The Des Moines Register endorsed Governor Romney... even the most liberal of DIM&DUMBERats have had to sit back and look at themselves.. the Des Moines Register is not the New York Times...people actually respect the Des Moines Register.

---

Online headline/story: "UBS to Cut 10,000 Jobs * The Zurich-based bank said the job cuts will come about as the company will be "exiting business lines, predominantly those in fixed income that have been rendered uneconomical by changes in regulation and market developments ..." -- potUS Oblunder will blame this on Governor Romney's closing of his fixed income account.

---

Online headline: "Teen Faces 17 Charges For Abduction And Murder Of Jessica Ridgeway" -- Let's pray he gets convicted on all 17 counts, and gets 17 jolts of electricity.

---

Online headline: "Thousands Without Power In Detroit" -- Ooops, my bad, thought someone had investigated the Detroit Tigers Major and Minor league batting averages.

---

Instant replay - Online headline: "Thousands Without Power In Detroit" -- Ooops, my bad again. Thought the actual taxpayers still living in Detroit realized they cannot elect one of their own.

---

WTVM9 news story: "To get more of an insight on what a swim center can do for our area, Columbus City Council turned to Robbie Perkins, mayor of Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday where a similar facility is already up and running. * "The event bookings far exceeded our expectations, and we ended up doing about $42 million the first 12 months this facility was open," said Perkins." -- And the best estimate our dr. Worsley could come up with was about 1/100th of that amoiunt or=f revenue, and an operating cost of negative $1,200,000.00. Maybe we should recruit the Greensboro Parks&Rec and Natatorium directors to come here.

---

Heard an ad tidbit that summed up the Benghazi travesty in a nutshell... potUS Oblunder called the SEALs and Osama bin Laden died; 2 SEALs called potUS Oblunder and they died.

---

"The SEALs removed one threat to America, now it's time for the voters to remove the other." - Retired Navy SEAL Brad Nagel
---

potUS Oblunder went back to the White House to check Netflix and YouTube to find a video he can blame his gaffes on.

---

Hurricane Sandy..Who's idea was it to call a hurricane "Sandy"? When we start over next year are we going to have hurricanes named Andi, Bambi, and Candi?

---

The Tidwell Cancer Center has been redesignated as the John B . Amos Cancer Center. Dr Jack sold it to Columbus Regional & retired. Bet it shuts down within a year... Well, So much for competition keeping cancer care low cost.

---

The L-E reports of another situation involving Slater, and Shelnutt, and a Shelnutt client who happens to be a sheriff's deputy who got caught criminally breaking privacy laws, and is on paid leave until Slater decides to move on it. It's been 15 months; it's time to move on Slater.

---

L-E story: "Pasadena, Calif. - Scientists say the Martian soil at the rover Curiosity's landing site contain minerals similar to what's found on Hawaii's Mauna Kea volcano." Whoa! Maybe there is some connection with potUS Oblunder being an alien (and not just an illegal one). Remember the archeology site picture of the big eared drawing that looked exactly like potUS?

---

Excuse me, but how does moving the IRS office from its Macon Road area to near Midland make it more convenient for Columbus?

Latest from barackobama.com: "Will you drive down from Georgia to help our friends in Florida win the 29 electoral votes that could re-elect President Obama? * John Lewis" -- Guess John Lewis, D-GA, has written off GA wants D&Ds to go vote in FL....

---

Latest from barackobama.com :

-- Guess he's talking with the 'Obamaphone gal" on how to use it.

---

An interesting point was made yesterday... Soldiers under fire would not "paint" a target with a laser beam UNLESS they are expecting air support to take out that target, because when they "paint" a target, they are exposing their own position to the enemy. SEAL Tyrone Woods must have believed a US air support was in the area and ready to take out the mortar position. Who gave the order for it not to fire?

---

Latest from barackobama.com: "Hal -- This is a serious storm, but we are going to do what it takes to keep people safe and secure, and make sure the communities affected get the assistance they need. FEMA is working with state and local governments to respond effectively." -- Hmmm.. do you think potUS Oblunder would be assuring states down South in the Romney camp that all these services would be in place?

---

One weather report says 10,000,000 New Englanders "will be in the dark" when Hurricane Sandy hits. Could have fooled me; there must be 10,000,000 "in the dark" voters in New York, alone.

---

Saw a new (2012) school bus pulling out of Green Island yesterday AM. Please don't tell the L-E or the MCSD board, because it will be swapped out with an old one in South Columbus.

---

Now he focuses on his job! potUS Oblunder uses Hurricane Sandy as an excuse to abandon Florida and head back to Washington where he will endanger all the aircraft taxpayers foot the bill for.
---

SpaceX Dragon just completed it's first of 12 contracted missions to the Space Lab. The NASA contract is for $133 million per trip. Once again, private industry proves it can do things cheaper than the government, make it work, create jobs, and...and do so on a profitable basis.

---

L-E story: "Starting Friday, those receiving unemployment benefit money from the Georgia Department of Labor will have no choice. * Recipients will be requires to either choose direct deposit to have cash deposited into their checking accounts - something the state already has been doing for several years - or opt to be compensated by a debit card with a MasterCard logo." -- Guess now when recipients stroll up to the counter in a liquor store, they can pull out their MasterCard like it was their own charge account.

Even on Sundays if the new law passes... well I guess they could take their new Mastercard over to Phenix City as it stands. You know, the new Georgia Welfare MasterCard looks like there was more time spent designing it than my brokerage's FMA MasterCard.

---

You know, the state eliminating actual checks will probably put businesses who cashed checks for a fee out of business. Then those folks can get a Georgia MasterCard!

---

L-E story: "Chicago - With two months left in 2012, Chicago has surpassed the number of homicides it had for all of last year." -- Hmmm... the reason's rather obvious... it's an election year and this is just another Chicago-styled DIM&DUMBERat voter registration campaign.

---

A L-E letter writer is a little upset at Mayor Obamalinson... too bad he doesn't keep up with the goings-on, or he could have suggested she leave town on the high speed rails she fervently wants.

---

L-E headline: "NYC Marathon not expected to be effected by superstorm" -- Well, obviously, not many marathoners are DIM&DUMBERats. Makes sense when you think about it.. hard work, sacrifice, stick-to-it attitude, and no government agency can offer to help.

---

Monday, October 29, 2012

WRBL3 story: "A federal appeals court will hear challenges to a Florida law requiring welfare applicants to pass a drug test. The ultimate outcome could affect similar efforts in other states. * The judge said the law may violate the Constitution's ban on unreasonable searches and seizures." -- What's unreasonable about finding out about whether a person is actively using drugs, or for that matter, whether a person is legally a citizen of the US and/or state where help is requested, when tax dollars are requested for sustenance and/or shelter. The government does not belong in the 'enabling' business for drug users.

