HuffPost headline: "Obama declares latest move by Crimea illegal" -- And the world laughs... in return, I'm sure Putin declared that Judas 00-Barnum's OObamaCRAP law changes are illegal. too. Point to Putin.
---
Yesterday, Judas 00-Barnum came forward on TV, and made announcements concerning Putin's actions in Ukraine. Before he started, he stated he'd be speaking, but Jay Carney would answer any questions. You know, if there was ever a time that we and our allies needed to hear direct answers from Judas 00-Barnum, it was yesterday PM.
---
Hmmm, don't you wonder if Judas 00-Barnum has any second thoughts about his budget cuts to military strength and salaries? Sad thing is, he probably doesn't.
---
You know, under sharia law, Judas 00-Barnum, at a minimum, would have had his tongue cut out.
---
You know, Putin rushing into Crimea is hardly different from Judas 00-Barnum "drawing a red line" about what he would do in Syria if Assad didn't stop.. well, there's one difference, Putin's man enough to keep his promises.
---
We do need a Constitutional Convention; not only to entertain the "28th Amendment" that's circulating around the internet, but also to amend it to make the US Attorney General an elected office. Pric Holder has shown us that we can't continue letting a president appoint someone who won't prosecute existing laws, and goes after states that try to protect themselves from voter fraud, welfare fraud, and illegal immigration.
---
Some Rutgers professors are signing a petition to have Condoleeza Rice dismissed from her invitation to address the Rutgers' Seniors at graduation. Why, on the basis that these professors do not think Rice is a good role model. Huh? Rice is a former Secretary of State... Rice is a beacon for young black women on being successful. Colleges and Universities have got to rid their ranks of racially prejudiced (_*_)s.
---
Online story: "The suspect in a 30-year-old cold case murder committed suicide days after learning that he'd been linked to the crime through fingerprint and DNA evidence, authorities said. * Robert Hathaway, 48, of Fairfield, Calif., hanged himself on Tuesday, four days after police interviewed him about the killing and collected a DNA sample, The San Francisco Chronicle reported." -- Hmmm.. you know what's wrong with this case? 30 years after this crime he never served a day in jail for, he's dead, while 36 years later, we're still boarding, feeding, and wasting tax dollars on court time for C(_*_)rlton "Stocking Strangler" G(_*_)ry.
---
Online headline: "Colorado Cops: Drive High, Get A DUI * New intense efforts to catch stoned drivers starts today" -- Yeah... victimless crime.... If I were in Colorado's law enforcement community, I think I'd send all the drivers caught high on marijuana to DOJ's Pric Holder for disposition.
---
Of course Democrat Elijah Cummings of Martyland was upset at not being able to speak his piece after Chairman Issa adjourned the hearing over former IRS head Lois Lerner's actions. Cumming is used to his Party's boss, Judas 00-Barnum, just overriding the rules that are in place whenever the whim hits him.
---
You know, $19 BILLION+ in US Post Office buildings no longer in use are going to be sold by one real estate firm. The firm is owned by CA Senator Diane Feinstein, and she and her husband will get about $1 BILLION in commission. The sadder thing is that the funds from the sales will go back into the US Post Office coffers. Wait a minute! The US taxpayers bought and paid for those buildings so why doesn't the money get returned to the taxpayers via tax cuts?
---
Chantix... Why is this drug on the market. There's an ad running about a young father who decided to quit smoking after holding his new born sons to his chest. It's great that he wanted to quit, but to take Chantix, which says it might cause suicidal thoughts, could be worse for the young boys' near future than smoking.
---
If electing a Democrat to the Senate will encourage Bleep Veep Biden to visit GA, we need to stand strong, and say, without reservation, that we don't want NUNN of that.
---
"Smokin' in the boys room' has taken on a new life in Sonoma-Los Angeles. Three 8-9 year old boys were caught smokin' marijuana in their elementary school boys' bathroom. Maybe they had allergies and it was medicinal.
---
OObamaCRAP..... Every time Judas00-Barnum opens his mouth now, it's to illegally make a change to OObamaCRAP to try to keep the Democrats running for election in November from getting shut out altogether. You know, Judas 00-Barnum reminds me of a Gilda Radner character... Emily Litella...you know..the one that ranted on & on about a subject, and when corrected, just said, "Never mind" and walked off.
---
Hmmm... even Hillary is getting upset at how Judas 00-Barnum is changing OObamaCRAP laws to throw the impact until after the November 2014 elections. Guess she's finally realized that by doing so, his screw ups will be in full-fledged combat during the 2016 election cycle in which she's aligned herself with him.
---
First time unemployment figures were down and lower than expected. Expected by whom? With the severe weather we've had, what happened is that entitlement workers didn't go to their offices, and new recipients waited until the sun came back out before applying.
---
You know, minimum wage was paid for minimum effort and minimum responsibility. Do you really think that if employers have to pay a higher minimum wage, that minimum wage earners are going to give better effort and take on more responsility?
---
Once again I ask, how can former IRS leader Lois Lerner plead the 5th Amendment when she proclaimed her innocence. While the 5th does protect you from having to say things that will incriminate yourself, but it doesn't protect you from incriminating others. Put her in jail until she cooperates!
---
Latest from my.barackobama.com: " Hal - Right now, Congress is considering raising the minimum wage for the first time in years. * what do YOU think the minimum wage should be?" -- Hmmm, I answered $ 0.00, and got a "Thanks" and a request to donate money to Judas 00-Barnum. Why does this Organizing For Action still have it's 501 (c) 04 status?
---
L-E "headlie": "NIGHTCLUB SHOOTERS GET LIFE * T*****, P*****, must serve 30 years before parole eligibility for New Year’s 2013 killing" -- No, we get 30 years of footing their bills until they get out and repeat another murder.
---
L-E story: "BISMARCK, N.D. — A principal accused of setting fire to the North Dakota high school where he worked had passed background checks and came recommended by clergy and mentors in other states, a school official said Thursday." -- Seriously.. did you think people in another state wouldn't recommend this guy to somewhere in another state? The alternative would be to be truthful and have to keep him around.
---
L-E headline: "OBAMA: WEST WON’T LET KREMLIN CARVE UP UKRAINE" -- Ooops, my bad.. thought Judas 00-Barnum had hired Kanye as his military strategist.
---
L-E story: "AUSTIN, Texas — The last abortion clinic in the vast, impoverished Rio Grande Valley closed Thursday, along with the sole remaining clinic in the 100-mile stretch between Houston and the Louisiana border, posing a tall obstacle to women seeking to end pregnancies across a wide swath of the nation’s second-largest state. * Lawmakers required all abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles, all abortions to take place in a surgical facility and all women seeking abortion-inducing medications to make four clinical visits. Those rules made it impossible for the clinics in Beaumont and McAllen to stay open" -- Now, more women will be much safer if they choose to abort a child... wish it was as comforting to the unborn child, but the woman may be able to make up for it later.
---
L-E headline: "One of Gadhafi’s sons is extradited to Libya" -- Hmmm, now justice would be really served if Barack Obama Sr's son were extradited to Kenya...
---
There's a letter in today's L-E extolling the importance of foreign languages in high schools. The writer asks us to flood our Congresspersons with confirmation. The L-E then identifies her as a high school foreign language teacher so readers will know why she's writing about this matter. Now, why doesn't the L-E identify columnist Karl Douglass as a campaign staffer for Congressman Bishop when he's writing about social and economic issues and government solutions?
---
Does anyone have a 1st or 2nd grader you will loan to my bride and me for a matinee movie? We want to go to see "Mr Peabody and Sherman", and our older children do not want to be seen with us going to that movie. They are too young to remember how good the old 'shorts' were when I was a child.
---
L-E headline: "Girl Scouts asked to end partnership with Barbie" -- Hmmm... bet the same group would be excited if the Boy Scouts adopted "Ken" as its symbol...

