The 1860 US Census showed a surprise that I wasn't looking for, much less expected to find.. And former Mayor Bottoms said that "We are seizing this moment to realize Dr, Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision for addressing economic security and pervasive poverty. Part of the problem with the jobs numbers ... watched a small business diner owner talk about how hard it was to get help when he had to compete against a nearby McDonald's unit which... as it added more animated order/cooking devices that don't need human attendance...when McDonalds was offering $20.00 an hour for the "more skilled" positions it had.. versus what he could afford in his diner..A full-time job at $20.00 an hour is $40,000.00 a year on top of benefits.. that's pretty steep for a training job for most small businesses...