---

Wouldn't it behoove GM or Ford to make one model of a full size sedan (parade float size of the 1960's) available with minimum to elegant trims? One with a cabin that will hold a bunch of big guys on a golf roadtrip?

---

After watching an excess of blown football calls, I'm beginning to believe the NFL should rehire the substitute reds, and save the money.

---

Could Benghazi-gate actually been a "wag the dog" planned "October Surprise" as we have often been exposed to by the DIM&DUMBERat National Committee? It may have been a planned 'kidnapping' (gone way bad) so potUS Oblunder could 'orchestrate' a retrieval just before the election and look like a hero?

---

From a fellow BCer.... just funny (and mind stimulating):

---

I got another desperate plea from Bleep-Veep Joe relating how Romney has $45 Million more dollars than the Dumbnamic Duo to spend in the few days. I e-mailed him back that that was good, as Romney still has some worthwhile words that people need to hear. Bet it ruined his breakfast.
---
Someone voting for potUS Oblunder in 2008 simply for hopeful or historical reasons is understandable; the same person voting for him again in 2012 is simply delusion and hysteria in action.
---
My pastor made a timely (and perfect for the circumstances) endorsement for this week's elections. Cast your ballot for Jesus.
---
What Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. basically said was that if you vote for or against a person based on the color of his skin rather that the content of person's character, then you are a racist. I agree. Know your candidates.
---
A Colorado woman who was selected as Democrat of the Year" for her voter registration efforts, was just arrested for stealing government checks from another, then cashing them for herself. Of course, in Democrat-ese, being guilty depends on how you define "is".
---
Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "American health care is the most expensive in the world. Last year, over 100,000 people, many from America, went to Argentina to take advantage of their (sic) government health care." -- Liberals just feel it's credible to just pull undocumented figures out a magic hat and use them as facts, and other liberals in the media feel it's fine to believe them and pass them along.
---
I am definitely one who thinks it's not only fine to do so, but necessary to speak out when government abuses the citizens, whether locally or nationally, but I do not see what "self immolation" (setting oneself on fire to make a political statement) by Tibetan monks will accomplish with the Chinese government. Reminds me of the fellow who found his wife in bed with another man. He puts the gun to his head, then hears his wife laughing at him, and he says, "What are you laughing about; you're next'.
---
Is this the 1948 again... you know, when some newspapers headlined a "Dewey Wins" headline only to have the final results give the election to Truman? The Giants won the World Series last night, but the L-E headline reads, "Major League Baseball World Series * Cabrera homer gives Tigers lead over SF". That was in the 3rd inning... the L-E goes to bed (and 'print') too early.

HuffPost "Black Voices" story: "WASHINGTON — Racial attitudes have not improved in the four years since the United States elected its first black president, an Associated Press poll finds, as a slight majority of Americans now express prejudice toward blacks whether they recognize those feelings or not. * In all, 51 percent of Americans now express explicit anti-black attitudes, compared with 48 percent in a similar 2008 survey." -- This is mainly about how throwing the race card of political correctness stops progress. What this "research" leaves out is that they didn't look at how blacks perceive whites. It's all a move to establish that if potUS Oblunderman loses, it's racism.... but, to the article's credit, another source was tapped disproving the main point of the main article: "Andra Gillespie, an Emory University political scientist who studies race-neutrality among black politicians, contrasted the situation to that faced by the first black mayors elected in major U.S. cities, the closest parallel to Obama's first-black situation. Those mayors, she said, typically won about 20 percent of the white vote in their first races, but when seeking reelection they enjoyed greater white support presumably because "the whites who stayed in the cities ... became more comfortable with a black executive."

---

Can you imagine Alabama players having tattoos when Bear Bryant was coaching?

---

Listening to liberals discuss politics is inane. Ask them why they will vote for the Dumbnamic Duo, again, and all you will get is a tirade of anti-Romney talking points. Even if you ask them for one reason that they find appealing for the Dumbnamic Duo, and it's basically, "They aren't Romney/Ryan." And it's the same if you watch liberal TV talk shows.

---

Romney should end the campaign week by showing Oblunderman and Bleep-VeeP Joe's "f & s-word" video clips, and promise not to embarrass the US to the rest of the world while talking with their leaders.

---

Chris Matthews...the guy who's tingle running up his leg that's turned into a tinkle running down it... is throwing out the race card as to why Romney's support is growing. The only presidential candidate who has encouraged racial division within his base is potUS Oblunderman who has a website for "African-Americans for Obama". On another page, neither candidate has a "White-Americans for" one or the other.
---
I unequivocally support John Darr for re-election. I did not vote for him in 2008, but have been impressed with the programs enacted, especially within the jail system, in the last 4 years. Party lines should not be an issue in areas of public safety and security.
---
While I'm at it, I'm decidedly for the State Amendment allowing a new course for Charter Schools, and against Sunday packaged alcohol sales. I'm for allowing a new course for a sitting Mayor fire existing personnel, and decidedly against former mayors/Councilpersons getting any city compensated job during their first year out of office, and am really PO'd that we are even voting on an issue that would allow a city employee to seek election for a political office in another county/state! If someone is working for us, he/she has no business in having another job that would take away from the effort made on the job our tax dollars are paying for! I'd really support a law that requires all City employees to reside in Columbus/Muscogee County so they have
skin-in-the-game!
Yesterday, there was a walk for Alzheimer's, and a Paws Parade... both well attended. By accident, my bride and I were still downtown following a visit to Christmas in the South, when another parade just appeared out of nowhere. It wasn't very big or well attended though the participants were enthusiastic for their cause which seemed to be Cancer related, probably in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Media.. how about a "heads up" on such.
---
There's one thing definitively wrong with the L-E 'make a costume out of newspaper'... who can afford to do so? With so few pages in each edition, you'd pay a fortune just to get enough material to make one, and Party City and K-mart are selling ready-made ones for less.
---
Oh, that was a vampire's cape Chitwood wore? I thought it looked more like "The Homeless Creature under the Dillingham Street Bridge".
---
As evidenced by the foul language used by the Dumbnamic Duo and their Hollywood supporters, we definitely need more teachers, but not necessarily math and science ones. I think the most urgent need is for teachers trained in proper grammar and language arts.
---
Federal and state funded projects need a new format... Right now, specs are put out and companies are asked to bid on doing the work. Bids reflect whether or not companies are really interested in actually landing the lob. Instead, such projects should be costed out, then advertised on a basis that this is what the project entails, these are the requirements and responsibilities, and this is what will be paid for a properly completed job... take it or leave it. Yeah!
---
What an enigma day for Bulldog fans... UGA looked horrible on offense, but Jarvis Jones established his legacy for a future jersey retirement day, while MSU showed they could both move the ball on and stop the offense of the best team in America, college or professional.

