From the "Oh. yeah.. I am now the victim.. yeah, that's the ticket" department - Online story: "Kathy Griffin went on a marathon Twitter session Wednesday night while warning against the dangers of the U.S. having a president who “decided to punch down and use his following to go after” her." -- Hmmm.. and who threw the "first punch" and "knew" it would elevate her career and Hollywood standing?

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "8-month-old girl in bouncy chair mauled to death by family's pit bull * Miramar (FL) police officers said that the pit bull in question was removed from the home by Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division following the girl's death. Two other pit bulls were also taken from the house by animal control." -- Pit bulls.. and small children .. Just Don't Do IT!

---
Online headline: "Boehner: With Trump takeover of GOP, the Republican Party is 'kinda taking a nap' -- Good grief.. Boehner singled-handedly led the Republican Party into the swamp...then bailed out tearfully..

---
You know... gangs .. at best... should be described as Vigilantist packs and anarchists.

---
Hmmm... Amy Bryan says we should elect her to Council because her "youth" will be an asset on attracting new businesses and jobs... OK, Amy Bryan, show us how many jobs Columbus has gained AND lost in the past 12 months you been head of the Chamber's "Growth and Development".

---
Online headline/story: "House Leader McCarthy slams Google over 'Nazism' error, claims bias against conservatives * House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., was quick to slam Google on Thursday after reports surfaced that an error in the Internet search giant's Knowledge Panel listed "Nazism" as a tenet of the California Republican Party. * "Sadly, this is just the latest incident in a disturbing trend to slander conservatives," McCarthy wrote. "These damaging actions must be held to account. #StopTheBias"" -- Hmmm... and Google is the one that supports the "black shirts" (antifa) as "brown shirts" were part of the NAZI attempts to bully German citizens into submission.

From the "bias, what bias" department - L-E "headLIE"/story: "Columbus teen who had no record is going to prison – over a pair of sneakers * According to prosecutor Sadhana Dailey, Davis made contact with the owner after seeing the shoes for sale on Facebook. * Another male accompanied Davis to the rendezvous, where Davis asked to try on the shoes. Finding they fit, he told the seller, “These shoes is took.” * Davis’ companion then pulled out a pistol, and everyone ran. * But Columbus police quickly tracked Davis down, and found the stolen shoes in his closet. -- Hmmm.. if kids cannot read by 3rd grade, they probably will never read well... the same goes for knowing about consequences for one's actions..Thank our judge for having the courage to hold him.. and his parent(s) accountable.

From the "let's pile on" department - O line headline/story: "Jaelene Hinkle Turned Down USWNT Call-Up Because She Didn't Want To Wear LGBTQ Pride Jersey * Jaelene Hinkle is a 25-year-old American soccer player who currently plays for the NWSL’s North Carolina Courage. Last June, the defender was named to the USWNT’s roster to play in a couple friendlies, but refused the call-up, citing “personal reasons.” In a recent interview, the devout Christian athlete explained that her decision was motivated by her desire not to wear the USWNT’s special LGBTQ Pride Month jersey." -- Good grief.. not once did the soccer star belittle anyone about their personal life choices, but she being vilified for being true to her own.. She stood up for herself at the loss of personal recognition... Jaelene Hinkle should be rewarded.

From the "shhh... maybe no one will notice" department - Online headline/story: "Illinois approves Equal Rights Amendment, 36 years after deadline - The Illinois House voted Wednesday night to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment more than 45 years after it was approved by Congress, putting it one state away from possible enshrinement in the U.S. Constitution amid potential legal questions. * The 72-45 vote by the House, following an April vote by the Senate, was just one more vote than needed for ratification. It does not need the approval of Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner, who has said he supports equal rights but was faulted by Democrats for not taking a position on the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment)" -- Good grief.. enough DIMocrats finally joined Republicans in Illinois to pass the Equal Rights Amendment proposed over 45 years ago... Of course, it may be "moot" since the "deadline" to do so expired in 1982.. This really exposes the "all inclusive" DIMocrats for the hypocrites they really are' The Equal Rights Amendment was pretty straight forward:

'Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
'Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
'Section 3. This article shall take effect 2 years after the date of ratification.'

Hey, Illinois DIMocrats..especially, and the Obamas.. wha' happened?
---
Speaking of Illinois happenings", Shicago celebrated Memorial Day weekend with it's own version of "fireworks"... 41 people were shot... 6 of them fatally.

---
Interesting...remember when Comey "mentioned" to Trump that there might be some Russian influences inside his campaign..and Trump told Comey he didn't know of any, but please LET HIM KNOW IF COMEY FOUND ANYBODY. This pretty much ends the collusion aspect for Mueller.

