Hmmm... the FCS Committee has not done its homework.. Washington is 13-0 has earned a spot... Michigan is 13-0 and earned a spot, but FSU who also is 13-0 but didn't make the playoffs, yet both suffered the loss of their premier Quarterbacks, and both replacements successfully finished leading their teams to undefeated seasons.. Now, let's look at Texas, Georgia and Alabama.. Alabama lost one game .. but it was Texas...the same Texas who lost to Oklahoma and Oklahoma was beaten by Oklahoma State ( a 9-4 team).. Georgia lost by 3 points to Alabama which is definitely not a catastrophic loss, but GA has won the two previous National Championships, and certainly should be considered a special opportunity team to play for a third National Championship in a row. Now, I am no longer interested in the Fiesta Bowl, or the Rose Bowl games..as usual.... and the Sugar Bowl ..primarily because I'm through with New Orleans from a safety aspect, so the Sugar Bowl will be ho-hum again.

GA was outscored... but forget the bad... well, inconsistent... referee calls.. as "the reason". To me, it came down to an unforced error... on that field goal that hit the goal post and bounced out.. It the kick had taken placed 5yards closer, it would either slip by the post cleanly or touched the inside and bounced through... but a 5 yard penalty for slight moved before the snap changed that.

Oh...you know, TDs automatically count if any part of the ball touches the goal line... so, how come field goals don't automatically count when the ball touches any part of the goal above the cross bar..
