Let's face it... the FBI passed, the DOJ won't give it a second look, Wassernman Schultz's  Democrats "see  nothing", and the Republicans in Congress don't have the guts to keep Hillary out of the White House, so it's up to us.. Elect Trump, and he'll deal with the Clintons as part of his "Make America Great Again.. for Everyone".. well, except the Clintons.

---
You know...whether 100% justified..or not, no one other than the police officer(s) involved know...KNOW.. what was going on when the decision to shoot or not shoot happens. On the other hand, when someone intentionally takes vengeance on a police officer to fruition, then it's murder..murder in the 1st Degree, and no celebration or support should be tolerated.

---
President ZERO-bama feels.he can circumvent the growing anxieties between blacks and whites by trying to say the right things. Once again...he's wrong..it's about leadership..it's about DOING & STANDING UP for the right things.

Online story: "PHOENIX, July 11 (Reuters) - Police in Arizona may legally search an individual's home or vehicle based solely on the smell of marijuana, even though the drug is legal for medical use, the state Supreme Court ruled Monday. * In two unanimous opinions, the state's highest court said the smell of marijuana can be used as probable cause to obtain a search warrant despite the fact that Arizona allows its use for medical purposes." -- "despite the fact that Arizona allows its (marijuana) use for medical purposes"? Good grief,, what was the problem.. if it was being used for legal medical use, then the user should carry a prescription card and container with him/her, but why would why would anyone be using it or "medical purposes" while in a car?

One other thing.. even in an individual's home, there should be provision in the laws that the "patient" not use it anywhere but a room with a separate vent system and while alone.. we all know the effects of second hand smoke. Liberals have made that such a focus over the years.

---
From the "what's this BS?" department - Online story: "A GOP delegate has won his lawsuit challenging a Virginia law that would have forced him to vote for Donald Trump on the first ballot at the Republican National Convention next week. * A federal judge ruled Monday that the Virginia statute, which carries a sentence of up to 12 months of jail time or a $2,500 fine or both, "is an unconstitutional burden on his First Amendment rights of free political speech and political association." -- Good grief..what is a judge, especially a federal appointee judge,  doing making changes to the rules of order of a private organization. Primaries are private functions of the individual political parties.

---
What was Major League Baseball thinking...did you see the ugly brown/gold and gold/brown uniforms both leagues wore during the Home Run Derby last night? They would look ugly if it was for a softball event, but baseball is "America's pastime"..if there was ever a time MLB should have brought out Red, White, and Blue uniforms, it is this year.. let's hope..no, let's pray that these aren't the uniforms they are going to use for the All Star game.

Dallas has been a blessing, a fortuitous coincidence for Hillary's campaign..all of a sudden conversation about her scandal whitewash just disappeared off the front pages and network news shows. . Wait a minute..life experiences tell us there are no "coincidences".. whoa...I don't want to  think she had anything to do with Dallas, but she is a Clinton, and she feels entitled to be above the law.

---
It's more than interesting that ZERO-bama is bring up a National Police again....yes again. When he was campaigning in 2008, several times he mentioned that he wanted to create another well armed, non-military force of 250,000 members...and at this point, I have to think he wanted it segregated.

We just got back from Target and used its self-checkout station to make a cash purchase. I've used them often with debit cards but this time the total was under $20.00 so I stuck a $20,00 bill into the cash slot.. Presto.. got the correct change back (bills and coins) 100% accurately.. I see the future of $15.00 per hour minimum wage.. and it's not in minimum skill services.

Online story: "Over the past three decades, Georgia has increased its spending on prisons and jails at a faster pace than spending on schools, says a new report from the U.S. Department of Education. * (one of the solutions being implemented includes)  the establishment of charter schools in prisons," -- Hmmm.. another good reason to elect Shelia Williams and JoAnn Thomas-Brown.. We have to break the cycle of our students not being able to read well enough to pass tests..and it's going to take a school board that has leadership instead of being a "rubber stamp" for the School Superintendent. This will be a lot cheaper.. and many times better than trying to educate AFTER they get to jail.