Online headline: "State Department Accuses Putin Of Lying On Ukraine" -- Hmmm, Good grief... Our State Department has a better argument about Judas 00-Barnum being a pathological liar.....
---
Online headline/story: "Putin Nominated For The Nobel Peace Prize * President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, according to director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute Geir Lundestad. * the nomination had likely been submitted back in October, when Putin had just acted as a main figure in the deal to disarm Syria of its chemical weapons." -- Makes more sense than Obama winning one in 2009. Putin is actually cited for doing something peacefully in 2013. Obama won on the basis of "reaching out to the Muslim world".. hmmm, how's that working out for "the World"?
---
Online story: Alabama State Representative Alvin Holmes (D - Montgomery), while in session, "“Ninety-nine percent of all of the white people in here are going to raise their hand that they are against abortion,” said Holmes, who is black. “On the other hand, 99 percent of the whites who are sitting in here now, if their daughter got pregnant by a black man, they are going to make their daughter have an abortion. * "You know, the truth sometimes hurts," Holmes continued. "All this stuff about abortion and this and that -- that’s just a con game. That’s for whites, it ain’t for blacks." -- Hmmm, "the truth sometimes hurts"? The hurtful TRUTH is that Representative Holmes, Democrat, is a bigoted, obstructionist black racist.
---
HuffPost headline: "Harsh Winter Puts Drag On Economy, Fed Says" -- Here they come... liberal excuses, that is. Sure harsh weather is a factor in life, but, like every other life situation, when one door closes, another door opens. Harsh weather has been a boon for the snow removal contractors, the snow removal equipment makers, the online retailers, and the cable/internet movie channels. It's amazing at the difference an opportunity is looked at by liberals concerned about entitlement programs, and non-liberals who work hard.
---
Follow up story from yesterday: "The Senate on Wednesday blocked the confirmation of Debo Adegbile, the former head of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, to lead the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division. * As legal counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Adegbile helped Abu-Jamal get his death sentence for killing a police officer overturned. * Seven Democrats sided with all the Republicans in voting against the procedural motion to advance Adegbile’s nomination." -- Now this is what bi-partisan action in the DSenate is all about! It also highlights the Democrats' fear of the November elections.
---
Online story: "Massachusetts' highest court ruled Wednesday that a man who took cellphone photos up the skirts of women riding the Boston subway did not violate state law because the women were not nude or partially nude. * The Supreme Judicial Court overruled a lower court that had upheld charges against Michael Robertson, who was arrested in August 2010 by transit police who set up a sting after getting reports that he was using his cellphone to take photos and video up female riders' skirts and dresses" -- You know.. when you really stop and think about this.. that it is Massachusetts, Massachusetts voters and courts have a history of always forgiven the Kennedys, and John Kerry whenever they were being jerks.
---
Being an alligator recently has not been lucky.. online pics have shown two such beasts being killed and eaten by a snake and a river otter, not exactly creatures we associate with being beastly raptors. Hmm, maybe this is an omen for the Florida Gators in the NCAA tournament.
---
L-E headline/story: "Superintendent Lewis clarifies proposed high school scheduling change * After his 77-minute PowerPoint presentation, Lewis answered questions from the audience for another 40 minutes" -- Good grief, after a hour and 17 minutes of Power Point, I guarantee no one was clear on anything but wanting to get out of there!
---
From same story: In a question and answer session, these were Superintendent Lewis's answers:
1 - I've been here about seven months, so I don't have all the answers yet. I'm going to analyze the data
2 - We have a program that I can't speak about before I share with the board
3 - Yes, there will be a way to assess that. That will be something that will be shown on the report."
4 - I can't be definitive on that until we get the actual allocations
5 - Just so you know, we're looking at impacting the district (office) too.
The questions didn't matter, you could interchange any of these answers for any of the questions asked, or you would like to have heard being asked. After a hour and 17 minutes of Power Point, there shouldn't have been any questions other than: May I be excused? Did I miss something? Where's the bathroom? Your point?
---
Follow up on yesterday's Green Island Drive round-a-bout: I got an e-mail from a very-behind-the-scenes lawyer for the Democrats trying to 'splain what the round-a-bout will be. After several ambiguously written e-missives, either he has no clue of what's planned or what's planned with taken in a football sized area that routes all Bradlley Park, River Road, Cascade Road, and Green Island Drive through the same intersection, and the traffic light at River Road will be removed. Oh, yeah, logging trucks will have a separate lane with a stop sign so potential T-bone accidents will be a thing of the past. Hey, Ms Unidentified candidate, if you're gonna recruit a mouthpiece, at least make sure he has all the info correct about what he's talking about. Additionally, I think the Mayor needs to immediately publish a concept drawing so affected voters can visualize what he was talking about, as he says there are two similar plans, but no definite plans.
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON (AP) -- Essay optional. No penalties for wrong answers. The SAT college entrance exam is undergoing sweeping revisions. * Changes in the annual test that millions of students take will also do away with some vocabulary words such as "prevaricator" and "sagacious" in favor of words more commonly used in school and on the job. * College Board officials said Wednesday the update - the first since 2005 - is needed to make the exam better representative of what students study in high school and the skills they need to succeed in college and afterward." -- Good grief... The SATs were designed to see what students know, not just what the schools decided to teach. Now we have another dumbing down. The penalty for wrong answers was to make takers to determine whether it was to their benefit to take a guess or not; now it will mean it's better to take a guess even if it's a wild one. In addition, dumbing down the vocabulary, especially the two used in this example, seem a little bit encouraged by the current administration - the former describes what he is, and the latter, what he is not. The essay portion was not a good idea to begin with as it was not objective.
---
You know, with just the waffling by Judas 00-Barnum concerning Gitmo , who in the stable of world leaders believes 00-Barnum knows how to make a stand?
---
Why is our media wringing it's hands over the importance of a meeting between Judas 00-Barnum's hand-picked representative and one of Putin's men? Good grief.. Nothing will happen.
---
NASA says there's a only 1-in 10,000,000 chance that the 100 ft wide meteor that's coming between Earth and the moon will hit Earth. Hmmm, that's a lot better chance than someone hitting the lottery but it happens.
---
Lois Lerner..the IRS flunky who initially pleaded the 5th Amendment rather than testify to Congress, is back in front if Congress doing the same. Technically, she forfeited that right the first time when she proclaimed her innocence following her plea. She did it again yesterday.. took the 5th, that is. Hmmm, when you look at her claims, she doesn't have that right if she's as innocent as she claims, because she would not be saying anything that would incriminate herself, and unless she's married to someone, she cannot refuse to testify on the basis it would incriminate someone else.
---
Now that the budget and budget cuts have been addressed by Judas 00-Barnum, let's first ask why Social Security and Medicare are grouped in with SSI and Medicaid. With those screened out, now let's look at why cuts to entitlement programs haven't been on an equal (or higher) level with military cuts.
---
Question of the day for MCSD board members running for re-election: How much in tax dollars have wasted on school buses when parents should be responsible for getting their children to & from school?
---
Looks like baseball needs to move its season up or cancel it entirely. Judas 00-Barnum is probably scheduled to throw out the First Pitch. Problem is that the game Putin had started has shown Judas 00-Barnum to be, at best, a "comic relief pitcher".
---
L-E story: "Russian President Vladimir Putin is a tough but thin-skinned leader who is squandering his country’s potential, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday, a day after she likened his actions on the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine to those of Adolf Hitler in the 1930s." -- Well, an Eva Braun clone would certainly know about Hitler.
---
Low Bible info voter's L-E "soundoff": " If we Christians did a lot more of what the Christ we’re supposed to be following specifically told us to do, then there would be a lot less of what we’re always griping about." -- There will always be liberals and immoral people ignorant of Christian methods and manners, so being a Christian in act and deed will always be challenged by those who haven't found Christ yet.. such as the Soundoff" submitter.
---
L-E story: "Warding off the specter of election-year health insurance cancellations, the Obama administration Wednesday announced a two-year extension for individual policies that don’t meet requirements of the new health care law." -- Good grief.. is Judas 00-Barnum completely lack of shame in addition to his lack of leadership and business acumen? Insurance companies not only were canceling people's policies last November & December because they didn't meet the new criteria, but they also were scrapping those plans, and are not wanting to revive them after learning they could offer worse policies based on higher premiums and with less responsibility as the new policies have bigger deductibles.
---
L-E editorial saber rattling: "Less than six months ago, Vice President Joe Biden toured the Port of Savannah and said the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project (SHEP) needed to be completed “come hell or high water.” * We haven’t seen any high water, but President Obama’s proposed fiscal 2015 federal budget doesn’t include SHEP funding" -- Crocodile Tears!.. the L-E is a lapdog for Judas 00-Barnum's circus, and Bleep Veep Biden is his trained seal. Even a quick scan of 00-Barnum's budget proposal ( which I'm sure the L-E heartily endorses) shows there are only expenditures for entitlement programs, not actual work ones.

