Thanks to an alert BCer: Have you noticed how the GADOT is stripping away the "Highway beautification Program" on I-185 and the J.R. Allen Parkway here in Columbus, GA Going... or gone... are the Crepe Myrtles, Pampas Grass, and other greenery that gave us visual relief... and protection... between miles of concrete roadways, and are being replaced by eyesore category concrete and knee-high cable "fences" that look inadequate to stop a semi ... or logging truck... from crossing over the medians and into oncoming traffic...