---
Local issue: I knew and supported Lonnie Jackson and Lonnie's Summer Tutorial Program.for 15 years,, I was at the ceremony to rename the school for him.. Lonnie Jackson would not approve of what has happened to "his" school under 12 years of Pat Hugley Green.

Black Lives, White Lives, Blue Lives, Yellow Lives, Red Lives, American LIVES....they all MATTER...When any one group targets another, all bets are off at solving the future.

---
You know, if Black Lives Matter really wanted things to change for the better, they'd team up with police officers and  campaign on the streets to get civility back in their neighborhoods, not going after police officers.

L-E headline/story: "Man involved in murder asks judge to withdraw guilty plea * A Columbus man who was sentenced last month to 30 years in prison for his role in 2012 homicide, was back in Superior Court Monday morning asking a judge if he could withdraw the guilty plea. * D******** O****** S****, 24, entered a guilty plea earlier this year in the homicide of Columbus barber Charlie Artis Scott, then, was the prosecution’s key witness against two co-defendants, D********** D****** and E***** L**, who were convicted of murder in Artis’ Jan. 5, 2012, fatal shooting, along with a string of other crimes." -- I can only look at this as sour grapes.. the (_*_) copped a plea thinking he'd get a better deal than going to trial, , but it isn't, so he wants to "take his ball and go home".

---
L-E headline: "Police brutality discussed at community forum * A crowd of more than 100 people showed up for the conversation * They discussed ways to make police more accountable to the community Some disagreed about videotaping when someone’s being arrested" -- Good grief.. the solutions are simple.. if you're innocent, cooperate with the police officers, and the only reason not to want "video" taken is that you cannot make up lies about what happened.

---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "I applaud Judge Not, Inc., the Columbus NAACP, and the other organizations hosting the gun buyback program. Such a shame that state legislators and gun lobbyists don’t care about the safety of citizens and police." -- Good grief.. what's so stand-uppish about turning in a gun for profit? A truly good citizen in possession of a gun that he/she doesn't need (or "found"), then call the police department and ask if he/she can bring it in or if the police department would send someone out to pick it up.

---
If Donald Trump's moniker, Crooked Hillary, loses steam, he's nailed her with "Secretary of Status Quo".

---
Yesterday, a man needlessly died in a single car accident as he was driving on the entry ramp to get onto J.R. Allen Parkway from Bradley Park Drive,. He lost control, hit some trees and rolled over several times. I'm betting he wasn't wearing a seat belt.. You know, statistic prove that if you are cooperating with the seat belt laws,  you probably wanted get killed.. Goes hand-in-hand with cooperating with police officers when you "run into them".

---
L-E editorial: "As reported by staff writers Larry Gierer and Alva James-Johnson, community activist and former Columbus Council candidate Marquese Averett and Columbus NAACP President Tonza Thomas were arrested and (very briefly) held after a protest event Saturday on Veterans Parkway. *  Averett announced plans for the protest in a Facebook post. Police Chief Ricky Boren told Averett a gathering of more than 16 people on public property without a permit would constitute unlawful assembly; according to Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, “Marquese said he understood but was going to move forward anyway.” --  You know.. if you're going to protest about laws being unfair, shouldn't you obey the laws to make your point? Being civilly disobedient makes you a hypocrite in protesting civil disobedience.

---
From the "it's funny how biting oneself on the butt comes back around to haunt you" department - L-E headline: "Jordan Spieth skips Olympics, latest star golfer to withdraw" -- You know, in 1996, the Olympics had the opportunity to establish itself as a "golfer's MUST" by having an Olympic champion be given a gold medal on the hallowed grounds of Augusta National... but.. the Olympic Committee "weinied out" because of a protest about women not being allowed there as members.....going to Brazil and being welcomed by bad water and Ziki-carrying mosquitoes just isn't the same attraction.

---
L-E story: "The four Auburn players arrested for possession of marijuana in April — Byron Cowart, Carlton Davis, Ryan Davis and Jeremiah Dinson — won’t miss any playing time." -- Hmm.. maybe the SEC should step in and make it mandatory that any players not disciplined for marijuana use be made to smoke some about 30 minutes before game time and the coach be made to play them every play.. especially on kick-return defense.
