There is turmoil among Republicans about a temporary fix to the spending ceiling. Personally, I agree with McConnell on this "Kick the can to December" ploy.. Doing so takes the issue off the front pages on newspapers and off the lead stories on TV... Hopefully mews will focus back on Hunter's "Art Show" (it happened while you blinked), and issues such as the Haitian influx so far, and the 50/60,000 en route, or Biden's tax issue or Chinese connections.. or the Chinese are pretty much practicing bomb runs on Taiwan...and how about how there have been MORE Covid-19 deaths in 2021 than 2020 after JoKKKe Biden campaigned on "his plan" was better that Trump's.. No, taking the spending issue off the front page is GOOD for Republicans and America....

Oh! Let me ask you.. if you were a leader of a struggling 3rd world country, would you want to spend money on keeping criminals housed in jails at "your" expense, or let 1,000s upon 1,000s them out, and help them get to our Southern Border and become OUR problem!

From the "Deja POO" department - Online headline/story: "Hunter Biden art show adds to White House ethics headache * Biden is selling his artwork for between $75,000 and $500,000 – a hefty price tag for a debut artist * Hunter's attendance at the event came despite the White House previously saying that he would not know the identities of potential buyers. * Walter Shaub, the former Office of Government Ethics director under President Obama, previously told Fox News that Hunter's lucrative art career has a "shameful and grifty feeling to it." * "He can't possibly think anyone is paying him based on the quality of the art. This smells like an attempt to cash in on a family connection to the White House," he added. * Art experts have said that Hunter's work is wildly overpriced." --

Now that Creepo Cuomo is out of office, it looks like governor-wannabe de Bl@sio wants to be governor, but the new governor is beginning to like her job.. Now we're seeing financial abuse issues exposed regard de Bl@sio. Seems the latest is that he used his security guards to help his daughter "move", and are shuttling his son to-and-from college. It's also been revealed that de Bl@sio has NOT REPAID his City (NYC) back some $300,000.00 he owes from using his Mayoral security team as his Presidential campaign security team when he made a stab at winning the Democratic Party nomination...

From the "Foghorn Leghorn, "“This boy’s making more noise than a couple of skeletons throwin’ a fit on a tin roof” department - Online headline: "Supreme Court justices ask the Biden administration if a Guantanamo Bay prisoner can testify about his CIA-sponsored torture" -- Good grief! Some of our Justices want to hear from an Islamic terrorist (that even Obama/Biden didn't release) that was captured in "the field" in 2006, and ask him questions about "torture"... Good grief! Do they really believe they would get an honest response from him?

WRBL-TV3 headline: "State motion in criminal case against DA Mark Jones claims he ‘disregards law and ethics to win murder cases’" -- You know.. even if the charges are "slightly" politically overblown, it's scary that ANY level of ethics charges be brought up about a District Attorney...

---
From the "more fraud on the way!" department - Online headline: "Virginia Dems press Northam to waive absentee ballot witness signature requirements ahead of governor's race" -- Good grief! Our Constitution expressly gives each state's LEGISLATURE that responsibility... not the governor, but with the legislature elections just a month away, Democrat Legislators are concerned about their OWN elections to have to defend their own involvement in potential election irregularities...

Through this week last year, there were 32 recorded/counted homicides in Columbus, GA.. this year, during the same time period, Columbus, GA has had 55 recorded/counted homicides... that's a 72-percent INCREASE!..... SO FAR!

Now.since Columbus went on to 46 homicides last year, Columbus had a 44% increase for the last 2 months of 2020.. if the same "ratio" (44%) occurs this year, then we are on schedule for 79 homicides this year! I'd say this is a good indication that our "crime prevention programs" do not work, and that money needs to be redirected to the CPD needs.

Follow up on three local Columbus, GA issues:

1 - Anybody seen any revisions to a revision of the proposed GA Congressional redistricting map?

2 - Absentee Ballot Requests "The application must be received by your election office* 11 days before the election."

https://sos.ga.gov/admin/uploads/2021_Absentee_Ballot_Application2.pdf

3 - Tried to get a local address we could make donations to the "Blue & Faith" Event so we could show financial support for our local Police officers. Was given an Atlanta phone number (404-605-7000), so I called and talked with a "F & B" representative, who, after conferring with others said she would e-mail that info but wouldn't give it to me over the phone.. https://faithandblue.org/ I received no e-mail from her...
