Wow! I listened to a WTVM-TV9 video interview with new Columbus GA Councilor John Anker, entwined with “unbiased” (yeah, right) comments by protest speakers at Tuesday evening’s Council meeting yesterday… she rhetorically questioned Anker as to whether he could, or would,  act on Democrat values…. Hmmm… I thought… and what Democrat values does she mean… could she mean those of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr… a Republican who was fighting to end judgement based on “the color of one’s skin”,  or Joe Biden, who said she couldn’t “be considered Black unless she voted for Democrats”? Personally, I want men and women serving the citizens of this City and our country to be focused on AMERICAN VALUES!

Online headline: "The loudest silence: Top Democrats remain mum amid violent attacks on Tesla" -- Hmmm... this must be the "Democrat Values" a Columbus, GA citizen feels will make America great again... it's also the "Democrat Values" America REJECTED overwhelmingly in November! Making America GREAT takes people who are willing to stand up for what's right... locally and nationally!

I was rather put off by Columbus GA City Manager "I-see-a-nothing" Hugley's "indignation" about being questioned about a check for nearly $30,000.00 being "cut" to his wife.. Hugley dismissed any irregularity based on the fact the money was a "grant" (TAX DOLLARS) from the Small Business Administration. Maybe there should be an audit for the use the $30,000,00.. Was it on her Insurance business on St Mary's Road (in which her husband is co-owner of the property and listed as owner of "Hugley Facility Management" at same address), or maybe for her rental houses in Phenix City, Al (loyalty?) or for her other businesses working with Lee County, GA or  a Mississippi State Legislative group? Hugley's  flippant negative retort to being asked to explain this was not warranted. And while we're "at it", since he seems to be the 'money man" for this "SBA GRANT", maybe a full disclosure of all the checks he City "cut" need to be looked at again... but more closely.

Online headline: "Columbus council approves South Commons redevelopment, tables trade center parking plan" -  Acceptance of one as is, and holding another for readjustments... that's good "Counciling".. now what I don't know anything about, and no Councilor has responded to my inquiries, but what monumental project is going on at the 29th Street Recreation area across the street... some "mini-jail” looking building has gone up and the softball fields by it have been plowed up.. and there's as many dirt moving vehicles there to build another "round-a-bout"...

Was it my imagination, but did the "Five Minute" rule for speaking at Council get waved for some of those "protesting" Anker... it was not about the process.. the process was/is "etched in stone"... the target was more of a racial issue. We should be BETTER than this... or at least we need TO BE!

Online "headLIE" -- "'The View' hosts call out Jasmine Crockett for mocking Greg Abbott's disability, say it was 'beneath her" -- Huh? After listening to Crockets foul-mouthed rants at public forums, this WAS NOT beneath her.. in fact, she was standing on the scum covered floor and spewing mouth's full of that in every rant she uttered... Ironically, what Crockett did was no less offensive than what "The VIEW" prides itself on..

WTVM-TV9 Online "headLIE": "New camera on Wynnton Road targets school zone speeders" -- Harrumph! What it really targets is people's wallets! There's a FALSE sense of security because cars doing the normal posted speed aren't considered speeding., and if they go 1 MPH over that, they get a 3-week-later notice and fine.
