DOUGHgirl?

---
Bernie Sanders said to HIILsbury DOUGHgirl, " the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.".. Hmmm..maybe the 5 on stage are tired of talking about her E-mail scandal but just because mainscream media won't talk about her other weaknesses.

---
Online story: "One of the clearest differences between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders (came) during a discussion of the Patriot Act. Clinton is for it. Sanders is not." -- Hmmm.. as in the above item.. how can anyone believe HILLsbury DOUGHgirl? Tomorrow is a different day, and she'll probably have a different answer..

---
Reports have it that Oprah did not watch the Democrat Debacle..uh... Debate. That cannot be good for HILLsbury DOUGHgirl..

---
The Democrat debate basically showed that "show and place" were the winners.
---
I just read that more people have died taking "selfies" (25 through September) than have been killed by sharks (5 or 6 depending on report) this year.

---
Online headline: "Experts question whether the death penalty works" -- Good grief.. of course it works.. there's zero cases of recidivism.. It would work even better as a deterrent if a death sentence were carried out more promptly so it's relativity of action-to-consequences would be more emphatic

---
Online headline: "Drug shortage could have huge impact on death penalty debate" -- Good grief.. then use 5 riflemen and 5 bullets..What I don't understand is why a specific drug "must" be used.. there are plenty of garden variety poisons available that are available to the public without prescription.. So what if it's a lingering and debilitating death... it'll give heinous monsters (and their "fans" time to think about the pain they caused victims and their families.

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "CNN Debate Moderator Anderson Cooper Dismisses Story Suggesting Clinton Ties" -- Rumor has it Cooper was appalled to feel anyone would connect him with an off-the-rack tie haberdasher that a Clinton would use.

---
Online story: "Illinois State officials announced Wednesday that winners who are due to receive more than $600 won't get their money until the state's ongoing budget impasse is resolved. Players who win up to $600 can still collect their winnings at local retailers. *  Despite the payment delay, lottery officials have continued selling tickets. " -- Wanna bet that lottery officials will pay themselves?

---
Online story: "At least 12 activists were arrested after refusing to leave Baltimore City Hall early Thursday as they protested the permanent appointment of the city’s interim police commissioner. * Several members of the Baltimore Uprising coalition were shouting from the balcony overlooking the meeting room Wednesday as the city council subcommittee prepared to vote for Kevin Davis as permanent commissioner" -- Excuse me, but who's paying these folks? IRS should investigate now, and if it's found they are getting outside payments, reveal publicly from whom, and if they are receiving welfare benefits, stop those immediately.

---
With the costs of gas and maintenance involving school buses, why is a MCSD bus seen at a shopping center during lunch? Saw one yesterday at "The Landings" at lunch time. Please note.. it was a new 2015 purchase.

---
From the "inquiring minds want to know" department: When Mayor ObamaLYINGson took away our twice-a-week garbage pick-ups, she proclaimed more recycling was the answer to lower cost garbage service in the future. She built an huge new Recycling Center that only about 10%-to-20% is even being used in preparation for "the boom". Now glass is no longer even a desired recycling product, and recycling other materials has reached a new low in desirability so it looks like either the City will have to pay people to haul recyclable products off, or they'll eventually have to be moved to the dump/landfill? Tell me.. where are the savings we are getting for one less pick-up per week? How will operating more expensive recycling trucks  save money over the traditional garbage trucks?

---
Democrat pundit Alan Colmes said HILLsbury  DOUGHgirl came across more friendly Tuesday night because she "smiled a lot". Guess he'd say " The Joker" of Batman movies was friendly, too, because he smiled a lot as well.

---
All the Democrats agree that "climate change" is the US's most critical problem. I agree..and I think it's time to change the political climate of Washington, DC.