Online story: "President Obama said Friday he was "not personally aware" of any request for more security by U.S. diplomats in Libya before the Sept. 11 strike on the consulate." -- The classic 21st Century Bill Clinton plausible denial defense... "I did not have sex with that woman...Miss Lewinsky" and but it depends on how you define "personally"

---

Schick Hydro 5 update: Cartridge # 3 for 2012 was retired after yesterday's shave, and I'll start on # 4 today. Blade expense of the year will be about $16.00. Over 52 weeks that's about 31 cents a week or less than 5 cents a day. Even the old Bic disposables cost about 10 cents a day.
---

Online headline: "Panetta: US Didn't Have Enough Info" -- Until this, Panetta, and Gen. Patraeus seemed to weather any situation without damage. Two more good men are potUS Oblunderman's disposable pawns.

---

Online headline: "Harry Reid Hospitalized After Crash In Las Vegas" -- Oooops, my bad. Thought maybe a poll scam revealed that Romney has been ahead all this time.

---

Reports say Harry Reid is fine after his group's mass collision accident as are the other members of his 6 car entourage, but why does it take 4 police cars to escort Reid around his home town? My guess is despotic arrogance.

---
WRBL3 story: "On Tuesday, 76-year-old Willie Tate said he waited in line at the Columbus Public Library for more than an hour to vote; only to discover his vote had already been cast; four days earlier on October 19th. October 19th is the same day Tate was discharged from a Columbus hospital. * Tate said whoever voted on the 19th, forged his signature and presented a false id. * "Anybody who looked at it could tell that it didn't match the signature on his driver’s license," said Tate" -- looks like the Board of Elections should probably check every ballot approved by the poll workers that day or even for every day of early voting.

---

Why hasn't AG Eric Holder sued the major airlines for requiring passengers to provide photo IDs to board a plane?
---

I watched some of the Chris Matthews, and The ED Show last night. I take back my wanting Fox News to eliminate Juan Williams, Alan Colmes, and Bob Beckel from air time. After listening to the 2 liberals shows without any contradictive comments, I missed hearing how stupid liberals sound when trying to justify themselves in a two-way discussion.

---

Latest from barackobama.com: "We just found out that Mitt Romney and the Republicans outraised us in the first half of this month, putting us $45 million behind during these crucial final days." -- Oh! Guess the people have voted for the debate winner!

---

What's wrong with Brad Pitts? He's got Angelina Jolie waiting for him at home, and he's out telling the world that the reason he does is that he remembers her only because of the perfume she wears?

---

The media covered Cindy Shehan nearly everyday when she camped outside POTUS Bush43's Crawford, TX home because her son died over WMDs that weren't found in Iraq. Where are the media writing about the unjust deaths of former SEALs Woods and Doherty, and the angst their families are being put through? potUS Oblunderman AND Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied to the men's families, and the media is yawning.

Friday, October 26, 2012

The DIM&DUMBERats continuously dig at Romney's past trying to make him look bad. That's a shame... wouldn't their energy be better spent trying to dig up something good potUS Oblunderman has done in his past? Well, maybe not... it's probably easier to look for dirt on Romney than accomplishments of Oblunderman.

---

Online headline: "Colin Powell Makes Presidential Endorsement" -- I understand Powell's 2008 endorsement of Oblunderman; it was historic for him to vote for a black candidate. I don't understand why he would endorse him the second time as it makes his first endorsement totally racial.

---

Online story: "Patrick Moran, son of U.S. Rep. Jim Moran, resigned from father's reelection campaign Wednesday. Police began a criminal investigation of Patrick Moran on Thursday. * Following the release of a video this week that shows Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Moran's son, Patrick, apparently talking about ways to skirt voter identification laws, the Arlington County Police Department has opened a criminal investigation into the matter" -- You know, if Moran had been a Republican, the (R) would have been by his name in the first sentence and headline. The tactics discussed on ways to conjure up voter names/false ID's would be about moot if photo ID's were required.

---

WRBL3 headline: "Chizik Thanks Fans for Support" -- All 3 of them?

---

WRBL3 story: " BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Police say they arrested four former LSU football players, including one-time Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu, after finding them with marijuana at Mathieu's apartment. * Police say they were called to the apartment complex after receiving a complaint about a man forcing his way through the security gate before going to Mathieu's apartment. * Mathieu is a cornerback known as the "Honey Badger." He had been dismissed from the Tigers in August for failing a drug test." -- Hmmm, it must be nice that a jobless ex-college student can afford living in a gated apartment complex.

---

Guess potUS Oblunderman skipped throwing out a " First Pitch"in San Francisco. He would be a natural out there with the weak wristed effort he demonstrated in previous throws. Then again, he's pretty sure he has that group wrapped up.
---

potUS Oblunderman is the only person I know of that uses the same motion to throw a baseball as he does to shoot a free throw.
---

Morgan Freeman does a potUS Oblunderman commercial voice over, and quite well. One thing he infers is that few presidents have faced the challenges Oblunderman has had. True, at least partially, but what he doesn't say is that Oblunderman has not addressed, much less solved, them, and that he's going to be leaving worse challenges when he's gone.

---

From a fellow BCer:

---

Elbow armor for baseball hitters should be outlawed. It allows the batter to hang in and let the ball hit the armor, and get a free pass to first base. Well, at a minimum, the ump should just call it a ball or strike depending on location.
---

It's embarrassing to even think the Dumbnamic Duo, potUS Oblunderman and Robinette, would use the language they use here with leaders of other countries. Hurry, November 6th!

---

The more I think about it, potUS Oblunderman finds time to book shows like "Pimp with a limp, Yo, Las Vegas, Letterman, and now Rolling Stone magazine. What he didn't do was take responsibility for his lack of action in saving Americans under assault in Benghazi.

---

Those Vonnage commercials.. you know the ones that say calling other countries is free. I wonder if the people in those countries have to pay for calls from Vonnage customers?

---

potUS Oblunderman set a new low in campaigning today, referring to Romney as a "bullsh*tter" in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. While it wasn't another "F-bomb" we've come to expect, it does point out the need for more teachers. Not math or science ones, but some qualified and proper English grammar teachers.

---

BFDs, WTFs, F-bombs, and now BS. Can you imagine going to a job interview and talking this way to the interviewer who you want to hire you? Well, potUS Oblunderman wants us to hire him.

---

Brad Pitts as spokesperson for Chanel # 5 certainly has influenced my shopping list for Christmas, and saved me a lot of money. I definitely don't want Pitts stalking my wife or daughters.

---

Just once in this election, I'd like to see Romney hold up a handful of "canceled" tax checks, and say, "Oblunderman, here are my tax checks for millions of dollars; show me what good you did with it!"

---

From a fellow BCer:

---

Latest from barackobama.com: "Hal -- This afternoon, I'm casting my ballot in my hometown of Chicago. I'm told I'll be the first sitting president to take advantage of early voting." -- Well, maybe the first living president to vote in Chicago, but probably not the first one to vote in most of Chicago's elections.