You know, the Ukraine is more than capable of bringing Putin to his knees if it wants to do so. It looks like the majority of Russian oil pipelines to Europe come through Ukraine to get to Europe, so plant electronic activated exploding devices along the pipeline, and say, "it's your choice, your move".
---
Online headline/story: "Obama-backed gas law finalized * The Obama administration is driving ahead with a dramatic reduction in sulfur in gasoline and tailpipe emissions, declaring that cleaner air will save thousands of lives per year at little cost to consumers." -- It ain't just the Judas 00-Barnum gas that smells... it's the double dose of BS he piles on. Such changes will have a crippling effect the life of cars in the used car market.
---
Online headline: "$10M in gold coins found in yard might be linked to 1899 U.S. Mint heist" -- Excuse me but what would the government be doing with 1847 - 1894 assorted gold coins in Mint itself? Where'd story come from.. the same safety deposit box where President Obama's birth certificates and college records are kept?
---
Household tip found while surfing the net:
"When it comes to laundry, you can skip the overpriced dryer sheets. Instead, take a piece of aluminum foil and crumple it into a ball that's about 2-3 inches in diameter. Then place it in the dryer for a frugal way to eliminate static. The best part is that it can be reused over and over for up to six months." -- Haven't tried it yet but am going to do so. We used the non-scented dryer sheets, but if you/your spouse likes a scented one, just take a dry wash cloth with a few drops of "essential oils" (such as lavender et al), and throw that in the dryer as well.
---
Online story: "George P. Bush has won the GOP primary for Texas Land Commissioner, the Associated Press reports, defeating Republican businessman David Watts. * Bush, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), is considered the favorite to win November's general election." -- I don't know why there are so many atheist liberals... God has given them another generation of Bush to hate. God is indeed good.
---
Online story: "President Obama's latest budget proposal paints a troubling picture of America's fiscal future:
-- By 2024, the total national debt would rise from $17.4 trillion to nearly $25 trillion.
-- By 2020, U.S. taxpayers would be paying more in interest on the debt than they would on the entire Defense budget.
-- By 2017, those interest payments would be bigger than the budget for Medicaid.
-- You know, Russia is looking more like 'the land of opportunity' in the future... at least for American who work and pay taxes.
---
Online headline: "Dove Pulls Ad Calling New Jersey 'The Armpit Of America' -- Yeah... we vcan't start demanding "truth in advertising" after all these years.. it would cripple another industry.
---
How Hitler was able to kill 6,000,000 people while no one lifted a finger to stop him use to mystify me. Now, after 60,000,000+ million Voters returned him to office, I'm not near as confused.

