The vote is in... Great Britain remains.. Of course, 1000's of potential jobs were lost for cartographers to make new maps/atlases. On the bright side, St Andrews remains in the British Open rotation.

---
Good grief.. even too many Republicans in the Senate fell for the bait of "look like you're doing something good" in spending $100,000.00 per Syrian jihadist going-to-bes to arm and train them. Mainstream media will point the finger of blame at the Republicans rather than Obamageddon next month.

---
You know.. the DOJ could have equipped the Syrians more efficiently.. Holder could offer free assault weapons to Jihadists who leave America via the Mexican border or deportation.. hmmm... "farsi and furious.. the sequel".

---
Again, why hasn't Obamageddon.. the UN for that matter, demanded that Egypt & Saudi Arabia send enough of their 650,000 strong Muslim military force, already armed and trained, to eradicate ISIS? Let the Mid-East powers demonstrate they are better than the jihadist element.

--
Speaking of ISIS.. why does the Jewish community not get angered at Obamageddon referring to ISIS as ISIL? Israel is included in ISIL.

---
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Jeh Johnson, Obamageddon's hand placed flunkie in the Department of Homeland Security told the Congressional Committee that he had no credible intelligence report of 4 al Qaida connected illegal aliens being captured crossing the border into Texas. Listening to his denial, it appears there's no credible intelligence in the DHS.

---
The Democratic Party "war on women" has revved up.. Debbie Wasserman Schultz appears to becoming Debbie "washed-up" Schultz, and Senator Mary Landrieu is becoming the next "her-I-caned" victim in Louisiana.

---
Online story: "The U.S. Attorney General has been making headlines talking about the need for"smarter" sentencing and fewer people behind bars. * But most of those who are incarcerated are doing time under state laws in a new report this week that shows our prison population is still growing. * The report released by the Bureau of Justice Statistics shows that, despite the federal prison population declining for the first time by 0.9 percent in 2013, the overall prison population increased slightly by 4,300 prisoners, or 0.3 percent." -- Hmmm.. both aspects are skewed by government.. either by action or inaction. The Feds have released prisoners from its jails/stopped prosecuting certain crimes so the report shows a decline in fed prisoners. On the other hand, state prisons have grown because a bad economy/lack of jobs does turn frustrated people, men and women, into desperate people/criminals.
---
Online story: "Officers killed a man after he allegedly pointed a rifle at them in suburban St. Louis, the second fatal police shooting of a black suspect in the region since the August shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson. * Two officers fired a combined 25 shots Wednesday night after a chase in which the 42-year-old man slammed his vehicle into a police car then fled on foot into a construction area, * The officers told Belmar the suspect tried to fire, but his .22-caliber rifle jammed and no casings were found outside the gun." -- Good grief.. mainstream media stirred Ferguson and the surrounding area in to a lynch-mob mentality, and now feigns ignorance of why it's still perculating...Being a police officer, whether in Ferguson.. or Columbus, GA is a dangerous occupation when you enter neighborhoods where crime is rampant, and protecting law-abiding citizens in the area is crippled by "profiling" concerns that lawyers feast upon.
---
Online headline: "White House: It’s not combat, but US troops will return fire if they’re shot at" -- " troops will return fire if they’re shot at"? I guess Obamageddon is presuming our soldiers won't be killed by the first shot...
---
On Monday, California Communist Democrat Nancy Pelosi made the preposterous and laughable (even for Pelosi) claim that Democrats never treated George W. Bush the same way that Republicans are treating Obama. * It was such an absurd and delusional statement, that MTV star, Chet Cannon, weighed in on Twitter, tweeting that it takes a “special breed of idiot to make a statement like that.” -- "special breed of idiot"? No way! This is the consensus Democratic Party mantra, but young Cannon must have finally opted out of the Kool-Aid diet.
---
L-E story: "A day after denying that any supersonic flights flew from Robins Air Force Base to the area, the base public affairs office sent out a release late Thursday afternoon confirming that an F-15 fighter jet flew over Columbus and created the sonic boom around 5 p.m. Tuesday. * Confirmation of the supersonic flight comes a day after a public affairs spokesman said Wednesday that the base had checked flight tests and found no scheduled activity in the area." -- Hmmm, is there anybody in the Obamageddon legacy who won't lie?
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Another great national headline for Georgia: “Georgia Secretary of State Laments Democrats are registering Minorities to Vote.” Yep, voting in Georgia for old white men only … no one else welcome." -- I'm not sure what this "soundoffers" point is other than bigotry on his/her part. The New Georgia Project is using the Secretary of State's logo on their non-conforming-to-regulations registration project, and the Secretary of State SHOULD be angry, and the state legislature should censure Stacey Abrams on ethics issues. It's a "Right/Wrong" issue.. not a "White/Black" one.
---
MLB has reached a conundrum for its future.. With so many teams playing mediocre ball, the "playoffs" have become a joke.. How about a change that will: 1- shorten the season so in will be over in October, and 2 - guarantee the two best season long teams meet in the World Series. Forget the Divisonal and League Championship series altogether, and just pair off the two teams with the highest regular season winning percentages.
---
L-E headline: "Stock gains lift household wealth to a record" -- Wow! And imagine where the wealth level would be if all... even part.. our Social Security deductions were invested in mutual funds/indices instead on in Algore's US Treasuries "lockbox".....

I'm was watching TV as Obamageddon was speaking to our military. As he read from his TeleprompTers, he said, "I feel confident". I'm getting tired of this. Instead, I wish he would look forward into the camera.. into the eyes of the American citizens and, from his heart, say, "I FEEL COMPETENT!". Just once would be enough...
Online story: " A divided House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to back President Barack Obama's request to arm and train Syrian rebels to combat the Islamic State. * Upending the normal partisan divides, numerous Democrats and Republicans came down on opposite sides of the vote, with most high-ranking lawmakers backing the White House plan to spend $500 million to vet some 5,000 members of the Free Syrian Army and then supply them with weapons." -- $500,000,000.00 to "vet" 5,000 Muslims to see whether we should teach and arm them... that's $100,000.00 per jihadist! Between Egypt & Saudi Arabia, they have, at this moment, over 650,000 already trained and armed Muslim soldiers on duty. Why not cut off all relations with Egypt & Saudi Arabia until they clean out ISIS in an act of good faith that jihadism is not built into every Muslim.
---
Online story: "Another shocking revelation has been made in the Adrian Peterson saga. * The Minnesota Vikings running back was beaten with an 18-inch long wooden paddle by high school football coach for three lashes every time the star player misbehaved." -- Good grief.. when I was in high school, there was a race to see who could sign all the coaches' paddles first as confirmation the coach had paddled us!
---
Talk about a nightmare PR problem... Crest Toothpaste... the one with those little blue specks.. As it turns out, some toothpastes contain little blue, plastic microbeads made of polyethylene – which is a plastic also used to make garbage containers, grocery bags and bullet proof vest * Dentists say it shouldn't be anywhere near your mouth. * They'll trap bacteria in the gums which leads to gingivitis, and over time that infection moves from the gum into the bone that holds your teeth and that becomes periodontal disease. * Crest says they will be removing the controversial ingredient and that most products will be microbead-free within six months.......Six months? Crest had better "bite the bullet" now...or in 6 months, Crest may be "biting the dust".
---
Forget "mesothelioma" ... Every lawyer you know will be advertising on TV next month about whether you (or someone you know who has died) has ever brushed your teeth with "Crest toothpaste".
---
Random thought: Remember when there was so much media attention to "Killer Bees"? You know, if Algore had been as "green" then, he would have been running around yelling, "Global Swarming"!
---
You know, it's only fitting the NFL remove players for "domestic violence"...too. With new rules in place, the referees pretty much have removed "violence" on the field.
---
HuffPost headline: "Air Force Will No Longer Require 'So Help Me God' In Enlistment Oaths" -- You know.. appeasing atheists is a wasted effort.. to begin with, why should they care if they are so sure they are right.. but.. everyone knows.. there are no atheists in foxholes .... or in the cockpits during Mach 1 "dog fights".
---
Officer Darren Wilson is testifying in front of the Grand Jury called to investigate the properness of his actions in the death of Michael Brown. Truth is.. Officer Wilson is not on trial.. our Constitution is. Just as in the Rodney King case 20+ years ago, will good people stand up for justice for the individual, or kowtow to fear of the lynch-mob mentality stirred up by mainstream media?
---
Online story: "Australian counterterrorism forces detained 15 people Thursday in a series of suburban raids after receiving intelligence that the Islamic State movement was planning public beheadings in two Australian cities to demonstrate its reach. * The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that the plan involved kidnapping randomly selected members of the public off the streets in Sydney and Brisbane, beheading them on camera, and releasing the recordings through Islamic State's propaganda arm in the Middle East" -- I'd say it is time to lock down our borders, redefine the difference between racial profiling and common sense... if it's not too late as it is.
---
It's fun, yet sad, to watch liberals protesting their own representatives because liberal ideas just don't solve real world problems.
---
HuffPost story: "High school football players in New Jersey say they were the targets of a racist locker room prank involving bananas, prompting an investigation by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association. * The incident occurred when the North Plainfield Canucks were placed in an adjoining locker room to the Summit High School Hilltoppers. There was no knob attached to the door connecting the rooms, according to reports, leaving a hole large enough for a banana to squeeze through. * "Right away, there was a banana in the door," * So we took the banana, and then all of a sudden, they put another one. And we took the banana out, and there was another one in there. And they kept on putting them in there.” -- Good grief.. that was probably the Sex Ed teacher thinking the guys were for condom practice.