---

L-E picture of potUS Oblunderman voting in Chicago:

--

Pop test! What's missing from this picture? Give up? His TelePrompters!

---

It's not coincidence, but did you notice that all the cities/areas in Sanford Bishop's Congressional District 2 have the area's highest unemployment figures. How can the man run an ad talking as though he's created and funded more jobs than there are people in his district?

---

Hope the city employees decorated the Superior Court Clerk's Office on their own time and dime....

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Online story - as anticipated.. "the Donald's" big announcement: "
I want to see 's college records to see how he listed his place of birth in the application." -- "the Donald" offered $5,000,000.00 to the charity of potUS Oblunderman's choice if the records were produced by Halloween. That's not going to happen, so 'the Donald's" pledge is somewhat hollow, but if :the Donald" made a serious offer.. like, say, a promise to shave his head of that ghastly hair of his, the media might have put pressure on Oblunderman to participate.
---
Online story: "SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The White House says Vice President Joe Biden will attend a South Dakota prayer service for former U.S. Sen. George McGovern on Thursday." -- Don't you know potUS Oblunderman wishes the funeral was in Timbuktu, and the only way to get there was by "a slow boat to China" that would get back here until November 7th?
---
WTVM9 story: "Metro Atlanta jobless rate drops to 8.4%" -- Guess it's considered a job if you have been paid to vote for potUS Oblunderman....
---
A Northside student who posted racial comments/slurs on FaceBook has been kicked out of school; conversely, a Hardaway student who threatened his teacher's life got a short suspension, and then was put back in that teacher's class. Combined, these TWO contradictions in judgement/punishment equal ONE huge black-eye for the MCSD board.
---
The Chicago White Sox blew a 3 game lead to Detroit. Chicago's Oblunderman has blown his lead over the son of a Michigan Governor. Hmmm, life imitates art.
---
Hillary Clinton says intra-department e-mails are not always reliable so caution is taken at reacting.... huh? Clinton says she exercises caution on new info to verify it before she acts or passes it along. If she had ever stopped or amended one of her husband's political ads, or had exercised sound actions after verifying Bill's lies about Monica, maybe we could believe her a little bit.
---
One excuse potUS Oblunderman's spinmeisters are trying to float is that immediate response could not happen until the Libyan government gave the US flyover permission. BS to the max! We don't need to wait on any government's approval to protect American lives!
---
Still haven't see a response/ challenge to Sanford Bishop's outrageous claim of creating 100,000 jobs at Ft Benning.
---
DeVry Tech claims it can train you for the 20,000,000 jobs out there waiting for you. Hmmm, how come no colleges are having any luck getting their graduates jobs when they get their degrees?
---
potUS Oblunderman is out speechifying to his base, that "you know me, you can trust me". Why is it necessary to convince his 'choir' they can, and should trust him?
---
Benghazi-gate. If Nixon was in office, don't you think Woodward and Bernstein would be writing a new investigative novel, and Michael Moore would already have a movie in the theaters?
---
Romney could run a very effective ad by showing potUS Oblunderman criticizing Romney by simply editing potUS' words and putting Oblunderman's name in the places Oblunderman mentioned Romney's name.
---
You know, if potUS Oblunderman had addressed the important issues of jobs, taxes, and immigration with the ardor of his golf game, he wouldn't need to be out looking for votes, and could be in Washington taking care of the nation's business.
---
It's an absolute disgrace for potUS Oblunderman's spinmeisters to be out trying to poo-poo the e-mails received in live-time the day the Benghazi ambassador et al were murdered by terrorists. Spinmeisters flashing teeth and Cheshire cat smiles are not an acceptable response.
---
Hillary Clinton's first bland response to the revealing of the e-mail to her office concerning the Benghazi terrorist attack confirms her abandonment of potUS Oblunderman, and her continued desire to be the 2016 primaries.
---
I've always taught my children to ask questions when they don't understand what was said. Often, I add that there aren't any stupid questions, only stupid responses. potUS Oblunderman's response on the relevance of the U.S. Navy was one of those stupid responses we usually accept about Bleep- VeeP Biden.
---
Listening to Hollywood endorsements and ad voice-overs brings us to one basic conclusion... actors will sell their soles to get a media backed role. What is it "they" say.... even bad exposure is good PR for an actor/actress. Guess they do anything to stay on Hollywood and White House A-lists for party invites.
---
Of note are the international endorsements potUS Oblunderman is receiving. Two of such are from Chavez and Putin. I guess neither one wants Oblunderman to lose, move to Venezuela/Russia, and run against them.
---
L-E story: "Charles Flowers, who was fired in February from his most recent head coaching job in Troup County High School after being accused of illegally recruiting student-athletes, filed a lawsuit against the Troup County School Districy on Fridaym alleging racial discrimination." -- If Flowers was 'wronged', then he should file a suit for the 'wrong' he was fired for committing. The fact that he chose to throw the race card first (at all for that matter), especially in these times, gives his anger very little credibility.
---
Picture in the L-E:
-- Salute? After 4 years you would think he would have learned how to salute; this looks more like a brush-off, don't-bother-me wave of his hand.

Online headline/story: "CNN Reports Women Voters Apparently Incapable Of Cognition * 'Sup, girl. You feelin' sexy today? Do you feel like your womb is a verdant, flowering pasture of fertility? Are all those fuzzy little chemicals burning around your brainpan sending you free and easy vibes today? Or do you feel as if your maidenhead is a barren tundra upon which a seed can find no purchase? Answering these questions are going to determine how your pretty little brain is going to operate once you get into that voting booth on Election Day, according to cutting-edge CNN science. * UPDATE, 8:51 p.m.: And this post is no longer up at CNN. It has been replaced with this message:
A post previously published in this space regarding a study about how hormones may influence voting choices has been removed. After further review it was determined that some elements of the story did not meet the editorial standards of CNN.
---
Now, this is news... who knew CNN had any editorial standards?

HuffPost story via Reuters: "WASHINGTON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show. * The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks." -- "obtained form government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department"? There are other government sources getting direct information of covert government information? Gimmee a break! There's only a handful of people I can think of that fit the possibility: Bleep-VeeP Biden or the spouses of the potUS or Sec of State.

---

A HuffPost poll shows Washington, D.C. voters favor potUS Oblunderman by an 86& to 8% margin. This alone shows what the main problem is, and why people working for the government should not be allowed to vote in races that affect their job or salary.

---

Looking back at the 'instant replay' of some of potUS Oblunderman's debate tactics, it's pretty obvious that he had Bleep-VeeP Biden as a replacement for John Kerry as his debate coach.

---

potUS Oblunderman is out pushing clarification of his positions. Even published a new bookform version. Even the loyal mainstream media is faulting it as 'nothing new'.