From the "I thought it was odd" department..Shopping in Atlanta yesterday, found some leather jackets made in India. Aren't cows sacred in India?
---
Economy update: The big trucks about Atlanata are still running lean. It's an important economic indicator.
--
Latest from the DNC: The DNC wants Democrats to get a new bumpersticker (donation, of course) to proudly identify themselves: "Not a Republican" -- Wait a minute... wouldn't "I'm a Proud Obama Democrat" say it better? Of course, this is not going to happen.. now, maybe, if the DNC offered a bumpersticker that read, "I'm a low, one issue voter" everyone would know without a doubt what they are.
---
From the "whatta they thinking" department- You know the Committee to Pave the Chattahoochee set out to restore the Chattahoochee River to it's mid-19th Century conditions before dams were built , and got a bit sidetracked and turned it into an amusement ride, but how does an eyesore such as a zipline fit in with the serenity and naturalness of the river and river walk?
---
From a fellow BCer: "This just in!...... Obama swings into action and unfriends Putin on Facebook!"
---
Another question to ask incumbent candidates seeking reelection to the MCSD: Why do we have 6,000+ employees for 32,000 students. In ,1990, there were 5,000 enployees and 32,000 students. With so many computers to make things more efficient, why are there more employees?
---
Out-in-the-field report from a fellow BCer: "I was in line at the grocery store Sunday afternoon, behind a woman paying for her purchases with her EBT (food stamp) card. She told the cashier that she was pleased to have an app on her smart phone that enabled her to get cash from the program. Why in the heck does anyone on food stamps even have a smart phone? This abuse of a welfare program needs to be stopped pronto." -- Well done, and well said.
---
Online quote source: "“Decisiveness is a characteristic of high-performing men and women. Almost any decision is better than no decision at all.” - Brian Tracy" -- Brian Tracy is a Canadian motivational speaker/entrepreneur. Wonder if he'll get his taxes audited by IRS and his Visa revoked by INS?
---
Preliminary markings have been done to the "$1,000,000.00 Round-a-bout: at GreenIsland Drive/Cascade Road intersection at River Road. Have you seen the area? How can a round-a-bout "work" when the exit is controlled by a traffic light that treats the roundabout exit as secondary to the main highway? Call your Councilor, Glenn Davis in particular, and ask him, since he's lives within a stone's throw of the site. Mayor Obamalinson should either scrap or start it NOW! Green Island residents should know what's in store.
---
You know, constructing the round-a-bout at Green Island Drive and Cascade Road fits the description of "putting lipstick on a pig". It will highlight how ugly the rest of the area roads leading to it are. A Million Dollars would be better spent on widening/curbing and putting in storm sewers in that area.
---
L-E story: " Special Victim’s Unit detectives are searching for a rapist who has targeted Columbus women between 60 and 80 years old near River Road since late February, according to a news release. * Victims have told police that the man knocks on the doors of potential targets, claiming to need directions. After gaining the women’s trust, he assaults them. Two such incidents have been reported between Feb. 25 and March 3, according to the release. Police say similar assaults have also been reported in Phenix City and Russell and Lee counties in Alabama." -- You know, this could possibly have been averted, especially by the last victim who was assaulted and violated, if crime maps and detail descriptions were available daily online. The police have known what the perpetrator looks like and the car he's driving, and the similarities of cases on both sides of the Chattahoochee. This is something to blame on Mayor Obamalinson, too, as money diverted from the Crime Prevention LOST revenues to pay for frivolous after school programs could have had such a map site up and running already.

We're seeing more and more competing GA state colleges pop up with local classroom sites. Wouldn't it be more prudent and cost effective for the University System of GA to let one only state operation operate in a city/area?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today, “Boredom is the root of all evil - the despairing refusal to be oneself.” — Soren Kierkegaard, Danish philosopher (1813-1855)." -- You know.. this is probably the guiding light for the Judas 00-Barnum game plan to keep more and more people on the government dole versus finding them jobs that would occupy their time better and more productively. How many gang members have W2 forms at the end of the year?
---
L-E story: " SAN FRANCISCO — Police on Tuesday were investigating the physical and sexual assault of a transgender teen who said he was attacked in a bathroom at a suburban San Francisco public school where another transgender student had reported being the target of bullying. * The 15-year-old student assaulted Monday, who is biologically female but identifies as male, told officers he was leaving a boy’s bathroom at Hercules Middle/High School when three teenage boys pushed him inside a large stall and assailed him, Hercules police Detective Connie Van Putten said." -- You know... just look at the bastardization of the pronouns used... "she' is not a "he". In a comparative nature, would you substitute calling a Democrat politician a jackass just because he calls himself a "Democrat"? Ooops, bad analogy/example.
---
L-E story: " A senior U.S. drug enforcement official urged Congress and others Tuesday not to abandon scientific concerns over marijuana in favor of public opinion to legalize it * “We should not abandon science and fact in favor of public opinion,” (the deputy administrator for the Drug Enforcement Administration, Thomas) Harrigan said. He echoed previous testimony from James Capra, DEA’s chief of operations, who told a Senate panel in January that “going down the path to legalization in this country is reckless and irresponsible.” * Marijuana is among the most dangerous drugs, it has no medicinal value and it’s illegal in the United States. It’s a stance supported generally by the president’s Office of National Drug Control Policy." -- You know.. do you think Capra and Harrigan will survive the next wave of federal downsizing?
---
L-E's "Quotable": “The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn’t said.” - Peter Drucker American business leader (1909-2005)" -- "most important"... hmmm. is that also true when you already know Judas 00-Barnum isn't telling the truth in the first place?
---
L-E headline: "VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN VISITS ATLANTA FOR NUNN FUNDRAISER" -- Wow! That should prove Ms Nunn is not in touch with GA's needs.
---
While we were driving into Atlanta yesterday morning, we saw 20-30 State Trooper cars pulled off the road. We wondered at the time "why"; now we know why... the Governor was making sure Bleep Veep Biden was escorted in and out of Atlanta as quickly as possible to keep Georgians safe.
---
L-E headline: "U.S. home prices rose at solid pace in January" -- Hmmm, as a homeowner.. I'm glad. As a homeowner in Columbus, I'm even more glad we have the freeze. Otherwise, homeowners in other areas are just going to pay more in taxes. Now, as a home buyer, I'm not so glad... even in Columbus, it means higher taxes when I do buy.
---
L-E story: " RadioShack said Tuesday that it plans to close up to roughly a fifth of its U.S. locations.
The news came as the retailer reported a wider quarterly loss after a disappointing holiday season. CEO Joseph Magnacca said the closings would leave the company with more than 4,000 U.S. stores" -- You know.. I remember when Radio Shack had over 7,000 stores. I remember thinking that with the introduction of home computers, Radio Shack was in position to own the home computer business. I bought my first computer at a Radio Shack. After owning it for a couple of months, I knew Radio Shack had blown a tremendous opportunity. It's computers were "proprietary". They didn't get along with industry standards in hardware or software. Radio Shack saw the opportunity and took the road to greed. Dell, Gateway, Zeos and other garage-started computer makers kicked Radio Shack's butt.
---
L-E story: "United Airlines is getting tough on passengers with oversized carry-on bags, even sending some of them back to the ticket counter to check their luggage for a fee. _ The Chicago-based airline has started a push to better enforce rules restricting the size of carry-on bags — an effort that will include instructing workers at security checkpoint entrances to eyeball passengers for bags that are too big." -- Knew it before I got to the word in the story... United is just another example of Chicago political thuggery!

Tim Wilson.... comedian for the world.. a a home grown friend. He was a classmate of my bride, and I had the opportunity to hear him at work once, and visit with him personally on a couple of other occasions. A funny man...a compassionate man... a family man. He suddenly passed last week, and we saw him off yesterday. Billy Gardel praised him...Ron White said there was nothing to fix, and some of the Atlanta Rhythm Section "hallalujahed" his send off. The facility was cavernous, but while there were seats available, the spirit of his impact on people's lives packed the place. It was a man of comedy's dream last performance.. SRO....
---
God gave us golf..and Judas 00-Barnum. It proves God has a real sense of humor. Maybe that's why He called Tim Wilson home so early.... command performance.
---
Online story: "It seems that only some people can discriminate. The multi-billion-dollar “Walt Disney Company has notified the Boy Scouts of America that it will withdraw all funding from the organization beginning 2015 unless the BSA overturns its policy of not allowing openly gay members to be leaders.” -- You know... we are already looking at a visit to DisneyWorld in 2-3 years for our granddaughter... let me start over - You know we WERE looking at a visit to DisneyWorld....