Curious... ABC canceled Roseanne but continues to air "Blackish".. In the ratings prior to ABC's spontaneous canceling of "Roseanne". Roseanne was puling in over 13 MILLION viewers.. "The Middle", which follows Roseanne dropped to 7.5 MILLION, and the "Blackish" (following 'Th Middle) audience fell to less than 5 Million... What does "ABC" stand for... "A Buncha Clowns"?

---
I'm curious... with the Soccer Tournament scheduled for Columbus last weekend being canceled and shifted to Atlanta.. did anyone see any postings of results in the Columbus L-E? Anybody know how the Columbus based teams fared?

---
Results are in for the May 22,2018 primaries and non-partisan elections.. only 22% voted...this is the number one reason all final elections should be held on the November General Election Day.

---
From the "turn-about is fair play" department - Online story: "Georgia GOP attempts a push for Stacey Abrams’ income tax returns" -- Whoa.. just as with Trump, there's NO requirement that candidates supply their income tax returns... but... there are campaign disclosure laws that candidates must provide their assets and debts, and that is a lot more important to voters.. especially since the GA governor's job is about keeping a BALANCED budget.

---
From the "deja PU" department - L-E headline/story: "Suspect’s attorney says he ‘is not a member of Ghostface Gangsters’ * BY CHUCK WILLIAMS * The attorney for a Columbus man facing a range of drug and theft charges declared during a Thursday morning court hearing that his client was not in a whites-only gang at the center of an ongoing police investigation." -- There it is again.. first Chitwood, now Williams drawing dramatic attention to an obviously "alleged" fact.. GhostFace Gangsters is an "WHITES-ONLY" gang.. Has anyone seen/heard Chitwood or Williams ever report that Crips or Bloods or any other gang in Columbus was "non-whites only"?

---
L-E story: "After at least 15 years of hosting concerts, Saturday’s show will be the first time Uptown Columbus has brought hip-hop music to the Broadway median stage – and two homegrown products are among the acts. * Uptown Columbus, the nonprofit organization promoting the downtown area, usually offers a range of popular music, including rock, country and blues. But now, Uptown president Ross Horner figures local concertgoers are ready to welcome this hip-hop sound, mixed with electronic dance music, also known as EDM." -- Hmmm... my daughter mentioned "EDM" recently.. what she described is what "we" basically called "disco"..

---
Our CSU Cougars lost a heartbreaking game to Florida Southern yesterday, but will get another opportunity at FL Southern today at 1:00 PM... with a win. CSU will get the opportunity to fend off Augustana twice tomorrow for the Championship.. Go COUGARS!

---
From the "want to see another jury fail" department - L-E headline/story: "Police: DNA matched to man arrested in Texas on 2015 rape * Warrants were issued for a former Columbus man living in Texas after his DNA was matched to a woman who said she was assaulted while spending the night at his apartment, a police detective testified Thursday in Recorder’s Court . * J*** L*** S***, 30, of Converse, Texas, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count each of rape and sodomy in a Nov. 23, 2015 assault. He was extradited to Columbus." -- Wait a minute.. didn't we just have a case that a rapist whipped out his genitals to show the judge and jury that "his" did not match the literal description by the victim and got acquitted...even though the DNA matched him perfectly? Why bother spending tax dollars on extradition if a Columbus jury won't convict on EXACT DNA EVIDENCE?

The L-E published the MCSD 2018-2019 Fiscal budget proposal today - Hmmm.. did you notice how the MCSD budget "only" planned on $33.5 MILLION in its E-SPLOST revenues... while Mayor Tom-LYING-son feels the two City LOSTS will bring in over $71,000,000? Like I said, the Council should rip up Mayor Tom-LYING-son's 2019 budget proposal BEFORE the next Mayor has to dig deeper into the Fund Balanced.

Now, since the MCSD/MCSB KNOWS that only $33.5 Million in SPLOST revenues will actually come in (yet put in an average of $38.4 Million per year in the 2015 E-SPLOST projects list), isn't it time for our legislators to make an addendum to the SPLOST/LOST laws... something that will prohibit plans that are more than the average 5 year collection during previous SPLOSTs?

From the n"do you think anyone has really thought this trough" department - Online story: "Waymo, the driverless technology company spun out of Google, has agreed to purchase as many as 62,000 minivans from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for use in a ride-hailing service set to begin commercial operations later this year." -- Uber, LYFT, and now Waymo.. along with Google's street mapping vehicles.. question.. what's going to happen when all these driverless vehicles hit the "used cars" market..

---
L-E headline: "China cuts tariffs ahead of Ross visit" -- Well, well, well... China has blinked! Yes, Trump knows how to "deal".

---
L-E headline: "Saving Sessions: Inside the GOP effort to protect the attorney general" -- Hmmm.. wonder if there'll be a documentary on this... maybe a "sequel" to "Saving Private Ryan"... a good working title might be, "Saving Session's Privates"..