One thing 'new' is that potUS Oblunderman vows to close the tax loophole/break for creating jobs overseas.... excuse me, Mr. potUS, but there is no such loophole/break as it stands. Perhaps if you read such laws before you signed them, YOU would be better off... I know America would be.

---

With live feed from a drone over Benghazi, who in the viewing room(s) actually made the decision NOT to send in help for the Americans in the Consulate? Not to take action, whether a passive or conscious choice, was a decision. Who made it!

---

Why are Republican spinmeisters pushing the death of Ambassador Stevens as the most tragic. To me, the loss of two well-trained, former SEALS as or more tragic.

---

I do wish Fox News would avoid bringing on Karl Robe, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Alan Colmes, Lindsey Graham, Ann Coulter, and David Axelrod more than one appearance once a week. None add anything but self-aggrandization to the discussions.

---

The way I see it is that anyone still undecided at this point will either vote for Romney or not vote at all.

---

There's a Word District Attorney Julia Slater would like to keep suppressed until after November 6th... Word, Nathan Word, that is. Check out a YouTube video as Word spreads the 'word'. If you can't find Nathan Words' video, e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

L-E story: "Washington-Cars that drive themselves may hold the potential to save thousands of lives, an Obama administration safety official said Tuesday, as the government prepares to launch a research initiative to determine the safety and reliability of automated driving technologies." -- Whoa! While making left turns may work for NASCAR, what if the government provided you a car that only makes 'left' turns? Government GPS could even make sure any registered conservative voters get lost on the way to the polls. Call your Congresspersons today, and tell'em to leave the automated driving to "Google".

---

Once again... How about "The Chuck E. Cheese Civic Center" as part of a truth in advertising campaign to let patrons know of what the fare and menu are at times... a bit cheesy.

Council wants an 'efficiency consultant'? Hmmm, the big question is what will Council do with the information that a consultant will give them that the rest of Columbus has been telling them for years...for free?

Based on his ads, Congressman Bishop's District 2 must have full employment and recruiting people to move there for available jobs that he's created and personally funded. Did you know he claims to have created 100,000 jobs at Ft Benning? He says he has, so it must be true....DOH! Why aren't Mayor Obamalinson and the Chamber and the local news media challenging such irresponsible claims?
---
Last night's debate, too, looked as though Romney was the president and potUS Oblunderman was the challenger.
---
No matter how potUS Oblunderman tries to convince voters about Romney's inexperience in foreign or domestic policy, the fact is that Romney has more experience coming into office than Oblunderman did 4 years ago.
---
potUS Oblunderman and his supporters went to bed last night thinking they put some claims over on the American voters, but the Fact-Checkers burst that balloon early this morning.
---
potUS Oblunderman basically lost the debate by not demonstrating he knows more than Romney.
---
potUS Oblunderman started his summation with a 'funny' comment. The audience remembered to maintain its decorum, but the moderator, Bob Schieffer showed his bias with his solo (and weird) tittering.
---
When was the last time potUS Oblunderman went to a Marine training base and saw how many bayonets they use, and how well they use them?
---
Romney's summation ate potUS Oblunderman's lunch.
---
potUS Oblunderman mentioned there was something he saw clearly ... unfortunately, he didn't mention exactly what that was.
---
Schieffer showed his bias by simply avoiding any questions concerning the immigration problem through Mexico.
---
Bob Schieffer called the dead terrorist in Pakistan Obama bin Laden..
---
Romney mentioned Pakistan has 100 nuclear bombs/warheads. Hmmm, wonder how many they would have had we cut off the billions in foreign aid for the past 4 years.
---
Well, well, well.. for the first time I can remember, potUS Oblunderman credited "we" when he mentioned the death of Osama bin Laden.
---
Just looking at Romney and potUS Oblunderman side by side, it's more than apparent that Romney has more brain capacity.
---
potUS Oblunderman kept referring to "his budget". What budget? Dingy Harry Reid hasn't produced a budget in 3 years. potUS & Reid have operated the country simply by raising the debt limit and just spending our children's future.
---
potUS Oblunderman claims the world thinks the USA is stronger now than 4 years ago. Countries may think America has more "B.O." smell now, but most countries fear that only when standing down wind.
---
David Axelrod, potUS Oblunderman's chief political spinmeister, is out telling whoever is listening that he knows all the facts and details of Benghazi, and he speaks for potUS 'O". Wait a minute... Axelrod is not a government employee, not even a potUS "O'' appointee, so why does he have access to "top secret" documentation? That has to be considered a White House leak.
---
You know, the powers that be may be able to strip Lance Armstrong of his 7 Championship Medals and records, but they cannot erase the soon to be appearing asterisks by the new designated champions' names.
---
Right before Pat Robertson's show starts, ABC Family runs this disclaimer, ABC Family does not approve the views of the following show. How sad.. it's the only show on ABC Family that is family oriented.

Who'da thought it.... the winner of The Mississippi State-Bama game has the control of the SEC's Western Division slot in the Championship game. Same goes for the GA-FLA game as well.

"The Donald"says he has a huge announcement he's going to make via "Twitter" on Wednesday. Huh? How can you make. "huge" announcement in 140 maximum spaces?

From an online story (and heads up from a fellow BCer): "U.N. Officials to Monitor American Elections * That's right, the U.N. group that's charged with ensuring elections occur properly in third-world nations will be spending time in America." -- Way to go, potUS Oblunderman, after your 4 years in office, even yje UN thinks of the USA as a third-world country... some respect you've built. Of course, if the UN studied Detroit and Chicago, they have good reason to think this.
---
Carroll Lisby... a truly sincere and devoted journalist who used 'is it true', 'is it fair', and 'is it well documented' as his guidelines. I can't say that about his son Greg in a book he wrote.

L-E story: "More than 10,570 Columbus residents so far have cast ballots early for the Nov. 6 general election, the Muscogee County Board of Elections and Registrations announced Monday as another week of early voting began." -- Hmmm, it looks like voting on November 6th may be the best way to avoid long lines at the polls.

There's a local company advertising free tickets to the Master's Cup in Augusta. What is the "Master's Cup"? The closest event I could find 'googling' was a frisbee disk golf tournament.

The L-E "Foreclosure Section" moves along at near record length...just in time for the election.

Online story: "Edith Windsor is an 83-year-old widow who lost her wife in 2009 and was subsequently stuck with more than $363,000 in estate taxes -- money she would not have had to pay if she were in a heterosexual marriage. " -- Hold on for a sec... The real issue here is not about homosexuality, but about the 'death tax' structure, and government greed for absconding with people's life savings when they're dead and cannot speak up for themselves. Having a $363,000.000 'estate tax' means there was a healthy 'estate' when she died, and the IRS code must have treated her as a single person, no next of kin, and probably without a will, so the government just wants as much of it can get.