HuffPost story: "The Russian military has undergone a major modernization in recent years, receiving large supplies of new weapons and conducting massive exercises. Cash-strapped Ukraine couldn't afford such a buildup and its forces have slowly degraded." -- Hmmm.. remember in 2012 during the Romney debate when Judas 00-Barnum, with absolute support of mainstream media, proclaimed the "Cold War" had been over for 20 years? Well, today, we have the same situation as the Ukaine.. cash strapped and degraded military forces.
---
Guess Judas 00-Barnum was wrong about the Russian cold war being over.. Of course, Judas 00-Barnum being wrong is not exactly a surprise once you get passed mainstream media's fixation of his being black. Oh, well, mainstream media had it half right.
---
Putin hasn't just slapped Judas 00-Barnum in the face... he's b*tch-slapped him.
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama: Tough Choices Nearing In Mideast Talks" -- Hmmm, watch the Masters undisturbed or....
---
Let's face it, there's little Judas 00-Barnum can actually do for Ukraine other than declare out&out war. 00-Barnum has neutered his saber-rattling skills by his "Nerf" type approach to terrorist activities.
---
If you are in a MCSD district where a school board member us running for reelection, ask him/her if they are strictly enforcing the new rules about out of county and out-of-state students' families paying the full and proper fees. This applies to teachers/administrators as well.
---
One of Judas 00-Barnum's spinmeisters said there are plenty if ways to put pressure on Putin by revoking visas of other Russian supporters of Putin. By revoking such, there kids can't return for next semester at Harvard and their wives couldn't GI shopping on 5th Avenue. Good grief! How naive can liberals get? This is in the same class of BS as Hillary and Bleep Veep Joe for claiming the slow work market is OK with women because now they can get insurance without having to get a job.
---
Get real...Judas 00-Barnum is no Ronald Reagan, John Kerry is no Alexander Haig, and if you tied Susan King & Samantha Powers together they couldn't hold a candle to Margaret Thatcher so why does mainstream media think Putin gives a whit about threats from this administration?
---
I could hardly believe when I heard that Susan King had briefed Judas 00-Barnum on the military actions taken by Russia in the Ukraine. I mean, who gave her the talking points she told him?
---
Liberals have no clue what diplomacy is all about. It's not about glibness, or verbal dexterity.. not even about capability..it's about credibility and past performances... Judas 00-Barnum has no credibility to bluff... he plays his poker cards up when he only has pair of deuces.
---
Now the truth is coming out...many Democrat states jumped onto the OObamaCRAP bandwagon early with visions of getting federal subsidies quickly for insurance signees. Wait a minute ! Wasn't OObamaCRAP enacted to make healthcare insurance affordable for all individuals? Looks like, instead, the Democrat states just wanted to get more out-of-state taxpayers' money for themselves?

The L-E's database of City employee salaries, while overly invasive giving access by name to all employees, was revealing about some employees. Did you know we have an employee job description for a "Community School Activity Leader... a part time job that pays $8,881.60 to someone (probably a bunch of someones)? What is a "Community School Activity Leader" and why do we have them on the City payroll...sounds like a job for the MCSD?

In case you missed it, Remington is "expanding" (yeah... how about moving to) from NY into Alabama. Remington first began considering new locations after the New York legislature passed the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act in response to the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn. In addition to banning magazines that contain more than seven rounds and requiring instant background checks on ammo purchases, the NY SAFE Act broadened the definition of so-called “assault weapons” to include a wide range of guns, including the Bushmaster, which was being manufactured at Remington’s New York plant. NY may as well cancel its ad campaign to convince companies to move to NY.

Online story: "The Philadelphia district attorney is speaking out against Debo Adegbile, President Obama's nominee for a top Justice Department post (Civil Rights Division.), saying his link to the case of a convicted cop killer "sends a message of contempt" to police -- as the widow of the fallen officer is apparently denied the chance to testify. * she's "extremely frustrated" after being told by representatives of Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., that she won't be able to do so. * Maureen Faulkner, in seeking to testify, claimed Adegbile "personally took on" the case of Mumia Abu-Jamal while working with the NAACP to overturn Abu-Jamal's death penalty. Abu-Jamal was convicted in the 1981 killing of (her husband)Daniel Faulkner. " -- (_*_)bu-Jamal ran up behind Officer Faulkner and shot him in the back. Faulkner turned abd shot (_*_)bu in the chest, then (_*_) shot Officer Faulkner 4 more times as he laid on the ground, including one intentionally aimed shout directly between the eyes. Hmmm, I can see why Judas 00-Barnum thinks Adegbile would be a bookend for Pric Holder.

Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " From June 2001 to June 2008, during the Bush administration, 63 percent of low-income Americans received food stamps. At present, 48 percent of the same category receive food stamps. Interesting." -- Hmm figures may not lie but liars figure a lot. IF the Bush figure is "right" then less 50 Million people were in the "low income" category. If the Judas 00-Barnum figureis correct, then the low-income persons category has risen to 100,000,000. I cannot see where any Judas 00-Barnum supporter should be celebrating.
---
L-E headline: "OBAMA’S 2015 BUDGET APPEALS TO DEMOCRATS" -- I imagine so.. on the other hand.. terrorist leaders also find the Judas 00-Barnum budget appealing as well.. fewer weapons and soldiers to come after them with or keep them from crossing our borders.
---
L-E story: " The Supreme Court indicated Monday that states should look beyond an intelligence test score in borderline cases of mental disability to determine whether a death row inmate is eligible to be executed. -- Instead of an IQ test for criminals.. perhaps there should have one for Federal appeals court judges.
---
Saw where Mayor Obamalinson's salary is now $78,909.00 annually. When the full time mayor's position was created, the mayor's salary was a flat $65,000.00... When did it become $78,909.00?
---
L-E story: " Attorney Mark Shelnutt, who represented the defendant, spent more than 10 minutes of Monday’s hearing questioning both the victim and Richards for specifics about the attack. His examination drew Judge Michael Cielinski’s ire several times, particularly his questions over the both the victim’s and suspect’s current and past relationships. * “I was just trying to establish that he’s in a relationship,” Shelnutt explained after Cielinski reprimanded him for a question relating to St. George’s girlfriend.* “That has nothing to do with rape,” Cielinski retorted." -- You know.. Mark Shelnutt was 'exhiled' for, I believe, a two year period from Muscogee County. Why has he been allowed to come into Columbus and practice law?

The Oscars... Hollywood had a Flintstones yabba dabba doo type time last night. Yes, it was a gay old time.

