There’s an “interesting” event scheduled on March 20th by “Trees Columbus” at the Columbus GA Botanical Center on Weems Road: “Part Tree Canopy Restoration”… Hmmm … Wonder why the City didn't notify “Trees Columbus” before the City got rid of the 90-100 year old oaks. at the Government Center site? Reminds me of when a Horace King structure was unceremoniously torn down at Columbus Mills a number of years back.. it’s easier.. and cheaper.. to pay a fine and/or ask for forgiveness rather than apply for permission!