---
HuffPost headline: "Isolated N. Korea asks for international help with volcano" -- Ooops, my bad... thought Dennis Rodman was mouthing off again.

---
HuffPost "headlie": "O'Donnell wows after 50-pound weight loss" -- WRONG! There are a lot of words that could describe Rosie O' but "wow" isn't one of them.

---
HuffPost story: "Hey everybody! We all just got a huge raise! * Americans have more cash in their pockets after prices for all items in the country dropped last month, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. * The price of all items dropped .2 percent, but that number doesn't tell the whole story. * Gasoline prices dropped 4.1 percent and fuel oil sank 1.2 percent, the government said. * Food prices rose .2 percent, but lower fuel costs could lead to the cost of food, either at home or in restaurants, to drop in September." -- Good grief.. prices drop because not enough people are buying at "regular" prices.. it's called a recession, and certainly not something to celebrate... unless you're a Democrat trying to salvage your job/career.
---
Online story: "Scientists in Britain have given blow-by-blow details of King Richard III's death at the Battle of Bosworth more than 500 years ago and say two of many blows to his bare head could have killed him very swiftly." -- Ooooops, my bad. I would have thought he had committed suicide from having to speak Shakespearian English
---
Online story: "Jameis Winston has been benched for the first half of Saturday's game against Clemson after making "offensive and vulgar" comments about women and Florida State officials say that the quarterback will undergo internal discipline." -- Good grief.. he was probably just singing along with K(_*_)nye's latest "HIT" songs.
---
Online story: "Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday he used a poor choice of words when he referred to unscrupulous moneylenders as "Shylocks," and a prominent group that fights anti-Semitism called it a teachable moment about the harmful effects of stereotypes." -- "teachable moment"? You know.. I suppose when Jesse Jackson called NYC, "Hymietown".. that was a teachable moment, too. Too bad Jesse and Joe haven't learned this long ago.
---
Todd Keil, Asst Director of the Department of Homeland Security seemed to kno a lot of 25-cent words as he spoke to the Congressional Committee yesterday. Of course, I do wish he knew the meaning of those words which were in his prepared statement.
---
Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings of the Select Committee on Benghazi said jobs in foreign embassies could dangerous. and that the US should make sure thet are well protected. He's right.. I agree.. The problem is that "drawing red lines in the sand" around them is not going to stop acts of terrorism. Consistent and immediate response, and PROMPT retaliation are the only language those animals understand.
---
I really got a little PO'd at a Fox News person last night as she purportedly was engaged in a debate with Bill O'Reilly on acceptable disciplines for children. Fox should reanalyze whether her contract should be renewed. Whenever O'Reilly said "spanking", she would blurt out "hitting". I remember getting spankings as a child. They were limited to situations that followed an act where I could have been severely injured/killed. They got my attention. They were effective. I also remember turning 12. My parents sat down and proclaimed my days of spanking were over. I was now old enough that other penalties for bad or injurious behavior would be effective. You know, I felt pretty grown up, and didn't bother to try to test them on what penalty they had in mind..
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " It’s a bad joke to say the U. S. imposes the highest corporate taxes in the world, since most of the mega-corps don’t pay a red cent for taxes and then claim a refund." -- Another Kool-Aid drinker who orders the Large size. If a corporation is not paying taxes.it is because, the corporation is not profitable.. which means the jobs of people are in jeopardy. On the other hand, by not taxing corporations, corporations are free to use such "excesses" to hire new people or distribute more in dividends. New people hired, and shareholders getting bigger dividends DO pay taxes. Win-win.
---
L-E headline: "U.S. scientist says Ebola virus unlikely to become airborne" -- Good grief.. that's about as comforting as Obamageddon saying "Mission Accomplished".
---
L-E headline: "Shelby: Judge arrested for violence should quit * Judge Mark Fuller allegedly hit his wife during a fight in an hotel in Atlanta" -- You know.. an appointed-for-life judge should have a little more scrutiny evoked when he/she has been in a chargeable violence action. While it may appear to give a judge different insight to a defendants plea, it will probably have too much influence of the judge's ability to decide what is "justifiable". Every violent person can find a "justifiable" excuse/reason that it wasn't his/her fault.
---
L-E story: " A state probe into a voter registration group that claims to have submitted nearly 86,000 applications this year has so far uncovered 28 forged documents with 26 more considered suspicious, the chief investigator with the Secretary of State’s Office said Wednesday. * Investigator Chris Harvey said the probe of the New Georgia Project is far from complete, noting his office is still seeking information through a subpoena to determine if there are any other instances of documents suspected of being forged or fraudulent." -- Hey.. this is the "project" I've been addressing that needed to be looked into on an ethics basis for GA House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams. The project rules specify no such registration campaign can be conducted in a "partisan" manner, and the wave of New Georgia Project canvassers were distributing very partisan literature.
---
Mainstream media is now complaining about the panel of 4 white women assembled by the NFL to address "domestic violence" had at least one black women on it because of the high percentage of black players. Excuse me, but since when does it take women of a specific race to understand, to be concerned, about "domestic violence" issues? Pain is pain..violence is violence.. Crime is crime.

Between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, they have 650,000 trained Muslim soldiers employed. Why don't they use them against ISIS to actually demonstrate that they don't support Muslim jihadist?
---
Jason Carter says he would have a separate, protected budget for education and another for the rest of the state's needs. Hmmm.. so education costs would escalate at the expense of the other state services and employees.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "DHS 'Will Respond Aggressively' To Reported Mistreatment of Immigrant Detainees
* The government is doing what it can to improve conditions at family detention centers following recent complaints, but will continue detaining women and children who crossed the border illegally, Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Tuesday." -- Good grief.. sounds like the ABA policing its lawyers, and the NFL union handing domestic abuse cases of players. Those wet-noodle lashes are really effective... NOT!