---

The Jesse Jacksons, the Jeremy Wrights, the Al Sharptons, the Barack Obamas, and most liberals of the US must really feel they are failures in life. All their energy and hatred expended for racist issues, and none of them feel/think anything has improved or been accomplished since the 1950's. That's really sad when you think about it.

---

Don't wait for potUS Oblunderman to label terrorist attacks for what they are. potUS Oblunderman still hasn't called the Texas attack by the Muslim officer on fellow military personnel an act of Islamic terrorism.
---

From the "it's not one world" department: The family of an Afghani military man was slaughtered by the Taliban because he refused to join the Taliban cause.
---

A Sunday morning commentator made a valid observation concerning the Libyan assault and murder of 4 Americans on 9-11-12. He asked whether the State Department held back from dispersing the terrorists from above because the State Department considered the 4 Americans killed as "dispensable". There was even a drone above the site for 6 hours sending live video to Washington, and no military intervention.

Online story: "MIAMI -- A federal judge on Saturday granted a stay of execution for a convicted mass killer in Florida, who is mentally ill and was scheduled to be put to death on Tuesday. * U.S. District Judge Daniel T. K. Hurley granted the motion for a stay in the case of John Errol Ferguson, who was to be executed Tuesday after 34 years on Florida's death row. * "In order for the state to execute him, Mr. Ferguson must have a rational understanding of the reason for, and effect of, his execution," said Chris Handman, an attorney for Ferguson, in an emailed statement" -- The killer has 'dodged a bullet' for 34 years, what's rational about that for the families of the victims and the taxpayers footing Ferguson and his lawyers bills? How do judges rationalize that?

---

Online story: "WASHINGTON -- Former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan is warning that military intervention in Syria by the major powers won't work. * In comments to be aired Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Annan says the situation in Syria is more complex than in Libya, and that military intervention could make things worse. * Annan was the special envoy to Syria until August, when he resigned after his peace plan failed." -- Kofi Annan's ideas and inactions don't work, didn't work, so now he's an expert at what will and won't work? Gimmee a break!

---

The latest from barackobama.com: Not only does potUS Oblunderman keep breaking his promise of last week that he already has sent his last e-mail, now he's having a sale on all his campaign paraphernalia. Guess you could call it a 'going out of business sale'.

---

What a humbling day for Auburn. Losing to 7-point favorite Vanderbilt by 4, but it wasn't an upset, so AU won with the points.

---

From the 'another one bites the dust' department: Another green energy company, LG Chem in Michigan, given an Oblunderman $150,000,000.00 loan to produce batteries for the "VOLT' has produced none, and employees are sitting around the factory playing games until the money runs out and the company goes bankrupt. If the 'stim-YOU-LIE" loans were an 'investment of taxpayuer dollars', why hasn't potUS Oblunderman stepped in and shut the place down and retrieved what's left of 'our' investment?

---

After reading up on the current plight of Detroit with its white flight, 50% population drop, 28% unemployment status, high influx of Mexican and Muslims, I finally understand the Chrysler ad byline, " Imported from Detroit".
---

We're consuming ourselves. Of the $16 trillion in national debt, we, led by the Social Security 'fund' US Treasury bonds, own $12 trillion of that debt. Hey, why don't we seniors file a law suit to collect the funds Congress owes us!

---

One of potUS Oblunderman's spinmeisters was equating Iowa's high corporate tax rate and low unemployment numbers as proof potUS Oblunderman's economic strategy is working. Of course, the fact enough people left Iowa looking for work elsewhere that Iowa lost a Congressional District lowers the out-of-job percentage.

---

Passed on by a fellow BCer: "I love Christmas lights. They remind me of the people who voted for Obama. They all hang together; half of them don't work, and the ones that do, aren't all that bright." -- Hopefully, after November 6th, we will have TWO reasons to say, "Merry Christmas".

---

From the 'another legal system black-eye' department: "Macon -- A Macon judge who registered over the limit for alcohol during a roadside breath test will not face criminal charges. * Bibb County sheriff's deputies allowed Superior Court Judge Howard Simms to drive home September 22 after a breath test showed he was just over the legal limit. * The Telegraph of Macon reports that police didn't write a report or perform additional tests. * Bibb County Solicitor Otis Scarbary said he met wuth police to discuss the case. But he said there are no reports or statements. Sheriff Jerry Modena said additional reports and tests might have helped build a case. * Two deputies were reprimanded and suspended after the incident." -- "additional reports and tests MIGHThave helped build a case"? Wonder what 'plum duties'the to slapped-on-the-wrist deputies will receive in the future as payback?

---

Karl Douglass makes a point today, but I'm not sure he understands his own ramifications. He writes: "For our community to begin wrestling with the very real challenges that face us collectively, we need to move past simple information-gathering and focus on developing knowledge that is based on fact. Until we do, we will continue to argue loudly across the breach and never do what is necessary to build a bridge. Without a bridge, neither side can help the other no matter from which direction the enemy ultimately comes." -- No bridge will connect us or allow us to cross as long as the building blocks of that bridge are built of racial trump cards. Is even Karl Douglass replacing such 'cards' with rock rather than sand?

To remind us, Walt Kelly summed it up succinctly: "We have met the enemy, and he is us."

Hmmm, since most athletic programs are separate from the educational aspect of major football universities, why are donations that go directly to the athletic program to gain favorable season ticket allotment tax deductable?

Michelle Obama Answers Boxers vs. Briefs Question On 'LIVE! with Kelly and Michael' -- Didn't read to find out her answer, but I'd have guessed 'panties' because he's too apologetic to be a boxer, and too longwinded to be brief.

---

Online Libya latest: "WASHINGTON (AP) — The CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington within 24 hours of last month's deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate that there was evidence it was carried out by militants, not a spontaneous mob upset about an American-made video ridiculing Islam's Prophet Muhammad, U.S. officials have told The Associated Press." -- Maybe Monday's debate should feature Romney vs an empty golf cart.

---

CIA failure?..State Department failure? potUS Oblunderman can try to find a whipping boy, but the worst 'crime' was his cover-up attempt at blaming some obscure video as the accelerant for an act of terror.

---

Obviously, potUS Oblunderman did not call for an intelligence briefing following the Libyan assault. No, he hopped a jet to Las Vegas after he decided that since no one is more intelligent than himself, why should he meet with them. On the other hand, there are people more wealthy than himself to meet with.

---

The latest from barackobama.com: " Hal, get your friends in North Carolina to vote early" -- Well, not only did potUS Oblunderman promise two days ago that I wouldn't be hearing from him anymore. Now he wants me to get my friends in NC to vote early. OH, all you North Carolinian friends of mine, 'vote early' for Romney. Of course, even if all potUS Oblunderman's followers did 'vote early', it won't be enough to re-elect him.

---

Of course, Billy Graham is also asking voters to vote for their values. Graham is someone I can listen to.

