Tuesday, then Wednesday, and now Thursday have come and gone, but our yard debris has not.. Not knowing WHEN our Columbus GA garbage department WILL collect our GREEN can waste, we decided to make it blend in better in the neighborhood with some holiday cheer.

Online headline: “DOJ's handling of Hunter Biden case is 'inexplicable,' says Turley, as ex-prosecutor faces questioning * 'I can't think of one' reason to allow the statute of limitations on unpaid taxes to expire, Turley noted” -- What does Turley mean when he “can't think of a one reason" why the DOJ has handled things this way? Pure politics comes to mind for me IMMEDIATELY!

---
Online headline: “Savannah, GA River Street businesses get final green light to create improvement district, collect taxes” -- Hmmm… Tourism customers should revolt! The merchants want consumers to pay for a safer shipping area versus the merchants paying for a safe place for consumers to shop.. I think we'll eat/shop in other areas of Savannah on our trips there.

---
Online headline: “Former Pence chief of staff: Trump shouldn’t hold his breath for an endorsement * by Nick Robertson, The Hill” -- Nick Robertson, who penned this piece, worked with the same organizations and Muck Rack as well.. And “The Hill's” GM, Joe Ruffolo. was "trained" by Disney/ABC, AOL, Nickelodeon, and CNN....yet The Hill claims itself to be bipartisan...As Jon Lovitz would say, "Yeah. ...Right!" This is not "news"... It's a hit piece.

---
Online headline: “Wash Post admits Hunter Biden's Burisma board membership 'should have been a scandal' when his dad was VP” -- Wait a minute! "should have been a scandal"? IT WAS A SCANDAL!... Like so many liberal media firms, the WaPo just opted to turn a blind eye to the situation.
---
Online headline: “Joe Biden May Have Just Made a 'Breathtaking Mistake,' Legal Analyst Warns” -- You know... Seriously, is there anyone who actually believes Hunter Biden is smart enough.. capable enough.. to have created the "political business connections" on his own?

---
Online headline: “Here’s what a team of young Georgia professionals suggested to fix Columbus problems” -- Good grief! There are 3 aspects desperately needed to improve the future of Columbus, GA... well , ANY growing city.. Safety... Education....and.. AND GENTRIFICATION! Without a concerted effort at all three of these components, inner cities rot.. degenerate...and... AND become eyesores, blight, and albatrosses for planned future growth. Without control of crime.. without the K-12 education system sending graduates out into the community…the world…prepared and able to READ, and do MATH, and without GENTRIFICATION recreating desirable living/gathering/shopping places, no community can survive in the future.

---
There is still issue with the External Audit report/response from the Columbus, GA City Manager’s Office.. Why was not CM Isaiah Hugley presenting the response rather than a Deputy CM? Did he just not want to be bothered, or just didn't want to answer questions on the record?

---
Online headline: “Local Election Offices in Muscogee and Glynn Counties Honored with Inaugural EAGLE Awards for Excellence in Election Administration” -- Wow! Only two counties out of 159 in Georgia passed muster! Maybe the denial that there was enough voter fraud to change the voting results on 2020/2022 is not so valid as the Democrats, media, and Raffensperger claim…

---
Online headline: “Changes to Georgia school accountability could mean no more A-to-F grades for schools and districts” – It’s bad enough that our Columbus, GA school system stopped requiring the “Graduation Test” to get a diploma from high school, but this will dumb-it-down even further.. Have educators (and I use the word guardedly) forgotten when Stanford University went to only a “Pass/Fail” system? It was the SMART students who realized they were being penalized by not having records that distinguished them for employers to consider when applying for jobs after they were graduated.. Stanford went back to the previous system… so should our K-12 system, too.

Online story: “Seven immigrant rights organizations have filed a complaint against the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, accusing CBP of violating its custody standards by holding asylum-seeking migrants in several open-air detention sites along the U.S.-Mexico border in California. * The complaint says Border Patrol agents forced asylum-seekers to wait outdoors for several hours or days at a time between border barriers in the San Diego Sector and at other open-air sites near Jacumba, California. * Agents are accused of not allowing migrants to leave the areas while not providing them with “access to water, food, sanitation, medical care, or protection from the elements. * The 88-page complaint was filed by the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies; the International Refugee Assistance Project; the National Immigration Law Center; Al Otro Lado; the American Friends Service Committee; Border Kindness; and the Southern Border Communities Coalition. “ – Good grief! First.. they are illegal aliens, not immigrants! Secondly. What gives those weird groups “standing” on the courts to even file a suit! Thirdly, the CBP is only… and unwillingly I might add… following Biden policies!

From the “well, you had to know this was coming” department - Online headline: “Now scientists say BREATHING is bad for the environment“ – Part two of this story will probably claim breathing by Republicans is the worst aspect…

---
From the “As if there was any doubt, Boston Mayor Wu went to Harvard...” department - Now Boston Mayor Wu says she just wanted to have a buncha small elitist party with herself being the only exception on her guest lists.. Hmmm . wonder if she had themes for a White Kwanzaa or a Muslim Hanukah? (Thanks to Greg Gutfield for a couple o0f these party ideas…

---
Online headline: “White House silent on reported Biden administration staffers protesting president's Israel policy” – Hmmm… and the White House staff is wondering how they can keep him away from the microphone when the Teleprompter is not telling him what to say..

---
Online headline: ‘Columbus Civic Center set to host Christmas Food Drive for Georgia and Alabama residents “ -- Think about this.. Boxes of food will be given to each car
that drives up… wouldn’t you think that the real families in need might not have a car to drive up in?

---
From the “you’ve come a long way, baby!” department – Online headline/story: “Female soldier graduates Army's sniper school in historic first * U.S. Army Sgt. Maciel Hay, who serves as a cavalry scout with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, passed the Army's sniper course last month at Fort Moore, Georgia, (formerly Ft, Benning) according to a brigade release. Her accomplishment marked the first time an active duty female had passed the rigorous course ” – Wow! I remember being the official photographer for the International Sniper Competition in 2007 and 2008. I was asked by a friend of mine that was integral in the origin of the Sniper School at Ft Benning (now known as Ft Moore) if I would come out and take pictures for the competition and for use bythe Discovery/Military Channel to use in a documentary of the competition.. and I thoroughly enjoyed being in the middle of the completion.. Those guys were amazing!

---
Online headline: “First lady Jill Biden blasted over 'bizarre' White House Christmas video: 'United States of Bananas'” --- Hmmm… and if you’ve seen it, you need no further comment from me…

---
Online headline: ‘Boston mayor defends excluding White people from holiday party” -- Hmmm... just when you think a situation could not get worse, she not only defends it, Mayor Wu basically apologized FOR GETTING CAUGHT!
