A conservative's daily look at the news with an aspect of "Laugh-In Looks at the News" and "Johnny Carson's monologue" twisted in.

Online headline/story:"Wisconsin Recall Election: Woman Slaps Tom Barrett After His Concession Speech * Democratic challenger Tom Barrett faced a throng of unhappy supporters on Tuesday night after conceding Wisconsin's recall election to Republican Gov. Scott Walker. Yet one woman was so dissatisfied that she actually slapped the mayor for conceding. * "She was upset about him giving the concession speech while she still felt there were votes to be counted," Sater said. "He looked at her and said 'I'd rather you hug me' so he leaned down thinking that she was going to hug him and she slapped him." -- This is a true DIM&DUMBERat follower. Like animals, if a trainer stops feeding them, they turn on their trainer.

Online headline/story: "Scott Walker Defeats Tom Barrett In Wisconsin Recall Election * Scott Walker did it. In the historic Wisconsin recall battle, Walker emerged victorious on Tuesday, beating back labor unions and Democrats who tried to kick him out of office. Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz issued the following statement on the outcome of the recall contest: "Despite the disappointing outcome of tonight’s election, there is no question that over the past year this recall effort sent a message to Scott Walker that his brand of divisive politics is offensive and wrong." -- This recall sent a message to Scott Walker? Where do the D&Ds find these people. The messages the voters sent was one of support of Scott Walker's initiatives, and that they liked the results so far. The only message the D&D's sent was that they are crybabies, malcontents, and feel no shame for tax revenues (other people's money) being spent on getting what they want.

Online headline/story: "Bill Clinton Gives President Obama Another Headache * Former president Bill Clinton caused additional headaches for the Obama campaign on Tuesday when he told CNBC that he wouldn't have a problem with Congress temporarily extending all the Bush tax cuts, which are due to expire at the end of the year." -- Just setting up Hillary for 2012 and 2016... bye-bye Biden.

From Richard Hyatt's column: "I met John Phillips before we were introduced. He
and his wife, Suzanne, stepped off an elevator at the Marriott. The late Bob
Bushong came through the front door of the hotel, and I intercepted them near
the front desk. Seeing me, the color left Bushong’s face. “Don’t do this to me,”
he begged. Phillips was the mystery guest for dinner. Bushong was to deliver him
to the River Club where the Bar-tow County Superintendent would dine privately
with members of the Muscogee County School Board. * Reporters were not
invited. " -- "Reporters were not invited"? Well, I reckon not! From the
appearance of the wasteful use of taxpayer dollars to wine and dine Phillips and
the MCSD board, I'm sure reporters were about as welcome at the River Club as
reporters would have been welcomed at the GSA retreat/convention that's been in
the news for its extravagant waste of tax dollars.

WRBL News3 report: "MCSD teachers face 2013 furlough days * They call them calendar adjustment days, but what it is, is we basically had to balance the budget out of the pockets of our employees,” said (MCSD Chairwoman Cathy) Williams."
-- "balance the budget out of the pockets of our employees"? Excuse me, Madam Chair, but what you are having to do is reallocate tax dollars that are available to you for redistribution. It's not about taking anything out of employees' pockets, it's about how much you can put in their pockets that has been taken out of taxpayers' pockets.

L-E story: "The U.S. has terminated funding for a $20 million project to develop a Pakistani version of “Sesame Street” in response to alleged corruption by the local workshop after working on the initiative." -- Well, now if we can only get Congress to stop funding the liberal version of Sesame Street for the same reasons.
---
L-E story: "Come 2015, there won’t be any more candy, sugary cereal or fast food on TV with the morning cartoons. The Walt Disney Co. became the first major media company to ban ads for junk food." -- Wanna bet whether Disney will stop serving junk food at their theme park restaurants?

Looks like I will have to choose the Democrat Ballot in the July primaries/non-partisan election. Too many races will be determined then rather than in July.
