From the "who'da thunk" department - Online headline/story: "Rubio: Coverage of Trump’s North Korea summit exposes 'incredible hypocrisy' of media * “I too have concerns about how all this with #NorthKorea will turn out. But I don’t recall all the ‘experts’ criticizing Obama when he met with a brutal dictator in #Cuba who also oversaw a police state & also killed & jailed his opponents. #DoubleStandard,” Rubio tweeted. * “When Obama did these things, he was described as enlightened. When Trump does it he is reckless & foolish. 1 yr ago they attacked Trump for leading us towards war, now attack for being too quick for peace." -- Hmmm... who'da thunk that I would be citing Marco Rubio for nailing the mainscream media for hypocrisy... yet here I am...

So, a judge has given permission for AT&T to acquire Time Warner. President Trump is probably "LOL".. With his disdain for Time Warner's CNN, who but AT&T is better at destroying it's assets.

I just wonder why the FCC is concerned over the ownership of CNN...We know CNN ratings suck, so why does the FCC feel that CNN even deserves to be on every cable system?

---
Online headline/story: "Embarrassment for CNN as Chris Cuomo’s new show trounced by MSNBC in anti-Trump smackdown * “Cuomo Prime Time" finished its first week with viewership down 9 percent compared to CNN’s 9 p.m. programming the same week last year. In addition, Friday’s episode lost 23 percent of the viewers who tuned in for last Monday’s much-heralded premiere." -- Welcome to Liberalville, AT&T..

---
Online headline: "Trump's 2020 campaign manager calls for CNN's 'absolute disgrace,' Jim Acosta, to lose press credentials" -- Well, no rush here.. with AT&T in control, Costa will be gone via natural attrition that follows AT&T.

Have you seen the Experian ad telling you that you can get a free Dark Web scan of your SS#, e-mail address on the Experian site. Hmmm...isn't it BECAUSE of a hack into the Experian system that we have identity theft to fear? Sorry Experian, too little, too late.

From the "will Starbucks close again for sensitivity training?" department - Online headline/story: "Seattle City Council votes to repeal 'head tax' weeks after enactment * Seattle's city council, facing stiff opposition from the business establishment, voted on Tuesday to repeal a newly enacted "head tax" imposed on the city's largest companies, including Amazon.com, as a way of fighting an affordable housing crisis." -- You know, Starbuck's initial response to being singled out for discriminating against loiterers who wanted to use one of it's bathrooms was to "open up" to all.. that lasted.. what.. two days before coffee grinds weren't the only "dregs" taking up space...and now only weeks after Seattle passed the "head tax", Starbuck Schultz raised the price of coffee in his stores to fight City Hall. Well, at least this is the way it seems...

Online headline/story: "NFL, MLB will participate in NYC Pride March for the first time this month * The NFL and MLB will be making their debut in the parade, joining the NHL, NBA and WNBA on June 24. The five leagues are all currently registered to march in the parade and will have floats" -- Hmmm wonder how many of Colin KaeperPRICK's supporters will "take to their knees" on the streets of NYC?

From this story: "The MLB will send nearly 200 employees to the march, including Deputy Commissioner Dan Halem. Former umpire Dale Scott and former player and current league executive Billy Bean — who are both openly gay — will also participate." -- Just for clarity.. Billy Bean is not BILLY BEANE... of "Moneyball" fame.

From the "no new law would have mattered" department - Online headline/story: "Florida man kills four children, himself during standoff, police say * The standoff ended at about 9 p.m. local time on Monday, when police entered the apartment and found the children and the suspect Gary Wayne Lindsey Jr. dead of gunshot wounds, Orlando Police Chief John Mina told reporters during a press conference. * The officer who was shot was in critical condition, Mina said. * Two of the children were Lindsey's. The woman who called police was the mother of the other two children * Lindsey was a felon on probation after he pleaded no contest to arson and other charges stemming from an incident in 2008" -- Tis true, tis true, tis true.. when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns..

---
From the "One more reason why we need our local elections to be held in November" department - L-E headline/story: "Mayor Tomlinson’s last budget includes changes to garbage fee, city pay * Mayor Teresa Tomlinson won approval Tuesday from Columbus Council on a 2019 fiscal year budget of $275.3 million. * “It’s an important day,” Tomlinson said before council approved the budget that raises the garbage collection fee by $1 to $18 a month and gives all full-time city employees a raise of 1.5 percent." -- We have a "lame duck" Mayor making decisions for the next mayor to deal with 7 months after the election.. the whole premise of her budget is based on the two LOST taxes bringing in $71 Million dollars when actual ongoing results show that $67 Million is all that should be counted on which means when the new mayor takes control, 9 or 10 more days of the Fund Balance may have been carved out of the City Savings Account for "rainy days".

