Under the administration plan, undocumented immigrants will be immune from deportation if they were brought to the United States before they turned 16 and are younger than 30, have been in the country for at least five continuous years, have no criminal history -- What an oxymoron! Living illegally in this country IS a crime, therefore all are criminals. "The policy will not lead toward citizenship but will remove the threat of deportation and grant the ability to work legally," -- I'm sure Americans looking for jobs will be thrilled. One other thing, if a 16 year old who was brought here illegally by his parents 5 years prior, is found out, and his/her parents are caught and deported, what's potUS Arpege gonna do with the 16 year old who can stay because of his policy? --- The latest from barackobama.com: "I'm about to sit down for lunch with a few grassroots supporters who are being flown in from Arizona, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. * It'll just be me and these four supporters, with enough time to relax and have a real conversation." -- "Real conversation"? Yeah, right. Liberals just want the unfettered ability to break the laws they don't like, and why should the laws of God be any different in breaking the laws of man. --- Politicians are always thinking of ways to sugar coat their source of power... taxes. Locally, most SPLOSTs have been successful because the campaigns stress that they are temporary, specific, and outsiders will help us pay for our 'goodies'. The T-SLOST is a misnomer. There is nothing temporary about it, there are no specific 'goodies' that limit its use, and we end up paying more sales taxes than we will get returned to us... forever. This is just another, though directed to certain use, sales tax. --- I always had a problem with the extended NBA season, but tomorrow is Father's Day, and Wednesday is the first day of summer, and there still won't be a NBA champion decided, and it looks like the playoffs may extend into next season's schedule. --- L-E headline: "Coaches honoring late friend with ‘Drive for Dinger’ * Foundation gives healthy meals to cancer survivors " -- Why would a Foundation have giving a healthy meal to someone who has shown the ability to win the struggle with cancer? Whatta waste of time and money. Now, if that Foundation really wanted to do something meaningful, it would focus on helping either patients with cancer or help surviving family members cope with their losses. ---