---
Speaking of the Oscars... was that "chia hair" on John Travolta?
---
No, no, no, no, no... I did not watch the Oscars... I did see a few minutes as my bride and child settled in to see "what 'they' were wearing in the pre-Oscars show before I left to watch another channel on another TV.. I'm just 'reporting' from online observances this AM.
---
Online headline: "Another Massive Winter Storm Bears Down On The East Coast" -- Do you think God is trying to bury Algore's thoughts of a political comeback?
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama To Speak To Allies On Ukraine" -- Hmmm, can you name one that's still on board?
---
HuffPost headline: "US prepares tough response for Russia * John Kerry heading to Kiev" -- Huh? Sending a man who led anti-war protests, and was the obvious model for one of the Muppets as the voice of American resolve and power is a tough response? Gimmee a break. Putin will have to really put on his best serious face to keep from laughing.
---
You know, with elimination of the "don't ask, don't tell", and the elimination of the ban of women in combat, added to the separation of church and state, there would be no moral or gender issue or religious exclusions from the draft that has to be considered in a war situation following the military downsizing.. Looks like we could see a lot of liberals squealing in the near future.
---
L-E story: "Vermont officials say they're launching a new version of an online tutorial to help new drivers prepare for their learner's permit exam. * Officials say the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles was the first to launch an interactive, online tutorial for drivers in 2010, but that the version did not work on mobile devices." -- "did not work on mobile devices"? Good grief....we tell our teens to "study" for their driving tests, and we tell them not to use their cellphones while driving, but Vermont is making it easy for them to just cheat on their driving exam. Even if they pass, what's the driving examiner going to do.. give'em their first ticket for driving while distracted?

HuffPost headline/story: "There's Not One Home for Sale in San Francisco That an Average Teacher Can Afford * the real estate listings website Redfin published a startling statistic. In the entire city of San Francisco, not one home or apartment is available on the market for under $220,000" -- Excuse me.. then how much are we paying our teachers in MCSD?
---
From above story: "Having fewer residents with kids may make taxpayers place less value on funding education, which could lead to relative pay reductions (as opposed to just hiring fewer teachers). * Whether the affordability squeeze in San Francisco ever eases will partly depend on whether the housing market cools off-and whether the wealth pouring into the city ever translates to higher pay for middle class workers, including the city's teachers." -- Hmm.. now we're getting down to the crux of the situation.. teachers' unions in a snobby alternative lifestyle community that has Nancy Pelosi as its representative.

Here's a political tip for local Council/Mayoral race candidates: The $1,000,000.00 round-a-bout at Cascade Rd/Green Island Drive intersection. Scrapping such plans not only would save $1,000,000.00, but would make you the friend of all Green Island area voters. There are only 2 possible exits (by car... if you have access to water and a boat, you could park at the public marina) from the main area of Green Island so when the construction of the round-a-bout starts, traffic ingress/egress will be severely hampered (if not virtually impossible in an emergency) during such period, but even after it's finished.. there will be chaos at the immediate abutment at the River Road traffic light. I cannot see where any input was made by an engineer. Promise to stop it, and you'll get my attention and consideration for my vote and support.
---
While I haven't seen/heard it on Fox News (or mainstream media?? gimmee a break), there's rumblings of Chinese military alignments/bases in Mexico and Canada.. I'm not going to push any conspiracy theories, but from a military strategy point of view.. it's genius. Pric Holder would probably send them weapons, and the troops could just walk over the borders unhampered.

Online story: "A White House official emailed some reporters to say that President Obama's team met today to discuss the ongoing situation on Ukraine. It appears President Obama did not attend. * "The President's national security team met today to receive an update on the situation in Ukraine and discuss potential policy options. We will provide further updates later this afternoon," reads the full statement." -- Hmmm, and it was not even a day the golf course in the DC area were open....
---
Why do we pay teachers/administrators "vacation pay"? Most don't use it, but accumulate it to use later as shortening period to retire early. Besides, they get more vacation time during the school year than most of us get from our 12 month jobs, plus most get 6-8 weeks off during the summer months.
---
Online story: "“Barbers in Toronto, Canada who refused to cut a lesbian's hair have become the target of a human rights complaint, in a case that pits religious freedom against gender equality. When Faith McGregor went into the Terminal Barber Shop requesting a short haircut, she was told the shop only grooms men. The reason, co-owner Omar Mahrouk said, was that as a Muslim he could not cut the hair of a woman who was not related to him. * The barber appealed to his Islamic religious beliefs for the refusal. This would be similar to an orthodox Jew or Islamic butcher who refused to slaughter a pig because of specific religious requirements regarding handling certain unclean meats. -- heh heh heh so much for Canadian refuge for LGBT draft dodgers when the military cutback cause the draft to be reinstated.

The "Dignity" Vietnam War Memorial has a sorta permanent home.. for a few years anyway. Now it's at rest at a most wonderful location.. at the National Infantry Museum just outside Ft Benning.. it's quite appropriate.. perhaps the most appropriate location it could be. Write whomever you know to campaign for it being there permanently.
---
Looks like were going to get injury to insult soon. The new Phenix City Marriott will open late this summer. Seemingly, that's a good thing, but there be 99 rooms with the best river view of any Columbus area hotel/motel that won't be collecting Columbus LOST, SPLOST, T-SPLOST or the room taxes our Council/Mayor fought so hard to collect from Expedia. It's not just 99 rooms that are more desirable for the efforts and expense Columbus tax dollars were poured into, it's 99 rooms that will get filled at the expense of Columbus, GA facilities.
---
Thinking voter's L-E "soundoff": "TIME FOR A SCHEDULE CHANGE - We need to change the school year to March through November. Vacation months December through February. This would take care of most potential “snow” days." -- Hey, we already have them air conditioned, and the school board keeps a lot of them open in the summer anyway for breakfast/lunch programs, so why not? Besides. it would be cheaper to heat them in the unused Winter months for feeding programs than it is to air-condition them in the Summer months.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " I love to eat but because of the new rules in the food stamp office I don’t have anything to eat." -- You know... once in a while we pick up info from unexpected sources.. I, for one, andprobably a lot of you, too, did not know there were ANY rules at the food stamp office..
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Some people stay longer in an hour than others do in a month.” — William Dean Howells, American author and editor (1837-1920)." -- Hmmm, Wonder how many hours too long Judas 00-Barnum's 8 years in office will compute out to be?
---
L-E story: "New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who plans to skip the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade because participants are banned from carrying signs or banners identifying themselves as gay, joined the gay-friendly St. Pat’s For All Parade Sunday, saying it honors the traditions of the city by celebrating inclusion." -- Oh, he's skipping the primary St Pat's Parade because in excludes homosexual/lesbian exclusionary groups. Hmmm, the Mayor is not 100% inclusive as he wants to appear. Shouldn't he do both?
---
L-E story: " Thousands of anti-government activists marched peacefully Sunday to an upper-class Caracas district shaken by more than two weeks of unrest, trying to maintain the movement’s momentum during a long holiday break. * Afterward, several hundred protesters erected barricades, burned tires and threw rocks and fireworks at National Guard troops, who responded with tear gas in what has become a nearly nightly ritual of clashes since mid-February. No injuries were immediately reported." -- "marched peacefully"? Has anyone from mainstream media thought that this may actually have been a revolution with by a citizens' militia that didn't have the right to bear arms?