---
Online headline: "Union appeals Rice's indefinite suspension by NFL" -- See above response.
---
HuffPost headline: " Top Obama Adviser: The President Didn't Change, ISIS Did" -- Good grief... hang around until tomorrow and Obamageddon will have changed again.
---
The committee meeting discussing ISIS/ISIL controls was "struck" by liberal protesters. Talk about a reversal of fortune for the Democratic Party.
---
You know, the "October Surprise" Democrats usually try to raise in about 2 weeks before the General Election date may bite them on their jackasses. If the Republicans just let Democrats step on their own "privates" rather than trying to orchestrate such, we may get unexpected results that can get control back in the hands of the people.

---
Hey, about those 3,000 soldiers being sent into Africa to help curtail Ebola... Let's petition Congress to pass a new law requiring that all soldiers sent to African ebola outbreaks be reassigned to the Secret Service Presidential Guard duty when they get back.

---
Statistics reveal 1-in-40 NFL players are arrested annually... 2.5%. You know, that's a lower crime rate statistic than on the streets of Chicago, NYC, LA, Atlanta, and even Columbus.
---
You know, recent disclosures of irregularities in the DOJ sorting out Hillewinsky-pertinent documents concerning Benghazi are grabbing traction.

---
I wish mainstream media would get upset at the IRS and Benghazi scandals as it has for Ferguson, MO and the NFL.

---
Once again, Obamageddon has expressed his condolences for another victim of an Islamic beheading. Once again, he headed off to the golf course to work on his own "slicing" problem.

---
The Columbus RiverCenter is advertising an upcoming operatic event. The ad states the star is an "African-American" as it shows an audio/video example of his marvelous voice. Now, wouldn't we be offended if the RiverCenter ran the same ad highlighting Pavarotti .. and referred to him as an "Italian-Caucasian" while showing an audio/video of him performing?

---
You know.. the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl is going to hate "GOOGLE" by the end of 2016..GOOGLE makes all her gaffs and scandals pop-up every time even liberals type her name into the GOOGLE search engine.

---
HuffPost story: "Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) announced on Tuesday that she plans to introduce legislation that would revoke the NFL’s tax-exempt status unless the league’s owners put pressure on the Washington football team to change the team's name." -- Seriously, I did check to see if this was not intended for an April 1st print date... good grief.. I really want to see the Senate voting list on this one.. especially during the season.. maybe she can get RG III's endorsement.. yeah.. right.
---
Online story: "South Korean border guards arrested an American man who they believe was attempting to swim across a river into rival North Korea, * The man was apprehended Tuesday night while lying on a bank of the Han River, which is in a restricted military area near the border * The man was in his late 20s or early 30s told investigators that he tried to go to North Korea to meet leader Kim Jong Un." -- You know... we need to get our citizenship rules in order. if someone with American citizenship and passport illegally attempts/succeeds in crossing into another country illegally (active duty soldiers exempted, of course), then said (_*_) should have his.her American citizenship permanently revoked.
---
Have you seen the list of NFL sponsors voicing disdain for the NFL scandals, and the manner the NFL is handling them? Some big, big names here.. They are huffing and puffing, and threatening to "blow the house down", but... but.. none have said,, "enough"!..."I quit"!
---
Random Soapbox thought: If journalists are so stupid, so unpatiotic, that they will align themselves with terrorists in order to get video, then the US State Department should put microchips in them, and give the military permission to use those journalists as targets for smart-missiles and drones when terorists near them are engaged in violence.
---
Online story: "A woman in Thailand is said to have committed suicide by leaping into a pond of crocodiles at a farm in Bangkok. * Wanpen Inyai reportedly jumped from a walkway early Friday morning where visitors usually view the deadly animals. * The BBC reports the pond contained hundreds of crocodiles. Staffers attempted to save the woman but they were unsuccessful." -- Hmmm.. wonder if her DNA will show up in a Swiss pocketbook shop and catch Oprah Winfrey's attention?
---
HuffPost headline: "When given a choice between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney, an overwhelming number of the 51,000 people surveyed chose a third option." -- You know.. all contested political races should give the voters another choice: "None of the Above", and if a majority of voters select that option, the other candidates should become ineligible for future public service.
---
Online story: "The United Nations has named Leonardo DiCaprio a UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change." -- Good grief.. where'd he get his scientific expertise.. Algore U?
---
Online story: "According to several reports, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and a group of nearly 150 people racked up a bill of more than $25,000 at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and then proceeded to leave ... without leaving a tip. * the order included $600 worth of chicken wings, 20 bottles of Rose champagne totaling $11,500 and several other types of alcoholic beverages." -- Hmmm... for $25,000.00 worth of pricey appetizers and $500+ per bottle of sparkling grape juice, the Hard Rock Hotel should have been paying their staff well enough.
---
HuffPost story: "The final report from a landmark federal study on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, found no evidence that chemicals or brine water from the gas drilling process moved upward to contaminate drinking water at a site in western Pennsylvania." -- Good grief.. the entire Sierra Club membership should be on "suicide prevention watch" all weekend! Hmmm... or maybe not...q;-)
---
L-E story: " A military aircraft flying over Columbus apparently broke the sound barrier Tuesday afternoon with a thunderous boom, setting off cars alarms and sending people out into the streets. * Breaking the sound barrier is only possible with a military aircraft. * a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said there were some military flights in the area but not supersonic. “We are aware that military flight activity was underway over the area, but we don’t know about any supersonic flights," -- Good grief.. how naive does the Obamageddon staff think we are.. Obamageddon was in Atlanta so his toy was probably parked at Warner Robins AFB, and some fighter jets were probably patrolling/checking out golf courses.. still doesn't make it OK to illegally fly over a city at supersonic speeds.. but do we expect White House directives to be concerned with legalities?
---
L-E headline: "Seven Muscogee schools receive state honors for progress" -- Why are such records looked at as a badge of honor within the school system? Telling the students that they are part of a school that is failing just magnifies their frustration. Falsely praising "bunts" as "Home Runs" lowers the goals schools have, but doesn't elevate the spirit needed to carry forward. The Carver situation is the most bothersome of all. Millions have been thrown into Carver on a massive overhaul in the 90s, and in a total rebuild just a few years ago, and results have been pathetic.. Why not swapping about half the Jrs & Srs form Columbus High with students from Carver for a few years.. let Carver students experience a successful surrounding/environment, and let Columbus High students take a "can do" attitude to Carver.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The reason you don’t see the country moving forward is because you live in a state controlled by Republicans. Republicans don’t want forward motion." -- Hmmm... it's evident this Low Info Voter doesn't realize he/she lives in a Democratic Party controlled City and School System.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The Social Security Fund has never been put in the General Budget and definitely not by President Johnson. Check “Social Security Facts” on the Internet." -- Good grief.. another Kool-Aid drinker.. All funds deducted from your paycheck, and MATCHED by your employer are sent to the government who substitutes those funds with Treasury Bonds and puts the cash in the General Revenue coffers. So instead of their being cash or appreciable investments in your name, you get pooled with an IOU from the government that the government has the power todevalue so that when it starts "returning" your investment, it does so with money that is no longer worth as much as when you put it into (as Algore claimed) the "lockbox".
---
L-E story: "ST. LOUIS — A judge has extended the term of the grand jury considering whether a white suburban St. Louis police officer should be charged in the shooting death of a black 18-year-old." -- Hmmm... mainstream media seemingly has put its feet back on the ground. No longer is the 18 year old's plight described as "unarmed". but on the other hand MSM isn't ready to be forthwith about the 18 year old's criminal record, and that the police officer was performing his sworn duties.
---
Online story: "The Obama administration quietly has been forcing new gun buyers to declare their race and ethnicity, a policy change that critics say provides little law enforcement value while creating the risk of privacy intrusions and racial profiling. * With little fanfare, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2012 amended its Form 4473 — the transactional record the government requires gun purchasers and sellers to fill out when buying a firearm — to identify buyers as either Hispanic, Latino or not. Then a buyer must check his or her race: Indian, Asian, black, Pacific Islander or white." -- Like the gun is going to know.. or care.. who's firing it? Like the bullet is going to know what language to "speak"? How about just requiring a "photo-ID" and a computer driven federal/police background check? Oh... "photo-IDs" are already required as are background checks. The require "photo-IDs" for voting on new laws about guns...
---
On a local issue.. we need to really look close at how the T.A.D. voter referendum on how it will effect our local state law property tax assessment freeze if passed. Rumors seems to be worried about our current law being ruled null & void, vacated even, if Columbus votes for the new T.A.D. law. All you legal eagle's and representatives.. do your homework and report back so I can get the facts out. Thanx!
---
Local issue update: The thought of a CSU fundraising event to honor/memorialize Hugh Royer, Jr's great influence of the Columbus College golf team have been laid in the laps of Todd Reeser and Mark Immelman. The first sponsor has pledged to support an annual event where then original 18 holes at Bull Creek would be used. Call/e-mail both guys if you support such an event..
---
L-E story: " Some of the nation’s largest cities are ratcheting up their criticism of prescription painkillers, blaming the industry for a wave of addiction and overdoses that have ravaged their communities and busted local budgets. * The heightened rhetoric comes as Chicago tries to recover millions in health care costs from opioid drug-makers, alleging that companies deliberately misled the public about the risks of their drugs. It’s a legal strategy that could be attractive to other cash-strapped cities, but one that experts say will face hurdles in court" -- " blaming the industry for a wave of addiction and overdoses "? Good grief.. how about working on your court systems being activists towards political correctness and your enforcement systems being scowled at for doing their jobs?.. How about getting your representatives to enact laws that help the communities deal with the predators who creep along the street shadows? I guess Chicago is suffering from Obamageddonism... pointing the finger at everyone but itself.
---
From a Richard Hyatt column in the L-E: "When the University System of Georgia is looking for a new president at one of its colleges or universities it often moves with the speed of a 300-pound sprinter on a muddy track. * If Chancellor Hank Huckaby decides a national search is in order at Columbus State, he must appoint a committee composed of faculty, alumni, foundation members, students and community leaders." -- You know.. this is a part of the problem in the education system.. having someone considered by the way he/she can get along with so many focus groups which each has its own agenda is akin to that committee called together to design a horse... a CAMEL will be the result.
---
L-E headline: "Georgia troopers focus on commercial drivers on I-85" -- Hmmm.. it might be better if our legislators focused on why there aren't MORE commercial trucks on I-85.....
---
L-E story: " DECATUR, Ga. — A gunman who was persuaded by a bookkeeper to surrender during a 2013 gun battle with police at a school near Atlanta pleaded guilty to multiple charges Tuesday and was sentenced to 20 years in prison." -- Oh. great... now children of the children terrorized may suffer the same in 20 years while the society of liberals analyze what went wrong with the prison rehab program.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The poverty rate in the United States has dropped for the first time since 2006, bringing a bit of encouraging news about the nation’s economy as President Barack Obama and Congress gear up for midterm elections." -- Good grief.. what lies won't mainstream media make in its efforts to divert attention away from the scandals of Obamageddon, and to promote liberals in election/re-election bids?
---
L-E story: "The agency responsible for safety on the nation’s roads was years late in detecting a deadly problem with General Motors cars and lacks the expertise to oversee increasingly complex vehicles, congressional Republicans charged in a report Tuesday. * The report by a House committee’s GOP majority raised serious questions about the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s ability to keep the public safe, and came as the Senate convened a hearing on the safety agency’s shortcomings. * Safety regulators should have discovered GM’s faulty ignition switches seven years before the company recalled 2.6 million cars to fix the deadly problem, the report concluded." -- What's missing in this story is that Democrats were the Congressional majority 7 years ago,... the union supported Democrat Congressional majority...
---
This "online comment" was inserted into the L-E by one Adam Carlson.. come-lately member of the L-E staff: " Following the destruction of the Mott House, Springer head Paul Pierce wrote for us about the importance of preserving Columbus’ historic sites. But one Facebook fan offered a new perspective on the city’s history. “To you the Mott House or plantation may be a historical landmark, to me it’s a house of horrors where individuals were murdered and held captive against their will,” Matt Jones wrote. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the TSYS campus was built on top of the graves of slaves.” I sent an e-mail to some of the editorialist board at the L-E:
"How could the L-E allow.. ALLOW Adam Carlson to publish this in the L-E? Besides, "who" is Matt Jones, and where did he get his degree in Southern/Columbus history? How can/did Adam Carlson consider this bigoted opinion as historically accurate or pertinent? "

