Between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, they have 650,000 trained Muslim soldiers
employed. Why don't they use them against ISIS to actually demonstrate that they
don't support Muslim jihadist?

Jason Carter says he would have a separate, protected budget for education
and another for the rest of the state's needs. Hmmm.. so education costs would
escalate at the expense of the other state services and employees.

HuffPost headline/story: "DHS 'Will Respond Aggressively' To Reported
Mistreatment of Immigrant Detainees
* The government is doing what it can to improve conditions at family detention centers following recent complaints, but will continue detaining women and children who crossed the border illegally, Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Tuesday." -- Good grief.. sounds like the ABA policing its lawyers, and the NFL union handing domestic abuse cases of players. Those wet-noodle lashes are really effective... NOT!
---
Online headline: "Union appeals Rice's indefinite suspension by NFL" -- See above response.

HuffPost headline: " Top Obama Adviser: The President Didn't Change, ISIS
Did" -- Good grief... hang around until tomorrow and Obamageddon will have
changed again.

The committee meeting discussing ISIS/ISIL controls was "struck" by liberal
protesters. Talk about a reversal of fortune for the Democratic Party.
---
You know, the "October Surprise" Democrats usually try to raise in about 2
weeks before the General Election date may bite them on their jackasses. If the
Republicans just let Democrats step on their own "privates" rather than trying
to orchestrate such, we may get unexpected results that can get control back in
the hands of the people.

Hey, about those 3,000 soldiers being sent into Africa to help curtail Ebola... Let's petition Congress to pass a new law requiring that all soldiers sent to African ebola outbreaks be reassigned to the Secret Service Presidential Guard duty when they get back.
---
Statistics reveal 1-in-40 NFL players are arrested annually... 2.5%. You know, that's a lower crime rate statistic than on the streets of Chicago, NYC, LA, Atlanta, and even Columbus.

You know, recent disclosures of irregularities in the DOJ sorting out Hillewinsky-pertinent documents concerning Benghazi are grabbing traction.
---
I wish mainstream media would get upset at the IRS and Benghazi scandals as it has for Ferguson, MO and the NFL.
---
Once again, Obamageddon has expressed his condolences for another victim of an Islamic beheading. Once again, he headed off to the golf course to work on his own "slicing" problem.

The Columbus RiverCenter is advertising an upcoming operatic event. The ad states the star is an "African-American" as it shows an audio/video example of his marvelous voice. Now, wouldn't we be offended if the RiverCenter ran the same ad highlighting Pavarotti .. and referred to him as an "Italian-Caucasian" while showing an audio/video of him performing?

You know.. the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl is going to hate "GOOGLE" by the end of 2016..GOOGLE makes all her gaffs and scandals pop-up every time even liberals type her name into the GOOGLE search engine.

HuffPost story: "Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) announced on Tuesday that she plans to introduce legislation that would revoke the NFL’s tax-exempt status unless the league’s owners put pressure on the Washington football team to change the team's name." -- Seriously, I did check to see if this was not intended for an April 1st print date... good grief.. I really want to see the Senate voting list on this one.. especially during the season.. maybe she can get RG III's endorsement.. yeah.. right.

Online story: "South Korean border guards arrested an American man who they
believe was attempting to swim across a river into rival North Korea, * The man
was apprehended Tuesday night while lying on a bank of the Han River, which is
in a restricted military area near the border * The man was in his late 20s or
early 30s told investigators that he tried to go to North Korea to meet leader
Kim Jong Un." -- You know... we need to get our citizenship rules in order. if
someone with American citizenship and passport illegally attempts/succeeds in
crossing into another country illegally (active duty soldiers exempted, of
course), then said (_*_) should have his.her American citizenship permanently
revoked.

Have you seen the list of NFL sponsors voicing disdain for the NFL
scandals, and the manner the NFL is handling them? Some big, big names here..
They are huffing and puffing, and threatening to "blow the house down", but...
but.. none have said,, "enough"!..."I quit"!

Random Soapbox thought: If journalists are so stupid, so unpatiotic, that
they will align themselves with terrorists in order to get video, then the US
State Department should put microchips in them, and give the military
permission to use those journalists as targets for smart-missiles and drones
when terorists near them are engaged in violence.