HuffPost headline: "Russian Parliament Grants Putin Permission To Deploy Armed Forces In Crimea Region" -- Now that's a "RED LINE"...
---
Wait a minute...maybe we're being too tough of Judas 00-Barnum... actually he has drawn two "red lines" that he's crossed... actually he's crossed them too much.. one 'red line' called the National Debt, and the 'red line' he's drawn through parts of our Constitution.
---
Hey, Judas 00-Barnum... Putin has just thrown down his gauntlet.. watcha gonna do next?... Pssst.. going to DisneyWorld and golfing are not options.
---
HuffPost headline: "Obama Calls Putin, Suspends US Participation In G-8 Prep Meetings: -- Hmmm..Good grief... If the situation were reversed, Putin would have called France, West Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Canada and banned Judas 00-Barnum's participation in the G8.
---
Since Judas 00-Barnum won't be participating in the Gang of 8, he can just get back to practicing his gang tactics on Congress.

HuffPost headline: "More Than Two Dozen Killed In Knife Attack At Train Station In China" -- Ooops, thought China had invented a fully automatic AK-machete.

Online story: "Obama quietly issued a health law fix Thursday to help these states. Several Democratic-led states, including Oregon, Maryland, Massachusetts and Hawaii, are still trying to solve website problems that have eclipsed those experienced earlier by the federal HealthCare.gov site" -- "quietly"? Like he wants to make a big deal out of it. Unfortunately... ordering such does not mean it will actually happen.. he, Judas 00-Barnum "ordered" the OObamaCRAP website, and you know how "fixed" that was....

Online story: "McKesson (MCK) lowered the pension payment of chief executive John Hammergren by $45 million on Friday in response to increasing shareholder pressure. * The company’s joint chairman and CEO voluntarily reduced his benefit in a letter to McKesson’s compensation committee Friday after “shareholder feedback” sparked an overhaul of the medical supplier's long-term equity and cash compensation programs." -- Excuse me, but without a figure of what the $45 MILLION was cut from, we have no idea of what the pension package is, but it has to be outlandish. Maybe the shareholders should have just lowered 'the boom' altogether.
---
Think about the number Judas 00-Barnum is cutting active duty troop levels to this year... it's less than we had when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Wonder if Judas 00-Barnum will enact the next draft by "pen and phone"? Speaking of a draft... will being female, or LGBT get you a draft exclusion as in the past?
---
Online story: "At a Black History Month event Tuesday, Director Spike Lee responded to a question about gentrification.."Here's the thing. I grew up in Fort Greene," Lee continued. Online story: "Radical Muslim rebel groups in Syria reportedly are shaking down the Christian population for protection money in the form of gold. * Christian minority population fears that they are becoming targets by extremists looking to overthrow President Bashar Assad. * It underscores that fact that as a Christian you are left with the choice between siding with a dictator or siding with the rebels" -- Hmmm.. wonder if Judas 00-Barnum will draw another 'red line' (which he won't cross) or continue funding the rebels with weapons to kill Christians?
---
Online story: "A major Chinese government news service has used a racist slur to describe the departing American ambassador in a mean-spirited editorial that drew widespread public condemnation in China. * The article called Gary Locke a "rotten banana," a guide dog for the blind, and a plague. It reflected Chinese nationalists' acute loathing toward the first Chinese-American to have been Washington's top envoy to Beijing." -- In reality... was the Chineses disdain actually aimed at the Ambassador or for the man who sent him there?

There's an ad for some kind of light emitting hair removal device and some dude is "shaving" his arm with it. OK..that was freaky enough, but then the guy said "it's as good as a wax job, but with out the pain". You know, I don't think I'll ever buy anything recommended by some guy who actually knows the pain of a wax job.

HuffPost headline: "Brad Pitt has never won an Oscar" -- Well, guess what... there's a real good reason... he's not an Oscar worthy actor nor capable of doing justice to an Oscar worthy role.

If 00bamaCRAP really would lower insurance premiums and medical costs, you wouldn't see many insurance companies advertising to get you to sign up. Insurance companies advertise because you buying it is profitable to them.
---
To kick off his latest plans for $300 BILLION for stimulus projects, Judas 00-Barnum is screaming that the other stimulus project worked in spite of what everybody else says. What economist is he quoting.. one from Solyndra?
---
A California town's school superintendent earned $363,000.00 last year. Other facts are that the entire school system had 3 schools and only 6,500 students. Thank goodness our school board didn't hire him and his contract agent.
---
What is this ruse being perpetrated by big Democrats? Hillary, and Bleep Veep Biden are telling women they no longer have to work to get health insurance. Do Democrats actually believe that's why women work? Do Democrats believe women don't have families or need a roof over their heads, or need gasoline for their cars? It can only be because the upper level Democrats want women to stay home and let either the government or their spouse to take care of them.

Too long time board member John Wells is running again for re-election to our school board. Wells' opponent ought to make, "Haven't we gone to the Wells once to often?" his campaign slogan * Another might be "Time to Flush the School Board's John".
---
The L-E ran an article on the salaries of City employees... seems to me, this kind of info would better serve the public if the L-E ran it the day before every election.
---
From the above story, the L-E points out that Augusta, very similar structure and population base, has 260 less employees, and that the salary savings for cutting Columbus' employee number by such would amount to a $9.25 Million dollar savings which is about what the budget deficit is projected. Throw in the benefits and Columbus would save some serious bucks, but that's not going to happen.. at least not soon. Doing so would probably change votes of some 1500+ voters to the challenger. (Employee discharged plus spouse, plus two sets of parents - 6 votes X 260 employees).
---
If the L-E really wants to be of public service, it would also include the taxpayer costs of benefits provided.. everything from City provided insurance, pension, free Civic Center tickets, service discounts, and vehicles. Combined with actual salaries, we'd have a better picture as to how efficient the City is.
---
You know, when a politician wants to post the average of crime figures that have occurred in his/her term, it's because the latest figures are higher than the earlier years, so this years numbers can be averaged downward to look better. The reality is that the numbers are trending up.
---
I'm seeing a lot of "50 year's ago" stories about Civil Rights movements and protests. That's history.. and it's good history is remembered but history serves society better when "journalists" temper the past with what changes have occurred at the present.
---
L-E headline: "SIX LOTTERY OFFICIALS GET $10K RAISES * This in a year after Legislature cut HOPE payouts to students" -- How naive can mainstream media be? Name me one government program that doesn't take care of its employees better than the recipients of the services.