Online headline: "Jay Carney: 'It's Not Going To Be A Good Year For Democrats" -- Good grief... this is ominous .. what if Jay Carney lying as usual? Even scarier is that he is now working on CNN, so the truth is not a prerequisite as a qualification.
---
Online story: ""Hello Iowa. I'm back!" -- Hmmm.. Pop quiz... Optional answers: 1 - Hillewinsky addressing mainstream media in Iowa, 2 - John Kinsella yelling at the Kevin Costner in "Field of Wet Dreams", or 3- the opening dialog of a remake of "Closet Encounters of a Turd Kind"?

HuffPost "story": "Some of your favorite words or phrases might be rooted in bigotry. So if you haven't given much thought to the following sayings, perhaps it's time to start. * In this BuzzFeed video, we are shown words and phrases you might want to note -- so you can stop using them in the future. * For example, did you know the phrase "peanut gallery" is racist toward black Americans? In the video above, "peanut gallery" is defined as "a group of people who criticize, usually by focusing on an insignificant detail." It originates from a time when black Americans were segregated to the upper balcony of theaters and implies these people were "cheap and rowdy." -- "the phrase "peanut gallery" is racist toward black Americans"? Good grief.. the first time I ever heard this phrase was watching "Howdy Doody" and Buffalo Bob when he asked about 30-40 white kids sitting in the "Peanut Gallery", "Hey kids, what time is it?" I've never used it in any other sense than someone who was sitting on the sidelines rather than being a participant..
---
The above was presented as part of an AOL/HuffPost "Black Voices" article on 7 words used in everyday conversations that are "racist".. Notably not considered "racist" are words in everyday black street life conversation such as "nigga" and "honky". Who could possibly be offended by those words.. huh?