Online story: "A woman in Thailand is said to have committed suicide by
leaping into a pond of crocodiles at a farm in Bangkok. * Wanpen Inyai
reportedly jumped from a walkway early Friday morning where visitors usually
view the deadly animals. * The BBC reports the pond contained hundreds of
crocodiles. Staffers attempted to save the woman but they were unsuccessful." --
Hmmm.. wonder if her DNA will show up in a Swiss pocketbook shop and catch Oprah
Winfrey's attention?
---
HuffPost headline: "When given a choice between Hillary Clinton and Mitt
Romney, an overwhelming number of the 51,000 people surveyed chose a third
option." -- You know.. all contested political races should give the voters
another choice: "None of the Above", and if a majority of voters select that
option, the other candidates should become ineligible for future public
service.
---
Online story: "The United Nations has named Leonardo DiCaprio a UN
Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change." -- Good grief..
where'd he get his scientific expertise.. Algore U?

Online story: "According to several reports, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and a
group of nearly 150 people racked up a bill of more than $25,000 at the Las
Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and then proceeded to leave ... without leaving a tip. *
the order included $600 worth of chicken wings, 20 bottles of Rose champagne
totaling $11,500 and several other types of alcoholic beverages." -- Hmmm... for
$25,000.00 worth of pricey appetizers and $500+ per bottle of sparkling grape
juice, the Hard Rock Hotel should have been paying their staff well enough.
---
HuffPost story: "The final report from a landmark federal study on
hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, found no evidence that chemicals or brine
water from the gas drilling process moved upward to contaminate drinking water
at a site in western Pennsylvania." -- Good grief.. the entire Sierra Club
membership should be on "suicide prevention watch" all weekend! Hmmm... or
maybe not...q;-)

L-E story: " A military aircraft flying over Columbus apparently broke
the sound barrier Tuesday afternoon with a thunderous boom, setting off cars
alarms and sending people out into the streets. * Breaking the sound barrier is
only possible with a military aircraft. * a spokeswoman for the Federal
Aviation Administration, said there were some military flights in the area but
not supersonic. “We are aware that military flight activity was underway over
the area, but we don’t know about any supersonic flights," -- Good grief.. how
naive does the Obamageddon staff think we are.. Obamageddon was in Atlanta so
his toy was probably parked at Warner Robins AFB, and some fighter jets were
probably patrolling/checking out golf courses.. still doesn't make it OK to
illegally fly over a city at supersonic speeds.. but do we expect White House
directives to be concerned with legalities?
---
L-E headline: "Seven Muscogee schools receive state honors for progress" --
Why are such records looked at as a badge of honor within the school system?
Telling the students that they are part of a school that is failing just
magnifies their frustration. Falsely praising "bunts" as "Home Runs" lowers the
goals schools have, but doesn't elevate the spirit needed to carry forward. The
Carver situation is the most bothersome of all. Millions have been thrown into
Carver on a massive overhaul in the 90s, and in a total rebuild just a few years
ago, and results have been pathetic.. Why not swapping about half the Jrs &
Srs form Columbus High with students from Carver for a few years.. let Carver
students experience a successful surrounding/environment, and let Columbus High
students take a "can do" attitude to Carver.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The reason you don’t see the country moving forward
is because you live in a state controlled by Republicans. Republicans don’t want
forward motion." -- Hmmm... it's evident this Low Info Voter doesn't realize
he/she lives in a Democratic Party controlled City and School System.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": " The Social Security Fund has never been put in the
General Budget and definitely not by President Johnson. Check “Social Security
Facts” on the Internet." -- Good grief.. another Kool-Aid drinker.. All funds
deducted from your paycheck, and MATCHED by your employer are sent to the
government who substitutes those funds with Treasury Bonds and puts the cash in
the General Revenue coffers. So instead of their being cash or appreciable
investments in your name, you get pooled with an IOU from the government that
the government has the power todevalue so that when it starts "returning" your
investment, it does so with money that is no longer worth as much as when you
put it into (as Algore claimed) the "lockbox".
---
L-E story: "ST. LOUIS — A judge has extended the term of the grand jury
considering whether a white suburban St. Louis police officer should be charged
in the shooting death of a black 18-year-old." -- Hmmm... mainstream media
seemingly has put its feet back on the ground. No longer is the 18 year old's
plight described as "unarmed". but on the other hand MSM isn't ready to be
forthwith about the 18 year old's criminal record, and that the police officer
was performing his sworn duties.

Online story: "The Obama administration quietly has been forcing new gun
buyers to declare their race and ethnicity, a policy change that critics say
provides little law enforcement value while creating the risk of privacy
intrusions and racial profiling. * With little fanfare, the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2012 amended its Form 4473 — the
transactional record the government requires gun purchasers and sellers to fill
out when buying a firearm — to identify buyers as either Hispanic, Latino or
not. Then a buyer must check his or her race: Indian, Asian, black, Pacific
Islander or white." -- Like the gun is going to know.. or care.. who's firing
it? Like the bullet is going to know what language to "speak"? How about just
requiring a "photo-ID" and a computer driven federal/police background check?
Oh... "photo-IDs" are already required as are background checks. The require
"photo-IDs" for voting on new laws about guns...

