Online headline: "US Gov't Denies Existence of Zombies" -- Wonder how much this project cost us! --- Online story: "WARSAW, Poland — President Barack Obama has written a letter to the Polish president expressing "regret" for an inadvertent verbal gaffe that caused a storm of controversy in Poland this week. * Obama on Tuesday used the expression "a Polish death camp" while honoring a Polish World War II resistance hero rather than wording that would have made clear that he meant a death camp that Nazi Germany operated on Polish soil during its wartime occupation of Poland." -- You'd think with all the practice potUS Arpege has had that he would have apologizing down to an art form that the world would gladly accept and forgive him for his gaffes. --- Online headline: "Jobs Report Deals Big Blow to Obama" -- Bet he doesn't want to talk about this either, just as he doesn't want to talk about using 'blow' in high school and college. --- Online headline: "Day after proposing anti-big-sugary-drink initiative, Bloomberg marks National Donut Day in NY" -- Maybe the exercise you get from chewing a doughnut differentiates 'doughnuts' from 'sugary sodas' which you drink in Nanny Bloomberg's mind? --- Maybe requiring public defenders and court appointed criminal lawyers to post a performance bond in case an appeals court send a case back to the lower courts based on 'ineffective counsel' isn't enough...maybe having the lawyers pictures posted in the legal section for their second offense should be considered.... you know, DWI .. Defending While Incompetent/Inefficient. --- From a fellow BCer: Have you seen the new commemorative gun being made to bring attention to Congress?
It doesn't work and you can't fire it! --- Online headline: "Disney World Scammers Scored Four Years of Free Vacations" -- You know, I think I'm somewhat amused that Disney is experiencing the same feeling I've had every time we gotten our our bill from there. --- Have you noticed that since his last "gay-ffe", VEEP Biden-Biden, has been relegated to anonymity? Between the polls, and the words/actions of the Clintons, don't be surprised if we see Biden feign a health related need to withdraw from the November ticket, and Hillary step-in. This works for her big time as the 2016 line-ups begin jockeying for position. --- Well, it sure didn't make mainstream media reports, but I have confirmed this travesty happened. Veterans were not allowed to visit the Viet Nam Memorial on Memorial Day until after potUS Arpege's campaign speech. In fact, only special visitors with pre-event tickets were allowed to be there for the speech. We all paid for this, most with our tax dollars, but many with their lives. After 4 years of spotlight, one can only ask, "Who is this 'masked man?" --- Online headline: "He Knew He Was Gay at Age 6 * Sitting down with Oprah is bound to open you up. But when the host asked Neil Patrick Harris about sexuality, things got very personal." -- Ain't no way a 6 year old "knows" he's 'gay'. If he'd said he's always wondered why only girls wore pigtails, I'd believe he knew that at age 6, but not this. --- L-E headline/story: "SEC PRESERVES OLDEST RIVALRIES * An overwhelming majority of SEC teams voted for the 6-1-1 format despite opposition from a group of teams led by LSU to abolish permanent opponents and play a 6-2 format." -- Aha! Poor LSU... They have no 'friends', and LSU doesn't want to have to play Alabama again! --- Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Most Republicans don’t give to charitable organizations because it’s the right thing to do. They give to charitable organizations because they get a big tax break out of it. " -- Give a liberal an opportunity to open its mouth, and it will. A partial charitable donation is not near the tax break of either getting an unearned tax credit or refund for not having paid any income tax. --- Another liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Our government has control of what the minimum wage is, not the unions. " -- Another lib opens its mouth and 'proves' what the rest of us know. The DIM&DUMBERats control the minimum wage, and do so to keep the unions in their pocket. Every time their is a raise in the minimum wage, union contracts get an automatic boost in salary base, even the highest paid. A raise in the minimum wage does not mean every one in a private industry non-union job will get a raise. --- L-E story: "Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and the Law Enforcement Torch Run are teaming up for the 12th year to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Athletes in Georgia. " -- Doesn't it strike you as ironic that Krispy Creme would partner with police officers in a running verses 'dunking' event? Anyway, be there on June 9th! --- L-E story: "SANFORD, Fla. — A judge on Friday revoked the bond of the neighborhood watch volunteer charged with murdering Trayvon Martin and ordered him returned to jail within 48 hours, saying George Zimmerman and his wife misled the court about how much money they had available when his bond was set at $150,000. " -- Wait a minute! Is this judge saying that the court not only established the bond amount, but guaranteed it, too? I thought that the 'bond' guarantee was between a bonding company and a person accused of a crime, and the bonding company did the due diligence, for its own protection, on the accused. Sounds like a politically correct prosecutorial maneuver. --- L-E story: "RALEIGH, N.C. — Jurors from the John Edwards trial spoke out on TV news shows Friday morning, saying the prosecution did not bring enough proof to persuade the majority of jurors the former presidential candidate broke campaign finance laws. " -- Political BS! The only thing a hung jury means is that Edwards could not convince a jury that the prosecutors case was completely off base. Some, possibly most, did not think Edwards was wrongly charged. --- L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Is it “anything goes” now in America’s campaign finance system? * John Edwards is acquitted of using campaign cash as hush money." -- "Acquitted"? No way! Edwards has not been acquitted; the jury just couldn't find unanimity in its decision.. either way. --- L-E headline: "Jobless rate now a leading political indicator " -- "now a leading political indicator"? It's always the leading political indicator! --- L-E story: "Three men in a dark sport utility vehicle who may have been involved in a series of armed robberies shot a motorist this morning off Veterans Parkway in north Columbus, police said. * The victim, a 26-year-old man, told investigators the SUV cut him off in traffic before one of the occupants fired and shot him in the shoulder." -- Surely, when these guys are caught, the charged will be a "hate crime"; on the other hand, probably not. --- L-E story: "DOTHAN, Ala. — A former Alabama judge who retired under a cloud and surrendered his law license remains eligible for his state pension of more than $111,000 annually, the state retirement system said Friday. " -- This is just wrong! Perhaps a look at all government pension plans is in order to make sure that government workers who retire under ethics charges or are convicted lose all pension money paid by the taxpayers. Even personal contributions were paid with tax dollars. This would probably eliminate at lot of 'ethics lapses' within government. ---