Online story: "The San Diego Unified School District received a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle (MRAP) for free last week through Defense Department Program 1033, known as the Excess Property program. * Los Angeles Unified School District also received a MRAP, as well as three grenade launchers and 61 assault rifles * Fire and EMS teams will train with the vehicle to deliver medical professionals in difficult areas" -- San Diego and Los Angeles School Systems need MRAPs? Why.. to escort stdents to school? You know, I'd have thought that Chicago would have a greater need for them.
---
Online headline: "Kirsten Gillibrand: I Couldn't Tell My Harasser 'To Go F*** Himself'" -- The female Democratic Party Senator from NY is certainly no "Lady"... but somehow, we already knew that.
---
Online story: " Congress is dusting off the notion of statehood for the District of Columbia for the first time in 21 years, * District leaders submitted glowing testimony in support of transforming most of the nation's capital into the "state of New Columbia" at a hearing Monday afternoon. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid supports statehood for the District, and President Barack Obama said recently, "I'm for it." -- To begin with if Obamageddon and Reid are for it.. it can't be good for America or America's future. Besides, our founding fathers' intentionally separated the "District of Columbia" from all the now states to prevent a state from being "favored" by legislation. The founding fathers were wise.. and right.
---
Hey, if anyone living in Washington, D.C. feels "unrepresented", move out to an actual state and feel just as neglected of representation the rest of us feel.
---
Online story: "The Obama administration is ramping up its response to West Africa's Ebola crisis, preparing to assign 3,000 U.S. military personnel to the afflicted region to supply medical and logistical support to overwhelmed local health care systems and to boost the number of beds needed to isolate and treat victims of the epidemic." -- "overwhelmed local healthcare systems"? Good grief.. has Obamageddon even thought it through about how 3,000 US military personnel with EBOLA would overwhelm the already overwhelmed VA system?
---
HuffPost headline: "Global warming likely to cause colder and snowier winters, scientists say" -- I repeat.. you cannot make this stuff up.. I may even watch Saturday Night Live this week just to see how "Weekend Update" handles this... or see if Algore become a replacement "Guest Host" doing the opening skit.
---
L-E story: "Pistorius can compete * South Africa’s Olympic committee says there is nothing barring Oscar Pistorius, convicted in the negligent homicide of his girlfriend, from representing the country in future Olympic com .. * the South African Olympic committee has no regulations preventing someone with a criminal record from representing the country." -- " the South African Olympic committee has no regulations preventing someone with a criminal record from representing the country."? Hmmm.. apparently, the same guy who wrote the South African Olympic Committee bylaws, wrote the bylaws for the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
---
Online headline/story: "Skyscrapers built on radioactive site in Australia * As the Brisbane Times reported in 2008, the site was home to a uranium processing plant between 1911 and 1916. The company produced products used to paint luminous clocks, watches and instrument dials." -- Good grief.. think of the "green" aspects.. residents won't have to buy night lights or outside security lights.... the buildings will glow in the dark.
---
Online story: " Philadelphia Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon was suspended seven games and fined Monday night by Major League Baseball for making a lewd gesture and then bumping an umpire. * Papelbon was ejected by West after the umpire thought Papelbon grabbed his crotch in response to the jeers from the crowd" -- Good grief.. Rose(_*_)nne B(_*_)rr did that after singing the National Anthem at a baseball game and got a TV talk show, and this guy gets "BARR-ed" from the game for 7 games. Where's the equality of justice in this?
---
Online story: "U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced a plan aimed at stopping American extremists from joining terrorist groups like ISIS, but during that presentation Monday, he was a bit fuzzy on the details." -- Good grief.. Pric Holder could do more to insure America's future and safety by devising a plan to stop American AND Mexican from voting for Democrats. A photo-ID program would be a good start.
---
A Justice Department spokesman apparently accidentally called the office of House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa last week and, according to Issa, asked to release documents about the IRS targeting scandal to “interested reporters” before Issa had the chance to share them. Apparently, DOJ was screening IRS info as to what might be damaging... more damaging .. to the White House. Shame on them.. of course, "shame" does not embarrass them nor influences change..
---
You know... the "ISIL" Obamageddon refers to is probably an acronym for his voter base... In Stupidity I Live".
---
Online story: "Rutgers is apologizing to Penn State for offensive signs and shirts referencing the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal that some Rutgers fans displayed during a weekend football game.
Rutgers athletic director Julie Hermann apologized in a statement Monday for the "classless display" that she said does not represent the New Jersey school's views or its fan base." -- Good grief.. a female AD thinks college kids aren't going to be college kids? She's brought more public attention to "Beat PED State" t-shirts and signs than the t-shirts and signs did.
---
Online story: "If you weren't watching C-SPAN over Labor Day weekend, (and let's be honest, who wasn't?) you might have missed Congressman Clyburn, a Democrat from South Carolina, speaking about possible ways people can force change in Ferguson, Missouri. * His recommendation: sext. * Congressman James Clyburn apparently has no idea what sexting means." -- Hmmm when you get down to it, Congressman Clyburn nor his voter base have no idea what reality is!
---
HuffPost headline: "Massive sinkhole swallows street in New Orleans' Seventh Ward" -- Good grief.. how could anyone tell the difference...
---
Online story: "the annual Muslim day parade, where Muslims take over Madison Avenue and convert it to an outdoor mosque. * It is always scheduled near the anniversary day of September 11 — takbir! * The theme of the parade was advertised as Islam and America’s shared common values. But it was anything but. * It was a political parade in support of terrorists in Egypt and Gaza. There was a lot of anti-Jewish propaganda — the flags of annihilation coupled with outrageous pro-terror Muslim Brotherhood propaganda. * Before the police confiscated replica guns, the Muslim were posing and “shooting” people." -- Good grief.. Mayor de Blasio stopped "stop and frisk" which had lowered street crime to it's lowest levels in decades, but allow this kind of demonstration,, Freedom is indeed an American ideal.. but even that should be restricted to only our citizens and , in limited ways, to our legal guests.
---
Online story: "Federal prosecutors have accused a former Georgia Democratic Party chair and lawyer of defrauding his legal clients out of more than $1.8 million. * Michael Berlon, 55, of Grayson, was indicted Tuesday on mail and wire fraud charges, federal prosecutors said Friday. Berlon did not immediately respond to a phone message seeking comment. * Berlon is charged with obtaining funds from clients of his law firm and other people through false pretenses, prosecutors said in a news release. The indictment says some clients gave him money thinking he would create a trust for them and keep the money in the trust. Instead, prosecutors said, he used the funds for personal expenses and to repay other clients." -- 55 years old.. guess that does mean he isn't a classmate of our own Michael Eddings... but maybe a mentor?
---
L-E headline/story: "School board unanimously supports redevelopment referendum * Board member John Wells of District 2 explained it this way: "During the time that the redevelopment act is designated for certain areas, the school district will continue to get any amount of revenue that was established prior to that point. So it won't get any increase increments until the end of the redevelopment act is gone. Then whatever new value of the property is, the school board will benefit from the new value, which could be significant over a period of time." -- You know.. this is why we need to go back to an appointed school board.. politicians only think about mew ways to get into the public's pockets. It's also a reason that we need to have our school board and Council election on the November General Election Day. There's too much time for lame duck members to sit around and think of vengeful way to leave office.
---
L-E story: "More than a week after a fire ravaged the historic Calhoun-Griffin-Mott House on the TSYS campus, fire officials are still investigating and the company appears to be still weighing its options." -- Huh? What options... surely rebuilding it "as was" is not being considered... Doing so would be akin to ordering a "kit car" to replace a classic car totaled in an accident. From a distance.. it might "look" similar, but that's where reality ends.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "Nunn has convinced me not to vote for Perdue. Per-due has convinced me not to vote for Nunn. Now what?" -- Hmmm.. the real option is whether you want to support Harry Reid, Pric Holder, and Obamageddon's agenda or not.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " Jesus was a liberal. Will you Republicans continue to deny his words, his message and his existence?" -- Only a low info liberal/Democrat would associate Jesus with themselves, yet not one of them can look into the Bible (hey libs, try reading it so you'll know what's in it for a change) and find where Jesus advocated government to spend tax dollars on welfare programs. Jesus charged each of us, personally and sepcifically, to take care of compassion in HIS name. In other words.. use your own time, your own money, and do so quietly. No clanging cymbals does Jesus want.
---
L-E's "Online comment of the day": “I find it sad that Columbus fails to see the long term savings that could be reaped from the installation of this same turf at Memorial Stadium. It is expensive in the beginning, but it seems to me that the savings in mowing, fertilizing, watering, sodding the bare areas, and the man hours would far exceed the initial costs after a few years. …” — From Irene Alexich Pate on Chuck Williams’ column about Garrett-Harrison Stadium in Phenix City." -- Hmmm.. don't worry Irene.. no jobs would be lost with the City.. the regular mowing, fertilizing, watering, sodding the bare areas schedule would not be interrupted...
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The conservatives have it backwards. They say don’t vote Democratic to save 10,000 jobs at Fort Benning. Then they say vote Republican for smaller government. Which do they want?" -- Here's a definite example of why the Democratic Party should be renamed, "ISIL"... (In Stupidity I Live)...Republicans don't want a crippled of smaller military... Republicans want fewer government departments that aren't provided for in our Constitution.
---
L-E story: " Microsoft’s decision to spend $2.5 billion for the creator of the hit game “Minecraft” could help the Xbox maker grab attention on mobile phones, a new priority for the company." -- Parents! Now is the time to give your children a "phone home only" cellphone. At the same time, you can get revenge for all the "crashes" Microsoft Windows has made you suffer over the last two + decades.

