Online headline: "“Scott Peterson, infamous wife-killer, beat up by fellow inmate during prison yard Pickleball match” -- Good grief! Even though it’s in California, it's still a prison, not a YMCA or Public Park... Why does a prison offer "Pickle Ball"! Why not offer "Pole Vaulting".. so prisoners can learn a new way to escape from prisons?

Sounds like there were more fireworks fired off at
Columbus GA Council yesterday than are usually heard on July 4th. Councilor
Judy Thomas resigned from Post 9 for health reasons... She's been a stalwart
for Columbus, and we all wish her improved health.
John Anker was nominated and approved to fill
Judy's Post 9 seat.. Anker is a successful businessman who has brought
many new jobs into areas of Columbus that were in need of proximity
opportunities. Council voted 6-3 to confirm Anker. Thought it was strange that
Mayor Skippy and Councilor Chambers were so openly against Anker as both had
run against him in the past 2 years, and while they both won, neither seemed
very gracious about Anker bringing his energy to Columbus' future. Was most
surprised at Mayor Skippy's statement that appointing Anker was wrong because
he had not received a majority of Columbus voters in either race. I must point
out that Mayor Skippy himself, nor Councilor Chambers, has never done that
either. While he/they have received the majority of VOTES CAST, the local
elections occur at the end of the school year in May (or possibly June) at the
start of family vacation time rather than during the November General Election
which draws many more voters to the polls.
---
Another "surprise", at least in
Columbus, GA Mayor Skippy's eyes, was the new authority for managing the Civic
Center, the AJ McClung Memorial Stadium, Softball and Ice Rinks. It seems it's
been years since the Civic Center hasn't been "revenue positive"
(different from actually being profitable) in a while, and like the previous
financial mishandling of a landfill receipts shortage, and more recent audit
discovery of lackadaisical management in our City Finances, this
seems not to have been of real concern to either the City Manager nor
Mayor. I was dumfounded when those two feigned not knowing about this
development even though it's been on Council Agenda beginning in January of
2024..
---
Another "surprise" was the announcement
of the Advisory Board for a new City Manager.. Mayor Skippy said he wanted to
make sure the search was "transparent" but was there transparency in
selecting the "Advisory Board".. It seems pretty much politically
active.
Oh, just wondering who picked the Advisory
Board....and when?

From the, "When it rains, it pours!"
department - Online headline: "Columbus chief of police announces
intention to step down in 2026" -- Hmmm.... tough choice as to why...
either crime reports will show a different story than has been previously
released... or.. he doesn't want to get fired and replaced by Mayor
"I-see-a-nothing" Hugley..

Online story: "Sen. Elizabeth Warren
(D-Mass.) on Monday lauded her fellow Democrats for “showing up”
while Republicans are “hiding” from the American people, referring to the
GOP’s avoidance of in-person town halls . * Warren,
in an interview with MSNBC’s Alicia Menendez, weighed in on
the large numbers of rallygoers attending fellow Sen. Bernie
Sanders’s (I-Vt.) gatherings across the country, intended to combat the Trump
administration’s sweeping efforts to overhaul the federal workforce." --
Hmmm... typical Pocahontas drivel.. Whether it be Republicans or Democrats
scheduling "Town Halls", liberal organizations send paid flunkies to
early to fill up the auditoriums and acticely disrupt .. or falsely support...
a candidate.

Online headline: "Republican Maine lawmaker
sues over censure following viral post about transgender student athlete"
-- And she's a real woman in a liberal environment.
Yep...Liberals claim they support Democracy and Free Speech and Women...as long
as they agree with them.

Online headline: "Why is the Council on
American-Islamic Relations hiding its donors? -- DOH! Probably
because it's the same donors who pay protesters to tear up our cities!

Online headline: "Soros and liberal
megadonors behind nonprofit group that added US to human rights watchlist"
-- Well...you certainly would not hear Jim Nabors say, "Surprise,
Surprise, Surprise" to this revelation!

Online headline: "Ex-Anheuser-Busch executive
blames DEI for company’s missteps" -- True, but Budweiser
became more complicit in its losses when it failed to apologize to America’s
biological men and women for making a tranny "the face" of "Dud
Light".

Online headline: "Georgia budget proposes
spending more on poor students for the first time" -- Whoa! Whatta word
game! Test scores show that either 70% of students are "poor
students", or they show 70% of the curriculum is "poor"
for most students.. or "poor" could be just a judgmental attempt to
excuse students who's families fall below cerstain income levels because they
can't succeed unless the "Giver-mint" does it for them...

Online story: "Staff at the U.S. Agency for
International Development, which the Trump administration has targeted to be
shut down, were given an order Tuesday that seems to violate federal law.
* The few USAID employees remaining after Trump’s mass firings were
directed on Tuesday to shred and burn classified and personnel documents
remaining at the office’s Washington, D.C.,
headquarters, Devex reports. * “Shred as many documents
first, and reserve the burn bags for when the shredder becomes unavailable or
needs a break,” read an email from Erica Y. Carr, the acting executive
secretary of USAID, noting that this would be an “all day” event beginning
Tuesday morning. USAID employees were ordered to label the burn bags with the
word “SECRET” and “USAID/B/IO” with permanent markers." -- Good GRIEF!
Treasonous! And I'm sure Ms Carr got some "marching orders" from an
outside source who is not part of DOGE... or any other person in the Trump
Administration! Carr needs to be jailed immediately.. maybe even at GITMO!

Online headline: "Judge blocks deportation of
Columbia University protester " -- You guessed it.. another Obama-Biden
appointee in the Southern District of NY...