Hmmm... I see Columbus has it's Second Annual Columbus Black Rodeo coming in July * will be filled with loads of fun as some of the best black cowboys around converge on the Columbus Civic Center... Really.. how inclusive does this make the rest of Columbus "feel"? Oh, and why did the Civic Center even book ab event that is upfront about it's segregation?

You know..when I woke up this morning, I could sit up in bed and say, "What a great day!" Jesus is my Savior and Trump is my President. And I can do that every day! God is good.

---
Almost had a heart attack yesterday...was partially tuned in to my radio and I heard clips that said DeNiro had apologized for...what he said about Trump...uh oh..to good to be true..De Niro apologized to Canada...well...he's been on my movie boycott list for awhile..any suggestions of additional sanctions I can add?

Looking back I can remember when Hellary was held up to us as "the smartest woman in the world ..In retrospect, what mainscream media meant was Hellary was the smartest DIMocrat women in their world...Of course, her competition was/is the likes of Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Washerwoman Schultz, and Pocahontas Warren...I can see why DIMocrats could believe Hellary was smart in comparison.

Can you believe UpChuck Schumer complaining about whether or not President Trump gave Kim Jong Ooops too much leverage in negotiations? Now, where was Schumer when Obama gave Iran pallets of cash and a clear route to develop nuclear bomb capability?

---
Online headline/story: "Reporter Asked Trump if He’s Being Outsmarted by Kim Jong Un, What He Said Next Left The Room in Silence * Leave it up to the mainstream media to try and devalue Pres. Trump’s historic accomplishment. Things got pretty heated as Pres. Trump was repeatedly asked if he is being outsmarted by North Korea. His response was epic. * “You have a different Administration. You have a different President.” * “We get it done… The other groups, maybe it wasn’t a priority. I don’t think they could’ve done it if it was a priority, frankly. And it would’ve been easier back then. For me, it would’ve been much easier if it were 5 years ago, 10 years ago. This goes back… for 25 years this should’ve happened.” _- You know, Trump is the deal-maker he claims to be... he out-dealt the establishment Republicans and the DIMocratic Party by dealing directly with the American voters who wanted America to be Great Again, and has kept our confidence.. and loyalty.. by keeping his promises..Trump 2020!

---
Online headline: "Weeping Dennis Rodman praises Trump's meeting with friend Kim Jong Un, blasts Obama for ignoring him" -- How about Rodman in a "Make America Great Again" hat! Rodman joins Kanye West in enlightening the DIMocrat "taken-for-granted-too-long" database.

Mainscream media seems to have... no, has forgotten..well, more like demolished the sacred rule of good journalism....report the news, not your views.

Anybody know how the Columbus teams fared in the Memorial Day Weekend tournament that had to be moved to Atlanta ... How about which teams won?

---
You know.. the primary elections are actually unnecessary.. each party could nominate a candidate for placement on the November ballot WITHOUT having a public primary, but they don't because they like the publicity of their candidates names to get media time. Now, why should the taxpayers shoulder the costs of these non-elections? I doubt this mention will get more than a ripple in the community, but I do think the community should be treated fairly.. How about a rule that political parties cannot participate in the primary elections unless... unless they put up at least two candidates for every post on the ballot..even with a great incumbent, voters should have a way to show their approval OR disdain.

There's a new list out ranking states by "best & Worst Economies". Georgia fares well ... we're in the "Top 10"..but... no telling where GA could rank if it didn't have to count Columbus's declining economy and rising unemployment figures.

Hey Council.. stop the bleeding from our business and retail closures! Amy Bryan.. isn't this YOUR Chamber department's business?

Oh.. one question.. why do pollsters include Washington, DC as a "state"? Our Founding Fathers specifically did not want Washington, DC to be in any one state no be considered a state.

Have you seen the Experian ad telling you that you can get a free Dark Web scan of your SS#, e-mail address on the Experian site. Hmmm...isn't it BECAUSE of a hack into the Experian system that we have identity theft to fear? Sorry Experian, too little too late.

Got another "Chamber Invite" today... this time for a Military Appreciation Breakfast sponsored by Liberty Utilities.. How appropriate.. The Chamber is presenting Casey Cagle,,, you know the one with the "open mike" problem like Obama had when telling the Russians he "would be more flexible after the (2012) election"? One thing for sure.. with Liberty and Cagle present, there's no chance of a "gas shortage"...

From the "bias. what bias?" department - Online headline/story: "GOP moderates' bid to force DACA vote falls 2 signatures short * Republican moderates in the U.S. House late Tuesday were reportedly two signatures shy of forcing a vote on a proposal addressing DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals), the Obama-era program for delaying deportations of those who entered the U.S. illegally as children." -- From this headline, you'd think Republican is LOADED with moderates.. in truth, there are only about 22 of them.. the rest of the 216 votes "for" were made by Pelosi DIMocrats...

Yep.. another good reason for political parties to have at least two candidates running for every post in their primaries..