L-E story: " The 2014 issue of Super Lawyers magazine includes three Hatcher, Stubbs partners in the annual list of the top 5 percent of attorneys in Georgia." -- Hmmm, notably, Frank Myers' name is not on this list. Does anyone blame the MCSD board for wanting Hatcher-Stuubs representing school business versus Frank Myers?

Online headline: "Kansas to Massachusetts: Up to a Foot of Snow to Fall Across 1,300 Miles" -- Hmmm... the South gets picked on a lot by the Northerner mainstream media centers and erudites, but when was the last/first/only time you heard of a Southerner moving up North for retirement?

Online headline: "Obama: Any Violation Of Ukraine's Sovereignty Would Be 'Destabilizing'" -- Good grief... Sounds like Judas 00-Barnum just threatened Putin with a lashing by wet spaghetti noodles. I'm going to stay up and watch Saturday Night Live just to see the skits it has on tonight.
---
Hey, Judas 00-Barnum... Putin has drawn a true "RED" line, and he knows you won't cross it!
---
What's it gonna take to get a row out of Judas 00-Barnum? We know a "cold war" isn't going to do it, so how about a "hot" one.. he could initiate his :Global Warming" plan of attack he's been working on so hard.
---
HuffPost headline: "Piers Morgan Ready To Move On" -- Hmm, guess it's about time.. the rest of the world moved on some time ago.

HuffPost headline/story: ""Bridgegate' Traffic Jam 911 Tapes Released * FORT LEE, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey town has released hours of dispatch tapes from the week in September when a traffic jam engineered by Gov. Chris Christie's aides clogged streets near the George Washington Bridge. * The traffic jams occurred from Sept. 9 to 13 in Fort Lee. Town officials have said they caused unnecessary delays for first responders." -- Hmmm, excuse me but this appears to be a "McCaining" of Gov. Christie.. From the Ft Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps website: "The Ambulance Corps also staffs a bike team often visible at special events in town such as the St. Rocco’s feast, Madonna Carnival, GWB Bridge Challenge, and the Main Street Health Fair. The bike team carries specially designed medical equipment that allows immediate emergency care and stabilization to begin at emergency incident until the arrival of the ambulance and/or paramedics." -- The Bike Corps is in addition to ambulance services, what access problem?
---
How about an update on the various LOST, SPLOST, and T-SPLOST tax revenues through December 31, 2013! Today is March 1st, and not only would the figures give us a pretty good and accurate indication of what's going on in our local economy, it would show us the depth of the miscalculation of the School Board's expectations for building projects. I especially want to hear from those who are seeking re-election.

HuffPost headline: "Mary-Kate Olsen engaged to boyfriend" -- Good grief.. the HuffPost is almost sounds disappointed that Mary-Kate is engaged to a man....

Wonder how many retired horses will now be on the way to the slaughter houses/glue factories?

Online headline/story: "Betty White is older than sliced bread. * Sliced bread was introduced in 1928 by inventor Otto Frederick Rohwedder. Something's never change...one of those is convicting a Kennedy. Kerry Kennedy got acquitted for DUI by claiming she accidentally took the wrong pill. Hey, that excuse has worked for all Kennedys.. A federal appeals court upheld a CA high school's right to make students turn their American Flag t-shirts inside out. The judge said student safety trumped the students' 1st Amendment Rights. Excuse me, but federal courts in the past neutered schools from locker searches for drugs and weapons & such based on the 4th Amendment. Personally, I don't think minor children have any Constitutional rights until they finish high school...only the rights their parents have allowed them.

A Florida restaurant is adding a 1% surcharge to customer bills to pay the some of the costs of OObamaCRAP. Now, how does the restaurant process this. It can't be handled as a tax, so it'll have to listed as income, and don't you know the IRS is going to go after that for tax purposes, which means 25-40% of that surcharge will go into the government's pocket...
---
Online quote source: "“You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him.” - Audrey Hepburn" -- Another one of those adages that you'll never see in Judas 00-Barnum's home.

It's finally raining in California... guess God has let the people of California suffer enough under Democratic Party non-solutions. Hey, Californians.. God loves you, but maybe he's making a point you should vote for more conservative people.. as the Bible says.. God helps those who help themselves... not those who help themselves to other people's money.

Stupidly low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "To those people who are “sure” of Carlton Gary’s guilt; how do you explain the gap teeth imprint which Carlton Gary didn’t have?" -- Hmmm, how about close to 30 years of taxpayer paid dental work....?
---
Possibly the same guy as above's L-E "soundoff": " Josh McKoon’s SB377 “Preserving Religious Freedom” allows businesses to deny services to anyone on the basis of a “sincerely held religious belief.” Simply put, it is government-sanctioned discrimination." -- Liberals clamor for the complete separation of religions and state yet want the state to monitor/persecute religious beliefs.
---
Viciously published L-E "soundoff": " CONSIDER THE SOURCE - Ted Nugent on CNN said President Obama needs to earn his respect. This from a guy who is an admitted child molester and Vietnam draft dodger." -- Consider the source? Consider the "selector" for this "Soundoff" item. This is really scraping the bottom of the barrel for the L-E. I do believe the L-E would have a hard time using the "absence of malice" law suit defense.

L-E story: " A spokeswoman for the New York City medical examiner said Hoffman died from a mix of heroin, cocaine, amphetamines and benzodiazepines, which are drugs such as Xanax and Valium that are widely prescribed for anxiety, trouble sleeping and other problems. His death was ruled an accident. * Law enforcement officials have said Hoffman was found Feb. 2 with a needle in his arm, and tests found heroin in samples from at least 50 packets in his Manhattan apartment." -- "his death ruled an accident"? Was our coroner flown up as the "Guest Coroner"?

L-E story: "( A century old) bridge across the Sandy River in New Sharon was built in 1916 but hasn’t been used since the 1990s. The Maine Department of Transportation told New Sharon officials in November that it was in danger of collapsing and that the state would pay to remove it. * An initial blast of explosives failed to bring the structure down as planned Thursday afternoon, because there were steel beams in the abutments that officials weren’t aware of, the Morning Sentinel reports. * The bridge eventually came down about three hours after the blast, and an excavator finished the job." -- Good grief... a bridge deemed unsafe took three hours to destroy intentionally, and it was safe all along. People have been inconvenienced for nearly 25 years because of government inefficiency, and when the government realized it wasn't unsafe to begin with, it tore it down just to prove it's point.

From the L-E's "Fifty years ago today" feature: " State Rep. Joe Hurst, who Friday pleaded guilty to a charge of vote fraud, emerged Saturday as the only candidate qualified to seek re-election to the legislative post in the Quitman County primary April 2. * State level Democrats may decline to certify Hurst as a candidate. This warning was issued Saturday by Travis Stewart, executive director of the State Democratic Executive Committee." -- My how times have changed.. today's DNC would be backing him for Congress or Senate.