On a local issue.. we need to really look close at how the T.A.D. voter
referendum on how it will effect our local state law property tax assessment
freeze if passed. Rumors seems to be worried about our current law being ruled
null & void, vacated even, if Columbus votes for the new T.A.D. law. All you
legal eagle's and representatives.. do your homework and report back so I can
get the facts out. Thanx!
---
Local issue update: The thought of a CSU fundraising event to
honor/memorialize Hugh Royer, Jr's great influence of the Columbus College golf
team have been laid in the laps of Todd Reeser and Mark Immelman. The first
sponsor has pledged to support an annual event where then original 18 holes at
Bull Creek would be used. Call/e-mail both guys if you support such an
event..

L-E story: " Some of the nation’s largest cities are ratcheting up their
criticism of prescription painkillers, blaming the industry for a wave of
addiction and overdoses that have ravaged their communities and busted local
budgets. * The heightened rhetoric comes as Chicago tries to recover millions in
health care costs from opioid drug-makers, alleging that companies deliberately
misled the public about the risks of their drugs. It’s a legal strategy that
could be attractive to other cash-strapped cities, but one that experts say will
face hurdles in court" -- " blaming the industry for a wave of addiction and
overdoses "? Good grief.. how about working on your court systems being
activists towards political correctness and your enforcement systems being
scowled at for doing their jobs?.. How about getting your representatives to
enact laws that help the communities deal with the predators who creep along the
street shadows? I guess Chicago is suffering from Obamageddonism... pointing the
finger at everyone but itself.
---
From a Richard Hyatt column in the L-E: "When the University System of
Georgia is looking for a new president at one of its colleges or universities it
often moves with the speed of a 300-pound sprinter on a muddy track. * If
Chancellor Hank Huckaby decides a national search is in order at Columbus State,
he must appoint a committee composed of faculty, alumni, foundation members,
students and community leaders." -- You know.. this is a part of the problem in
the education system.. having someone considered by the way he/she can get along
with so many focus groups which each has its own agenda is akin to that
committee called together to design a horse... a CAMEL will be the result.
---
L-E headline: "Georgia troopers focus on commercial drivers on I-85" --
Hmmm.. it might be better if our legislators focused on why there aren't MORE
commercial trucks on I-85.....
---
L-E story: " DECATUR, Ga. — A gunman who was persuaded by a bookkeeper to
surrender during a 2013 gun battle with police at a school near Atlanta pleaded
guilty to multiple charges Tuesday and was sentenced to 20 years in prison." --
Oh. great... now children of the children terrorized may suffer the same in 20
years while the society of liberals analyze what went wrong with the prison
rehab program.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — The poverty rate in the United States has dropped
for the first time since 2006, bringing a bit of encouraging news about the
nation’s economy as President Barack Obama and Congress gear up for midterm
elections." -- Good grief.. what lies won't mainstream media make in its efforts
to divert attention away from the scandals of Obamageddon, and to promote
liberals in election/re-election bids?
---
L-E story: "The agency responsible for safety on the nation’s roads was
years late in detecting a deadly problem with General Motors cars and lacks the
expertise to oversee increasingly complex vehicles, congressional Republicans
charged in a report Tuesday. * The report by a House committee’s GOP majority
raised serious questions about the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration’s ability to keep the public safe, and came as the Senate
convened a hearing on the safety agency’s shortcomings. * Safety regulators
should have discovered GM’s faulty ignition switches seven years before the
company recalled 2.6 million cars to fix the deadly problem, the report
concluded." -- What's missing in this story is that Democrats were the
Congressional majority 7 years ago,... the union supported Democrat
Congressional majority...

This "online comment" was inserted into the L-E by one Adam Carlson..
come-lately member of the L-E staff: " Following the destruction of the Mott
House, Springer head Paul Pierce wrote for us about the importance of preserving
Columbus’ historic sites. But one Facebook fan offered a new perspective on the
city’s history. “To you the Mott House or plantation may be a historical
landmark, to me it’s a house of horrors where individuals were murdered and held
captive against their will,” Matt Jones wrote. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the
TSYS campus was built on top of the graves of slaves.” I sent an e-mail to some
of the editorialist board at the L-E:
"How could the L-E allow.. ALLOW Adam Carlson to publish this in the L-E?
Besides, "who" is Matt Jones, and where did he get his degree in
Southern/Columbus history? How can/did Adam Carlson consider this bigoted
opinion as historically accurate or pertinent? "
