Nordstroms last week, and T-Mobile this week... these are the latest two major businesses to close up stores in downtown San Francisco because they cannot put up with the thefts and dangers those locations have experienced.. This brings the total up to 18 national companies who have pulled out of San Francisco to date.. that brings the vacant commercial square footage up to 18,000,000 square feet.. nearly a third of such space available...I imagine more local shops and restaurants have closed because of the same problems..