---

When potUS Oblunderman 'joked' at the Al Smith Banquet that he wished he could use his middle name, Hussein, like Romney does his, Mitt, he probably wasn't joking.

---

potUS Oblunderman seems to be amused with himself cleverly labeling his opponent with having a case of "romnesia'. That's rich considering what an "obama-nation" his 4 years have been for America.

---

Looking back at the second debate, noting the obvious statement that the candidates were not made aware of the questions beforehand, wasn't it strange that Candy Crowley happened to have the transcript of potUS Oblunderman's Rose Garden speech at her fingertips?

---

Will it never end? Now even Tom Hanks has dropped the 'f-bomb' on live national TV. When you think about it, all the Hollywooders seem to have the 'f-bomb' on the tip of their tongues when they endorse potUS Oblunderman. Guess thay agree, it is a "BFD".

---

Have you noticed how similar the logos for potUS Oblunderman, Pepsi , and Korean Air are? Pepsi and Korean Air are probably regretting their copycat graphics department as potUS Oblunderman's version seems to be going down in smoke.

---

I've always hated the original "FDS' (FEM. DEOD. SPRAY) TV ads, especially since they paved the way for "ED", " Viagra, Cialis, and now the "mesh-sling" ads.
---

From barackobama.com:

Caught in a moment of truth, potUS Oblunderman's 'mighty left" hand attempts to back the white guy against the wall.

---

More from barackobama.com: "Hal - Students like you can decide this election -- period.
* But you've got to take the first step and get involved. * That's why I'm inviting you to join Campus Callers, a special group of students across the country making calls on behalf of the President." -- Last week potUS Oblunderman appealed to my 'senior status'. I guess when that didn't work, he figured I must be a student, so he hopes I'll take out another student loan and send it to him.

---

The Charter Review amendments on the ballot... I'm OK with the first five, but plan the vote "NO" on the second one, but I am vehemently opposed to the 6th one. Who is so important on the City's employment list, that he/she would be involved in the elected responsibility of another county/ town/state while performing his/her job here in Columbus? The amendment most needed is one requiring all city employees live in Columbus/Muscogee County so they have 'skin-in-the-game'.

---

From the "while they are at it" department: Council wants to sell 'naming rights' at the Civic Center; how about naming the satellite ice rink "The Buck Ice and COLD Rink"?

---

The real need in a new school superintendent is a person not ending his/her career here in 3 or 4 years. How about finding someone in his/her early forties who can be here long enough for his/her ideas/programs to come to fruition.

---

Lawyers representing terrorists imprisoned at Guantanamo must be from LaLaLand. They seem to think those terrorists have the same rights as US citizens to be considered 'innocent until proven guilty". BS! These animals are not entitled to the rights guaranteed by our Constitution. Let stand up under the rights they would have in theior own countries!

---

potUS Oblunderman, tell the Detroit Tiger fans that "Jim Leyland didn't build that"!

---

Friday, October 19, 2012

The Columbus Civic Center is looking for a "naming rights partner". I know there will be the usual local suspects, but a sleeper could be Chuck E Cheese. It would certainly fit in with the food and venue offerings which are a bit too cheesy.

There was an unexpected "debate" last night at the Al Smith Catholic Charities Find Raiser in NYC. Romney kicked Oblunderbutt
---

Rumor has it that O J Simpson is trying to sell the knife he used to kill Moviles & Ron. Maybe the NFL will offer to pay off the civil suit if O J will bury the knife up his....

---

The debates have been effective for Romney because America has missed having a real stand-up-for-me, God, what's right, and my country presidential choice.
---

From a fellow BCer...sums it up succinctly:

---

Online headline/story: "Government Welfare Payments Top $1 Trillion for the First Time * Putting it all together, federal spending on welfare greatly exceeded spending on the military ($540 billion), Social Security ($725 billion), Medicare ($480 billion) as well as the Departments of Justice ($31 billion), Transportation ($77 billion) and Education ($65 billion)." -- We need a safety net, BUT not one with the power to drown those trying to provide such.

---

Bleep-VeeP Joe is blasting Romney's tax plan saying we shouldn't believe him because he's not going to explain it until after he'd elected. Hmmm, short memory Joe.. not too long ago you pushed HELL-thSCARE through the Senate without wanting anyone reading it.

---

From a fellow BCer, a message to pass along to everyone. Copy and paste to your search engine:

---

There was a time Auburn would have welcomed having the 'Dawgs at home two years in a row for alumni bragging rights. 2012-2013 is not one of those times.

---

Once again the Columbus L-E does a disservice to its subscribers. Another Judy F. Brouillette spew of misinformation is in today's L-E, again without the * showing her connection as the treasurer of the local DIM&DUMBERat Party. Mitt Romney being better prepared and more effective is really not considered being "underhanded" outside of "JudyWorld".

---

L-E story on the Lakebottom 'roundish-about': "Crosswalks will be marked at each of the four points of intersection to guide pedestrians away from the center of the intersection.." -- Since vehicles are not supposed to stop as they maneuver the 'roundish-about', I guess trying to cross by foot at any point will be akin to a video game of "Frogger".

---

As it appears in many descriptions of suspects in various shootings and drug stories in gthe L-E, how about the L-E giving us a visual on what a 'low' and "low fade" hair cut looks like so we may be able to recognize an at-large suspect.

---

L-E headlinestory: "Newsweek to cease publishing print magazine * After 80 years of publication, the news magazine will shift to a digital only format, available online and on tabley computers " -- Hmmm, guess we'll start seeing obsolete iPads scattered around doctors' offices.

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Online story: "Cellphone footage obtained exclusively by ABC appears to show a group of drunken, stoned U.S. security contractors in the Afghan capital of Kabul. * ABC reports that Jorge Scientific had won a $47 million U.S. government contract to train Afghan police." -- Sounds more like the stoned, drunken folks who hired them committed the worse act.

---

Can't you see the book potUS Oblunderman, Reid, Pelosi, and the Clintons would write if they win in November... I hear their working title is, "It took a Pillage".

---

The latest from barackobama.com October 17th: "Hal -- This is the last time we'll do this.

The latest from barackobama.com October 18th: Hal -- Today is the last FEC fundraising deadline of this campaign, and there's never been a more important time to donate. -- potUS Oblunderman can't even keep a promise for 24 hours.

---

Oh! I received a "Barack Obama 2012" bumpersticker in the mail yesterday. The bumpersticker wasn't of good quality (natch) but the most telling aspect was a tiny logo showing it was "union made - local 820 (wherever that is)". No wonder small businesses are getting the shaft from potUS Oblunderman's administration... can you imagine a local printer here being a union shop?

---

Thinking about the newly established Bill & Sue Marie Turner Servant Leadership Award; it's sure going to be hard to find anyone, much less a couple, which can match up to the standard the Turners have established.

---

Guess the NFL substitute referees have found new jobs as Major Baseball umpires and Debate Moderators.

