HuffPost "Black Voices" story: "WASHINGTON — Racial attitudes have not improved in the four years since the United States elected its first black president, an Associated Press poll finds, as a slight majority of Americans now express prejudice toward blacks whether they recognize those feelings or not. * In all, 51 percent of Americans now express explicit anti-black attitudes, compared with 48 percent in a similar 2008 survey." -- This is mainly about how throwing the race card of political correctness stops progress. What this "research" leaves out is that they didn't look at how blacks perceive whites. It's all a move to establish that if potUS Oblunderman loses, it's racism.... but, to the article's credit, another source was tapped disproving the main point of the main article: "Andra Gillespie, an Emory University political scientist who studies race-neutrality among black politicians, contrasted the situation to that faced by the first black mayors elected in major U.S. cities, the closest parallel to Obama's first-black situation. Those mayors, she said, typically won about 20 percent of the white vote in their first races, but when seeking reelection they enjoyed greater white support presumably because "the whites who stayed in the cities ... became more comfortable with a black executive."

Can you imagine Alabama players having tattoos when Bear Bryant was coaching?

Listening to liberals discuss politics is inane. Ask them why they will vote for the Dumbnamic Duo, again, and all you will get is a tirade of anti-Romney talking points. Even if you ask them for one reason that they find appealing for the Dumbnamic Duo, and it's basically, "They aren't Romney/Ryan." And it's the same if you watch liberal TV talk shows.

Romney should end the campaign week by showing Oblunderman and Bleep-VeeP Joe's "f & s-word" video clips, and promise not to embarrass the US to the rest of the world while talking with their leaders.

---

Chris Matthews...the guy who's tingle running up his leg that's turned into a tinkle running down it... is throwing out the race card as to why Romney's support is growing. The only presidential candidate who has encouraged racial division within his base is potUS Oblunderman who has a website for "African-Americans for Obama". On another page, neither candidate has a "White-Americans for" one or the other.

I unequivocally support John Darr for re-election. I did not vote for him in 2008, but have been impressed with the programs enacted, especially within the jail system, in the last 4 years. Party lines should not be an issue in areas of public safety and security.

While I'm at it, I'm decidedly for the State Amendment allowing a new course for Charter Schools, and against Sunday packaged alcohol sales. I'm for allowing a new course for a sitting Mayor fire existing personnel, and decidedly against former mayors/Councilpersons getting any city compensated job during their first year out of office, and am really PO'd that we are even voting on an issue that would allow a city employee to seek election for a political office in another county/state! If someone is working for us, he/she has no business in having another job that would take away from the effort made on the job our tax dollars are paying for! I'd really support a law that requires all City employees to reside in Columbus/Muscogee County so they have
skin-in-the-game!
Yesterday, there was a walk for Alzheimer's, and a Paws Parade... both well attended. By accident, my bride and I were still downtown following a visit to Christmas in the South, when another parade just appeared out of nowhere. It wasn't very big or well attended though the participants were enthusiastic for their cause which seemed to be Cancer related, probably in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Media.. how about a "heads up" on such.

There's one thing definitively wrong with the L-E 'make a costume out of newspaper'... who can afford to do so? With so few pages in each edition, you'd pay a fortune just to get enough material to make one, and Party City and K-mart are selling ready-made ones for less.

Oh, that was a vampire's cape Chitwood wore? I thought it looked more like "The Homeless Creature under the Dillingham Street Bridge".

As evidenced by the foul language used by the Dumbnamic Duo and their Hollywood supporters, we definitely need more teachers, but not necessarily math and science ones. I think the most urgent need is for teachers trained in proper grammar and language arts.

Federal and state funded projects need a new format... Right now, specs are put out and companies are asked to bid on doing the work. Bids reflect whether or not companies are really interested in actually landing the lob. Instead, such projects should be costed out, then advertised on a basis that this is what the project entails, these are the requirements and responsibilities, and this is what will be paid for a properly completed job... take it or leave it. Yeah!

What an enigma day for Bulldog fans... UGA looked horrible on offense, but Jarvis Jones established his legacy for a future jersey retirement day, while MSU showed they could both move the ball on and stop the offense of the best team in America, college or professional.
