From story: "More than half of those attending a forum on Race Relations and Policing at the River-Center for the Performing Arts stood tall Friday when asked about unfair treatment from police. * " -- Well, other than most of the "standees" were ideologically "recruited" to "be there". who has ever been stopped by a police officer in his sworn duty, and felt it was a warm cozy tete-a-tete. I know I haven't felt "loved" the two times I've been stopped in my life.. On the other hand, when I've had to call for Police help in other situations, I've always been satisfied ... and comforted by their professionalism. The Mayor did hit the nail on the head when she responded, "“Asking people to stand up if they were treated unfairly is an unfair indictment without being able to look at specific circumstances of that individual,”.

 

Personal comment: I really don't know why retired Chief Superior Court Judge John Allen allowed himself to be suckered into being the "foil" for the NAACP...

I want to apologize...I met Mike Crane prior to the May Primary Election, and even though I voted in the Democratic Primary because of important local races, I recommended Crane against the entire Republican field. He got the most votes, but not enough to avoid a runoff.. Until yesterday, I could still recommend Crane, in spite of the out-of-context "hit ads" being run by his opponent, but since Crane brought in Cruz..I withdraw any support I previously gave.

Heard a law firm ad recently that said if it didn't take your cased, it would refer you to another lawyer. Good grief, how crappy is that..one lawyer saying I don't think you have a case, but I'm sending you to another lawyer for him to waste his and your time? Oh, the next time I see it, I'll report the name/number/address so you legitimate lawyers can wreak a little payback whenever people come in with  meritless cases, y'all can send them to "him" saying "he" specializes in that kind of case.
