Last night a celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Ft Benning was held on the base. It was to cement the relationship Columbus and Ft Benning have developed.. It was mix of current and past military personnel who are (or formerly) serving our nation. General Brito and his bride were gracious hosts..and the list of retired military leaders was awesome..Columbus responded pretty good with politicians galore..former State Senator Harp fit right in, and Councilors Pugh, Barnes, Thomas, House, Huff and Davis shined, and even former Mayor (Col Retired) Bob Poydashef was in his element . Even Chamber Director Brian Anderson made an appearance, but excused himself soon after I introduced myself. I and others were invited as "Descendants"..family members of the Columbus citizens who were highly involved in bringing Ft Benning to be permanently entrenched in our history and future. Of course,, Mayor Tom-LYING-son was notably absent...a literal no-show..guess she shares another facet of politics with Hellary.. disrespect for our military. Oh, sadly, Skip "skipped", too.

From the "there's probably not near enough duct tape to keep Glen Beck's head from exploding" department - Online headline/story: "Kleenex to rebrand 'mansize' tissues after gender complaints * Kleenex will re-brand its "Mansize" tissues after consumers complained the name was sexist — touching off a social media conversation about what's in a name. * The company behind Kleenex, Kimberly-Clark, said Thursday that the product, which is sold only in the U.K., will now be called "Kleenex Extra Large." Packages for the tissues describe them as "confidently strong" and "comfortingly soft." * Kimberly-Clark told Britain's Daily Telegraph that it in "no way suggests" that being both soft and strong was "an exclusively masculine trait, nor do we believe that the Mansize branding suggests or endorses gender inequality." -- Well one thing for sure, there are certainly no "confidently strong" MEN in the decision making group at Kimberly-Clark! Now, how about removing all of Kimberly-Clark's "feminine exclusive" personal products ads from TV!

From the "talk about putting the last nail in your own coffin" department - Online headline: "Colin Powell Lambastes Trump Over Immigration, Press And How He Doesn’t Play Nice" -- "he doesn't play nice"? Good grief.. Colin... uh, COLON Powell was a GENERAL.. no wonder we didn't "win" when he was in the ball game!

---
From the "this is how COLON Powell should have "played" when he was THE General" department -- Online story: "(President Trump) tweeted: “I am watching the Democrat Party led (because they want Open Borders and existing weak laws) assault on our country by Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, whose leaders are doing little to stop this large flow of people, INCLUDING MANY CRIMINALS, from entering Mexico to U.S.” * In another tweet, he wrote: “In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” -- Good grief.. maybe we should ask Kimberly-Clark to "rename" COLON Powell... I suggest "oversized and extra soft cream puff".

Online headline: "One of Khashoggi's suspected killers reportedly died in a car crash on return to Saudi Arabia" -- One question has to asked... did this guy's "boss" ever work for the Clinton's or did the Saudi "gifts" to the Clinton Library/Foundation include "tips" on how to covering up past problems?

Online headline/story: "Disney Kicked Out Former President Barack Obama For Breaking One Big Rule * Obama was kicked out of Disneyland as a college kid — for smoking. * But the former president noted the cigarettes were just that, and nothing stronger. * He went on, saying: “There’s these two very large Disneyland police officers and they say, ‘Sir, can you come with us?’ And they escort us out of Disneyland. This is a true story, everybody" -- Too bad those two Disneyland police officers did not become Secret Service officers...

Online headline: "President Avenatti? Lawyer for Stormy Daniels and Julie Swetnick wants the 2020 Democratic nomination, arguing that no one will swing harder at Trump" -- Hmmm.. well, from a "swinging" standpoint, it appears Avenatti could challenge Slick Willie for the championship.. and Avenatti obviously knows how to mingle with prostitutes, so he could be a viable choice in the Despicorat 2020 nomination process. Sadly, compared to other Despicorat contenders, Avenatti would actually be a "breath of fresh air".