---

From a fellow BCer:

Clint is scheduling another debate which he will be the moderator

---

I am astounded at the number of traceable "tweets" sent during and after Tuesdays debate expressing Oblunderman supporters desires to assassinate Romney. Had that many Romney supporters expressed the same intent concerning potUS Oblunderman, mainstream media would be outraged, and the FBI would be tracking them all down.

---

Have you noticed that even the most dedicated potUS Oblunderman supporters are angry at him?

---

Nike dumped Lance Armstrong yesterday. Guess Nike didn't want to be associated with a guy riding a bike-ee.
---

An incumbent president should be able to walk onto the stage and command respect. That is not the case with potUS Oblunderman; he walks onto the stage while his spinmeisters demand we respect him.

---

You would think that liberals would be proud of potUS Oblunderman, but they aren't. Rather than support him, they attack his Romney, then pat themselves rather than the Dumbnamic Duo on the back in sympathy.

---

56% of undecideds polled following the debate said potUS Oblunderman would do a better job on women's and middle class issues; 65% of those said Romney would do a better job on economic issues. Excuse me , but improvements in women's and middle class issues hinge entirely on the economy.

---

All of a sudden it's my fault... ? barackobama.com thinks that he'll have a chance if I donate to potUS Oblunderman. I'll take the responsibility of my decision if he loses.

---

Saw this yesterday as I went through the GA Power drop off lane:

Why would two Harris County Sheriff vehicles be parked in the workers here in Columbus?

---

Saw this billboard yesterday, too:

Looks like a billboard picture from Mayor Obamalinson's campaign that has the DA's face 'photoshopped" on.... maybe Slatomlinson?

---

Shelnutt last week, Gentry on Tuesday, Vogt today... maybe we'll get an update on Eddings Saturday.

---

Why is Roy Bourgeois claiming to be from Columbus? Did he get here and just stayed because there wasn't any other place that want him?

---

The argument presented against the Charter School Amendment (#1) by the MCSD board chair is that she claims other people want "unfettered access" to tax dollars. What a hollow response. It's the MCSD that already HAS "unfettered access" to those tax dollars but doesn't allow parents to make choices for their students. Vote "YES" on Amendment 1... if nothing else, it will make the MCSD shape up.

From the 'another one bites the dust' department - Online story: "Electric car battery maker A123 filed for bankruptcy today, just a few hours after warning it was about to default on its loans, and will be taken over by auto supplier Johnson Controls. * As a recipient of $249 million in grants from the Obama administration, the company's bankruptcy will no doubt become another embarrassment heading into the November elections" -- Well, that $90 Billion in failed green energy loans that potUS Oblunderman saddled the taxpayers with is now $90.25 Billion, and still rising.

---

The basic aspect the Charter School Amendment is a modified voucher plan that helps parents break out of the limitations imposed by the MCSD. Vote Yes on 1.
---

Online headline: "New York's Trinity Church forced to cancel Halloween fest over Occupy Wall Street camp" -- Too scary for the children to see....and the squishes were not spaghetti and meatballs.

---

Millions of 'tweets' flooded the twitter world during the debate. One particularly hit a nerve: "I think the odds that Romney wins a debate twice in a row are as likely as an earthquake hitting Boston tonight." Well, an earthquake did hit Boston last night.

---

From the 'it's not one world' department - Online story: "BAMAKO, Mali -- A teenaged girl received 60 lashes in Timbuktu after Islamist extremists convicted her of speaking to men on the street. * The girl, about 15 years old, was allegedly caught standing alongside men by the Islamists of Ansar Dine who now run Timbuktu. * The public whipping took place at around 11 a.m. local time in front of the new headquarters of the Islamic police in downtown Timbuktu, next to Independence Square." -- In a word...sharia

---

potUS Oblunderman said he wants to get AK-47s off the streets, yet ''Fast 'n Furious" put them on the streets of Mexico which have been used against our border police.
---

If potUS Oblunderman had done, even started what he's now promising next term, he wouldn't be sweating re-election. Of course, he did prove in his term that he gets easily sidetracked.

---

potUS Oblunderman says making insurance companies pay for birth control will take that burden off families. Huh? If the insurance companies know they'll have a $100-$150 per month for contraceptives, the insurance companies will raise the monthly premium by $100-$150 per month whether you use/need contraceptives.

---

potUS Oblunderman said his administration was the most focused ever on being non-discriminatory, yet one of the first things he signed into law was a bill taxing whites who wanted indoor tans.
---

Remember when Clinton and the 92 DIM&DUMBERats promised tax cuts for the middle class, he came out 3 weeks after he took office, hat in hand, saying he had really tried to do it, but he was going to have to raise taxes instead. Only one of the candidates is a DIM&DUMBERat.

---

potUS Oblunderman accused Romney of promising tax rate cuts for all... sounds good to me.
---

I want to know how wind and solar energy is going to increase, uh, double, my SUV gas mileage that potUS Oblunderman says it will.
---

potUS Oblunderman told a college student that the car industry had surged back... Didn't the president's symbolic "The VOLT" have to shutdown in September?
---

Carnegie, Vanderbilt, Ford, Hughes, Edison, Rockefeller,JP Morgan, Mellon, et al... Wonder what their reactions would be if potUS Oblunderman told them, "you didn't build that"?

---

Can you imagine the "Industrial Revolution" happening if unions and OSHA and potUS Oblunderman had been there?

---

Online headline: "State Executes First Prisoner Since 2007" -- This is exactly why the death sentence is not as effective as it should be. Executions should be prompt, oftem, and public if the death penalty wants to be an effective deterrent.
---
While everyone really does empathize with the death of the young woman killed by the police vehicle this past weekend, what was the pedestrian's responsibility for crossing the street there, and what was her B.A.C.?
---
Some "debate professional" says Romney needs to show TV viewers that he empathizes with potUS Oblunderman (and his fiasco sidekick) . BS! Romney needs to empathize with the TV viewers' needs, not the Dumbnamic Duo.
---
Monday, my daughter and I observed a school bus speeding in one school zone, and Tuesday, we got passed by Police car in another one. How about you professionals setting better examples for my 15 year old student driver.

---

L-E story: "The rates of six of the seven most serious crimes are down over the first three quarters of the year, compared to a year-to-date average of the last six years." -- Averages are nice if you are an insurance actuary, but I would like a comparison against the most recent year to get an idea of the trends.
---

It's interesting how potUS Oblunderman will cherry pick jobs figures from the last two or so years without bringing up the job losses from his first two years. Overall job gain is about 200,000, and the bulk of those are government jobs that actually put a drain on economic recovery.

---

You know, in the debates, Romney looks/sounds more like the sitting president talking about his accomplishments and records, while potUS Oblunderman sounds/looks more like an unproven challenger with no accomplishments he wants to point to.

---
