The NCAA has really lost control of the only thing they were responsible for.... INTEGRITY in college sports.. I heard Saturday that one of the rapidly growing problems is coaches contacting players at other schools to "invite" them to enter the "transfer portal". Talk about enabling the less moral elements of college football! Think about how now, with the N-I-L rules, zealous Alumni can give their team coaches a huge edge by offering "advertising" contracts to lure players....a practice that use to be illegal before N-I-L.

And they just keep piling up... gunshot bodies in Columbus, GA, that is.. We'd already heard of one fatality on Christmas Eve. and now the other one from the same location has "dropped". Seems that the "injured" one has just been kept on life support until this past Wednesday ... I believe this is the 36th gun fatality and pushes our total homicide number to pushing 50... Raises our "per 100,000" figure to about 25...Columbus is back in the rarefied atmosphere.. Of course, Columbus may not show up in the FBI's "LIST", as it seems Columbus no longer reports these crime numbers to them.

What's the difference...between "taxation without representation" that ignited our Founding Fathers to seek separation from English Rule, and "taxation with Democrat Party Representation"? * The Patrol Officers pursued the juvenile suspect, who attempted to flee on foot and eventually detained him near River Road and 37th Street. * According to the police department, the officers also confiscated a reportedly stolen firearm from the juvenile suspect." * The 16-year-old suspect is charged with the following:

Possession of a stolen firearm
Obstruction
Firing within city limits
Juvenile in possession of a firearm
Wearing a mask, hood or device which conceals identification of wearer.

You know... integral parts of this story are just omitted.. such as the proximity of this to the Wilson Homes.. there are many other "gun crimes" committed within a few blocks of Wilson Homes/Apartments (between 29th & 35th Sts, 8th Ave & Veterans PKWY, at the intersection of River Road).. We hear so many shooting and fatality stories that occur in that proximity yet "Wilson Homes/Apartments" is just not mentioned in the mix.. Then there's the "16 year old with a stolen gun" aspect.. probably gang provided and the CPD just happened to be in the area during a possible gang initiation process.. I really do hate being cynical, but this situation calls for it.. Please Columbus, GA Media, please Columbus Council.. please don't continue covering up reality!

In round figures, that's a body per week, and 10 violent gun assaults a week for 2022...