MSM-13 is rushing to judgment concerning the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi...primarily in an attempt to embarrass President Trump. Now, where was the concern of MSM-13 following the deaths of 4 Americans in the 2012 Islamic attack on the American Consulate and CIA headquarters in Benghazi?

---
You know, though all evidence is not in, there's a great probability that the death of Jamal Khashoggi has come at the hands of the Islamic family in charge of the Saudi Arabia government. Maybe..but I doubt it... this could be a wake-up call for MSM-13. MSM-13 has been (and continues) supporting Islamic ideals and candidates running for offices with our own government.

---
After the disappearance..and likely death of Jamal Khashoggi by Islamic powers that be, how can any American journalist or politician support the Palestinian assault on Israel, or challenge Trump's immigration policy from despot run Muslim states?

I keep hearing investment sales pitches for silver and its potential 200% increase. Seems that the solar industry will have to use silver which will drive up the price exponentially. Hmmm..now I would think that the solar energy companies could not afford silver prices that double, so I imagine that solar companies will find another element to use..which would make silver decrease in value.

I just heard Joe Biden describe Trump as " coddling" leaders of Russia, China and Saudi Arabia. "Coddling" ? How did Joe Biden describe President Obama when he bowed and apologized to these folks?

Does anyone else see the irony of Sen Bob Menendez, D-NY, being outraged at Judge Kavanaugh. Menendez is under scrutiny for his ethics.. He has had one trial that ended up with a hung jury but the charges still exist, and a retrial is being formulated. Is it no wonder he seeks Hellary's support and company..he wants her close to make him seem less guilty in comparison.

M/C L-E headline: "After two straight years of achieving its highest composite score on the ACT college entrance exam, the Muscogee County School District fell back this year. * MCSD had increased its score the past three consecutive years, from 18.6 in 2014 to 19.7 in 2017, but it decreased by 0.3 points to 19.4 in 2018 -- although still matching its second-highest score since the district started keeping track 13 years ago. * The highest possible ACT score is 36. * Meanwhile, the Georgia state average remained at 21.4, and the national average decreased by 0.2 points, from 21.0 in 2017 to 20.8 in 2018." -- You know, when scores increase.. even slowly.. year after year.. that's PROGRESS.. When scores ebb and flow year-to-year, any increase is.. basically.. a statistical blip. Even the L-E cannot spin this as progress.

Online headline/story: "New Kamala Harris Bill Asks Federal Taxpayers to Subsidize California's High Housing Costs * Rents in California have skyrocketed over the past decade, thanks to the innumerable restrictions, taxes, and fees that the state imposes on new housing development. Now Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) wants the rest of the country to pay to fix this problem. * On Thursday, Harris, along with Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Maggie Hasan (D–N.H.), and Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), introduced the Rent Relief Act, which would provide refundable tax credits for tenants who spend more than 30 percent of their income on rent." -- Hmmm.. what did I tell you about Avenatti... he's looking better than Kamala Harris or Dick Blumenthal as a Despicorat nominee for president in 2020.. You'll remember Harris and Blumenthal as cohorts with Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee as they attempted to overthrow provisions of our Constitution to block Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation. I just wonder how Harris can campaign in the other 49 states after trying to tax them to pay for keeping California afloat.

From the "state of decline in public education just got highlighted:" department - M/C L-E headline/story: "G League to offer $125,000 contracts to elite prospects * Players will be eligible to sign the select deal if they turn 18 by Sept. 15 prior to the season that they would spend in the G League. The move follows recommendations released earlier this year by the Commission on College Basketball, a group that was chaired by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and was tasked with reforming the college game. * The commission report said “elite high school players with NBA prospects … should not be ‘forced' to attend college.” -- “elite high school players with NBA prospects … should not be ‘forced' to attend college.”? Excuse me.. but how does not having any financial skills benefit someone who decided he (gender specific) will be one of a few elite basketballers who will get one year's income at $125,000.00 before basketball "chews him up and spits him out" Chances are 1,000s of high schoolers will feel they are guaranteed such a contract and will not even try to get an education... Of course, the MCSD will award them diplomas here because there are no real standards for doing so anymore.