HuffPost story: "ISIS (not ISIL as Obamageddon likes to group Israel into the mix), the extremist fighters in Iraq and Syria responsible for the tragic beheadings of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, has spared no one of its extremism. However, there is one victimized group that isn't receiving as much public attention as it needs: women. * They usually take the older women to a makeshift slave market and try and sell them. The younger girls, basically they ... are raped or married off to fighters, and once these fighters have had sex with these young girls, they just pass them on to other fighters." -- Hmmm.. sorta like the Democrats' "war on women".. enslave them into welfare situations, then pass them around the different programs.
---
Remember those 270 school girls kidnapped by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram last April? Update: 57 "escaped in the first few days, but not one has escaped or been rescued since.... Hmmm, sorta like the Democratic Party Welfare and Voter Registration Plans.. ensnare them all in the welfare "net" (allowing for 20% or so to realize what's going on and escape), then keep the thumb of oppression on the backs of the rest.
---
You know... since all the Islamic jihadist activity began, have you noticed that Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam have just about disappeared from the mainstream media attention? Oh, he's been active.. Farrakhan addressed the killing of unarmed Michael Brown by Ferguson police in the context of the conspiracy against Black youth in general, and will lead a Million Man March in Jamaica next month. GOOGLE Farrakhan..what comes up about Ferguson is limited to conservative or leftwing sources.. the mainstream media is completely silent on Farrankhan. Sppoky... dangerous.
---
Online story: "Hillary Rodham Clinton, making her return to Iowa for the first time since the 2008 presidential campaign, implored Democrats on Sunday to choose shared economic opportunity over "the guardians of gridlock" in an high-profile appearance that drove speculation about another White House bid into overdrive." -- "shared economic opportunity"? Good grief.. America has seen what giving majority control over both Congressional chambers will do, and got OObamaCRAP to prove it. I'm willing to bet Hillewinsky still hasn't read it..
---
Online story: "Don't Drink Caffeinated Beverages - Pass on the soda, energy drinks, and double-shot espressos to better manage atrial fibrillation, Dr. Hedgepeth says. Caffeine increases your heart rate and makes you more susceptible to an Afib episode or other heart arrhythmias. Consider drinking decaffeinated coffees or teas and water instead. To liven up plain water, add a slice of lemon or lime, or drink natural fruit juice for a sweet treat." -- Good grief... when I turned 40, I decided to "heed" info circulating in the medical field..so replaced my "high test" morning beverage with "decaf". When I was 43, I went back to "high test
because of the horror stories about the processing of "decaf" being worse for you than the caffeine. Who's in charge of this story now... Algore?
---
You know... that discount store ad... the one with a group of "fashionistas" confronting another group..One says she likes the other's purse.. she responds, "It's Italian leather".. I have a question about "Italian leather"? Do they skin Italians to get it?
---
Hmm... did you know that Frances Scott Key wrote his poem, "In Defense of Fort McHenry" 200 years ago this past weekend? He wrote it while detained on a British Warship because of his accidental knowledge of the plan to attack Ft McHenry. The poem described what he saw during the night based on the flashes of light generated from explosions. Later, it was adopted to music. We know it as "The Star Spangled Banner". Wish mainstream media had given this as much exposure as it did Hillewinsky going to an Iowa "fish fry".
---
Kanye West is a gem.. Forever more concerned with himself, he chastised two wheelchair bound concert goers for not standing up as he asked so he could sing a certain song. Guess he'll never be asked to be an Ambassador to Australia..for sure.. and hopefully nowhere else, either.
---
Online headline: "Ancient fossil of pig-like animal found and named after Mick Jagger" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought Ancestry.Com had done a DNA check.
---
I'm getting PO'd at the NBC golf announcers... For the second time in recent weeks, the announcers have really made an "old" issue at him being 44. It's like they think the PGA should let him ride around the courses in a "roundabout: scooter.
--
I've always enjoyed "Matlock" (though not for its judicial procedural correctness).. did so when it was original, and maybe even more so in reruns 25-30 years later. I really enjoy seeing the "Atlanta" scenes showing how the Interstate looked then compared to now.
---
Those Tyson ads telling us the chicken strips don't have any "added hormones or steroids".. I' wish Tyson would tell us the strips don't have "steroids" at all.
---
According to the L-E, there's a strangling growth of hydrilla taking over areas on both sides of the Chattahoochee. Hey,, just advertise in Colorado that this stuff is actually hydroponically grown marijuana and it's a "discount pick your own" farm. It'll be cleared in a week or so.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "This week in Georgia: a 2-year-old finds a gun, shoots himself to death. An elderly Iraqi immigrant killed by a stray bullet when a man accidentally shoots himself. We gun-worshipping Georgians are so stupid." -- Hmmm could it simply be that there are ignorant gun possessors, as well as ignorant soundoff submitters?
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If the school board thinks it’s appropriate to have taxpayer-funded private meals, then maybe they could do the same for the bus drivers who haven’t had a raise in many years." -- Good grief.. I suggest we eliminate free meals for board members, and paid drivers to get kids to school. Let the board members feed themselves and parents get involved in their children's school needs.

