You know, two of the biggest talkers about "thawing the freeze" in Columbus are Reynolds Bickerstaff and John Pezold...and talkers is all they are about. Last year on a statement, Bickerstaff said there were 29000 homes paying $100.00 or less in property taxes. Well since the only such properties I was aware were paying that little were luxury condos at the Eagle&Phenix, I asked him to document that. He promised to do so..last October. I'm still waiting. Recently I had an exchange with Pezold..our/my State Representative, he  made mention of a homeowner he knew of that only pays $35.00..I.asked for that name and address..All.of a sudden , he couldn't "recall" nothing (sounds an awful lot like Hellary's primary response when you catch her in another lie) except knew that he tax freeze was something he'd never got to vote on, and felt compelled to do so. I asked why he wanted to vote on a tax increase..he just kept blathering that voting on (read: against the freeze) was something he deserved to be able to do. You KNOW , there are a lot of laws on the books that none of us has gotten to vote on..but they are laws, like our current freeze, that have served you, me, and this City/country very well, and I don't want to.mess with them.. Hey Pezold did you get to vote on the age/residency/skill qualifications for being a State Rep? Me neither but now I want a new law to vote on as to whether you are qualified to be my representative.

There's a listing out covering the "30 Friendliest Cities in the World".. 3 of the top 4 are in Ireland.. sounded a little biased, but have to give it some credibility after reading  that of the 11 American cities named, 8 are in the South, and none are in the Mid-East, Northern Africa, Russia, China or any country than ends in "-stan".
