Hey Council/Mayor of Columbus, GA! I feel "cheated"! My neighborhood hasn't even GOT the new trash/debris/recycle cans, but at least one Columbus ALREADY needs a REPLACEMENT! Knew the lower than what I expected "cost per unit" sounded "too good to be true", but a new question has popped up... Who... the City, or the owner/renter, will PAY for the replacement cans?

According to reports, the majority of those funds came from the donations of families who had made contributions via various fundraising efforts. * Due to its status as a 503c non-profit, the hospital is only required to spend up to a certain amount of charitable donations on actual costs such as patient care, staffing pay, or other required expenditures. Records from their tax filings show that of the more than $7 billion received in donations over a five-year period, less than 50% was spent on patients. Another 30% supported fundraising efforts, and the rest was converted to a cash reserve stockpile. * Patients who attend the hospital are promised to never receive a bill for treatment or services, however, the hospital acknowledged in its own financial records that only $500,000,000 went to patient care services. Any additional treatment costs are paid via the Medicaid program, which covers an estimated 90% of their patients in the hospital. * This leaves the parents of the patients to figure out the costs of visitation and nearby housing, and other costs on their own as they have a policy of only providing accommodations for one parent." -- What's even sadder is that all those other "send us $11.00 - $29.00 a month... every month" spiels are doing the same thing... they've hired a fundraiser who gets 30% of the take (plus ad costs) while promising YOU & ME "it shows "we care" or shows "we love". Once and for all, how can a Congressional District be determined politically biased, when the only requirement is for all Districts in a state simply be close to equal in numbers? The Constitution says nothing about a District being decided by the makeup of Registered Democrats-to-Republicans.