HuffPost story: "As the United States begins to deepen ties with moderate Syrian rebels to combat the extremist group ISIS, also known as the Islamic State, a key component of its coalition appears to have struck a non-aggression pact with the group" -- Good grief... maybe Obamageddon should hire one of the ISIS leaders as his Mid-East Secretary of State... neither Obamageddon nor Kerry can get anybody to agree on anything...other than Israel is "the enemy"..
---
Hmmm... aren't those "moderate Syrian rebels" the same ones Obamageddon wants to arm with American weapons?
---
Surprise winner of the "ugly uniforms" of the week in college football... Notre Dame... now, ND may not have won if Oregon/Oregon State had been down to their general standards,,
---
HuffPost headline/story: "US Pledges Significant Aid Package To Syrians Affected By War * U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced on Friday nearly $500 million in humanitarian aid for people and countries hit by Syria's civil war. * The aid package includes more than $250 million "to assist refugees and host communities in the neighboring countries affected by the crisis, * Some 3 million Syrian refugees have registered in neighboring countries with 6.5 million thought to be displaced within Syria." -- Hmmm... $250 Million for 3 Million REGISTERED refugees.. that's about $83.00 per person.. but, you know, by the time various despots take "their share, what gets to the actual refugee aid will be $20.00 or less per person Just look at our welfare programs.. 78-80% goes for salaries/benefits and administrative cost of government employees.
---
Hmmm... interesting "discovery" in the L-E: " Barberitos coming to Columbus: Downtown Columbus is seeing yet another infusion of restaurants as the central business district continues to blossom from Broadway to the Chattahoochee River. Most notable is the upcoming opening of 11th and Bay Southern Table that is located in a portion of a former W.C. Bradley cotton warehouse at 1050 Bay Ave., the RiverWalk and a zip line tower just a few steps away." -- Knowing a zip-line is available "just a few steps away" from is not necessarily a good thing.. an undigested meal, swimming in alcohol combined with the thrill of a zip-line does not bode well for those on the RiverWalk.. also only a "few steps away".
---
HuffPost headline: "WHO Demands More Health Workers For War Against Ebola" -- "demands"? Good grief..with the dollars provided to WHO, WHO should have its own field workers on staff.
---
Online quote source: " “There is nothing wrong with dreaming big dreams, just know that all roads that lead to success have to pass through Hardwork Boulevard at some point.” - Eric Thomas " -- "Hardwork Boulevard"? You know... not even Google Maps can find a "Hardwork Boulevard" address for any government, entitlement, or Democratic Party voter registration office.
---
A California State Senator has been convicted... convicted, mind you... for lying about his residence to run in another district other than where he actually lived..* a judge upheld a jury’s verdicts from January that found Wright guilty of eight felonies, including perjury and voting fraud. She sentenced him to 1,500 hours of community service and three years’ probation in addition to the jail time, which she ordered him to begin on Oct. 31. * The judge said Wright is barred for life from holding elective office. But it didn’t appear Friday that the ban would take effect immediately, leaving open the possibility that Wright may continue to draw his $95,291 annual salary until he steps down or is formally ousted by his Senate colleagues." -- Good grief.. the convicted Democrat has been drawing nearly $8,000.00 a month from the taxpayers since he was charged, since he was convicted in January, and unless he resigns, it will take a 2/3rds vote of the Democrat controlled Senate to oust him.. the convict probably will get his salary until the next election, and then will probably start drawing a pension.
---
I just got a huge compliment from a person I admire.. he's a fellow BCer, and about to retire from his perfect public/private job. He wrote: "I appreciate your candor and willingness to express your thoughts in spite of possible reaction." -- I responded.. without comments to react to, little change would ever occur...and especially in the area of government...
---
Democratic... the party of Robert Byrd, Harry Reid, George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Know Knothing Knunn.
---
ISIS just beheaded another.. this time a British citizen.. this, and the three American journalist (Pearl, Foley & Sotloff) bring video deaths to 4.. and we have protesters, and politicians that protesters have the ears of, that complain about America using "waterboarding" to extract information from jihadists that might supply ways to stop Islamic beheadings. I have noticed "they" have sorta receded from the protest spotlight.
--
Something I learned by accident on the I-net... if you put opened cartons of ice cream in a freezer bag, it will prevent "freezer burn". Of course, I'm not sure an opened carton of ice cream in my freezer has ever lasted long enough to need "freezer burn" protection.
---
Looks like Ray Rice's wife might try to get an endorsement contract from some "Armored Undergarments " maker instead..
---
Online headline/story: "Marine biologist Dr. Patrick Rice is also helping to develop the shark repelling scent called a necromone. * A necromone is a chemical signal that tells sharks there are other predators in the area. It's also the smell of dead shark, which is a sure sign for other sharks that danger is around. When sharks smell it, they are hard-wired to flee." -- Hmmm.. now if she wants to make a fortune, she needs to make a "street thug" repellant.. I suggest a combination of scents such as gun powder, and sweat from hard work along with the smell of a rotting street thug carcass.
---
HuffPost headline: "NFL admits to long-term head trauma" -- Thank goodness.. all this tap dancing around personal and politically correct issues has given me a headache.
---
L-E headline: "5,500 people turn out for first White Water Classic in Phenix City" -- You know.. Spending $150,000.00 for a "crowd" of 5,500 is quasi-reasonable, and I don't know all the particulars, but with a tailgating crowd, and same day driving distance for both teams, it doesn't sound like there was a lot of money spent in local restaurants or motels. And what about the hometowns.. Albany or Tuskegee merchants miss out on a lot more potential local businesses and sales tax revenues. Hmmm, I'm just glad it's no longer a burden on Columbus taxpayers.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "One of my third-grade students asked me the other day, after looking at a map of the United States, why all the Republican states are so poor and all the Democratic states so rich." -- Good grief.. if this person is a teacher, and investigation.. no a purge.. should be begun immediately to locate and dismiss said teacher from this school! These "so-called rich states" have the highest crime rates, the highest inner city poverty levels, and the highest rates of government entitlement programs being funded off the back of workers in the "so-called poor states". Income distribution is why Democrat controlled states look "rich". Of course, that's catching up as more companies are vacating those "rich" states because of the tax burdens and by high costs of living caused entitlement programs, and high crime and poverty rates.
---
Columbus Council "work session' Agenda item:
"Sept. 24: Portable Toilet Rental & Service (Annual Contract) — The Consolidated Government of Columbus is seeking vendors to provide portable toilets, hand washing stations and gray water collection containers at various city location sites. The contract term will be for two years, with the option to renew for three additional 12-month periods." -- Hmmm. and how many port-o-lets could be set-up for the cost of a $244K permanent latrine?
" Tree Removal Services (Annual contract) — Remove trees (and all related debris) throughout the city on an “as needed” basis. The contract term will be for two years with the option to renew for three additional 12-month periods." -- Wait a minute.. the City has bought a new 100' reach tree trimmer, a new stump-grinder, and has beaucoup debris pick up trucks in its inventory. Why is a contract being "let" for an outside company to do this stuff?
"Nov. 26: Redevelopment for Claflin School - The city of Columbus is requesting proposals from experienced, creative architects, building and real estate development firms or a philanthropic individual or nonprofit group to present a redevelopment plan for adaptive reuse of the Claflin School building that will be consistent with applicable deed restrictions and preserve the historic site." -- What's going on here? Has an under-the-table-transaction occurred between the MCSD and the City as to which the Claflin School building is now responsible? This reeks of bad politics that even a $244K bathroom facility couldn't handle the smell.
---
Wow.. The Democratic Gubernatorial Primary in NY was very revealing of the discord in the Democratic Party. A relative unknown caused a scare to Coumo. The total vote was niot so close, but the counties' divisions were evident of inner turmoil of the Democrats.