---
Online story: "The combination of taxes and fees in the $900 million transportation funding measure the General Assembly passed this year are playing a big role in state tax collections. * The legislation generated $74.3 million in revenue last month, helping boost net tax collections for September to 8.7 percent above September of last year. Without the transportation tax money, the increase would have been only 4.6 percent." -- Percentages jumped from 4.6% to 8.7%.. that's an 89% increase in taxes collected, but it's also an 89% decrease in available cash flow for the local communities. I guarantee that's not part of the discussion in Atlanta. Thank, Josh McKoon, for not voting for this legislation.

---
Online headline: "T.I. apologizes for saying Hillary Clinton more unelectable as a woman than Lochness Monster" -- Hmmm. T.I., as a convicted felon, is ineligible to vote, I wonder how many times he will vote anyway in 2016?
---
L-E headline/story: "Metra improvements could increase independence for those with disabilities * thanks to $22.4 million from the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax." -- Whoa! Wait a minute! Why is the TSPLOST being "thanked"? That $22.4 Million is coming out of taxpayer pockets, and what's worse is that since Columbus only get 85% of the TSPLOST taxes we pay, the real cost to us is closer to $26,000,000.00!

---
Jonathan Gruber triple-double, extra stupid (with two cherries of top) LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Donald Trump's vitriolic and hate-filled speeches bother me. However, his fans and political supporters, who give him rock star status, frighten me. Of course, the thought that he could become our president terrifies me." -- Hmmm Now if this LIV put reality into his/her comment, it would read like this, " Obama's vitriolic and hate-filled speeches bother me. However, his fans and political supporters, who give him rock star status, frighten me. Of course, the thought that he could become our president terrifies me." This is the difference between truth and Democrat "facts".

---
L-E headline: "Clinton's strong debate is an election warning for GOP race" -- Good grief.. HILLsbury DOUGHgirl didn't even discourage Bernie and his backers, much less intimidated Donald Trump..

---
L-E story: " A woman who sued her 12-year-old nephew for $127,000 over injuries she received when he exuberantly greeted her at his birthday party four years ago was forced to go to court over her medical bills, her lawyers said Wednesday as backlash against her on social media sites poured in. *  A jury on Tuesday rejected Jennifer Connell’s lawsuit, finding the boy was not liable for her injuries. *    “From the start, this was a case ... about one thing: Getting medical bills paid by homeowner’s insurance,” the law firm said Wednesday in an emailed statement. “Our client was never looking for money from her nephew or his family.” -- "never looking for money from her nephew or his family"? What legal BS! It was all about the money, and sticking it to an insurance company..I just hope the legal firm goes after its client for the money it thought it would get on contingency.... and loses!

---
L-E's "Late laughs": "THE FIRST Democratic debate on CNN, and get this, they actually had an extra podium ready in case Joe Biden decided he’d join the race. Which backfired when before the debate even started people were like, “Could we just vote for the empty podium?” - Jimmy Fallon" -- Hmm.. my thoughts were that Clint Eastwood would have been waiting in the wings and walked out and started debating the empty podium..

---
It's was more than coincidence tha the DEmocrat Debate was held in Las Vegas.. CNN could get instant feedback from the Las Vegas oddsmakers on how post-debate bets were made.

---
Looking back at the article penned by Mike Owen about the effects of the tax freeze assault being led by Mayor ObamaLYINGson, Owen "absently minded" leaves out the affect all this has on the MCSD portion of the property taxes. .. especially since the MCSD gets about 50% more than the City does in propertyy tax revenues and the MCSD will does not give homestead exemptions.

---
L-E story: " Those taking a drive through Troup County, Ga., in their electric vehicles now have a charging station powered by the sun. *  The charging station installed at the West Point visitor center is “PV4EV,” short for “photovoltaic for electric vehicle.” It is powered by a Spotlight Solar LIFT, with the ability to quick charge a vehicle to 80 percent of capacity in less than 45 minutes." -- Liberals will rejoice.. yet I can't wait for the moment when 3 or 4 EVs arrive at about the same time in need of a quick charge, and find they'll have a 2 or 3 hour wait just to plug in...