Online story: "Detroit once again tops a list of most expensive cities in America to insure a vehicle. Charlotte ranks as the cheapest. * Detroit drivers pay an astounding 165 percent more than the national average for car insurance, according to InsuranceQuotes.com." -- Sorta ironic and moronic.. the rub being that Detroit, the City of Cars, probably has the highest percent of uninsured cars rolling on its streets.
---
From above story: "The second-most expensive city is New York, where drivers pay only 36 percent higher rates than the national average, followed by Miami at 34 percent and Los Angeles at 25 percent higher than average." -- You know... there's a pattern staring us right in the face.. cities with the highest rates of inner city poverty, cities with the highest rates of Democratic Party voters, cities with Democrat mayors, cities with the highest rates of crime lead the list of places that penalize the responsible segment of their metropolitan area with exorbitant insurance rates.
---
From above story: "Detroiters pay more because of their zip codes. Insurers use something called "territorial rating system" to determine high-risk zip codes and charge drivers who live there more. Detroit's high crime rate results in drivers paying $4,599 per year on average. " -- Hmmm... wanna bet there's a "racial profiling" situation that Attorney General Pric Holder will be soon suing insurance companies over?
---
A Know Knothing Knunn ad pictures her on a GA military airstrip saying she will defend the Warthog aircraft support for the military when she gets to Washington. Of course, once she gets the Washington, we know she won't because she's a Democrat of the worst kind.. she's a "legacy" wannabe of her father.
---
Speaking of the military cuts Know Knothing Knunn says she'll defend, David Perdue doesn't even have to campaign on the issue.. we already KNOW his position on the Warthog aircraft and when he gets to Washington, it won't change or waver.
---
Online story: "MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Star Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been indicted in Texas on a charge of child abuse after using a branch to spank his son, and was swiftly benched by the team on Friday for this weekend's game against New England. * the charge in Montgomery County accuses Peterson of using a branch, or switch, to spank one of his sons, whose age was not disclosed. * "Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. * He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in east Texas." -- As a child, I remember how a maid our family had (and loved dearly) would walk us out to a particular backyard shrub and make us designate which "switch" we wanted her to apply a little discipline with. The "switch" really wasn't the hurtful part.. the "march" and the knowledge we had disappointed her were far more painful than the actually "switching". What is it with mainstream media? Like Ferguson, MO, the ardor mainstream media is evoking over this reminds me of a shark "feeding frenzy". If it weren't the 21st Century, I'd say this media reaction mimics the "witch trials of Salem, Mass.".
---
HuffPost headline: "Planned Parenthood hits GOP" -- Hmmm... speaking of real child abuse....
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Obama makes controversial decision on war * On the cusp of intensified airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, President Barack Obama is using the legal grounding of the congressional authorizations President George W. Bush relied on more than a decade ago to go to war. But Obama has made no effort to ask Congress to explicitly authorize his own conflict." -- Hmmm..."using the legal grounding of the congressional authorizations President George W. Bush relied on "? Is this not "the pattern" of Obamageddon's presidency... don't do anything unless you can "blame Bush" in some capacity?
---
Online story: "When Arnold Schwarzenegger's official portrait was done in 2003, there was a personal touch -- he was depicted wearing a lapel pin featuring the face of his wife, Maria Shriver. * when former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's official portrait was unveiled at the Capitol on Monday, his estranged wife's face was nowhere to be see" -- Hmmm... maybe this was a publicity stunt for the trailer of the sequal of his movie, "Eraser".
---
Online story: "the upcoming "Man of Steel' sequel, "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," which has been filming in Detroit since May." -- Hmmm... guess the studio can save a lot of money not having to blow up buildings to give the scenes the look of devastation that exist there real time.
---
Online headline/story: "Vermont bans lunch staple in public schools * New rules have forced a popular lunchtime treat out of cafeterias across the entire state -- and its substitute doesn't match up. * Vermont bans brownies, turns kids on to kale, gluten-free paleo lemon bars" -- Hmmm, bet this just sealed the deal that will stop Michelle Obama trying to do a "Hillewinsky" run for the presidency in the future.
---
Comment on above: Can you not see next year's Class President election campaign promises of throwing out kale cakes and replace them with chocolate ones?
---
HuffPost headline: "Woman held without bail after gruesome find * Police in Mass. raided the woman's squalid home on Thursday and found three dead babies inside. * Possible explanation her lawyer gave for the tragic scenario" -- "possible explanation her lawyer gave"? Good grief.. I do we have discovered the DNA of the question, "How do you know when a lawyer is lying? .... when he opens his mouth defending a clients".
---
Random discovery: "eating French fries without ketchup may seem strange, but in France, the condiment is banned in primary school cafeterias." -- Why do we still call them French fries?
---
HuffPost oxymoronic "headlie": "Survivors of suicide" -- While there are survivors of suicide attempts, there's no such thing as a survivor of suicide..
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Appeals Court Reinstates Wisconsin's Voter ID Law * In a stunningly fast decision, a federal appeals court in Chicago reinstated Wisconsin's voter photo identification law on Friday — just hours after three Republican-appointed judges heard arguments on reactivating the hotly debated law in time for the November election" -- "three Republican-appointed judges"? You know, when was the last time...(or ever) you heard/saw appeals' court judges on liberal issues be designated as Democratic-appointed judges? Mainstream media.. especially the HuffPost just won't.. maybe just CANNOT... report a story based on the merits rather than the liberal bias.

Sad to report the death of Hugh Royer, Jr... a lot of people will not recognize his name, but he was a professional golfer in the 50s, 60s, & 70s. and won the 1970 Western Open. Not sure of the prize money (the 1899 WO had a purse of $150, and the last one had a purse of $5 MILLION - the 1970 purse was in between, but way South of the $5 Million mark). Little known is that Hugh grew up under the tutelage of Fred Haskins, honoree of the Fred Haskins Award. Even less known is that the Fred Haskins Award figure was modeled after a Hugh Royer 7-iron shot.

Online story: "Late last night, Channel 2 Action News reported that Secretary of State Brian Kemp had leveled voter fraud allegations against the New Georgia Project, one of the largest voter registration efforts underway in the state. * The effort is tied to state House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, D-Atlanta, and the Rev. Raphael Warnock, pastor of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta." -- Finally! I brought this to light a couple of weeks ago when New Georgia Project canvassers brought literature to my front door. While voter registration projects are good in themselves, law prohibits such if the effort is done in a partisan way. The New Georgia Project has distinctive racial prejudice written (literally!) all over it, thius it's actually an ethic violation for State Representative Stacey Abrams.

Did you know our government has a program to get monkeys drunk? So far, $3.2 Million has been spent on this. Somewhere in this is a class action suit based on monkeys not having OObamaCRAP to pay for the 12-Step rehab programs they're going to need.
---
Hmmm.. so monkeys are getting $3.2 Million, while the study to figure out why most lesbians are obese "has only spent" $3 Million.

A 19 year old American was targeted and killed in New jersey. No drugs or robbery were involved. The killer has been arrested and freely confessed he did this purely as "revenge" for American actions in the Mid-East. He also confessed to two other random killings of men who were gay. Mohammed Brown is a domestic Islamic jihadist.. no different than the Beltway Sniper, or Major Hisan at Ft Hood. ISIS is here...

You know, with all Obamageddon said Wednesday night, the most silent aspect was on how he will get Sgt Tahmooressi out of a Mexican jail to rejoin his Marine Unit.

Romney was my choice of support in 2008 & 2012, and I place his defeat at the hands of his Republican Party strategists for not "turning him loose" to run the race he was more than capable of handling, but I'm sure it's who is needed in 2016. On a Sunday TV show, Romney indicated "his time had come and gone", but after watching a Democratic Party focus group respond to that statement, I'm about to believe the DNC is afraid of him running against Hillewinsky.
---
Online headline: "Kerry: U.S. Not At War With ISIS, "It's A Major Counter-Terrorism Operation" -- In other words... a tap dance around the permission Obamageddon needs to get from Congress.
---
Obamageddon insists that ISIS/ISIL is not an Islamic terror group. Huh? Well, Mr Obamageddon, how about supplying us the names of a few Christian and Jewish who have decapitated American journalists like Pearl, Foley, and Sotloff!

Scotland needs to rethink its plans to secede from Great Britain Forget how it would affect currency or David Cameron's role.. Think about the British Open and the Claret Jug. Scottish golf course would be eliminated from the choices.

Sorry to see we're going to lose the head of our Chamber of Commerce, Make Gaymon, to retirement. Never has a person been better suited for his job than Mike Gaymon. Mike has a knack of bringing people together .. often in a self-deprecating way that just make people laugh and be comfortable. One good thing though, he might be available to head up the Crime Prevention Committee again. His leadership has been sorely missed.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "I sure wish I lived in Josh McKoon’s district. I would love to have the opportunity to vote against him." -- and maybe not.. especially if you moved into a district where your representative earns your vote by his actions, not hollow campaign promises of a better life that will never come.
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "Ten years ago, U.S. warplanes in Iraq unleashed devastating airstrikes on a suspected hideout for operatives from an al-Qaida-linked group the same day a video posted on a website in the name of the militants purportedly showed the beheading of a kidnapped Turkish truck driver." -- Hmmm.. don't you wish Obamageddon could blame a similar response on Bush to his buddies...
---
L-E story: "video obtained by The Associated Press and first aired by CNN shows two landscapers who were working near the street where Brown was shot by officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9. In the video, a man can be heard saying, “He had his (expletive) hands up,” while one of the workers raises his own hands in the air.
* The man who took the cellphone video, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared for his safety, said the voice is that of the worker raising his hands, but that isn’t clear on the video. * The comment on the video largely matches those of residents of the apartment complex where the shooting occurred, who said Brown was surrendering when he was killed." -- "video largely matches"? What about the bvideo comments of a "witness" relating Brown's "bum rush" towards Officer Wilson.. This video claim certainly doesn't "largely match" that.
